Description
By placing the fire assembly of the firearm behind the grip, the barrel is lengthened without considerably lengthening the firearm itself, giving considerably better range and accuracy to the Deadeye, trading it for additional weight and some minor recoil.

The Deadeye SMG was designed as a new defender weapon for military vehicle crews and personnel working in smaller, close quarters environments or those needing considerable firepower in a smaller size.

Bullpupping the Kriss will multiply the recoil, not reduce it.

Just FYI.

OOC: Hence why the slide action is inverted and the slide itself is properly weighted to compensate for the fact that it's off-center from the grip. It requires the assembly to be a bit more complex, yes.

Yeah, that's not what that picture is showing. If the mechanism were inverted, it would be sticking upward, not down, as in the pic. This would also create some pretty serious problems when it comes to aiming the thing, since the mechanism would prevent you from looking down the sights.

I mean, personally I think the Super V system in general is a dumb gimmick, and SMGs are obsolete for anything but personal defense, but bullpupping it is even sillier.

OOC: The slide starts at the bottom and is pulled upwards, rather than forced downwards. It requires an additional arm, pivot point located a bit higher up, but it's still quite possible.

And I should suppose it's quite good that SMGs are obsolete for anything but defense, because that's what the Deadeye is designed for. It's not truly meant for anything but. Beyond that, I bull-pupped it to give it one wonderful quality: Range.
Why? Because of the purpose of the commission I received for such a weapon, and because of the purpose I saw for my own military using it. The commission was for something for various Agents and intelligence-personnel who might get in a sticky situation, or those who simply can't afford to carry a large rifle, or need a more compact weapon. For my military, I needed something vehicle crews could defend themselves with.
Both require range. For vehicle crews, well trained against attackers, if all you have is a pistol and your opponents have rifles, all your training doesn't matter because all your assailants have to do is stay greater than 50 yards out and pick you off one by one. Bullpup it and lengthen the barrel, add the Super V design, and you boost that range to one a bit more practical. As for Agents of various organizations, who may or may not be operating in foreign lands, odds are you're dealing with groups with considerably better firepower.
If SMG's are obsolete because they aren't evolve them with the times, then evolve them. Do something new.

For the same weight as this weapon system, I could be carrying a Russian AS VAL suppressed rifle. It would offer significantly greater range, greater lethality owing from being a rifle (firing specially designed 9x39mm ammunition) and is integrally suppressed.
Or a PDR, which fires 5.56

Bullpupping a submachine gun for barrel length makes them more accurate and offers a little extra range, but not much worthwhile. It just doesn't have the capabilities that rifle ammunition does.

So, how does this "pivot point and arm" work, when it drags the bolt group up?

I'd rather not have to actually depict it with a drawing, I have other commissions to work on.
In short: whereas the typical Super V firing acting causes a slide, running along an angle comparative to the bolt itself, in this model it is instead a shorter arm which is angled to move upwards, it's end-point just behind and below where the rear-sight would be. It is connected to a slide at the base of the gun, behind the magazine, which is drawn upwards.
Or would that cause the barrel to go back down even further since the rounds are now going off behind and above the hand? I had it all worked out in my head at one point.

No, it's not.

You need to do some research on the Super V, and/or mechanical engineering in general, because that's not how you into science.

Evolved Subgun? That's called a PDW. And I still prefer a PDR. All the same advantages, plus more range, more accuracy, more penetration and more lethality.

Also what Para said, though I'd prefer less :Ruskie: myself. Gotta go full 'Muricah all up in this bitch.
