As awesome as that sounds, I specifically do not want mile-long battleships, and I want a uniform size to simplify things.

Yes, interstellar. I haven't quite pinned down what size everything is, but it won't be much bigger than RL counterparts, and the average ship certainly won't be measured in kilometers.

RL counterparts? I don't know, what we have now is way too small and cramped for anything longer than from the surface to orbit.

It would be more than sweet to have a warship that looked like MIR had crazy drunken sex with a missile array, though.
