We first were for the western nations before switching over to the dictatorships.

My Slavic nation was a member of the Warsaw Pact.

We didn't really take either side, but, largely out of sheer awe and fear, were generally kinder to the Soviets. We still can't figure it out exactly.

Aridiya was offically neutral. Covertly, the country assisted the United States. It was good for business, normally. The Soviets were bad for business, normally. This situation gave rise to: a secret U-2/SR-71 base in Aridiya, redentions of captured communists, illegal commodity trading(an Aridiyain specialty), unique banking proceedures and covert operations specialties. We have never been the most morally clean country on the planet. We do know how to conduct good business.

I suppose, in a hypothetical situation such as a nuclear standoff between two superpowers seperated by economic ideologies...Ramsetia would remain neutral Our WMD countermeasures would be capable of withstanding attacks from either side, for long enough that we could evacuate our citizens, at least.

if either side were to attempt to force us to follow their ideology, we would resist, as something as simple as economic methodologies are really stupid to go to war over.

However, we realise we are not invulnerable, and would likely side with whichever side of the argument wasn't attempting to force us to their camp.

Any attempts from foreign powers to establish military bases in our nation would be met with resistance, from all possible theatres.

Neither, seeing as our country during the Cold War years was run as a Falangist dictatorship (the same style as the Franco dictatorship), like most other Latin American countries during the time period.

Several Battles being fought on its borders, Meltingpottopia made a Treaty with the Soviets to offer some protection, and trade. The Allies made similar deals.

In an effort to boost our economy, we secretly traded with both sides, but a bit more to the Western capitalists, due to preference.

The term "Cold War" reminds Yannians of the 2002 price war of ice cream vendors. Early in the year, one of the country's major ice cream vendors decided to reduce the prices. This move was quickly followed by most other vendors, while some others sought to maintain their prices by improving quality, or increasing promotion. By the end of the tourist season, prices were back at the normal level, and several vendors, including the war's initiator, had gone bankrupt. Many Yannians expected another war the next year, but that never happened.

We picked up some broadcasts during this time from Earth, but were far too busy melting down Autobots to involve ourselves in this not-a-real-war that was going on there.

We did discuss it quite a bit, but found that we couldn't really support either side.

One side was run with dictators, which is fine...but it was also infested with communists who wanted to bring everyone down to a level we would consider fit only for the Foundry.

The other side had Capitalism, which we like well enough...but was full of idiocracies where the dull-witted masses got to *choose* their leaders, who were predictably often dim, considering what they had to appeal to in order to win their seats.

Fortunately, once we won the Cybertronian Civil War, we took care of the issue by simply invading the entire Earth regardless of the politics of its regions.

We have fought many wars in the cold, due to having a rather chilly climate in much of the Empire.

We're not sure what this business about a specific war called "The Cold War" is, though. And what's all this blathering about the twin bankrupt ideologies of communism and capitalism?
