Rapid Response Force Announcement
ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THE INTERNATIONAL FREEDOM ALLIANCE

In response to the attack and occupation of a military base located within the Republic of Bratislav, the government of the United Provinces of New Korongo has decided to place the Rapid Response Force of the International Freedom Alliance at maximum readiness. At this stage, the RRF will not be deployed operationally against the forces of the Masalian Islamist Union. The Agreement for the Creation of the IFA Rapid Reaction Force states that the force is intended to “militarily aide member-states that are attacked without provocation by external countries”. The evidence available at this time cannot prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the MIU is sponsored and endorsed by the Socialist Treaty Organisation, and the MIU must therefore be classed a domestic threat which is not covered by the agreement. If the situation escalates and links between the MIU and the STO can be confirmed, the RRF will be deployed to assist the armed forces of the Republic of Bratislav. If any government which has contributed to the RRF opposes this policy, they retain the right to withhold their contributions from military operations or withdraw them entirely. The government of New Korongo also encourages the IFA to discuss the appropriate application of the RRF in this situation.

Without hesitation, the government of the United Provinces of New Korongo has voted in favour of condemning the Masalian Islamist Union for their unprovoked and unjustifiable initiation of hostilities against the Republic of Bratislav. These extremists have undermined the democratic process through which the rights of all Bratislav rights are protected by choosing a path of reckless violence which has already claimed the lives of several innocent individuals. They care not for the interests of the people, both Bratislav and Masalian, and only seek to gain power by subjugating whoever they are able to control through fear. We must demand that the Masalian Islamist Union releases all hostages peacefully before more lives are vanquished as a result of their terrorist actions. However, as a government that has dealt with terrorism before, we realise that this is an unlikely outcome. It is for this reason that we are dispatching the 41st Long Range Patrol Group, currently operating in the vicinity of Atlas region, to the Republic of Bratislav immediately. If the situation cannot be resolved peacefully, the eighteen AV-8B Harrier II fighters attached to the naval formation will be on station to provide assistance to the armed forces of the Republic of Bratislav.

I turn on the television and I change it straight to CCNA and I see that fascist rebels have set off a bomb in Connolly Square and multiple groups of rebels are attacking government buildings. I was immobilized with fear, for five months we lived under constant fear of what was to come next. I would like to devote 250 Columbionite Defense Force soldiers to help in a recovery effort. I hope you will accept, the people of Columbion are all praying for you.

MILITARY AIRPORT - GROĴ, BRATISLAV

The Elite Special Forces (Alpha Green) of the Bratislavian Army were packed and ready at the Military Airport. It was around 2am. The Corenean Forces had also just arrived. Everyone was getting ready for the attack at dawn. Several people were concerned that the attack may result in the killing of some of the hostages. The plan however was as such:

1)Send in 15 "Islamic Militants", in fact Native Masalians that are working for the Army.
2)They come in as new recruits, the necessary arrangements have been done to ensure this is set-up well
3)The Masalians report back the detailed positions and weak points.
4)Order is given. Masalians inside attack their targets and the Special Forces via helicopter storm the base in full force.

Several Bratislavian Ka-50 Helicopters were being readied for the attack. The attack would commence upon direct command from President David Albanov.

[Corenea]

2 squadrons of the 666th DevilDog Battalion entered the military airport of Groj. They agreed with the current rescue plan prposed by the Bratislavian counterparts and now they must wait for the mission to begin.

Meanwhile, the FSS Victory and the FSS Buchaneer naval fleets prepared for a landing of 5,000 Marines, 340 transport vehicles, and 64 tanks to go with the ground assault in case the operation fails. Captain Jack Pennings was worried. If the rescue operation fail then Corenea might go to war again and is not what they want. "Come on Devildogs, you have to succeed," Pennings thought to himself.

[Amastia]

After sweeping the area, the Mi-17's send in data and situational reports to the other countries, as Amastia was first in the air. They soon land, and refuel at Groj, military airport. It was bustling with activity.

The pilot and two marines walked out of the first helicopter as it was refueling. They meet with a Bratislavian Officer on the tarmac.

He greets in Amastian; "Hppe Npsojoh, J bn Dpnnbodefs Bebn pg uif Bnbtujbo obwz!" (Good morning, I am Commander Adam of the Amastian Navy.)

He then speaks English; "How can we help out?"

Around 4,000 Bratislavian Alpha Green Special Forces are ready to depart from the airport and commence the operation. The Devil Dog Battalion of Corenea is also ready to go. The cargo helicopters that will be carrying the troops begin to depart, accompanied b several Ka-50 Attack Helicopters.

One of the command officers noticed the official from Amastia, and replied, "Your men are to stand down. We cannot have non-IFA military forces in our territory. This is a constitutional requirement."

Bratislavian Military Base - Masalia

The undercover Islamist Militants enter the military base. They are nervous but well prepared for the scheme, quickly they are asked upon entering the base.

"Who are you? You are not to trespass here!"
"We are recent recruits by order of Eshmelov. We are here to support the operation here."
"I was not notified of this. Get me Eshmelov on the phone!"
The militants make a fake call to an expert who poses as Eshmelov (a high ranking commander) and says that the recruits were sanctioned by him.
"The militants are allowed in and begin surveying the base. The notice many heavily armed Islamists, explosives are scattered throughout the base. The hostages are in a basemen room, heavily guarded.

President Petrovitch sat in his office reviewing the report. Apparently Masalian insurgents had seized control of a base and abducted some military personnel fronm Bratislav and Coronea. The President and many Ordians still felt the sting of what they called a betrayel from Bratislav, nor had they forgotten the sensational horror stories of what occured in Masalia under the Bratislav Regime. The Ordian administration had some years ago promised they would not forget the Masalians and their suffering, perhaps it was time to contact old friends?

A gust of wind picked up in the Capital, it was noon, and everyone was relaxing and having lunch, not a soul in the nation seemed effected by the events that had unfolded, nor those unfolding. At the Ordian embassy in Bratislav, a very unique message was being recieved by the staff and the Ordian ambassador...

As the last Gator Type helicopter departed the GSS Spedfast, Admiral Frensde smiled. He'd do anything he can to help any IFA member. He had ordered the 8 warships he brought with him to strategic locations around the naval base. That way, the Islamic militants inside couldn't escape by sea. Meanwhile, 3 snipers on top of the closest ship to the base, the GSS Crediloon Creator, stood by with high-powered snipers. When the operation began, they would give the operatives on the ground support. Frensde wasn't sure It would be effective, but it was worth a shot. The fleet waited patiently for their next move.

Meanwhile, Gator type helicopter land at the GROĴ airport in Bratislav. They unloaded the 500 Advanced Placement Special Forces. When they found out they had already left, the Advanced Placement troops immediately took off again to catch up with them. On their way, they sent a message to them asking what their task was.

"Hello. Guerrian back up has arrived, and we are currently on our way to your location. Our navy has surrounded the base, there is no way for them to escape using the sea. What us on the ground do, however, is up to you. All of us will do anything to help.

They splintered from the more moderate Masalian Separatists that were defeated in the previous war and now follow a pro-Bratislav policy. These Radicals oppose the IFA and I am afraid that STO might be supporting them, as instability in Bratislav is something good for our enemies. We will stay in contact regarding this.

His aide brought in one of the new Masalian recruits that had come to the base.

At Sea
The Lollohian corvette and the transport it was escorting were slowly coming towards Masalia, along the Bratislavian coast. The transport carried Ytunni Company of the 13th Marines, 100 men, as well as numerous MANPADs and anti-tank weapons for fighting the Bratislavians, as well as more standard equipment, such as 7.62mmx51mm NATO rounds by the millions and several hundred G3A3 rifles to supply the insurgents. Of course, the guard was fairly light. The corvette and its transport had instructions to turn around and go back home if any Bratislavian or allied ships told them to do so.

Now learning that the need was in the mountains, not on the sea, the decision was to deploy paratroopers over Masalia, to help establish a countryside system.

After hearing these orders, inside, the Amastian officer was shocked. He was very surprised that the Bratislavian said what he said. Immediately after, he said;

"With all do respect, we will continue operations and provide military and medical assistance on the sea. In our constitution, we have the right to suppress terrorist organizations threatening international safety and peace. As an Amastian, it is my right to follow my country's constitution and my countrymen and I will defend your nation against harm. We have just received word about a possible naval confrontation and we must go back to our respective ships to defend them. We hate to violate your constitution, and we respect your wishes to the highest degree, but we can't just leave. After all, we came here from a long way to help resolve this crisis. If you have anymore issues, please contact my commander and the Amastian president. Good luck. We hope you kill those bastards!"

Immediately, he and his marines rushed back to their fueled helicopters and took off.

On the ANS Aklat and Lempor, the ships crew were given general quarters. They immediately brought the ships to life, and sailed to intercept the possible hostiles. They were nervous, and excited, as this was going to be their first combat experience since World War Two. They were also nervous about the Bratislavian reaction to the disobeyed order. They feared about the consequences, but were more focused about the upcoming event.

BRATISLAVIAN BORDER CONTROL has been put on high alert given the unfolding crisis. There is intel that suggests foreign states may become involved in support the Islamist Terrorists. The Republic of Bratislav reiterates that any state that militarily supports the Islamist Terrorists of Masalia is declaring war on the Republic of Bratislav.
