And considering the Federation is what the people want, maybe you should keep it that way. You should run it like a Democratic Socialist State, not Authoritarian.

A civil war is very possible. And really, only about 60% of the people wanted the Federation, others joined the revolution in fears of being killed if they did not join. 40% of people are against the Federation secretly, they are keeping up a good act showing they are with the Federation. In my next post resistance factions will begin being formed in secrecy, though they will not start anything yet so the government will not know about them.

Australia will not tolerate violence against innocent people. Should The Federation violate the principles that both our nations agreed upon we will support rebel groups in their attempt to restore peace, prosperity, and justice. Should the rebels commit violence against The Federation in the name of restoring the orderly ways of the Kingdom, Australia will also retaliate in kind. We prefer a leftist regime, but failing that we prefer a just and noble faction as opposed to some violent thugs taking power. You seem to imply that The Federation is the latter, but we'll see if that is really the case.

If the US attacked Cuba in this RP world, China and the Soviet Union may have already invaded. I think we've handled the situation quite well actually thus far.

I never attacked America, my ships were on the southern side of Cuba, nowhere near America. I say we first look for diplomatic options, but if Havana is taken, then I will attack America.

Absolutely. Any American invasion of Soviet allies...is an act of war. If that dude wants to blame anyone for unrealism, I believe it should be the US for the hasty military action.

He seems to just want war, not diplomacy. I mean all I sent were a few ships, and some soldiers to train Cuban soldiers in Anti-Terrorism, and Anti-Immigration tactics thats all. The US never even invaded during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Please do. The political repercussions for any invasion, especially in a world where the balance of power is much more pronounced with the Soviet Union and China being major instead of minor (or near-major) players, is too great to ignore. Unless your Representative to the UN is John Bolton and Obama's running mate is Sarah Palin or something, with Eisenhower's feared Military Industrial Complex running the country, plenty of people in America are certainly going to be up in arms about this sudden attack.

Even if this is an alternate universe, don't make us start another global conflict.

I wasn't intending on this to be a massive engagement thread, and I am kinda displeased with the American response to my ships being in Cuba. I will have to respond by calling off the peace talks, and continue the sanctions. Guess more American teenagers won't be getting their new Iphones.

Chinas sanctions must have had a big effect on the American economy, considering most manufacturing is done in China.
I propose the USSR enact economic sanctions against the US, just as China, as well.

Well, a nice attack on the Kingdom of Sweden HQ.. however, I feel like this will only just add to America's reasoning to why they should back the Kingdom. Seeing as the building was only being rented, it was still owned by an American citizen, and is American soil. So, I feel like I will benefit from this. I'll go ahead and say the Prime Minister dies or something, they'll just replace him.
