The Butterfly Sword, a) they're almost always found in pairs, so what happened to the other one? b) They're almost exclusively Chinese, where did he get it from?
Oh and c) Martial Arts and Sword fighting isn't an unusual combination to learn, some martial arts are based around using a sword (these tend to be Chinese or Japanese styles though and from what I know are rare outside said countries). Although not being totally sure of things in America, is it that common to have a Sword Fighting club as opposes to a Fencing Club? Even then it'd be more likely you'd learn how to train with something like a Arming Sword* than a Butterfly Sword.
Finally (just realized) I assume the car has some sort of sunroof or something like that so that the passenger can actually get to the machine gun on the roof.
