In capitalism, you pretty much have a 50/50 chance of being rich or poor. In communism, it's 1/99. What makes people think they have the luck/skill to become the 1% if they can't even succeed in a 50/50 society???

I'm not particularly keen on their handling of the attacks on PUL communities but my choices are extremely limited and I don't imagine Willy Frazer and Jamie Bryson will be going anywhere soon other than the loony bin.

Eh.
I'd prefer an unabashedly ultra-social liberal who would just keep the status quo on the economy or maybe shift it a little bit left in favor of slightly better income redistribution.
We're mostly ok in economics to be fair, other than sustainability (Which really needs some addressing.)
Personally, i'd go for a major state project employing people to do green energy shit as the big keynesian project, Federalize the union, abolish the lords and replace it with a jurist second house, then just go absolutely fucking crazy with legalizing things along libertarian social values.

That'd be fairly decent, yes. Though I want some kind of solution for the rail companies. They're in a shit state right now.

Precisely, if there were one thing to be renationalised, make it the railways. It's painful seeing them being run so ineptly by private companies.
