In exchange for their freedom and safety, The Crown Prince's wife Yuuko agreed never to have any children. However, in late 1955, she gave birth to the third Edvard Benes, named after his paternal grandfather, former President of Czechoslovakia. As a result, she was imprisoned in 1956 for crimes against the state, and sent to a concentration camp in Siberia. She later escaped, and returned to Czechoslovakia in 1998, after she was located in the former USSR. As The Crown Prince was now working as a clerk for The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia from 1950-1967, he was spared this fate to avoid embarrassment to the party. During the Prague Spring, young Edvard participated in throwing rocks at Warsaw Pact tanks. For this, he was arrested, and taken for reeducation in the USSR. During his stay in the USSR, he was enrolled in a business school, and he spent two years working in middle management in the USSR's railroad system. When he was twenty , in 1975, they escaped from the USSR to Aurentina, where he has lived and worked for twenty years as a railroad executive, and twenty as a diplomat\politician. He married a Kitsune immigrant, Atsuko Kitsune in 1979, in 1984 she gave birth to their daughter, Chinatsu Zuzanna Benes. He lives in Nakkë, a quaint island city where things move at a slower pace, cars are uncommon, and rail is the most common form of transport.

A: I believe the government exists to ensure the protection of the inalienable rights of individuals, as well as provided a social-economic system in which every person has the opportunity to reach their potential. To that end, it is necessary for the government to take action, such as progressive taxes, to create an acceptable level of equality.
• Q: What circumstances, if any, would justify Aurentine military involvement abroad? A: It is possible that horrendous human rights abuses, or imminent threat of attack on our soil would justify our military involvement. However, I believe it would be best to try and work these issues out diplomatically, or otherwise non-violently. In any event we would need to carefully decide if our involvement would cause more suffering than it would alleviate.
• Q: What should Aurentina's foreign policy approach be? A: We should try to lead the world by example. Our achievements in social equality should make other nations look to us for guidance. We ought to use as much diplomacy as possible, as well as involvement in international organizations.
• Q: What are your views on Monarchism? I support the establishment of a constitutional monarchy in Aurentina, either joining the Commonwealth of Nations and reestablishing Queen Elizabeth II, or creating an independent Aurentine monarchy.
