Hmm, I want to RP the spread of culture/trade emanating from the the centres of civilisations so either you or Fortunagen would be suitable in the future.

Anyway my long term goal for Medieval times is to have a Gondor-like system of a capitals and several fiefs, already in the making with my current nation set-up

Quirina was the player who owned the Iberian Peninsula in the last RP. He was essentially the World Police and attacked anyone who went against the Spanish Agenda and anytime that they won, or a country on their targeting list became weakened, it was called the Spanish Miracle. Ostyrlonia (My previous nation) was literally smashed into pieces by the Spanish, Bakarus (Orson's previous nation) was heavily weakened, but then ultimately crippled Spain. So, essentially, they governed the world from 1500 to 1825.

Culture-wise, I'm basically doing Greece because why teh fuq not. I have city-states and wars and stuff, but because my current culture is petty elaborate, IDK if another one coming in is going to be RPable from my end.

Well that recent expansion wouldn't have had that much of a population shift as its essentially a colony. But indeed you are more advanced. I was gonna just have tribal barbarians run an invasion, but maybe not.

He pretty much instilled fear into the heart of Europe for the longest time in that RP. That's why there weren't too many wars going on there (Well, with the exclusion of the Napoleonic Hozidan Empire conquering half of it) Trust me, he formed an alliance that included pretty much everyone in Europe except for Ostyrlonia and Bakarus (Orson and myself), which is why we were really the only two targets by Spain & the Rose Coalition. Trust me, you did not want to fight Quirina's Spain.

He was generally unable to make a single post without talking at length about how great Spain was, and about how it was supposedly the dominant world power, and how he'd "Spanish Miracle" all of his opposition, sometimes with the assistance of his "Rose Coalition." By the last iteration of the thread though, moving into the 1800s, they were little more than boasts; he took extremely heavy losses against Bakarus and went isolationist for a bit while still claiming he was secretly the number one power that no one acknowledged. When WWI broke out, he tried to rally his Rose Coalition to gank Ostyrlonia, but half of them bailed and pretty much all of the Pacific and most of Asia declared war on the remaining Rose Coalition members. That was when things started slowing down in the old thread, and he basically quit when it became clear the war wouldn't be an easy win for his coalition and in the long run was a fairly certain strategic defeat.
