Apparently all you need to do is take a center-left party, push it a smidgeon to the left, and then all of the center-right joins you!

I guess that we're appealing enough to quite a quantity of the Senate, given that we are economical moderates/centrists and social libertarians.

Ah, while I think about it - I did a report basically outlining the state of the Health Ministry by the time I left office. For the record, marijuana - and pretty much every drug in the land - is legal, and under current legislation you can only ban something if it'll basically kill you. Everything else is at least available to 21-year-olds to buy freely, and because of the sheer amount of drugs around, I didn't get round to doing most of the SHSA drug classifications. Abortion is available for free up to the 12th week. And as for what's free or not, I've assumed it was in the style of the British NHS in the early years - it covers pretty much everything for free (including free prescriptions, free dental and optical care), except that which is obviously purely elective (like non-reconstructive plastic surgery). I assumed that contraception was still a private enterprise. Also there's 1129 NHB hospitals in the country, out of a total of around 1450 ((OOC: TGed to Ainin a week or so ago.)). Also I saw Ainin did some nice-looking smoking packages, but I'm not sure if our being in the EEA/EFTA means we now have to use standard European packages instead.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now - good luck to my successor, whoever they may be.

An outline of my ministry policies:

HEALTH

Maintain universal healthcare.
Ensure operations can be performed on time.
Establish free dental and medical check-ups, especially for children (two to three times per year).
Establish free cancer screenings on request.
Additional programmes to combat drug addiction.
Heavy taxes on legal drugs.
If any illegal drugs will exist, strong rehabilitation.
Free prescriptions for the old, poor and young.
Improve ambulance response times.
Free contraception and anonymous sexual health treatment.
Maintain the ability for people to seek private healthcare.
Support some private medical research, yet aim to do some within the NHB.

DEFENCE

I'd decrease military spending and prevent any wars in foreign countries if not totally necessary to save Aurentines' lives. I'd operate on the principle of lives saved versus lives lost, and aim to prevent war at any cost. However, defence would not be my first choice of ministry.

BUSINESS SAFETY

Support safe businesses; not so safe as to generate apathy or stunt economic growth, but still safe.
Enact laws on pollution.
Ensure fair trials are had by those who have been injured at work, and fair court rulings on compensation.
Ensure any compensation does not result in negative treatment by the employer, and punish contravening employers.
Set up a body to inspect businesses to check if they comply with regulations. If they do not, put them on special measures to improve.

HEALTH

Maintain a high quality level of universal healthcare.
Ensure operations can be performed on time.
Establish free dental and medical check-ups, especially for children (two to three times per year).
Establish free cancer screenings on request, and compulsory checks for those judged to be at high risk of developing cancer.
Additional programmes to combat drug addiction.
Taxes on legal drugs.
If any illegal drugs will exist, strong rehabilitation.
Free prescriptions for the old, poor, young and long-term ill (for example, asthmatics).
Improve ambulance response times, and the quality.
Free contraception and anonymous sexual health treatment.
Maintain the ability for people to seek private healthcare, but discourage it; I believe that funds should be concentrated in the universal healthcare system.
Support some private medical research, yet aim to do some within the NHB.

DEFENCE

Decrease military spending, but keep enough of a force to defend Aurentina against any possible foreign threats
Encourage prevention of war without Aurentine intervention

BUSINESS SAFETY

Support safe businesses.
Enact strict laws on pollution.
Ensure fair trials are had by those who have been injured at work, and fair court rulings on compensation.
Guarantee that those who get compensation from employers will not be mistreated as a result.
Set up a body to inspect businesses to check if they comply with regulations. If they do not, put them on special measures to improve. If special measures do not work, wind up the business.

Whilst I don't have a vote for any of the candidates I must say that to me Oneracon is the most preferable in terms of Health and Business Safety for me... But you can't have two...

Although I do dislike the government having the authority to close any business if it's failing regulations, special measures I could agree with but closing it is a big no no for me. Additionally, may I ask the Party OP to change the Hall of Fame text as it says (Ex-TR and Ex-LDP members) you've gotta remember that not everyone in here will be from those parties if more people join from outside :)
