Sicoutimont's results as posted here.

BCCC Qualifiers:
1-Ile Perrot Epee (BCCC Champions)
2-Riviere St-Denis Red Sox (League Champion)
3-Riviere St-Denis Rangers (Runner-Up)
4-St-Simeon Mets (Semifinalist)

-Ile Perrot would have been placed 3rd, and the Rangers and Red Sox moved up spots, but as they were the defending BCCC Champions, they were placed as the top qualifier. If this should be changed, switch the Epee to 3rd and move 2nd to 1st and 3rd to 2nd. Thanks.

The Sixteenth Baseball Club Champions Cup

Procedure
- 40 teams from 10 leagues
- The tournament will consist of the following rounds:

Qualification: All leagues' last team plays, along with the lowest ranked six leagues' third seeded team.
First round: All remaining 32 teams play
Second round: All remaining 16 teams play
Third round: All remaining 8 teams play
Fourth round: All remaining 4 teams play
Fifth round: Final: Both remaining 2 teams play

All matches, except the final, will be 'best of three': the first team to win two matches, advances.
The final will be 'best of five': the first team to win three matches, wins.

Final Venue Selection
The Selection Committee for the final site is made up of 13 members from the AIBC Boards of Trustees. The bid with the lowest number of votes per round will be removed and the next round of voting will take place. The winner of the final venue host is the stadium who wins the final round of voting, OR accumulates 50% + 1 of any individual round's vote before the final round.

The Committee received one bid, which means the final will be played at Kolo Lahi Stadium, Kolo Lahi, Maklohi Vai! Congratulations, once again!

Sponsor Selection
The Selection Committee for BCCC sponsors is made up of 9 members from the AIBC Boards of Trustees. The procedure is exactly as the Final Venue Selection.

The Committee received one bid, which means the sponsor for the next four BCCCs is SAPM, from Maklohi Vai! Congratulations!

From Kolo Lahi Stadium, we present to you...

Round 5
Lowanaki Anchormen (MKV) 4–5 Nuel Panthers (ZWG)
Nuel Panthers (ZWG) 5–6 Lowanaki Anchormen (MKV)
Lowanaki Anchormen (MKV) 8–0 Nuel Panthers (ZWG)
Nuel Panthers (ZWG) 7-1 Lowanaki Anchormen (MKV)
Lowanaki Anchormen (MKV) 3-0 Nuel Panthers (ZWG)

Congratulations to the Lowanaki Anchormen on the 16th BCCC win! After their loss last year, on the same stage in the same stadium, they revenged themselves against the Nuel Panthers. The latter appeared as the first Zwangzug team in the BCCC final ever, while the Lowanaki Anchormen are the third overall Vaian appearance. The 3-2 victory was close, but captivated the fans, as a symbol of this season's weird BCCC. Both the Fillydelphia Fillies and Ile Perrot Epee were eliminated early on, and there were some clashes between historically strong teams early in the tournament. It seems like the BCCC is slowly being dominated by Maklohi Vai, with a Vaian champion, sponsor and final stadium. We hope you have enjoyed the 16th edition of the BCCC, and now over to the WBC!

BCCC 17 entry details:
Every league is allowed to send four teams, multiassociational leagues (though as of yet there are none) are allowed to send up to six teams, of which a maximum of four teams may be from the same league.
The deadline for the 17th BCCC will be -

Host bids will follow the same criteria as last season: entry must at least have a stadium name, capacity, and city. The Finals venue will be determined via a knockout vote style. Last place stadium in the round is dropped out, and at any time a stadium gets more than half of the votes, all voting ends and that stadium is determined to be the host. If no host bids are received, the Finals will take place at the National Stadium in Sraltlur, Ko-oren. This also opens the host bid for the final of the 17th BCCC: you may submit your host bid along with your entry details, the deadline of which will also be -

Kolo Lahi Stadium has hosted, among other events, the finals of World Baseball Classic 27, the 15th and 16th BCCC, and the Maklohi Vai Baseball Tournament.

In Kolo Lahi, there are a few primary interests for tourists. The first of these is the water sports, which are conducted on a series of beaches to the southeast of the city. Nearly anything that strikes your fancy can be had there: scuba, snorkel, water ski, surfing, you name it, there's some outfitter that has it. Since this chain of beaches is at the end of a bay, the conditions are nearly always perfect for whatever you want to do. The second main interest is the food. Kolo Lahi is home to the best Polynesian cuisine in AO, with dozens of restaurants serving everything from the most casual breadfruit with guava to the most upscale and trendy Vaian fusion dishes. This style of cuisine is the next step in Maklohi Vai's culinary tradition, and at the forefront is Polo's Kitchen. Serving Vaian fusion cuisine since 1994, Polo's Kitchen is the mastermind of chef Polo Shukawa-Mutarakanai. His half Vaian, quarter Japanese, quarter Portuguese background gives him a wide variety of cuisines and cultures to draw from. Polo's is already a hit in Maklohi Vai, winning fusion restaurant of the year 5 years running. It currently has its hub location in Kolo Lahi and an expansion branch in Andossa Se Mitrin Vega. The third main interest is the museums and cultural sites. When the Maklohi Vai's population isn't watching sports, they maintain a deep interest in their cultural background. To facilitate this, there are a number of museums, largely in Kolo Lahi, that deal not only with Maklohi Vai's history (http://www.nationstates.net/nation=maklohi_vai/detail=factbook/id=30404), but also that of other Pacific Island nations. Together, the museums have won several international awards, largely due to the depth of their information and their accessibility to the common man. If you prefer a more outdoor cultural experience, a good place to look is Point Mua (25 minutes west of center city), the first point spotted by the ancestral seafarers who founded the nation. It is largely accessible to visitors, except for the tip, which remains a place sacred to many Vaians.
"For the glory of our people, we govern our nation freely. For the glory of Polynesia, we help and strengthen our friends. For the glory of the earth, we do not destroy what it has bestowed upon us."

After their showdown in the "Zombie Series" a few months ago, the Nuel Panthers almost got to take on the FTC Mustangs once more time--potentially, in the Baseball Club Champions Cup. (Apostrophes are added at one's leisure, much to the disgruntlement of certain party officials.) It was not to be, of course, as the Lowanaki Anchormen took down the Mustangs in the semifinals--the Panthers, however, did their part, only to be defeated in five games by those same Anchormen. (Given the Vaian geography, this reporter is assuming that they're involved in keeping boats in one place rather than television journalism. But who knows?)

Perhaps the BCCC will exert no deeper a grip on our cultural consciousness than the "zombies" themselves. Faddish, sure, worth getting other countries worked up about...ah, but not us, really. Our baseball skill--and statewide health--is matter-of-fact, taken for granted. If we can't prove it by other countries' standards, then so what of their standards? It's too outlandish to care about. Only, now, there's that sense that if we're going to be good--somehow or other we're first in the association rankings--then we might as well care. Or, without the Zebras to prove our merit, it's somebody's job.

Neither the Panthers nor the Mustangs will return to the BCCC right away, however; with only one team from each division qualifying, there's no way to get past a hot team like the Frischberg Flash, who blew past the Mustangs to win the Central. The Panthers, trying to retain their league title, had a closer fight in the Southeast--but they couldn't even break .500, losing out to the Kerlagrad Dragons (who the Flash would defeat in the first round, in a series that went the distance). The Noh Weir Red-Tails, also divisional champs last season, fell all the way to the bottom of the Northeast, thirteen games back of the Arlington Aurora.

Who also lost in five in the first round, to the only returning divisional champion. Strange as it sounds, the Worms were desperate to show that they're more than a fancy stadium out there. Say what you will of Kimberly Tamievar's coaching skills (and the Zebras fans are already saying a lot, little worth repeating), but they fought their way to a divisional title, then beat the Aurora to advance to the final series for the second time. With a mix of veteran pitching and youthful talent, they rattled off four victories to just one from Frischberg, winning the first title in the city's history. Who knows, maybe what the Worm Hole needed to make it even flashier is a wonderfully low-tech banner?

OOC: After introducing a ranking formula for my domestic soccer league system, I've decided to do the same for the ABF. The new ranking system that I am using is based on a team's wins divided by their number of games played. This is then multiplied by multipliers (10 for most recent season, 5 for second most recent, 2.5 for third most recent). Qualifiers for the BCCC will have their win total multiplied by 1.5 for the purposes of the rankings. As with my soccer leagues, an "RP bonus" out of 5 was applied to each team, randomly generated with random.org's random integer generator. The pre-season projections are based upon the totals after the bonus has been applied. I will consider an expansion to 10 teams for next season.

Acedonian Baseball Federation - Season 4

Pre-Season Projections

1.Bees
2.Falcons
3.Knights
4.Green Sox
5.Raptors
6.Storks
7.Bulls
8.Tigers

Acedonian Baseball Federation - Mid-Season Standings
Pld W L RF RA RD Win %
1 Bees 77 49 28 381 296 +85 0.636
2 Raptors 77 43 34 336 341 −5 0.558
3 Knights 77 40 37 353 325 +28 0.519
4 Falcons 77 40 37 342 330 +12 0.519
5 Bulls 77 36 41 310 324 −14 0.468
6 Storks 77 35 42 330 334 −4 0.455
7 Tigers 77 33 44 301 374 −73 0.429
8 Green Sox 77 32 45 337 366 −29 0.416

The first half of the 4th ABF season saw the Raptors perform surprisingly well while the Green Sox unexpectedly struggled. The Bees, whose owner had recovered from his previous financial difficulties, were able to pull away from the pack in the first half of the season. However, just a year ago at this time, the Falcons were 7 games back and in 4th place. They eventually came back to win the pennant, so that was on the mind of everybody associated with the Bees club and all of their fans. It was too early to celebrate just yet.

Acedonian Baseball Federation - Final Standings
Pld W L RF RA RD Win %
1 Bees 154 91 63 736 593 +143 0.591
2 Raptors 154 84 70 683 700 −17 0.545
3 Falcons 154 82 72 730 652 +78 0.532
4 Knights 154 81 73 671 631 +40 0.526
5 Bulls 154 74 80 658 691 −33 0.481
6 Storks 154 73 81 636 661 −25 0.474
7 Green Sox 154 71 83 654 692 −38 0.461
8 Tigers 154 60 94 597 745 −148 0.390

However, at the end of the season, little had changed from the midseason point. The Falcons had suffered through an injury-marred campaign and limped home third. The Knights, after disappointing last year, were expected to maintain their mediocrity and did so. The Green Sox may have pulled themselves out of the cellar and the Tigers may have sunk in the second half of the season, but the Bees were the champions. Their win total wasn't particularly impressive, tying the Falcons win total from the first season, but they had won convincingly by 7 games. The Bees and Falcons now had 2 pennants apiece. The Raptors, who somehow finished second with a negative run differential, will be thrilled to make their BCCC debut.

Acedonia (ACD) qualifiers for the BCCC

Cutoff in three days (but with just five leagues in, I'm tempted to wait a bit longer). Still, consider cutoff to be in three days and 10 hours.

Note to self:

Season 14

BCCC teams:
Zilveren Admiraals (continuation of Silver Admirals)
Charging Hounds
Mounted Knights
Jeweled Challengers

The First Ever Jujooan Ball-Hitting Championships

. Ball-Hitting Championship of Jujoo Pld W L RF RA RD Pts
1 The Original Jujooans 25 17 8 113 70 +43 17 Kwal BCCC
2 The Jujooan Originals 25 15 10 114 90 +24 15 Kwal BCCC
3 The Jujoo Nationals 25 13 12 95 105 −10 13 Kwal BCCC
4 The Birdshit Island Big Bad Bunnies 25 11 14 87 108 −21 11 Kwal BCCC
5 The Jujooan Internationals 25 10 15 98 108 −10 10
6 The Jujoo Jujooians 25 9 16 90 116 −26 9

Having a remarkable resemblance to baseball, the native Jujooan sport recently adapted its rules to fall in line with international standards thus allowing them to compete internationally at baseball.

The able players quickly formed their own teams and applied to participate in this venture. There were however, a few controversies surrounding the team names. Being a nationalistic bunch, each team sought to claim a fitting national name and then the squabbling started. The first to sign up were The Jujooans, who following the sign-up of the second team; The Jujooan Originals adopted 'original' in their title also and became the Original Jujooans. Then came the Nationals, swiftly followed by the Internationals. With the name 'Jujooans' already taken, the Jujoo Jujooians merely added a superfluous 'i' to create a 'unique' moniker and became the fifth team to enter the league. After this point, many other teams steered clear of this ruckus or simply didn't enter because 'All the good names are taken'. The one exception were The Birdshit Island Big Bad Bunnies who adopted to take the little uninhabited island off the south coast of Jujoo for their home. When registering their team, they chose to go down the alliteration route but sadly 'Bunny' was the only animal they could think of beginning with 'B' at the time.

Naturally, it was a very tense first season. Each team eagerly trying to assert why they deserved their nationalistic team-name. In addition, the Big Bad Bunnies received much outside fan support from Paradystopia where no-one could quite believe it was the name of a legitimate sport's team.

OOC: Scorinated, somewhat. I used Out of the Park Baseball 14, due to it's massive stats keeping ability, it might take a bit out of RPing, but it's good to have a lot of the RPing workload cut out, and I still get amazing stats, without too much effort! One problem though, I can't figure out how to make a custom country, so I'm stuck using the USA. TG me if this does not suffice as scorinating. If you'd prefer a text based format for the league results, I'm not sure I can give one due to the way OOTP is setup. Still, I'll probably be keeping it to my newswire after this season.

TLDR: I used OOTP 14, if it's not allowed, TG me.

Ponyburgh Swashbucklers 1, Fort Martin Minutemen 2 [Fort Martin Minutemen leads series 3-1]
Fort Martin Minutemen 5, Ponyburgh Swashbucklers 1 [Fort Martin Minutemen leads series 4-1]

Both 100-win teams immediately exit in the first round, including one getting swept by the team with worst record in the playoffs! Hwat a twist. And the Islanders didn't go down easy in the second round, either--despite barely finishing above .500, they took the lead on the MInutemen and the series went the full 5. Meanwhile, in the South, the Swashbucklers managed three narrow wins over the Foundries (sandwiching a massive blowout-shutout loss) as revenge for their second-place finish in the Southeast. The Fall Classic itself saw the Swashbucklers having the chance to defend their surprise championship last year, but in a series of tight games the Minutemen dominated to take the trophy home with two games in hand.

BCCC Entrants:
1. Fort Martin Minutemen (Fall Classic winners)
2. Ponyburgh Swashbucklers (Fall Classic runners-up)
3. Bashtun Bloody Sox (Regular Season best record)
4. Vender Mountaineers (Regular Season second-best record)
