Senate Inquiry Into The Aurentine Mafia

REALISING the fact that the Aurentine Mafia has waged a violent campaign of assassinations, bombings and other illegal activities in the streets of Aurentina.
BELIEVING that the Senate of Aurentina urgently needs to begin dealing with this issue before the situation deteriorates further

HEREBY commissions a Senate Inquiry into the Aurentine Mafia.

Organisation
The Senate Inquiry shall consist of a cross-coalition committee with 12 members selected jointly by the President, Prime Minister and Minister of Justice.

Powers
The Inquiry shall have the ability to subpoena witnesses and persons of interest.
Senators on the committee shall have the power to ask witnesses or persons of interest questions regarding the activities of the Aurentine Mafia.
Committee members shall be able to make a request that the Constabularies or Gendermarie arrest and detain any person of interest if they believe said person of interest needs to be arrested and detained for the purposes of the Inquiry.

Inquiry Report
At the end of the Inquiry, the committee of Senators is to issue a report on their findings.
This report shall contain recommendations on how to further deal with the Mafia problem.
The report is to then be tabled before the Senate.
