No. I don't want to improve my gaming experience and thus I'm selecting this option because you've pretty much boxed me in to it. I know I don't actually have to select anything anyway but I'm compelled to cast a vote. I know I can go to viewtopic.php?f=31&t=268404 if I really wanted to voice my opinion.

Urran -

I was going to kick you. Instead, I'll give you a heads-up. Things need to change if you wish to remain.

FIRST ISSUE - MY CO-OPS
Bone Fort wrote:
Urran wrote:I usually don't say things like this but Bones, you REALLY piss me off. Even whenever you aren't talking to me. You are too much like my older brother for my tastes.

I'm not going to respond to that, lest this conversation take an unwanted and rather dark turn.

[NOTE: Bones captured your post prior to you editing it.]

Why I have three Co-OPS for this mega-thread:
  • Stern Law - Bones isn't your brother. He's hard-nosed. His earlier posts pointed out flaws without adding sugar. That's his job. He does it well.
  • Humor Helps - Tilt guides but also keeps things lighthearted. He smooths over the bumps. He does it well.
  • Nurture - Swith is the world builder and page administrator. She takes time to point out flaws while boosting the player's spirit. She does it well.

Please do not fire off sarcastic comments when one of my co-ops points out a major problem. They aren't pointing out things from off the cuff. They're addressing issues that we, as a team, have discussed behind the scenes prior.

SECOND ISSUE - LOST OF TRUST/RESPECT
Actioni contrariam semper et aequalem esse reactionem - To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction.

Urran wrote:Steam in pointless in my eyes. PL is beginning to bore me. Either I didn't stay away long enough or like the other threads I've joined and left in the past it is just losing its charm. I've got plenty of new ideas, but no vision or long term goals. This is actually the only thread I'm in at the moment (all others just aren't interesting enough) and the only thing keeping me at NS. Chances are, if it too loses its charm, my nation will cease to exist.

There are consequences to our actions. They affect how others perceive us. Never give an ultimatum unless prepared to follow through. Never divulge information you will later regret. Actions speak louder than words. Face is difficult to restore once lost.
  • You only joined because you were bored. You only play because you're bored:
Urran wrote:Since his death he doesn't do interviews anymore. Thought I posted that...you guys do realize that I have no goals when I rp right? I did join the thread out of boredom/curiosity and that's mainly what keeps me here.
We won't take you seriously now.
  • You don't read the OOC:
Failure to read the OOC results in posts which conflict with the overarching story and setting. You mess up everyone's game.
  • Lack of continuity:
Everything you post in IC sets canon. You robbed Bran of his entire Urranese/BranRiech war canon when you posted your nation being from another dimension.
  • You have no focus or goals:
You take focus away from others. They must entertain you when you're bored instead of work on their own things. Players need to work as team.
  • You're leaving:
Players will not count on you to be there; they'll not include you in their story planning.

THIRD ISSUE - ANNOYANCE
These are the things which have started to annoy people. No sugar here.
  • Japan. You heavily base your nation in Japan but it comes off as tacky.
  • Skipping down halls. Yoshi is a straight, adult male who has sired a child. Straight adult males do not skip.
Urran wrote:Yoshi skipped down the hall and hoped that it wasn't too early to visit Katya. He knocked on her door softly and hoped that she answered. He didn't know that she had company, then again, he liked dora and didn't really care if she was there or not.
    Image
  • Godmodding.
  • REDACTING. REDACTS happen because you don't pay attention to the entire thread, don't read the OOC, don't ask players if their character is available. I will kick you out the next time you post something that requires a major REDACT.
  • Clinging.
    1. Yoshi at dinner with other characters yet sending a text to Katya. It made readers think the other characters weren't important; Katya was in a scene with Dora and working on her quest.
    2. Kei couldn't get a break to do her own thing. I want to point out something very important here: Kei missed Swith/Thriller's wedding because you kept the character from going. All Kei and Tieria did was screw and coo. Your character was invited to Thriller's planet, Kei was char!Swith's friend. This is why char!Swith is cold towards Kei now. Good on Swith for playing in character! Couple that with Tieria trying to steal tech from Thriller (because you didn't read the OOC rules for that adventure). Bad form.
    3. Yoshi and Katya are invited into Tilt's characters' apartment. Katya wants to start a company that, in part, investigates things. Tilt sets up clues to a mystery. Yoshi pulled Katya into another coo-fest. Tilt's story stalled. Not fair to Tilt.
  • Posting in OOC.
    1. You posted "herro" on the new [CLOSED] OOC. Swith was in the middle of posting the next text box. A preview showed your post. She had to go to Moderation and request post removal because you screwed up her work. She had more boxes to add. She had to wait for a Mod to log in and remove the post before being able to post her work. It was late at night. She was already exhausted.
    2. Senseless OOC posts with asterisk play.
      Urran wrote:
The BranRiech wrote:Well, wanted to have Kei introduce herself to Volt, can we still do that tonight?

      Bwan! *cries* *raises arms to*

People do want you here. You need to make an effort to improve. The things I'm pointing out aren't specific requirements for PL; these are RP standards. Bad habits can be broken with effort.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

same here,i usually rp out of boredom and curiosity,i do enjoy bringing ideas within my head to life, but i mainly do it cause im bored.

speaking of which,im deciding to leave to again, for the same reason to...and School requires more of my attention now...so cya PL,it's been nice but like every veteran, ill would of eventually take my leave.

Tsu:
  • You only play when you've got nothing better to do.
  • You leave Torsi frozen in scene for days.
  • You invest nothing in your characters.
  • With the exception of dropping colored fonts and removing asterisks, you haven't even tried to improve your writing.
  • You fail to read the OOC and don't pay attention to the thread.
I strongly suggest this thread for your RP needs. Don't return to PL.

So, what's up with current events before I type up my reply to Swith? Besides hammer of god above me.
If we affirm one moment, we thus affirm not only ourselves but all existence. For nothing is self-sufficient, neither in us ourselves nor in things; and if our soul has trembled with happiness and sounded like a harp string just once, all eternity was needed to produce this one event—and in this single moment of affirmation all eternity was called good, redeemed, justified, and affirmed.

That's exactly what Swith's basing it on. Tipper thinks its a dog. When Volt gets back, he'll be wondering just how can Tipper magically find strange creatures in the middle of fucking no-where. It's like a super power almost.
