Yes. Not because I support it, but because that is what a democratic leader would do. The true course of democracy never did run smooth (yes that is an edited quote of a midsummer night's dream).

In that case, you are way too conceding to the opposition. I will be supporting the vote when it comes up unless there is a two or three line whip from CFE (or alliance) to do otherwise in which case, I give any alliance/ CFE member proxy vote to alter it to fit in line with aforementioned whip.

How many votes did we win the election by? Not many. We cannot just ignore the opposition, we have to listen to all sides of the argument. That is what democracy is all about.

Democracy is about ruling according to wishes of the people and people ruled in our favour. Opposition lost, thats why they are the opposition.
Policies, appointment and agreement should be according to the alliance's policy and agreement not the opponents.

Yes, when we don't have to vote for a Prime Minister that would be what would happen.

In all honesty I would prefer a westminster system where the prime minister is chosen by the President because really I'm sure some anarchist squats are more stable than Aurentina.

PM is chosen by president.
There just needs to be a vote. Then if opposition purposes no confidence, president can continue to use pocket veto (keep it at bottom of queue for ever).

Id counsel against that, my friend. Let us not mince words concerning the nature ofbthe franchise - it is an institutionalized revolution. Every time. Elections serve to placate the minority by implying they may yet gain influence and input. But, they are the minority. The unvictorious minority. They possess rights only God can give but they possess political privilege onoy the victors give. Patting the spoiled puppy on the head does little do address its nature. It will remain spoiled and entitled. The best way to break inappropriat behaviors is firmly but justly.

Victors should not cater to the opposition lest they feed the entitled nature. We should do well to avoid patting the spoiled puppy on its head.

Ours was a just revolution. Supported by the majority. Therefore, we should honor their faith by leading firmly and justly.

The time for leftist influence and victory may come. Such is unfortunate reality in democratic governance. But that is tomorow. We lead today. And they should not forget it.

I consider the opposition as the opposition already. However, that does not mean that the government and opposition cannot work together to provide a fairer nation. Look at the UK, Davud Cameron and Ed Milliband, who are bitter political enemies, worked together to allow gay marriage, something the majority of British people supported. In Aurentina, we can work with the opposition to create a fair and stable nation. Your opinion that we shouldn't care what the other side thinks is undemocratic senator.
