Duke League III 20 Clubs

Image
Asia FC

Name in Zarblese: Azia FK
Nation: Igualibridis
Colors: Orange-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: The Great Football Temple (60,000) (Orient, IG)
Titles: 2 International Cup; 27 Igualibridis Cup
Squad: Nikolievitx; Xu, Hamlahamla, Mohinder and Maome; Raxid (c), Vietkong, Faluza and Rasputin; Karazaua and Tamaxiro
Coach: M. Setung
Highlights: Asia's philosophy for the III Duke League is the much contested "Good, but Cheap". The Club let some players go and has hired only the Right Deffender Xu, placing its bets on younger players created on the club very fertile amateur teams. Judging by its convincing win at this year's Igualibridis Cup, Asia may have made the right choice after all.
Expectations: High

Image
Balance

Name in Zarblese: Igualibridi
Nation: Igualibridis
Colors: Red-Blue-Black-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: In Iang Arena (30,000) (Korean Colony, IG)
Titles: 15 Igualibridis Cup
Squad: Ho; Ximin, Barak, Limubai and Kunglao; Xangtsun, Ion'no (C), Sangmi and Jon'il; Ilsun and Li
Coach: T. Kondo
Highlights: Balance will play this Duke League with almost the same team of last season. And its supports may as well expect the same inoquous results.
Expectations: Mid/Low

Image
Battle

Name in Zarblese: Bataliis
Nation: Kampis Batalidis
Colors: Red-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Kazis Treta Stadium (85,000) (Battle, KB)
Titles: 4 International Cup; 36 Kampis Batalidis Cup
Squad: Magno; Treta, Cezar, Uelinton and Kan; Uoxinton, Bonaparte (C) and Disisparta; Desecond, Otehiveu and Ros
Coach: A. Ogrande
Highlights: Battle comes to this Duke League with royal support. Not only the newly crowned King Emmet I has declared his support, but after his coronation, his grandson and Battle right-deffender Migelito Treta is now officially a Zarblese Prince. This wouldn't matter at all, since Treta is just a fine RD, nothing more, if it wasn't for all the media and sponsor attention the club got. With all this, Battle's expectations for the season is no less than the Crown. The football one, that is.
Expectations: Dangerous

Image
Billiard

Name in Zarblese: Biliar
Nation: Biliar
Colors: Red-White-Blue
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Fehduris Sports Casino (105,000) (Vegas, BI)
Titles: 1 Duke League; 6 International Cup; 41 Biliar Cup
Squad: Kasapa (C); Tako, Meza and Snuker; Sinuka, Oito, Rebote, Batevolta and Triangulo; Gis and Nokanto
Coach: M. Manezin
Highlights: Billiard didn't like changing the crown over his badge (a sign of the current DL champion) to a star (representing the title it once won). The club mantained its more precious players and bets on the revolutionary coach Mano Manezin and the talent of young Bola Nokanto, who made about everything but make it rain in Billiard's matches in the Biliar Cup, to bring the Crown back to Vegas.
Expectations: High

Image
Bloodthirsty Killers

Name in Zarblese: Asasini Sangnarii
Nation: Kampis Batalidis
Colors: Blood Red-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Matdordis Stadium (20,000) (Battle, KB)
Titles: 7 Kampis Batalidis Cup
Squad: Dabliubuxe; Tepes, K. Nardoni, Stalin and Doparke; Kruger, Manson (C) and A. Nardoni; Kravinios, Vonhitxtofen and Matador
Coach: J. Oestripador
Highlights: Oestripador's team have accomplished a great deal by being promoted from the II Marquiss League, and its highest expectations for this Duke League is just do nothing and stay right where they are now.
Expectations: Not to get killed (got it?)

Image
Cannibals

Name in Zarblese: Kanibali
Nation: Kanibaldi
Colors: Green-White-Blue
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Leko Arena (90,000) (Tribe, KA)
Titles: 10 International Cup; 32 Kanibaldi Cup
Squad: Serjio; Kabelo (C), Lindio, Fera and Bola; Xuxo, Magran and Umano; Norman, Sohizo and Zangan
Coach: R. Bokan
Highlights: The most popular club in Zarbli is wants a lot from the III Duke League, but isn't doing much to get there. The exchange of Alieno (elected best midfielder of the II DL, who went to champions Polar Zenith) for Umano (Zenith's midfielder from last season, considered to be "just average" by much of the sports press) is being considered a disaster for Cannibals fans. It's still a solid team, though.
Expectations: Hopeful

Image
Classics

Name in Zarblese: Klasiki
Nation: Klasikis
Colors: Green-Blue
Jerseys and Logo
Titles: 1 International Cup; 38 Klasikis Cup
Squad: Straus; Mozart, Xuls, Txaikovisk and Xopan; Uiliams, Ravel, Burana, Vanbetoven (C) and Pavarotxi; Xubert
Coach: I. Maestro
Highlights: Nothing much is waited from the Classics this year. Winners of "Best Club in a Support Role" by the Revistis Esportedis, a high circulation sports magazine.
Expectations: Boring

Image
Coconut Trees

Name in Zarblese: Kokeri
Nation: Kanibaldi
Colors: Red-Black
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Westsea City Stadium (25,000) (Westsea, KA)
Titles: 4 Kanibaldi Cup
Squad: Velozo; Serjio, T. Karlos, Tonian and B. Karlos;
Sesampaio (C), Amarau, Ediuson and Zin; Edimundo and Evair
Coach: V. Luxa
Highlights: The astonishing campaign of Coconut Trees is last year's Marquiss League is still being talked about all over Kanibaldi, but it probably won't do any good for the club when swimming with the sharks.
Expectations: Sell its best players in the end of the season and make a lot of money out of it.

Image
Cross SC

Name in Zarblese: Krusis EK
Nation: Krusdis
Colors: Green-Yellow
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Enkrusliadis Stadium (40,000) (Templar Castle, KR)
Titles: 22 Krusdis Cup
Squad: Glesio; Jozislei, Mixel, Jusikrei and Kreidston; Pafunsio, Paxeko, Mirosmar and Grauberio (C); Negoveio and Omearania
Coach: B. Nevidz
Highlights: All that Cross wants is to bring a little joy to its fans in Templar Castle. Not!
Expectations: Meh

Image
Goyoreh

Name in Zarblese: Goiore
Nation: Goi
Colors: Blue-Red-Yellow
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Arkam-Azailum Arena (35,000) (Goyoreh, GO)
Titles: 1 International Cup; 17 Goi Cup
Squad: Vahido; Lunatiko, Embirolado, Zureta (C) and Tantan; Biruta, Pineu, Maluko and Pirado; Doidjan and Zeloko
Coach: O. Ojoker
Highlights: Goyoreh's nickname "The Crazies" has never been so appropriate. They fired coach Senior Miagi after an heroic win on this year's Goi Cup (good for him, quickly hired by Goyoreh's more powerful rivals Warriors) and put in his place the unknown Obobo Ojoker, who's doing some crazy s#it in the team. Either the guy's lost his mind, or we did. We bet on him.
Expectations: I don't know, how about... Bizarre?

Image
Knights

Name in Zarblese: Kavaleri
Nation: Pauzis
Colors: Red-White-Black
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Tam-Tim Stadium (70,000) (Pauzis City, PA)
Titles: 4 International Cup; 25 Pauzis Cup
Squad: Burbon; Bragansa, Uetin, Uindsor (C) and Tudor; Saxecoburg, Orleans, Habsburg and Romanov; Lohain and Avis
Coach: E. Deeitse
Highlights: After an amazing run in the II DL, the Knights had already accomplished an awesome feat: not dismantling its team. Coach Enri Deeitse said that "as a matter of fact, we have a much stronger team now, with our outstanding players more mature and ready". Is it a return to the good old days?
Expectations: High

Image
Lichen

Name in Zarblese: Likenis
Nation: Luadi
Colors: Red-Yellow-Green
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Simbiozis Arena (27,000) (Lichen, LU)
Titles: 11 Luadi Cup
Squad: Algazul; Umus, Koifa (C) and Miselios; X. Ema, Ifen, Sefalotorax, Seiva, F. Ema and Ifas; Pteridofita
Coach: G. Klorofila
Highlights: Gabriel Klorofila's annoyingly deffensive tactics has managed to keep Lichen in the Duke League for this season, but can it be successful once again? Hard to know, specially when Lichen's most important reinforcements for the III DL come from inexpressive clubs from the Marquiss League. Maybe it'll work, but probably not.
Expectations: Low

Image
Lunar

Name in Zarblese: Luadis
Nation: Luadis
Colors: Purple-Yellow
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: AEZ Complex (52,000) (Highport, LU)
Titles: 23 Luadi Cup
Squad: Kirk; Eza, Mir and Heimini; Naza, Iuri, Pontes (C), Gagari and Apolo; Brasoforte and Odrin
Coach: H. Solo
Highlights: Lunar fans are always expecting something, but nothing ever happens. That's not likely to change.
Expectations: Expectations? High. Actual chance of any they be achieved? Zero.

Image
Mountain Chain

Name in Zarblese: Kordlieris
Nation: Zenitis Polris
Colors: Brown-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Kaver'dis Arena (33,000) (Northwall, ZP)
Titles: 21 Zenitis Polris Cup
Squad: Andes; Imalaia, Roxozas and Alpes; Apeninos, Aiers, Everest (C), Akonkagua and Neblina; Piko and Lekter
Coach: G. Omenlivre
Highlights: Even with the help of altitude, Mountain Chain's limitations are as clear as the snow that covers Northwall peaks. Coach Gustavo Omenlivre plans to do as many points as he can in home matches, and try not to lose much when playing away. A hard task for such team.
Expectations: Mid/low

Polar Zenith

Name in Zarblese: Zenitis Polris
Nation: Zenitis Polris
Colors: Light Blue-White

Venue: The White Dome (94,000) (Zenith, ZP)
Titles: 1 Duke League; 3 International Cup; 19 Zenitis Polris Cup
Squad: Rifitou; Jetjin, Indiat, Texi and Btilke; Sanvi,; Dulgi( C), Pin and Alieno; Bobore and Temitae
Coach: K. Zihoati
Highlights: Crown Holders Polar Zenith comes with its already strong team even better with the coming of Alieno, elected best midfielder of the II DL. With this, coach Kazalberto Zihoati now have not only a solid defence and the best forward duo of the league, but also a midfielder that's considered to be a master tactitian in the field. Seems to be another great season for Zenith.
Expectations: High

Pyramid AC

Name in Zarblese: KA Piramidi
Nation: Piramidi
Colors: Blue-Light Blue
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Marakanan (88,000) (New Cairo, PI)
Titles: 5 International Cup; 18 Piramidi Cup
Squad: Mumia; Eskriba, Papiro, Dezerto and Areia; Kamelo, Farao, Imotep (C) and Amonra; Duna and Ieroglifo
Coach: R. Segundo
Highlights: The most popular club of Southeast Zarbli is yet to show the glory it once had in the times of the International Cup now in the Duke League. Even though coach Ramses Segundo insists that his team will be a good surprise for this season, the way things are going not much can be expected from the sandstorm.
Expectations: Mid/Low

Image
Romans

Name in Zarblese: Romadi
Nation: Kampis Senturiond
Colors: Red-Black
Jerseys and Logo
Venue Colizeu Masimis (77,000) (Colosseum City, KS)

Squad: Populeske; Caligula, Titus, Konstantinus and Termas; Nerus, Livius, Aladin (C) and Loukus; Iulius and Masimus
Coach: O. Augustus
Highlights: Romans have brought the talented striker Masimus from Warriors to complement and already strong forward sector of the team. But one cannot be certain if the defensive area will play as well as their teammates.
Expectations: Mid/High

Image
TFC

Name in Zarblese: TFK
Nation: Krusdis
Colors: Black-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue: Tibursio City Stadium (23,000) (Tibursio, KR)
Titles: 23 Krusdis Cup
Squad: Digan; Vadan, Monte, Kreban and Lierso; Gevara (C), Tiagin, Digin and Alves; Hikardin and Djalmin
Coach: L. Lero
Highlights: Even though TFC has enforced its squad from last year's Marquiss League to play the Duke League this year, the most probable outcome of this season is to TFC to go back from where it came. Most like what happens every other season.
Expectations: Low

Image
Union

Name in Zarblese: Unianis
Nation: Korasanis Uniandis
Colors: Yellow-Dark Green-Dark Blue
Jerseys and Logo
Venue Union Heart Royal Stadium (60,000) (Union Heart, KU)
Titles: 19 Korasanis Uniandis Cup
Squad: Keli; Bromelias, Katatau, Bumerange and Xuleta; Dedoduro, Gomen, Miniokina and Medo; Kalasta and Ninpotxo
Coach: B. Tris
Highlights: Union is expected to keep Union Heart's most ancient tradition: the production of lousy football teams.
Expectations: What d'ya think?

Warriors

Name in Zarblese: Geheri
Nation: Goi
Colors: Blue-White
Jerseys and Logo
Venue Tirazu Stadium (94,000) (Goyoreh, GO)
Titles: 5 International Cup; 22 Goi Cup
Squad: Mandemartelo; Balboa, Miki, Txartxhil and Maklein; Ualase (C), San, Nohis and Overmelio; Bauer and Leonidas
Coach: S. Miagi
Highlights: Warriors is clearly the club that invested the most for the III Duke League. The coming of raising stars Txartxil and Leonidas (from Battle) and San (from Asia FC) to join their experienced and skilled Ualase, Nohis and Bauer, along with the hiring of Senior Miagi, considered by many the gratest coach of the new generation, makes Warriors one of the strongest teams in this season.
Expectations: High

Sorthern Union of Students Football League, 2044a season

Following the recent announcement by the Collegiate Sporting Alliance that the scheduling of the International University Challenge is to be restructured to roughly follow that of UICA competitions, the Sorthern Union of Students following much debate decided to follow suit . As such it was decided to shoehorn an extra 2044 season in time to decide entrants for the next IUCC. What this essentially means that the students playing in 2044 get an extra 19 or so chances to go on binge drinking sprees.

Hooray!

Anyway, on with the football. Bleeding Obvious, having seen their grip on the league end in the first season of 2044 reclaimed the title. It wasn't though done in the same dominating style as their previous championship though. In fact until matchday 18 Bleeding Obvious had been top of the table just once, after matchday 2. For much of the season it had been Universitat del catalans and Ollscoil Baile an Fheirtéaraigh leading the charge. A home defeat on MD18 for Catalans against Saint Patrick's and an away win for Bleeding Obvious over Université francophone de Beningrad saw UBO take top spot and then go on to seal the title with a final day five-nil thrashing of the Catalans.

That defeat proved costly for Catalans with both Beningrad Met and Baile an Fheirtéaraigh overhauling them to take the two remaining IUCC places on goal difference.

Updated UICA coëfficients are now available.

The entry quotas for the next season of UICA competition remain identical to the previous season:
TakilQuip Champions’ Cup 22: The number of teams allowed is determined according to league coefficients, with the following distribution:
  • Associations ranked 1–6 (Candelaria And Marquez, Cafundéu, Capitalizt SLANI, Elves Security Forces, Jasĭyun, and Vephrall) are allowed to enter four teams.
  • Associations ranked 7–16 (Ad’ihan, Aguazul, Septentrionia, Estresse Intenso, Dancougar, Krytenia, Sorthern Northland, West Zirconia, Sargossa, and Taeshan) are allowed to enter three teams.
  • Associations ranked 17 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter two teams.
Globe Cup 19: Every association is allowed to enter three teams.
Cygnus Series B Champions’ Cup 19: Every association is allowed to enter four teams.

With the announcement by the KFA and SFA that they will form a unified league similar to the Élite League, UICA has decided to clarify the rules regarding such leagues:
A multiassociational league may enter a total number of teams in each UICA competition equal to the sum of the places allocated to its top two ranked associations. In the TakilQuip Champions’ Cup, an association that enters more teams that it would normally be allowed may only do so by taking the third or fourth places of another association. An association that has earned places in the group stage must fill them with its own teams. For the current season, this means:

Élite League: A total of eight places are available. Capitalizt SLANI may enter between three and six teams. Jasĭyun may enter between two and five teams. Any other association may enter between zero and five teams.
Liga Calania: A total of five places are available. Krytenia and Starblaydia may each enter between two and three teams.

In the Globe Cup, a total of six places are available to any multiassociational league, and no single association may enter more than four. In the Series B Champions’ Cup, a total of eight places are available to any multiassociational league, and no single association may enter more than six.

The following associations have failed to meet the requirement for evidence of results generated in the previous season, and must meet that requirement next season in order to enter UICA competitions:
  • Ad’ihan
  • Carpathia and Ruthenia
  • Liventia
  • Septentrionia

The Academy Sporting Association, which is too cheap to print its own memoranda, will enter the same teams in the twenty-sixth International University Challenge Championship as it did in the twenty-fifth, viz., Evestigatus Institute of the Arts, Novaria Technical Institute, and Van Prooijen University.

Big West Conference
Continental's second season in the conference results in its second title. Other league members find themselves doing something they'd never expected: wishing they could have Anhenir back. Two tournament bids for the league, with Dettune just barely missing the cut.

Eastern Darnai finds itself unable to repeat last year's freak title, despite being the beneficiary of a down Isthmian this year. The conference almost has to invoke the automatic bid rule, as BTI ends up its only representative. Coastal and FU fans feel that they have legitimate complaints about the rankings, though.

National Championship Tournament

First Round
As is tradition, the #1 seed lost in the first round, though at least they had the courtesy of waiting until the penalty shootout to do so. Three of the top four seeds went ahead and got their tourney participation over with; the exception being, ironically enough, #3 Continental, which finally won a match on its third attempt.

(3) Continental 2-1 (14) Nenbondle
(7) Westlake 2-1 (10) Salle State
(2) Calamen-Petaki 0-2 (15) BTI

Quarterfinals
The 16-seed is through to the semis. Unlike some other tournaments, this one doesn't really produce much excitement or "Cinderella" labeling when things like this happen, primarily because they happen all the time.

(16) Sumbobor State 2-1 (9) NE Riestre
(5) Riestre Tech 2-1 (13) Riestre
(11) Sumbobor 3-0 (3) Continental
(7) Westlake 4-3 (15) BTI

Semifinals
Last year's Semifinal Slip award (which I've just created right now, but never mind that) went to Northeast Riestre, which put up a goose egg in a penalty shootout against South Bektys. This year it goes to Westlake, which got thoroughly annihilated by Sumbobor.

(16) Sumbobor State 1-0 (5) Riestre Tech
(11) Sumbobor 5-1 (7) Westlake

Third Place Playoff
The winner of last year's Semifinal Slip award also lost this game and got left out of the IUCC. Once again, history repeats itself.

(5) Riestre Tech 1-0 (7) Westlake

Final
An 11v16 final. You can never accuse the CSA football tournament of being too predictable, that's for sure. Thankfully the 16 didn't win it.

(16) Sumbobor State 0-1 (11) Sumbobor

Sumbobor, Sumbobor State, and Riestre Tech will participate in IUCC26.

Welcome to the Queer Poco international home of football, Estadio Victoria for the Petr Ollic testimonial. Petr has served as Queer Poco el Mono Ara’s #1 for the best part of a decade and this is our chance to give back to the man, so many fans, pundits and professionals alike, hold in such high regard.

Almondvale will be taking on an International XI, featuring a selection of players from across the multi-verse and some from right here in QPeMA.

Without further a-do, let’s bring out the teams.

Almondvale

Coach - Daryl Ferguson

GKP Petr Ollic
LB Alex Baxter
CB Antonio Oliveira (Sargossa)
CB Karim Zaki
RB Ross Evans
MR Seb Guardiola
ML Ronnie Hendry
AM Klaas Breinburg (Nethertopia)

DM Neil Harrison
CM Leroy Van Kleef
FW Adrian Belmont

The botched together team of “World XI” started strongly. Although most players were unfamiliar with one another they built an instant rapport and the midfield worked some clever passes for the strikers to shoot wide. Ollic made a stunning save from Ordóñez who found space from a corner. Connecting with a glancing header the forty year old keeper managed to get down to his right swiftly and palm the ball round the post. Then on the ¼ hour mark, Malak forward Dmitri Zukava worked a 1-2 with Noah Collins and lashed the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal. World XI dominated proceedings and Almondvale struggled to find a foothold in the game. The closest they came was Samin Akbar’s long range effort which began to dip under the WXI crossbar before Somewhereistonian keeper Klug could tip it over and safely out for a corner.

Half Time WXI 1 – 0 Almondvale
(Zukava 29)

After the half time break, Daryl Ferguson must have said something inspiring to his team as they set out stronger than they had in the first half with Steve McBrin hitting the post and Taeshani forward Ulli White scuffed his chance when the keeper was wrong footed. However Almondvale fell further behind when C&M centreback Chris Stewart headed home from a corner, benefiting from Vale’s shambolic defending from set pieces. The dejected Pocoan side were ruffled later on when Karim Zaki brought down Queer Poco international Ishmael Van Dyke in the box and gave away a penalty. Up stepped former QPeMA captain Ugo Stowell, who was soundly thwarted by Ollic who went the correct way and saved the penalty, proving there was life left in the aging keeper. Towards the end WXI had completely reshuffled and Almondvale were starting to mount a credible comeback. A late lunge from Arthur Crowe went unpunished but the resulting freekick led to Vale’s consolation as Klaas Breinburg whipped in a shot which ricocheted off the crossbar and into the feet of Samin Akbar who tapped in. Full time and Petr Ollic’s testimonial came to a conclusion.

Full Time WXI 2 – 1 Almondvale
(Zukava 29) (Akbar 88)
(Stewart 56)

After the game, Petr Ollic got up to speak at the dinner held in one of the Estadio Victoria’s many “understated” and “clean” function rooms. Clearing his throat he took the microphone from the stand from where he had recently been roasted (in a strictly comedic sense, not a peculiar sexual encounter between himself and a number of other professional players)

“I’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone who turned out today, to all the fans who came to watch and to my family who have supported me throughout my career. I’ve played professional football for over 2 decades now and have been told I should take some time off. Put my feet up. Go fishing. That was the plan, until I was offered a move to Delaclava where I’m going to play on for one more year. There is still some life left in me and I’m not ready to quit just yet.”

A hushed silence fell over function room C. This was supposed to be Ollic’s final game in football. Daryl Ferguson had begged him to play one more year at Almondvale but he turned him down, said he was tired of the game and tired of being tired. So what the hell was this?!

Taking a step away from testimonial matches to bring you the final league tables for the Pocoan Non-League, sponsored by Coorsberg. (Possibly as they were glossed over the last time the league tables were posted)

Zarblese League III
Season Report

A great season again in the Zarblese League III, confirming and enlarging the success of the previous one. We had a huge success in terms of public and media, with football fans going wild in about every town in the country. Now, with no further delay, let's check out how the Leagues went.

Season Champions Runners-Up 3rd 4th
II Polar Zenith (1st title) Knights Cannibals Asia FC
I Billiard (1st title) Cannibals Warriors Knights

A touch from the East and the Crown goes West

An outstanding and sort of surprising season for the Duke League endend up with the Crown going to the Warriors. The victory of Goi's blue and white club came after an almost flawless season in which the Warriors remained in the top 4 for almost every round, and in the top spot for most of the League. Warriors' amazing campaign have some easily identifiable reasons, beginning with an efficient planning and good transfers before the League began and passing through an offensive and surprising play style. The team played by music, and the conductor of this symphony was Senior Miagi, undoubtly the best coach of the DL this season.

The key to Miagi's success? "Discipline, focus and, most of all, joy. My players enjoy what they do, and that's why they do it so well", said Miagi after the Title Match (see below). The club won the Crown one round in advance after an away win against Cannibals, somewhat made easier by Asia FC's draw against the very weaker Coconut Trees the round before.

Title holders Polar Zenith can be considered the greatest disapointment of the Duke League III. After losing striker Temitae, best player of the DLII, due a knee contusion, the team fell apart, and Zenith ended up in a mediocre 9th place.

There were plenty of drama also in the bottom of the fixtures, as Classics, the Zarbli's oldest club (along with Cannibals), after a dreadful season in which everything seemed to go wrong, ended up last. A tragedy that spread sadness all over the city New Athens and would have done so in all the nation of Klasikis if it weren't for Xegei's ascension from the Marquiss League, guaranteeing a representative from the nation in the next DL (see below).

Classics' tragedy is comparable only to the greatest irony of the season, and at this point we return to Warriors' coach, for Mr. Miagi was fired from Goyoreh with no good reason before the begining of the DL and, well, he ended up taking the Crown to Warriors, and Goyoreh, Warriors rivals in the city after which the club is named, ended up relegated. Too bad.

The Title Match

Cannibals' defenders Xuxo (5) and Fera (4) couldn't stop Warriors' striker Kanian (9) from kicking... and scoring in Warriors' away victory.

In a season in which Cannibals didn't do much, one could not find weird that the crowd at Leko Arena was not like it tends to be in Cannibals' matches. The otherwise fanatic green-white-blue crowd was quiet... some would say angry, or even sad. Different from the thousands of Warriors' fans that came all the way from Goi to see their club possibly win the crown.

The match started with the leaders Warriors nervous, and soon Cannibals' strikers Norman and Sohizo scoring 2-0 before 23'. The Cannibals' crowd went wild (they would not win the title, but they could as well win this match and delay Warriors' party), and all the Goian Warriors' supporters chilled.

Then shined the star of Warriors' captain Ualase. After sreaming with half his teammates and running madly through all the field, seeming to be present in every play, the white-blues waked, and midfielder Overmelio scored for the Warriors before halftime.

Warriors came back as a whole different squad after the break, and didn't let Cannibals play for the next 45 minutes. Captain Ualace scored a penalty kick at 56', and the fate of the Crown was decided by a long distance kick from striker Kanian, who substituted Bauer, at 68'.

With this amazing turn of the tide, Warriors won the match in the house of the Cannibals and took Crown to Goi for the first time.

Marquiss League III
Zarbli's Rising Stars

This season's DL, as it's becoming a tradition among the Rising Stars, ended with one huge surprise: Watermen as champions. Against all odds and in a very tight dispute that ended with a difference of only 1 point from the 1st to the 4th place, Watermen had efficiency as its most evidenced quality, having won because of a Goal Difference of 26 against Flame's 14.

Watermen was only in the 3rd place in matchday 37, with Flame and Sligdish respectivally 3 and 1 points ahead. "We were happy enough with qualifying to next season's DL", said Watermen's midfielder Ualter Xamu, "we wanted to play a good last match and celebrate our promotion... we didn't expect THAT to happen!", and by THAT he meant the astonishing turn that occured in the last round.

Watermen did its homework and defeated Super 2-1 in its home stadium. That wouldn't have been enough though if Sligdish would win its away match against 18th place Yema!, which they didn't accomplish, having drawn 1-1. But the greatest surprise in favour of Watermen was the unlikely outcome of Flame vs. Brilliant, in which Flame needed only to draw in its own venue to assure the title. Didn't happen. Brilliant won 2-3 and Flame ended up second.

Season 1930

The latest edition of the Pasarga Super League once again showed the dominance that the city of Stein-los has in football throughout the country, with yet another title heading to that city, this time heading to Tanrısal. The fifth title for the Stein-los club ties them for second most in Pasarga history with Galactica, while inter city rivals Club Stein-los leads the pack with seven of the thirty-one titles being taken by them. The biggest surprise was two Paulinthal clubs nabbing ICC spots, with Santos Luega pipping Stein-los Turkish on goal difference for Pasarga's second spot in the TQCC, while the more known and supported CAP finished fourth to secure their passage to the Globe Cup. Could Paulinthal be replacing the capital as the second city of football in the country? If so, this might be the season where people will point to to show the change starting, or it may merely be a blip in the radar if Torgos clubs once again emerge victorious next season.

Season 20,026/7 Preview

... wait, what? We're doing one of these again? Why ever for precious, why must we torture ourselves with this mind numbing process of telling these peoples about our made up teams? Shut it, this is a poorly veiled attempt to get a better RP bonus for the ICCs and we're bored. Err, right, well okay then if you insist.

Well after a historic season in 20,025 with Raynor City United completing the first ever domestic treble, one would have thought their competitors for the title would have retooled and been busy in the transfer market, this was far from the case. Only Club ESF recorded a major transfer, stealing away Darko Soro from the Rockers, while RCU responded by promoting nineteen year old Starblaydi Aidan Kuu to starting striker. FC Capri was busy buying reinforcements for their small squad off of second tier clubs with their reward money. Meanwhile, there is rumblings at Soldarian that a certain Starblaydi elf may be angling for a transfer if the Soldars don't manage to get to the TQCC group stage this season.

Best three players are bolded, foreigners are italicized, and players are listed from right to left where applicable. Ranking will be based on a 60-100 scale, with 60 being doomed to relegation and 100 being title favorites.

International University Challenge Championship 26

Welcome to the twenty-sixth edition of the IUCC, the premier tournament for university football teams around the multiverse.

Important IUCC rules changes
  • As has been previously mentioned, the IUCC is moving away from its existing RL-based schedule and aligning itself to the same calendar as the UICA competitions. From here forward, each edition of the IUCC will take place approximately one week after the UICA competitions.
  • The IUCC executive committee is instituting a rule similar to that used in the UICA competitions that will require proof of scorination in the form of actual league tables. An association may enter the IUCC without the presence of such tables if and only if that association entered the previous season and had league tables for that season.
    • All associations that specified teams to be entered into IUCC26 are in compliance with this rule. The Academy Sporting Association will be required to submit league tables in order to enter IUCC27.
    • Note that founding nation Ad'ihan did not specify teams to be entered into IUCC26, and as teams were submitted for IUCC25 without tables, league tables will be needed for the association's next entry.
  • The current IUCC rule that the group stage must consist of 16, 20, or 24 teams has been modified to also allow for group stages of 14 or 18 teams. The primary reason for this is that IUCC organizers felt it was a bit silly to need a qualifying round to narrow 18 competitors down to 16. In addition, the group stage will now be a double round robin instead of a single round robin, except in the 14- and 18-team cases, which involve only two groups instead of four. When only two groups are used, no more than two teams from the same association may be placed in the same group.

With that all out of the way, let us continue. A total of 18 institutions from six nations were entered into this year's tournament (see, that rule was changed for a reason!). All 18 teams will start in the group stage, which will consist of two groups of nine playing a single round robin. The top four finishers in each group will proceed to the knockout stages.

Rankings by association prior to IUCC26 (bold = founding member; blue = IUCC26 participant; numbers in parentheses indicate change from previous edition (position, then points)):
  1. Candelaria And Marquez - 144 (+2/+23)
  2. Academy Sporting Association [Paripana] - 130 (+2/+20)
  3. West Zirconia - 125 (-2/-99)
  4. Dancougar - 124 (-2/-30)

  9. The Babbage Islands - 22 (0/-17)

Changes For Next Season
With funding from Viella Incorporated, the island of Vyinta will be establishing its own domestic league. While the numbers of the clubs is currently in debate, it is know that the winner of the domestic league will enter into a two legged playoff with the lowest qualifier for the Globe Cup. If successful in that playoff, they will enter another playoff against the lowest qualifier for the TQCC. This is to ensure a competitive league and prevent clubs from coasting to the end of the season once an ICC position has been secured. Also coming in the next season, the VFA will no longer be sending clubs to the SBCC after numerous complaints from these clubs that entering into this competition negatively effected their performance in trying to survive in the topflight.

Unia Kaszëbsca Piłka Nożnej (UKPN) Season One Results

The newly founded UKPN, the governing body for Kaszubian Football, recently completed its first ever season, just eight months after it's founding was announced in 2009. The UKPN was formed early last year in an effort to standardize and regulate competition between the dozens of various Kaszubian clubs. The UKPN organized these clubs into two leagues, the National League (Liga Naródowa) and the Academic League (Liga Akadëmicka). Origionally, both leagues were intended to hold twelve clubs, but due to the small size of many local clubs the National League began this season with only eight clubs available for play. This problem is expected to be resolved by the start of next season, when, it is hoped, the UKPN will have increased revenue.

Next month, the Kaszubian Football season will come to a close after the prestigious Kaszubian Cup (Puchara Kaszëbsca). The cup has been held annually in the National Stadium (Stadion Naródowy) in downtown Nówy Gduńsk, but this is its first year under UKPN organization. The competition will be a single elimination tournament between all eight National League clubs, as well as the top four Academic League clubs.

8 Krzyżowieci Smołdzinoje 42 7 16 19 70 96 -26 37

Season Highlight:
Matchday 12, Armia 4-2 ZPN Stężyca - This unexpected upset came on the twelfth day of competition when Armia, (3-4-4) broke a two loss streak to rally and climb to within 3 points of the seemingly unstoppable ZPN Stężyca (6-2-3). The first period was controlled by ZPN Stężyca, with two goals scored within two minutes (26:21 and 28:13) by Stężyca's leading striker Waclaw Płudski. Płudski was answered by Armia's Tomasz Nizich as the period drew to a close (41:10). The second period, however, saw Armia rally, scoring twice early in the second (8:51) and (19:24) by striker Nizich and midfielder Kałuża respectively. Stężyca mounted a fierce defense, with Płudski nearly scoring twice. However, Armia striker Górski dashed their hopes as the final minutes drew on, bringing the score to 4-2, and pulling victory from ZPN Stężyca's grasp.

Season Highlight:
Matchday 29, Pólitëcnika Smołdzina 6-4 Akadëmia Marynërki Wojennej - This back and forth battle was expected to be a one sided match-up with Akadëmia Marynërki Wojennej gaining an easy victory. Pólitëcnika Smołdzina had been long criticized for their weak defense, but it was Akadëmia's goalkeeper Paweł Szczęsny, newly returned to play after fracturing his ankle in practice before the season began, who fell short of expectations, allowing six goals in the game. Pólitëcnika Smołdzina striker Jan Nizich (brother of Armia's Tomasz Nizich) scored early (9:15), but was answered by Akadëmia's winger Tadeusz Kubicki minutes later (13:40). Akadëmia climbed into the lead with a goal by striker Mikał Jóźwiak (31:20), but as the period ended Nizich brought the score back to a tie 2-2 (43:38). The second period saw the pair Kubicki-Jóźwiak driving down the field to score twice in the first twenty minutes (13:17 and 19:54). However, Pólitëcnika Smołdzina striker Marcin Mięciel answered with a goal of his own (23:40). The final twenty minutes were dominated by Mięciel and Nizich, exploiting a limping Szczęsny’s injury with quick side to side passes to score another three times to sieze the victory. (31:27, 37:15, and 40:09).

(OOC: Will post Pucharu Kaszëbsca results ASAP.)

CAFUNDELENSE LEAGUE - FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON ENDED

The first half of the season 18 of the Cafundelense league has ended. As everyone in the whole world must know now, this part of the Cafundelense season is the least important, being only useful to get the players fit (with the exception of the Prince Regent’s Cup [former Empress Cup and Emperor's Cup], which has some importance... but its winner won't go to the TQCC, but to the Globe Cup instead). The State-related competitions don't have practical importance. Other competitions are State Championships, and the only reason why the supporters want to win this is because they have to defeat their rivals to get the trophy. And that’s the only reason why they exist too. The State Championships and the State Champions Cup have tradition, while the Prince Regent’s Cup has an interesting reward, which is the GC spot. (yes, I'm lazy and won't update the introduction).

For the first time, the CCFM is presenting in this report the tables of all the State Championships, so check the champions of each of the 8 states:

CAMPEONATO JUTENSE

The most prestigious State Championship of Cafundéu is the Jutense. That's because of the good amount of top teams, among the Primeirona and Segundona, which makes this competition have an interesting number of contenders and clubs that can take points from the best ones. But, after Khalmar-Tijhus lost its former strength, the titles have been divided by Cafundó do Juta, Atlético Jutense and Clube Imperial, with the later losing ground. So, slowly the Jutense is becoming a dispute between two clubs.

Although the Lasftense is a fun competition to watch, it has the problem of having the one which is arguably the best club of the country, current national champion and the one with world class players from all parts of the world. Against Petardos S/A, the other clubs of Lasft don't have much chance, with SC Lasft and América presenting timid resistances. This season, Petardos suffered the impact of the loss of its coach to the National Team, but still could perform well enough to take another trophy, as demanded by the fans.

10 Pico da Neblina 18 2 5 11 43 69 -26 11 R

Promoted: Tio João and Montes Negros

Usually seen as another dispute between two clubs, Ranca Toco and Central United, the Centralzão is becoming the State Championship with the highest number of quality clubs with trophy chances, taking the position of the Jutense. Clube Comercial and Serrano are also in the First Division, and others are doing really good too. The games are very disputed, and surprises have been happening often. In this season, the best example was the poor performances of Ranca Toco and Serrano, which gave space for Central United to win the trophy.

The Pioneer League was already considered a somewhat balanced competition, in the times that São José and Penders were able to win against A.F.F. But, recently, the only team in the Old Cities State which is playing well is A.F.F., followed from some distance by Internacional. A quite one-sided competition.

Of all the eight states of Cafundéu, the Coast one is the one that receives the least attention from the football fans and the media, especially because their biggest clubs are only intermediate ones in the Cafundelense League. Some very unknown teams have the chance to play First Division teams in it, which is a curious thing.

The Espinalense could perfectly face the same situation of the Coast championship, but curiously it receives far more attention from the supporters, due to the immense rivalry between its clubs. Fights are common and the games are battles, which makes this competition one of the more disputed of Cafundéu.

Widely considered the most balanced State Competition of Cafundéu, the Titã State championship has the problem that the clubs aren't good ones... and that's why it is balanced, tons of second grade clubs. In the end, it is good to have a more disputed event, but few people want to watch games between two teams that aren't very good.

10 Miragaia FC 18 4 3 11 45 66 -21 15 R

This is the most one-sided competition of Cafundéu, and it has been through the entire history of domestic football. Yes, one time or another a surprise happens, thanks to Dunboor FC fielding its reserves in most games, but no other team has ever managed to have a better team than Dunboor FC during the entire history of the Dunbooritano. Usually Dunboor FC is able to have a small lead right at the beginning of the competition and keep it until the end, as it was done this season... not a very exciting league.

Champion: PETARDOS S/A!

Reactions: SO WHAT? For a club of the size of Petardos S/A, the State Champions Cup title doesn't mean much. The only good thing of this is that the victory came over rivals Cafundó do Juta, and the Jutenses will have to hear for a long time the jokes about they being always the second placed in national competitions, as usually happens. But, apart from that, this trophy is far from important, or a sign that this season will be a good one for the club. The final was expected, between the two clubs considered the best ones of the competition, and the result of the final could be predicted easily too. In the end, the lack of surprises made this season's State Champions Cup pretty boring. Well, congratulations to the Billionaires, though surely they don't mind it.

THE PRINCE REGENT’S CUP

The Prince Regent’s Cup has the same format of the former Empress Cup (and the Emperor’s Cup), with the name being the only difference, after the brother of the former Empress (and son of the former Emperor), the Prince Miguel Van Tocco, became the new leader of the country as his sister had psychological problems, becoming the Prince Regent Miguel I, who’ll lead the country until the heir of the throne, son of the former Empress, reaches 18 years of age (he is currently 17). A bigger competition than the last ones, it involves 64 teams. Finally, the CCFM have decided to make serious rules about the participation in the cup: the 40 teams from 1st and 2nd divisions, the best 12 from the 3rd division, the top 8 from the 4th division and the top 4 (not necessarily promoted) from the 5th division in the last season participate, with their last season results, of course (so the best of the 5th are probably now in the 4th division). See the results (obs: no away goals rule). And now it is seeded for the first stage as, following the criteria, the 32 best teams play the first game away, being separated in the draw from the other teams. Note that its champion goes to the Globe Cup:

The Round of 64 usually has nothing worthwhile. After all, teams are seeded in this stage, and real big games are nearly impossible to happen. Only when upsets happen that we have something worth commenting, and this season we had a few. Primeirona clubs Santa Cruz do Norte, Cruzeiro do Sul and, more impressive, Central United were eliminated by lower ranked teams, and are already out of the dispute for this cup trophy and a place in the Globe Cup. Cafundó do Juta, Petardos S/A and Dunboor FC had the most convincing wins.

Once again the second round is a phase in which there are some big games involving clubs of the First Division, but this time the games between rivals didn't happen. The draw didn't benefit some teams, which had to face strong opponents of the First Division, as for example Atlético Insular and A.F.F., whose games were the most awaited of the round. São Jorge and São José made an interesting game too, but the most curious happening of the Round of 32 were the upsets. Engenheiro Peres was defeated by a Third Division team, while giants Petardos S/A were knocked out by the modest União Trabalhadora.

Oitavas-de-final
1st Leg

(1st) Cafundó do Juta 2-0 Clube Imperial (1st)

(1st) SC Lasft 1-0 Rio Bonito (2nd)
(2nd) Clube dos Banqueiros 0-2 Eldorado (1st)
(1st) Porto Lacruz 1-3 Dunboor FC (1st)

2nd Leg
(1st) Clube Imperial (1) 1-1 (3) Cafundó do Juta (1st)
(2nd) Bandeirantes (4) 3-2 (4) São Jorge (2nd)
Penalties: 5-3
(1st) Clube Comercial (1) 0-1 (2) América (1st)
(3rd) Atlético Central (5) 3-2 (4) Ranca Toco (1st)
(2nd) União Trabalhadora (3) 2-2 (6) Atlético Jutense (1st)
(2nd) Rio Bonito (0) 0-2 (3) SC Lasft (1st)
(1st) Eldorado (3) 1-0 (1) Clube dos Banqueiros (2nd)
(1st) Dunboor FC (5) 2-1 (2) Porto Lacruz (1st)

More big games in the Oitavas, together with a huge rivalry, in what was surely the main game of the phase. Clube Comercial and América made a battle between promising clubs wanting to reach the top, while Dunboor FC and Porto Lacruz dueled to finally decide which club is the 4th force of current Cafundelense football. The spotlight was, of course, in the city derby between Clube Imperial and Cafundó do Juta, which ended in good games even with the clear superiority of the silver squad. About the upsets, they continued happening in this round... well, we had only one, but a major one, also in a local rivalry between Ranca Toco and Atlético Central, won by the Third Division club. União Trabalhadora, however, failed to repeat the upset of last phase and lost to Atlético Jutense.

Quarterfinals
1st Leg

(1st) Dunboor FC 1-0 Cafundó do Juta (1st)
(1st) Eldorado 4-2 Bandeirantes (2nd)
(1st) SC Lasft 0-0 América (1st)
(1st) Atlético Jutense 5-0 Atlético Central (3rd)

2nd Leg
(1st) Cafundó do Juta (0) 0-1 (2) Dunboor FC (1st)
(2nd) Bandeirantes (4) 2-2 (6) Eldorado (1st)
(1st) América (3) 3-1 (1) SC Lasft (1st)
(3rd) Atlético Central (1) 1-3 (8) Atlético Jutense (1st)

Curiously, the quarterfinals had less big games than previous rounds in numbers, but proportionally there have been many attractive matches. Cafundó do Juta and Dunboor FC made the top game of the round, with the Northern Lions taking the lead and eliminating their opponents from the capital. América and SC Lasft was the big rivalry of the stage, the city derby which ended with the victory of the Devils. Meanwhile, sensation Atlético Central faced another Atlético, the famous Jutense, and had heavy losses.

Semifinals
1st Leg

(1st) Atlético Jutense 2-0 Dunboor FC (1st)
(1st) América 5-3 Eldorado (1st)

2nd Leg
(1st) Dunboor FC (3) 3-1 (3) Atlético Jutense (1st)
Penalties: 6-5
(1st) Eldorado (3) 0-2 (7) América (1st)

Ah, the semifinals. Only two conflicts, and it is difficult for them to not be major ones. Yet, this season we had an América x Eldorado match, which was far from the expected when the competition first started, and received far less exposure than the Dunboor FC x Atlético Jutense one, the one people said the champion would come from. Lots of goals were scored, which is always a good thing, and in the end we had a penalty shootout between two world class clubs, a game worth remembering in the future.

Final
1st Leg

(1st) América 0-1 Dunboor FC (1st)

DUNBOOR FC WINS THE PRINCE REGENT’S CUP!

Reactions: THE PATH TO DOMINANCE? Seasons ago, Dunboor FC was struggling to return to international competitions. In the last two seasons, however, everything changed: a loss in the final in the league, a title in the Prince Regent cup, and finally an international trophy, something its rivals simply couldn't stand seeing that happening, as Cafundéu is through hard times internationally. With this second National Cup, also being the first team to win it consecutively, Dunboor aims the dominance of the league. The team has a good level of quality, but right now is stuck as the fourth major force, much behind Atlético Jutense which is considered the third one. But, if Dunboor keeps winning trophies, the team keeps being reinforced, this improvement may come.

THE BIG KICKOFF

Amidst the exhileration of a new season, the hype, the anticipation, and the big-money TV deals, there was one thing that people on both sides of the Beck (or, indeed, the Bekk) wanted to know. Which is better: Krytenian clubs or Starblaydia clubs?

There's only one way to settle that...FOOTBALL!!!

First things first: the fixture computer is clearly evil. Day One gives us an Emberton derby, a clash of the Starblaydi titans between Corinthian Spirits and Telecontarë, and the little matter of Iskara Daii v Mercia Bromham. And so, the fight for the Águila d'Oro begins. Bring it on.

Matchday One
The newly-renamed Royal Emberton and Corinthian Spirits had the onerous task of taking on the reigning champions of their respective nations, Emberton Reds and Telecontarë. Both emerged with hard-fought draws, a sign of how close this league is expected to be. In the day's other big match, Mercia Bromham scored five at Foundation Road to shock the Daii.

First team to top the table, however, are Paul Clayton's battling Tigers. Ousevale swept aside Avidia City with a four-nil thrashing; Mercia are second, whilst the all-Krytenian top three is rounded out by Notegia, who pulled out a fine (if surprising) win over Montepool. Oh, and don't expect Iskara Daii to stay in the bottom four for long!

Results:
Avidia City 0-4 Ousevale Borough
Beckton Supermarine 0-2 Casuals Osteria
Corinthian Spirits 1-1 Telecontarë
Emberton Reds 2-2 Royal Emberton
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Hallad Reavers
Internashionale 1-0 Caledon Simpson
Iskara Daii 2-5 Mercia Bromham
Jhanna City 1-1 Avidia United
Malta Lines 1-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
Notegia Rangers 3-0 Montepool Waves
Stanton Town 1-3 FC Farça
Tabeck FC 3-1 Foxchester Raiders

Matchday Two
The place to be today was definitely the Southern Arena. Ousevale scored four for the second game in succession; however, their opponents, Corinthian Spirits, also managed to net four times and won a hard-earned point for the second week in a row. That gave the eight teams that had won on Matchday One the chance to overtake; surprisingly, only two teams took that opportunity. In a case of history repeating, Mercia won five-two against a side from the Starblaydi capital; this time it was Jhanna City being put to the sword, and Mercia top the table. Internashionale lie second; after quietly defeating Caledon Simpson last week, they did a number on Cedrus Soundgardia, and are the highest placed side from the purple half of the divide.

Performance of the week was from Iskara Daii; they recovered from their first week hiccough to break the Waves in one of four four-one victories from today's games.

Results:
Tabeck FC 3-3 Emberton Reds
Royal Emberton 0-0 New Cefn Albion
Hallad Reavers 4-1 Notegia Rangers
Foxchester Raiders 4-1 Malta Lines
Montepool Waves 1-4 Iskara Daii
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-3 Internashionale
Mercia Bromham 5-2 Jhanna City
Caledon Simpson 1-0 Avidia City
Avidia United 4-1 Beckton Supermarine
Ousevale Borough 4-4 Corinthian Spirits
Casuals Osteria 0-0 Stanton Town
Telecontarë 2-0 FC Farça

Matchday Three
Hallad, Malta Lines, and Beckton fans, look away now. This was the day the big teams bit back...hard. Emberton Reds put five past the so-called "masters of defence" Malta Lines, Mercia hammered Beckton seven-nil, and as for Iskara Daii...EIGHT-ONE. The Reavers didn't know what hit them.

Elsewhere, Avidia United quietly sneak into third after victory over Stanton, and Corinthian Spirits register their third draw in a row, this time against Simpson.

Results:
Emberton Reds 5-1 Malta Lines
New Cefn Albion 3-1 Notegia Rangers
Tabeck FC 3-1 Royal Emberton
Iskara Daii 8-1 Hallad Reavers
Internashionale 1-3 Foxchester Raiders
Jhanna City 1-1 Montepool Waves
Avidia City 3-0 Cedrus Soundgardia
Beckton Supermarine 0-7 Mercia Bromham
Corinthian Spirits 2-2 Caledon Simpson
Stanton Town 0-2 Avidia United
FC Farça 2-3 Ousevale Borough
Telecontarë 1-1 Casuals Osteria

Matchday Four
Oh, to be a Mercian. Andy Le Lan's side are running roughshod over the Liga Calania at the moment, scoring an average of 5.5 goals a game. Latest victims? Stanton Town, hammered five-one. So much for elven superiority though. Telecontarë lost to Avidia United, a result that puts the Eagles second, and the elves in fourteenth.

The best of the Starblaydi sides is third-placed Tabeck FC, who leapt to third after defeating Malta Lines; Iskara Daii continue their recovery, meanwhile, up to fourth after beating New Cefn Albion.

Results:
Internashionale 0-4 Emberton Reds
Iskara Daii 3-2 New Cefn Albion
Malta Lines 1-2 Tabeck FC
Royal Emberton 4-0 Notegia Rangers
Hallad Reavers 0-2 Jhanna City
Foxchester Raiders 1-2 Avidia City
Montepool Waves 1-1 Beckton Supermarine
Cedrus Soundgardia 2-1 Corinthian Spirits
Mercia Bromham 5-1 Stanton Town
Caledon Simpson 3-1 FC Farça
Avidia United 1-0 Telecontarë
Ousevale Borough 3-3 Casuals Osteria

Matchday Five
MERCIA BROMHAM IN DROPPED POINTS SHOCKER! A two-all draw with Telecontarë is the first game they have neither a) won or b) scored five or more this season. They now lead the table only on their insanely inflated goal difference from Tabeck, who beat Inter to cement their title hopes at this early stage.

Once again, though, it;s the Daii looking dangerous. They smashed seven past Notegia Rangers to go third; the Tyfield side, meanwhile, haven't had so much as a point since going third on the opening day.

Emberton Reds 3-1 Avidia City
New Cefn Albion 0-3 Jhanna City
Tabeck FC 2-1 Internashionale
Notegia Rangers 3-7 Iskara Daii
Malta Lines 2-2 Royal Emberton
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Hallad Reavers
Corinthian Spirits 3-2 Foxchester Raiders
Stanton Town 2-2 Montepool Waves
FC Farça 1-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
Telecontarë 2-2 Mercia Bromham
Casuals Osteria 6-1 Caledon Simpson
Ousevale Borough 1-0 Avidia United

Matchday Six
The match of the day was always going to be at the Cygnus Stadium, as Mercia Bromham took on local rivals Ousevale...and it was the Tigers who won through, a five-goal thriller settled by Tyrrin striker Michael Willem. Good news for Ousevale - but better than Tabeck, who make history as the first Starblaydi side ever to top the Liga Calania with a victory over Avidia City.

Best game for the neutrals was the back-and-forth thriller at the Hallad City Stadium, where Stanton Town beat the hosts by the odd goal in nine.

Corinthian Spirits 2-4 Emberton Reds
Beckton Supermarine 0-3 New Cefn Albion
Avidia City 1-3 Tabeck FC
Jhanna City 4-0 Notegia Rangers
Internashionale 1-2 Malta Lines
Royal Emberton 2-2 Iskara Daii
Hallad Reavers 4-5 Stanton Town
Foxchester Raiders 2-1 FC Farça
Montepool Waves 1-2 Telecontarë
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-3 Casuals Osteria
Mercia Bromham 2-3 Ousevale Borough
Caledon Simpson 2-4 Avidia United

Tigers vs Emperors
Zarbli's All-Star Game III

Instead of a boring award ceremony to recognise the best players of the season, starting with season III, the best players in Zarbli will play against each other in the all-new all-spectacular Zarbli's All-Star Game!

For this fabulous event, two teams will be forged with players from all over the country. The Tigers, named after our national animals, gathering players from the mountains of the North-East and forests of the West. And from the pastures of the Center and sands of the South comes Emperors, a homage to the glorious begining of our country as an Empire centuries ago.

It's the best of the best, the clash of the titans, it's Tigers vs Emperors!

Tigers
Tigers' team is chosen from clubs from the North-East (Asia FC, Balance, Cross SC, Mountain Chain, Polar Zenith, TFC) and West (Billiard, Cannibals, Coconut Trees and Romans) regions.

The team was formed with 4 players from Asia FC, runners-up in the Duke League III and the only club in the DL's top 5 from Tigers' regions. Nevertheless, they composed a strong midfield with Asia FC's Raxid and Rasputin, Romans' Aladin and Billiard's Oito, and a very efficient striker duo with Asia's Karazaua and the always dangerous Norman, from Cannibals. The defence is the most weak side of the Tigers, even though Gabrieu "the Astonishing" Kasapa from Billiard protected their goal.

TIGERS' 11

GK [1] Kasapa (Billiard)
RD [2] Kabelo (Cannibals)
D [3] Tako (Billiard)

LD [6] Maome (Asia FC)
DM [5] Raxid (Asia FC)
DM [8] Oito (Billiard)
M [10] Aladin (Romans)
M [11] Rasputin (Asia FC)
CF [7] Karazaua (Asia FC)
CF [9] Norman (Cannibals)

Emperors
Emperors' team is composed of players from the Center (Classics, Lichen, Lunar, Goyoreh, Union and Warriors) and South (Battle, Bloodthirsty Killers, Knights and Pyramid AC) regions' clubs.

For this season, Emperors could count with players from 4 of the top 5 clubs in the Duke League, including the champion Warriors, who had players spread in every section of the team. Defense was completed with 3 Knights players and midfield with 2 from Battle.

EMPERORS' 11

GK [1] Burbon (Knights)
RD [2] Umus (Lichen)
D [3] Uindsor (Knights)
D [4] Txartxhil (Warriors)

DM [8] Bonaparte (Battle)
M [10] Nohis (Warriors)
M [11] Disisparta (Battle)
CF [7] Duna (Pyramid AC)
CF [9] Leonidas (Warriors)

The Match

The city of Goyoreh was delighted to receive the best 22 players in Tirazu Stadium, home of DL champions Warriors. Most of the 90,000 people that packed the stadium was cheering for Emperors, the "home" team, but Tigers' supporters could also be found averywhere in the arena.

The match started warm, Emperors with all white jerseys with blue and green trims, Tigers with half blue, half green jerseys with white trims, both teams honouring Zarbli's colors. Right at the beginning of the match, Emperors' superiority became evident. as strikers Duna and Leonidas forced Tigers goalkeeper Kasapa the Astonishing to perform extremely difficult catches, proving that his nickname is well deserved.

Yeah, but no man is an island, and Tigers' weaker defense soon made its goalkeeper's work impossible, and Bonaparte scored Emperors' first goal after outrunning both opposing defenders. Not too long after that, Duna scored again using his head, and the teams left for the break with Emperors winning 2-0.

Second half begun with Tigers trying very hard to change the match's history, but it was absolutely no good, as they were having an awful time trying to get through Emperors' defensive system, lead by defensive midfielder Ualase, by far the best man of the match. His bravery and leadership was rewarded with a long distance free kick that he converted and put Emperors 3 goals ahead. Tigers managed to score his only goal right before the end of the match, with the ever present Norman and his efficient head, after a crossing from Maome.

But that wasn't enough, and the first All-Star game ended with Emperors' 3-1 victory.

Matchday Seven
Well...that was short lived. Tabeck fluff their lines with a draw against Foxchester, and Emberton Reds become the fourth side to lead the table this season, with Ousevale in hot pursuit after their victory over Malta Lines. Beckton's luckless run continues with a defeat to Caledon Simpson, whilst it's better news for Telecontarë, as the Aquilianan side leap to eighth after victory over Montepool Waves.

Results:
Corinthian Spirits 3-0 Hallad Reavers
Ousevale Borough 3-1 Malta Lines
Royal Emberton 4-2 Internashionale
FC Farça 3-3 Notegia Rangers
Emberton Reds 3-2 Avidia United
Telecontarë 3-1 Montepool Waves
Mercia Bromham 1-0 New Cefn Albion
Beckton Supermarine 0-3 Caledon Simpson
Stanton Town 3-1 Jhanna City
Iskara Daii 4-2 Cedrus Soundgardia
Foxchester Raiders 2-2 Tabeck FC
Casuals Osteria 3-1 Avidia City

Matchday Eight
It would seem, at this early stage, that the best in Krytenia will out against the best of Starblaydia. Tabeck draw with leaders Emberton Reds, this time to Avidia City, and drop to sixth; Iskara Daii, one place above them, are now the top Starblaydi side thanks to a convincing win over the Waves. The top four is now all-Krytenian; Casuals Osteria are that fourth team, thanks to victory over Cedrus, whilst Mercia's crushing of Avidia United maves them into third.

Results:
Stanton Town 3-2 Corinthian Spirits
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Ousevale Borough
Hallad Reavers 1-3 Royal Emberton
Malta Lines 1-1 FC Farça
Internashionale 2-3 Emberton Reds
Notegia Rangers 1-2 Telecontarë
Avidia United 2-6 Mercia Bromham
New Cefn Albion 3-1 Montepool Waves
Caledon Simpson 0-0 Iskara Daii
Jhanna City 0-4 Foxchester Raiders
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-2 Casuals Osteria
Tabeck FC 1-2 Avidia City

Matchday Nine
It's as you were in the top four, as Emberton Reds hammer Hallad, Ousevale make mincemeat of the Daii, Mercia put a half-dozen past Inter, and Casuals come out on top against Caledon. Tabeck are now leading the "Starblaydi Section" in fifth after victory over Cedrus, and in other good Starblaydi news, Montepool record their first win of the season after beating Notegia. No such luck for Beckton, though they did at least make FC Farça work for their three points.

Results:
Corinthian Spirits 1-3 Foxchester Raiders
Ousevale Borough 4-2 Iskara Daii
Royal Emberton 4-2 Stanton Town
FC Farça 2-1 Beckton Supermarine
Emberton Reds 5-2 Hallad Reavers
Telecontarë 1-1 Malta Lines
Mercia Bromham 6-1 Internashionale
Montepool Waves 3-0 Notegia Rangers
Avidia United 0-1 New Cefn Albion
Casuals Osteria 3-1 Caledon Simpson
Avidia City 1-1 Jhanna City
Tabeck FC 3-2 Cedrus Soundgardia

Matchday Ten
Finally, a Starblaydi side back in the top four! Casuals are comprehensively beaten by the Borough, and Tabeck take back fourth after beating Caledon Simpson. The Reds, meanwhile, keep top of the table after obliterating Stanton; seven-nil's gotta smart.

At the bottom, Beckton are still winless after losing to Telecontarë; indeed, the only team in the bottom six to record any points were Montepool, and even then that was courtesy of a snore draw with those connoiseurs of karela, Malta Lines.

Results:
Avidia City 2-1 Corinthian Spirits
Casuals Osteria 1-4 Ousevale Borough
Foxchester Raiders 3-1 Royal Emberton
Iskara Daii 3-1 FC Farça
Stanton Town 0-7 Emberton Reds
Beckton Supermarine 2-3 Telecontarë
Hallad Reavers 0-2 Mercia Bromham
Malta Lines 0-0 Montepool Waves
Internashionale 3-4 Avidia United
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Notegia Rangers
Caledon Simpson 0-1 Tabeck FC
Jhanna City 3-1 Cedrus Soundgardia

Matchday Eleven
And there go Tabeck again...this time, it's Ousevale meting out the punishment, and they go top with a five-one victory. With Bromham also winning, the Reds' draw with Foxchester is enough to drop them to third, whilst Casuals also take advantage - and fourth!

Telecontarë continue their good run, hauling themselves into sixth...and New Cefn have seemingly recovered from their traditional slow start, victory over Internashionale moving them up to seventh place. Congratulations also to Beckton, defeating Montepool Waves to record their first win of the season.

Results:
Corinthian Spirits 2-2 Cedrus Soundgardia
Ousevale Borough 5-1 Tabeck FC
Royal Emberton 5-2 Avidia City
FC Farça 0-1 Casuals Osteria
Emberton Reds 2-2 Foxchester Raiders
Telecontarë 3-0 Iskara Daii
Mercia Bromham 3-1 Stanton Town
Montepool Waves 0-1 Beckton Supermarine
Avidia United 1-0 Hallad Reavers
Notegia Rangers 0-1 Malta Lines
Internashionale 1-2 New Cefn Albion
Jhanna City 3-3 Caledon Simpson

Matchday Twelve
Caution: Elves. Telecontarë race into the top four with a crushing victory over Casuals Osteria; it's still Ousevale at the top though, and with Mercia losing to the Raiders, Emberton Reds are back up to second thanks to a win away to Avidia City.

Beckton are still bottom, though a draw with second-bottom Notegia does at least increase their points total.

Results:
Caledon Simpson 3-0 Corinthian Spirits
Jhanna City 1-3 Ousevale Borough
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-3 Royal Emberton
Tabeck FC 0-3 FC Farça
Avidia City 2-3 Emberton Reds
Casuals Osteria 1-4 Telecontarë
Foxchester Raiders 3-1 Mercia Bromham
Iskara Daii 3-0 Montepool Waves
Stanton Town 2-2 Avidia United
Beckton Supermarine 1-1 Notegia Rangers
Hallad Reavers 2-1 Internashionale
New Cefn Albion 0-1 Malta Lines

International action

Mapabore Juventud were drawn against Huellim FE. No really. And then Huellim FE won. It just felt a little inevitable. Estudiantes de Íguen beat Medoria Löwen, though. Then they beat Ranca Toco 6-3, which is wrong on so many levels (including the symbol in between, but this is the IDSNW...things are different here), while the SBCC teams all won to make the group stages with only Ojedo Cerro requring away goals to sort things out. Alianza Ciruelas beat Bohemian East Lawn with a tolerable 4-3 score, and then shut out the Eterna Stars while Mapabore Juventud rallied in convincing style to beat Monteriano. Piratas de Grisolon, on the other hand, lost to Castrograd S. C. on penalties. Not that we don't owe them a lot, you understand, but...doesn't make it any better.

Estudiantes were a quiet last in their group, but Trecelunas FC topped theirs. 2 de abril's exciting new capital letter in their...TCA?...didn't help them advance out of the group stage, but none of our other teams needed the help. Mapabore Juventud were eliminated in the group stage of the Globe Cup despite a 5-2 victory; Alianza Ciruelas, for their part, advanced despite a 6-4 defeat, Fellam Marsh's only victory of the stage. Really, there was nothing particularly redeeming about it. Except that they scored some goals, which is better than nothing. Right? Never mind.

Kinney Road, who had needed a tiebreaker to edge out San Pablo for first place in group H, needed no tiebreaker to defeat Universidad de Dénprade. The Pumas, for their part, alongside their neighbors, independently averted the possibility of a quarterfinal derby by losing to União Trabalhadora and Webley Stadium respectively. Alianza Ciruelas beat Poikimitagiin FE to start things off, but Poiki rallied back to advance on away goals. Or goal, singular. These Vephrese get a bit worked up over nothing, don't they?

Well...maybe a little more than nothing. Merpisms CE, Mapabore's quarterfinal victims in TQCC18, awaited Trecelunas FC in the first knockout round. Merpisms won, 1-0...but Amílcar Ruiberriz doesn't have a reputation for nothing, you know. The lineup that awaited Merpisms in the return leg wasn't that different from the one that lost, but it was different enough to storm to a 5-1 win. Ruiberriz didn't have much to do after a 1-0 victory over Mountbatten Junction, but Trecelunas were resurgent anyway, winning 4-0 in the other leg. The semifinals, too, began with a 1-0 result, but Trecelunas only needed a draw. Or less, actually. But they drew 1-1. What did you really expect?

Thing is, though, that wasn't quite enough in the final. Fate didn't want to see Trecelunas FC win anything else, Albrecht FC's youngsters had learned how to put penalties away, and...I don't know, some young person who was there last time...Rhys Khan? Potentially. Anyhow, we lost. Where's Ederoño Manderiaga when you need him?

...Soluca. Right.

I stand corrected. Fate wanted Trecelunas FC to win something else.

It was only by three points, yes, but besides Trecelunas' victory last time around, the Pumas were the last team to win the first division by more. For the most part, other teams' fans are just sighing and hoping they meet a similar fate. That said, Mapabore were strong once again. And the only other team to have positive goal differentials both at home and away (Trecelunas were -1 on the road) came third. Yep, Unión de Ciudagua.

When they took twelve points from Trecelunas FC and Piratas de Grisolon, the season thirteen whispers of them being the new CA Condadore returned in louder form. But then, they turned to real gasps of awe; Unión were simply good. Survival is no longer the goal here.

And perhaps, for Deportivo Peralta neither. With the offense firing on all cylinders (not like...quite possibly like that, though) and the defense as apathetic as ever, they roared into the Globe Cup places with the biggest game of the season; a 4-4 draw with Arcrés Millos. We're backwards and idiosyncratic and all over here; yes, it's nice for the bad teams that they can't really be victim to embarrassing blowouts, but the fans were truly craving something like that. The two all-out attackers have met in the middle lately when it comes to results; come next season, they'll be effectively indistinguishable.

Piratas de Grisolon round up the top half, and aren't we lucky, the only tie involves teams out of either fray. Given recent history I'll refrain from proclaiming this season or last a fluke for Estudiantes de Íguen, but anyhow they did significantly worse than last season. Alianza Ciruelas, like Deportivo Peralta and 12 de noviembre, had goal differentials of zero both at home and away (with Piratas de Grisolon's also zero at home).

And then to the bottom. 12 de noviembre moved out of the basement, yes, and have to consider themselves satisfied with ninth place overall seeing as how there was no outright eighth; the tie for seventh place was between Millos and Deportivo, the latter of whom had only led 12 de noviembre by a point after the Apertura. That said, so had CA Condadore.

Um. Who were all out of inspiration and weren't upsetting enough, and who are hence being relegated.

Bye.

San Pablo had an eight-point lead over their neighbors. They were eleven points ahead of third. Quite frankly, anything other than promotion would have been humiliating.

The whole "not being able to win more than three road games" thing was just a little worrying, particularly as one of those three road games was against last-place 2 de abril and another was against playoff-bound CF Clan Tropa. That said, the rumors of impending collapse were just that, and they won the overall title by four points.

Over the Clausura champions, Ojedo Cerro. They needed excellence to have a hope of promotion outright, and though it wasn't enough, it spurred them on to a strong season. And just behind them came...wait. No. You're not...they're serious.

CSD Trecelunas, who apparently have a clue to go along with the talent. They really don't need that many gimmicks to drive in fans; the attack-starved residents of Trecelunas should be...oh right, the big team from the city just won their second title in a row. Forgot that. Well anyway, the CSD apparently have enough gimmicks to bring in fans and make money, and the sundry lineup they've assembled is holding together.

The other promoted team, ICD Villago, were dangerous on the road but could only beat AC Mineros at home. And it was AC Mineros who were soundly relegated, with 2 de abril back to another 15-point season. CF Clan Tropa took on a resilient Blén CA, who had come second to Lobernians.

Blén CA won, 2-1. As did 12 de noviembre against Ojedo Cerro. The upshot of it all is that the first division will be more attacking than the second for the first time since we bothered to figure out who all comprised the latter, I think.

Also, stadium bids, which we didn't do last time. Don't know why that is.

TQCC: Estadio Aramis Peralta, Ciudad Peralta (68,000) I don't care that Depor aren't entering. I really don't. We have a big enough stadium that's actually staying in the first division for a change.
GC: Estadio NioRadio, Grisolon (40,000)
SBCC: Estadio Sango, San Pablo (23,000)

Liventia Football League and Ad’ihani League Championship agree to form UICA qualifying tournament

Orean, LIVENTIA and City of Ad’ihan, AD’IHAN— The Liventia Football League and the United Islands League Championship are to take on the current fad of joint national league systems currently seen in Paripana and Calania, but with a twist.

The two championships announced today that the top five teams from each league, as well as the two national cup winners (or runners-up, or next best league team) will be involved in a single joint UICA qualifying system which will retain the Liventia First Division and the United Islands Premier as the two nations' respective top leagues, as compared to the systems in Paripana and Calania where the joint leagues are considered the top flight with relegation to separate systems.

Under the new plan, which will begin effective immediately from next season, the Liventia First Division will go from 42 games per team (six against each other team) to 35 games per team (five), which is in line with the United Islands Premier's 34 games per team. The 12 teams involved would then play a further 11 games (once against each other team) in what is set to be known as the Joint Unification System Trial (JUST), which will run for at least five UICA cycles.

The top five teams, regardless of association (with a current limit of three per association, although this will change in future as the two nations' coefficients vary), will qualify for the TakilQuip Champions' Cup. The next six teams, regardless of association and with a set limit of four per association, will qualify for the Globe Cup. The 12th-placed team will therefore miss out on UICA qualification.

There will be no change to qualifying for the Series B Champions' Cup, with each national association sending its four teams as per the current system, from the second (and third, in Ad’ihan's case) levels of each league system.

The UILC, which also involves foreign and foreign-backed teams, has said that such teams will be allowed to take part in any such qualifying tournament only on a case-by-case basis, as is currently the case.
