Tributes Update - Death, Mutilation and Blood
"So, with final four tributes surviving lets take a look at how the tributes who have been killed, either through their own foolishness, overconfidence or just plain bad luck"

District 1: Dylan Lind
Death was hardly spectacular, quite a shame for such a promising tribute. He died quietly in his sleep from the weapon that had been his enemy on the first day of the arena; fire. After running for several days from what we now call the blood rain, he arrived at a place that he thought was safe and logically it might have been true as well since it was near the forcefield and away from main tribute group down by the stream. Unfortunately for Dylan, gamemakers had other plans as we know. The fire started when he was asleep and spread like, well a wildfire that burned the tree Dylan was sleeping in along with Dylan himself. Hovercraft never recovered his body.

District 1: Lisa Amadeus
She was killed by Jonathan Roberts, after perusing him and engaging in a battle where they killed each other causing simultaneous and peaceful death.

District 2: Jonathan Roberts
He was killed by Lisa, although he did kill Lisa as well however to round it as Sunita sent Lisa after him after he escaped from their capture. Running from the fire, Lisa and keeping the wound was perhaps too much to ask for however in a brave fight with Lisa he managed to thrust the knife in her chest and in her abdomen but not before she thrust a knife on his neck. Two enemies died almost simultaneously next to each other.

District 2: Karli Smith
Karli's death was a gruesome sight to see, dying from dehydration. No one likes to see that and to be honest I really dont want to go over how people die from dehydration, you can do your own research if you want. Just dont do it after having a full meal.

Distrct 3: Diodess
Diodess was killed after collapse of an unstable alliance between herself and Tokiya. Tokiya turned on her while the great battle was going on quite a distance from them so perhaps this wasn't well covered however her death was from small knife that was left from Finn's death. After quite a fight, Tokiya stuck the knife on her heart causing her to die from internal injury.

District 4: Sierra Mann
She was a victim of her cleverness. She triggered one of the mines while attempting to extract it, causing a explosion which reduced her body to pieces that the hovercraft was not able to retrieve although it was a spectacular sight, lets replay it in case you missed it. Dont blink though because you will miss it. Here she comes into cornucopia, looking at the podiums before she uses the knife to mine for the mine and surprisingly she doesn't blow it up by cutting the wires. But now she looks at the mine and just then it explodes. In slow motion we can see that mine actually first decapitates her then the shockwave deals with rest of the body. According to one of the engineers she triggered the pressure fail safe. Although she did not win the victor's crown, she did win our posthumous crown for most spectacular death in the arena.

District 4: Michael Mayne
The man who cost thousands of punters millions. He was the one who died after stepping off the podium three seconds early. Our top tip: False starts are deadly. Quite literally.

District 5: Tokiya Kitsutaka
He died in field of battle against District 12 tribute, Andrew Walters. Quite ironic in fact that the female tributes from these two districts seem to have made a death pact to metaphorically flip a coin in case two of them are left surviving at the end. His death was arguably his own doing as he turned on Diodess. As he was cauterizing his wound, he let out screams loud enough to bring all hell to him and hell did come in form of Andrew. His death was assured from the moment when Andrew stabbed him in the throat with his knife.

District 6: Tomas Lalonta
He was another death at Cornucopia, killed by District 5 tribute, Tokiya Kitsutaka using a razor that cut him in his wrist causing massive blood loss and death within hours.

District 6: Kyri Junipta
She was the second casualty of the arena, something that surprised many. In fact I am told that total of a million and half Panemmark were lost by punters who gambled that she would be the first death in the arena. Sorry for those who lost all that but we will have to go over what happened. She was stabbed in abdomen and died due to internal injuries by District 5 tribute, Maddy Wolff. As her final act of defiance we can see her spitting at Maddy using final blood. Must respect that.

District 7: Timothy Ross
He was killed during the blood rain by Bryden who stabbed Timothy twice causing massive blood loss and death after twenty minutes. Although to be fair his situation before then wasn't so good either, he was not dealing well with the arena and hadn't eaten anything in two days.

District 7: Rachel Corvallis
She was killed by district 9 tribute, John Tralic; the man who has popularly been named "The Psychopath" and her death only seems to reinforce that title. Her body was so scattered that we were only able to retrieve parts of it, ugly sight.

District 8: Jo Calin
He was another death in cornucopia, another death that reinforces the title of "The Psychopath" killed by a spear being thrust into his back.

District 8: Juno Isiti
She died due to starvation. After tripping Sunita's apparently non lethal trap, which released a net which lifted her and tied her to a branch. She hung there drinking from her bottle and fending off the birds who wanted to eat the flesh before eventually scumming to hunger and birds. Personally, I think that was mindless torture trap but engineers assure me that the trap was in fact designed to be non lethal.

District 9: John Tralic
Nicknamed the "The Psychopath", he is the latest death in the arena and another person who cost sponsors what is being estimated to be around twenty million panemmarks. That is a lot. He was widely held to be the winner, gaining the highest ranking in the training score and having the most deaths in the area in his tally by far. He was a victim of his own success when he killed district 12 tribute, Andrew Walters. After capturing Andrew's rucksack he ate the food, including the nightlock berry causing death before it reached his stomach.

District 9: Shania Rela
She was another death in the first day and another death that can be added to the tally of "The Psychopath". As she ran away from cornucopia, she was hit in the back with John's arrow which lead to her death from bleeding.

District 10: Finn Williams
His was a violent death during the blood rain by Sunita. I still am not sure what happened but lets just take a quick look at his death once again. He is attacked by Sunita here and bled out within mater of two minutes, that is a bad death. We have gotten his body back and are still counting the total number of puncture wounds.

District 10: Jessica Noelle
Her was a death that can be attributed to Buzz's alliance. She got caught in their initial camp where they set up traps, however unlike the case with Juno she died more... mercifully through swift impalement.

District 11: Lola Blossom
He was killed interestingly by the combined action of John, Sunita, Maddy and gamemakers. Although she was doomed from the moment when she found the same shelter to bloodrain as John so we are putting this death on his tally. She was stabbed by Jon, tripped a trap laid by Sunita and Maddy and died of blood loss trauma, and shock.

District 12: Andrew Walters
The man that killed John Tralic, "the psychopath"... be it from the grave. His life in the arena was rather normal however he encountered John while running away from the fires where two arrows penetrated his chest and neck causing almost instant death.

"It has been a great first Hunger game everyone with some deaths that never stop giving however most interesting part is still to come. Two alliances, both which survived the test of time and arena remain in the arena. Four tributes. Two alliances. One victor. Who shall be that victor? Stay tuned to find out!"
Caesar Flickerman fades as darkness takes over the screen ending the special program.

So wait, its Bryden and me vs Sunita and maddy right?
Political and religious views don't define whether you are a good or bad person, unless you want to actively hurt everyone who doesn't believe what you say.

Last Day of the First Hunger Games
The battle between the surviving four tributes was fierce and brutal, but in the end, Maddy managed to seriously wound Bryden, using the knife throwing trick her father taught her when she was little. The black haired girl walked up to him, two knives in hand, about to deal the death blow, but suddenly, Maddy found herself hesitating. Memories of Kyri, lying in a pool of blood, filled her mind, and guilt overwhelmed her for a second. Maddy dropped one of the knives, about to shout in defiance against the Capital, unable to take the cruel game anymore.

Suddenly, she saw something reflected on the knife's surface. A wounded and dying Sunita lying in the grass a few yards away. Any thought of repentance was lost on Maddy in that moment. "You bastard!" she screeched in hatred, sending the other knife deep into Bryden's gut.

The tribute turned around and ran towards Sunita, leaning down and cradling the dying girl in her arms. "Please don't die, don't die," Maddy begged in desperation, forgetting about the rules of the Hunger Games. About how there could only be one survivor. The clamoring black haired girl kissed Sunita on the forehead, before the girl died.

Maddy sobbed, her hands shaking out of control. Suddenly, she heard a noise and looked up. Above her floated a hovercraft.

End of the First Hunger Games
Maddy stood next to the president of Panem, who proclaimed her the champion of the First Hunger Games. When she first came to the Capital, Maddy had no idea how she would have reacted when she won. She expected to feel relief because a terrible ordeal would be over. Now she felt cold and empty inside. A part of her wished that she had let Bryden kill her.

There was celebrating, and Maddy had to feign some joy, mostly a dull smile. To try and make it look realistic, she reminded herself how she would get to see Priscilla, and Hans, and their mother again. Now that she had won, every comfort in the world would be provided for them. No longer would she have to labor away or sell whatever she had to try and make ends meet.

Then why did she feel so empty inside?

On the last day of her time in the Capital, she talked with Mr. Caesar Flickerman once again, as she had done before she went into the arena. He was the only one of the residents of the Capital that Maddy didn't secretly want to disembowl on the President's doorstep, mainly because he was not a daft old bat or smug snake. "During the Games, you and Mrs. Sunita, rest her soul, formed quite a bond." there were a few clips of Maddy and Sunita during the Games.

Maddy nodded, trying to keep her answers to a simple yes or no. There were a few more questions, some about her family, which she answered more clearly, explaining things about her younger sister and brother. A nerve got to her, and she talked about her older brother, and what happened to her father, betrayed by the Capital, although she didn't use those words.

"Well, Maddy," Caesar extended his hand to her. "It's been nice talking to you." Maddy nodded in response, genuinely feeling some relief that her reporter was so polite. She grabbed his hand and shook it firmly. "And may the odds be ever in your favor." he winked and the crowd broke out into a field of laughter.

Back Home
Maddy lay in the lounge chair, enjoying the evening sun. In a chair adjacent to her sat her mother, knitting what Maddy guessed was a pair of socks, but resembled a wool octopus more.

Six months had transversed since her time in the Hunger Games. Since then, Maddy had learned to re-adapt to living without worrying about her throat being slit whenever she turned her back. Priscilla and Hans were running around playing, laughing in joy. With the new, rich food, they had gotten some meat on their bones, they no longer resembled the scrappy street urchins who were suffering from malnutrition. Maddy and her mother joked about how Hans was growing a bit of a belly, much to his embarassment.

Suddenly, Priscilla raced up to Maddy and sat down next to her expectantly. The black haired girl had been playing with her hair, thinking. Now she smiled, took a hairbrush, and started brushing her little sister's thick blonde hair. Their mother smiled at the two of them.

Ever since the victory, her mood had improved. Maddy figured she couldn't blame her mother for that. Their poverty days seemed like a thing of the past, but it's bitterness could still be remembered. Their family was rich once again though, and that was all that mattered.

Their mother gestured for Hans to come over, and the increasingly husky boy obeyed, walking away from the set of stones with names engraved on them. The names of the tributes from the First Hunger Games were engraved on each stone, separately in their honor. Every now and then, Maddy found herself standing around the "tombstones," wondering, remembering those days, and pondering her fate.

"I love you, Maddy." her sister spoke up, breaking Maddy from her trance.

"I love you too," Maddy said as she brushed her little sister's hair. For a second, she could hear Sunita's voice in the words coming from Priscilla's lips.

"You know your big sister would do anything to protect you."
