Alright. I'm going to put up the intro post in a few. We'll pause all other stories while we run this special event. We'll return to those stories afterwards so keep track of where you left your characters.

Refresher:

Da Rulz

You play yourself. No special powers. No fursonas. No special skills except ones you already have in real life. You don't play a caricature of yourself. A caricature is something ludicrously exaggerating the peculiarities or defects or attributes of persons or things. Just be you. Don't go overboard to reveal too much personal information (you can use your nation's nick name ie "Tilt" or "Cer" or your real first name if you want; do not disclose your address or other vital information that can be preyed upon by unscrupulous people; don't tell us what school you go to; that sort of stuff.)
You have knowledge of Bielefeld because you play here. If you're new to PL, your knowledge is limited of course. This is a good way to learn the ins and outs of the world.
You aren't going to be able to bring any gear in unless it makes sense to have it (medicine you'd normally carry). No guns. No phones. No computers. Nuthin'.
Your characters are all gone. None of them - including the cultists - are around. There are normal city people.
Keep in mind that this exercise might shed light on personal things. Be respectful towards one another.
All the normal things - creepy floors, secret teen club hangouts, amped up security systems on apartments, moving vehicles etc - are still there. This can be a bad thing. NVE's stuff can easily kill you, TF guns can easily kill you, any magical devices placed by characters before now can kill you. You're mortal. You can't fly or change into things and you're not a genius. You can't drive if you don't know how to yet. Virgin in real life? Virgin in the game. Old and have aches and pains? Yeah, you have those in the game, too.
We aren't here to cyber. It's not a dating game/pick up bar. Take it to Skype. Keep it PG13 in the IC.
Players who don't want to participate this weekend can sit out. All normal play is suspended.
If you see someone posting IC as their character, kindly send a TG to them with the link to this box.
Oh, and yes, all the normal posting rules apply! Content, grammar, no asterisk play. We're not a chat location RP.

I may tweak these rules if things become confusing IC.

The purpose of Personification Player is to 1) help the newest members feel more at easy in the PL dysFUNctional family and the game setting, and 2) as a fun way of just being ourselves for a weekend. It's not a contest to see who is the most surly. Be mindful of people's feelings on certain topics.

There is an actual adventure planned for it so you won't have to worry about it being nothing but dialog. Let's start by getting everyone to meet up in one location.

Yes, you're completely aware that you're a player trapped in the PL RP. No, you don't have any IC powers or stuff from home. Yes, you can be silly but, unlike your characters, falling down means skinned knees. No, I don't plan on anyone dying. Yes, you can keep some things about yourself private. Above all else: respect. Remember, we're a group of people with different RL beliefs. Let's try to keep hotbed topics out. Swith's sig says it best: "My right to free speech does not preclude your right to have an opinion". The addition to is "Your opinion on some topics should be expressed in General and not in the PL IC.

You can scrounge your character's room to find better-suiting clothing. Don't waste too much time monologing "freaking out"; we need to group up to get the story rolling. Please take a few minutes to describe yourself. Do you speak with a twang or accent? Are you very tall/short, thin/overweight, male/female, timid/obnoxious? Your first post should describe how you want to be seen.

It's evening. There's a full moon. Trice has just run the bell in the lobby and shouted to see if anyone else is around.

I've asked that people not try to find electronic devices such as phones and media players. We're roughing it.
