RESS Harmony

The Captain replied to the ship. We have no interest of negotiation with those insects, I doubt they are even capable of basic communication, anyway! and with that, the Captain cut the com link. The Captain then snapped at the crew Use our trackers to find that damned ship! If we can't rescue our comrades, lets at least blow them to the heavens! And with that, RESS Harmony's tracking systems began to track the insect ship.

At this the program ordered that the fleet where to leave the sentient's to their games (sorry for the one liner, nothing else to say)
He had been planning originally to collect the sentient's and improve their minds and collect their vital fluids for biomass.

Radio Deck of AIS Beauty

Black. Robotic, cold black filled the Transmission screen. Radio Officer Jacsix Compermil sat with intent eyes, gazing onto the screen whilst Deconter leaned on a rail behind him, eager to see a response, if any.

He expected the same as every day of the whole expedition: nothing. But as he started to turn, there radio whirred into life. There was a crackle, then a flicker, then a letter appeared: S

Radio intermission from a nearby star that somehow translated through the ships detailed Radio mechanism. But then another appeared:

A.

And another:

L.

Too many to be a coincidence, and Jacsix quickly set about triangulating the source. He tapped away and the letters began to appear on the screen quicker. This meant a sentient signal.

"Keep working on it" muttered Zanalia, before striding away through the deck and into the main section of the ship. He descended three flights of metal steps, his military boots clunking against the hard floors, and passed through a level-1 security door, flashing his clearance to an automated security camera. The doors slid open and he walked into a bare hallway, lined with wires and dull red lights. He passed through another set of doors, this time guarded by a sole Warrior with a Photon Rifle, and he was waived straight through.

Beyond the second doors was what he'd come down here to find: the Military Command Centre of the vessels, or the MCC. No-one but the highest ranked officers knew about the existence of this place, the ship had been billed to the Senate as a purely peaceful unit, but Deconter had ordered the conversion of warehouse space into an MCC, which normally sat behind the bridge.

He walked through the mish-mash of monitors and platforms, and although it was sparsely populated, there was a sense of action in the air. In the centre of the MCC was the Total Command Centre, where the Military Commander of the vessel could take total control of the ship in case of an emergency. But he wasn't going to. At the panels surrounding the TCC stood another member of the warrior class, with fierce red eyes. This was Fleet Admiral Dakan Labalier.

Deconter raised his right arm in salute, and Labalier responded.

"Greetings General, I trust you have received the news from the radio deck?"

"Of course Commander, it is excellent news. You have replied to the unknown vessel?"

Before Deconter could reply, something went off on the console, and Labalier addressed it. He smiled to himself, before returning to Deconter.

"That was Compermil. He says that the message included co-ordnates to their nearest vessel, where the message was sent from. He wants confirmation that we can follow the source."

"Of course."

Labalier tapped in a few instructions to the Ship's computer, and then sent a message back to Compermil to send back to the source.

/// - Greetings Furron Technocracy,

We have received clearance from the Senate to meet with your vessel. We shall travel to this location, whereupon we will send a party of Warriors who man this ship, as well as Civilians and Engineers, led by Senator Zanalia Deconter. We will discard our weapons on board our vessel, as long as we can be guaranteed that you will be unarmed also.

Through Peace, Beauty out.

Deconter looked unsure, and Labalier gave him a glance.

"What is wrong Senator?"

"Nothing. It's just, this will be the first time for decades that our race has encountered another. What if they are Destined, hiding in deep space and luring us to our deaths?"

"They aren't. The Destined are gone. You know that. We defeated them at Alzal."

"Yes. Of course, sir"

"Return to the Docking Bay and find a suitable transport vessel, a Shell would be perfect, and I shall send three Warriors up to escort you. You may take three of your own staff to accompany you. And get your formal robe from your quarters. No, your Senatorial robe. Show them you're important."

He nodded in agreement and turned away, only to be greeted by the three Warriors which Labalier had ordered to escort him. They towered over him, with their hulking figures blocking his path. He shifted uncomfortably, the Warrior class always seemed, outlandish, to him.

He reached the Docking Bay after the rest of the greeting crew, wearing his long flowing orange robe, whilst the others wore the plain grey of Engineers, except for the three soldiers, who donned the white uniform of their class. The ship had manoeuvred to just a few thousand kilometres from the meeting place, and the small Shell transport ship would take themvthe rest of the way.

He ran through the situation in his head. What would they be like? Humanoid or otherwise? Or something completely abstract, like a distant memory or fading light. They were evidently capable to send and received binary messages and radio waves, so they probably had a brain in their heads. The doors linking the Shell and the main ship hissed open, and the crew got on board. He exhaled slowly one more time, and made the step.

The ship blasted away from the main ship, and his last view through the small window of the craft was General Labalier's stern expression in the Bridge.

[Legital, you can RP the initial meeting]

RESS Harmony, above Endor

With the insect ship lost, the captain orders the firing of the four Pulse-Beam cannons on the former Ewok settlement. Then, the RESS Harmony enters warp speed, and the asteroid that collided with it, is flung off due to the immense speed of the warp. RESS Harmony heads back to Eldon, but not without contacting the Oni and the Ewok.

Dear Oni and Ewok,

We hope you are well. We have retreated from Endor, and are travelling to our homeworld of Eldon. You would be more than welcome to join us. Enclosed in this message is the co-ordinates. We hope to see you there.

RESS Harmony, out.

The meteor attracted the attention of most of sentiences on Rosar, and that some sort of insects came out of it. The incubation pools were alerted to the presence of the arrivals, and they began to spin DNA strands for defense. Most of the collector were chattering about the new arrivals. The ones closest to the crash site where telling the rest about what they looked like, what they were doing, answering questions about their movements. They seemed to be looking for something.

The queen would be bigger than the brain bug,a large slug with a small face.Behind it,hundreds of workers carried eggs, while the warriors scouted in front of them. After a moment, the unoccupied workers started dig gin.A warrior would approach the collectors, but would not attack.

"What can an Ewok do with such reckless hate?" One of the Ewoks in gliders said, overlooking the battle.

"Did you hear that blast?" Tekciw asked his buddy, Puffy. "The last time I heared that, it was not good. We had to go an assist their rehabilitation for weeks. Do you think we should help?"
"No. This is their fight! We mustn't intervene. Also, I don't want to lose like they may have. I want to just be isolationist for a while longer." Puffy told them.

Furron Technocratic Military Vessel, Unaligned space,
A-4071 Light Frigate

Despite the obvious varying degrees in augmentation of the Furrons, one could see patterns on board the military vessel. When one joined the Furron military, their augmentations were removed and replaced with military grade augments, to help ensure a sense of uniformity and for the sake of easy repairs. Some augments, however, can't be removed or are too unique to be replaced. Typically these individuals take up special tasks that better suit their abilities.

Uniforms were also worn, as despite the augmentations, everyone did appear human for the most part, as most did not fully augment their flesh face. Soldiers typically wore grey or maroon robes, with battle plate armor placed over them. Officers wore less crude augmentations, and their uniforms were often lined with silver or gold displaying status as not only a leader, but of their technical field. Typically, they were just exceptional soldiers. The higher an officer was, the more he would fit into a technical niche, such as communications and advanced thinking to help better lead soldiers.

Within the main landing deck of the light frigate, a host of unarmed secutors, the name given to anyone who serves within the military, stood in two neat formations. A total of thirty secutors were in formation, with three rows of five in each. Before each formation, their platoon commander and sergeants stood at attention. They too, were unarmed.

Across from the military display was the main command cadre. Princeps Aelok, who stood at nearly seven feet tall, with massive black metal armored broad shoulders, observed his forces with his red optical lens, hidden under his hood, which must Furrons would wear. His face was mostly human, save for the single optical device, and metal plate over his mouth. On the plate was a small grate, where he would speak from. His flesh voice had been removed long ago, but he was able to mimic one mechanically. Cables and wires snaked from the side of his head back behind his neck and back, covered by his robes. They no doubt descended to a small power pack on his lower back. While Furron augmentations worked fine alongside organic parts, and thus could be powered by ones flesh heart, many opted for artificial power units, and another flesh heart.

Lord Moderati Visco was less augmented, with his face almost completely flesh. One eye was notably artificial, and the other was not. His throat appeared to be, from the front, mostly cables. He still debated privately with himself if he wished to remove his digestive track and forfeit the pleasure of drinking. His robes were a dark blue, with a gold outline along the cuffs and seams, designating him as the Lord of the ship Moderati, the crucial technical experts who ran the bridge, and oversaw several sections of the ship. Battleships and destroyers were home to legions of moderati, but lighter vessels held a usually lower amount.
Other moderati and unarmed guards accompanied the commanders as they stood before their quiet and attentive secutors.

Beside the Lord Moderati stood a tech-priest, a member of the machine cult. The man was hunched, almost completely mechanically augmented, and held onto a long metal staff, which ended in a fork. A small rod stuck out from the top of the staff, and a wire held a small globe in place, which wafted incense around the area, to please the spirits that were located on the deck.

The landing bay itself was not very large, but it was quite dark. Relatively dim lights were on overhead, and the roof appeared to be mostly pipes and valves. In the back of the bay, several fighters sat dormant. Most were stored away in small storage bays, but some were purposely left out for the current occasion.

"It has been a long time since I have known the electrical feeling of excitement, my friend." The Princeps remarked through the static language of cant, turning to look at the Lord Moderati. Visco nodded in turn, "I concur. We've yet to encounter intelligent life other than the...well, Destined. However, they were forced away after terrible casualties on their part."
The Princeps let out a mechanical laugh, and retorted. "Quite correct, after our ancestors bottled their hatred into weapons of mass destruction. It was harmful to the planet, yes, but in the end, most of the Destined were incinerated in holy nuclear fire of the machine spirit."

However, before Visco could respond, a quiet sound intoned in his head, and he looked towards the entrance to the landing bay. "My Princeps, they shall arrive at any second."

Endor

A fleet of 20 IS-2 cruisers and 50 IS-1 Frigates would come out of warp over Endor. Earlier, the Imperial government had detected lots of signals coming from the moon, and they figured there was a battle raging there. They also used their satellites to scan Endor, and they found that it was rich in useful minerals. So, the Terrondians decided to send a fleet to conquer the forest moon.

The IS-2 Cruisers would enter the atmosphere, and they were suspended in the air. Each IS-2 Cruiser was 1000 meters (1 KM) in length, so they appeared to be giant, nearly blocking out the sun. The frigates attached to the bottom of the cruisers would deattach, and they spread out near where the cruisers had entered the atmosphere at, looking for enemies. Meanwhile, 200 gunships would leave the hangars of the cruisers, and they would spread out. The head commander in the fleet was on the lead gunship, as the group flew close to the ground at 300 miles per hour. Arachnids were spotted building what appeared to be tunnels, and, receiving the order to kill anything that may pose a threat, the commander reacted.

"OPEN FIRE ON THOSE BUG THINGS!" the commander yelled in his com-link. Soon enough, all the gunships opened fire with their plasma mini-guns and they fired their rockets. The frigates opened fire with their plasma and laser cannons, producing massive explosions on the ground.

Just after Temciw said that, he heard an explosion followed by a forest fire not 200 miles away. "Now do you think we should intervene?" Puffy asked, eyeing a peice of meat.
"Okay, but we must proceed with caution." The Ewok said.

Many of the above ground warriors and workers were scorched, but soon the warriors started pouring out.In the sky, hoppers flew, climbing onto the gunships.Meanwhile, plasma bugs blasted their plasma, which would be directly headed for the ships above. While all of this was happening, more and more warriors poured out.

Pavlostan System
Wormhole Station Alpha

"This is Janister, we have odd fluctuations from the wormhole." Lieutenant Commander Daemon Janister reported.

"This is Dutnikov, last known event was the Space Bitch entering the wormhole." Captain Dutnikov reported from the Hegemon.

"Bring alertness levels to Beta." Janister advised.

PSS Hegemon

Dutnikov stared nervously at the wormhole.

"Alpha, this is Dutnikov, we have inbound contacts!" He screamed through subspace.

"Dutnikov, we read you! Ships are of unknown make! Be advised, their shields are up and weapons armed!" Janister's voice crackled through. Following them was the Space Bitch.

"Son of a whore!" Dutnikov swore angrily. He maneuvered his destroyer into a possible defense position.

We are the Thrall. Submit the system to rule. Our Masters shall return to their rightful worlds.

Dutnikov scanned the message over.

"Ready quantum torpedoes and prepare antiproton beams." He ordered. The ship hummed to life.

"Vampire!" Lieutenant Sharypov shouted from Operations. The enemy ships were firing pulse lasers. The ship rocked as laser fire peppered the shields.

"Shields are at 40%! We can't take another hit like that captain!" Sharypov advised.

"Return fire, forward antiproton!" Dutnikov gripped the armrests of his chair. Deep red piercing beams fired from the bow of the Hegemon, striking the lead Thrall vessel.

"Enemy shields are holding. Minimal damage. Damn!" Sharypov reported. The ship rocked again.

"We have plasma fires on decks two, three and... v imeni boga. Deck four is gone sir!" Sharypov gasped.

"Retreat. Get us back to the fleet." Dutnikov ordered.

"Tell them that we are under attack."

Archon Dimilious Unvargah
Suddenly the Archon awoke from this dream which indeed seemed so real. Dimilious arose from her bed taking a few steps towards her washroom where she washed her face and put on some makeup. She then opened the door and walked over to the bridge passing by several of her fellow crew once she opened the door to the bridge she was met with a view of a purple swirling haze like a whirlpool was dragging them through the under world. The Insanities Horizon was a decent sized vessel holding around two thousand warriors, and some five hundred hover barges. Suddenly the it all ended in a lurch as the ship left the webway and now floated through the empty abyss a world within reach. The Insanities horizon glided towards the world while giving off a signal.

They would be met by a grouping of two transport bugs(Which are around the same size as a star destroyer). The beasts would eject a large fleshy creature, about the size of a double decker bus, which would somehow dock with the ship,it's abdomen being what would dock.Out would crawl out a brain bug, along with thirty warriors.

Archon Dimilious Unvargah

"Archon they have made contact with our vessel. They are currently in the hanger!"

"Understood i will be there in an instant. Have four incubus waiting for me when I get there."

"Yes Archon!"

Dimilious then used a small webway gate to appear in the hanger alongside four incubus with their two handed blades walking up to the strangers. Dimilious simply stared at the strange creatures letting them speak first.

OOC: It's alright.Just TG me when you get back online

The brain bug said,in the archons mind " I am Zorthos.Who are you ? " While it waited for a response, one by one,it's eyes blinked.Behind it,the warriors scuttled about, one of them looking above them.Back in the transport bugs,an entire army waited. If needed, they would attack this ship and destroy it.

RSFS Transient Atmospheric Phenomena
Near Arklath System

A little over an hour since Samuel had transmitted the message the ship's computer alerted its crew to a new situation: the transmissions from the AIS Beauty had ceased.

"Huh." Sam grunts, "What do you make of that Amanath?"
"I can't say, given lightlag, however, they could not yet have recieved our reply." Amanath checks some numbers on the Datasphere, "Indeed, if the cessation of transmission indicates that they left the area they would have been gone before we originally detected their signal."
"Perhaps they lost interest?" White suggests, "Or needed to resupply?"
"Or responded an earlier reply," the Shaddaran returns, "Nevertheless, it seems we were late to the party." He adds with a disappointed smile.
"I'm not giving up yet, besides," Sam says brightly, "if your hypothesis is correct the there are at least two unknown spacefaring species in the region. That is certainly of interest to the Ark Fleet."
"So you're saying were duty-bound to investigate this matter?" Amanath replies, amused that Sam always manages to find a way to satisfy his curiosity under the guise of duty.
"That's exactly what I'm saying." Sam ignores his partner's sarcasm. "Send out the FTL Stealth Probe to the estimated location of the last transmission and lets see what we can find out."

Moments later a largish probe is ejected from the Roamer scout ship, despite its decent size and proximity, not to mention the fact that they know its exact location, the ship's advanced sensors struggle to make out the device. Moments later, and with an equally minimal disturbance, the FTL Stealth Probe makes the short hop to the Beauty's last known location. Upon arrival the FSP makes its standard random evasive maneuver, just in case it is detected, then settles down to observe and report.

"Well," Sam says with a huff, "Definitely no ship in sight. Though there is an odd warp trail leading away from the location."
"Not back to Arklath though," Amanath points out, "Clearly they found something of interest."
"Guess we'll just have to find out then. Lets go retrieve our probe and then follow the trail."
"Ok," replies Amanath, "I'm going to drop off a Pulse buoy though, the Fleet needs to know what we've found."

After dropping out of FTL to retrieve the probe the Transient Atmospheric Phenomena ejects a small buoy. Once the probe is safely back aboard the ship sets off along the trail to find the wayward aliens. Some time later, when the Roamer ship is well and truly gone, the buoy sets of a single highly encrypted Pulse signal, transmitting the full records of it's parent scout ship before shutting down as the onboard 'bots reduce it to it's component elements. Sometime later, the Roamer ship has carefully tracked the AIS Beauty to a nearby location: Following standard procedure the ship stops several lighthours away to observe.

"Looks like they're meeting with that other ship." Says Amanath, as the two crew sit immersed within the Datasphere.
"Yep," Sam agrees, "and by it's energy signature it is clearly a military vessel."
"Brave of them, considering their own ship is clearly not intended as a warship."
"Sometimes you just have to take a chance." Sam declares.
"You've been getting into the fortune cookies again haven't you?" Amanath says, pinging Sam with a humourous emoticon.
"Maybe..." Sam says, before changing the subject, "Anyway, we should deploy the probe again, have it drop out a few lightminutes from the two ships and we'll see how this plays out."
"Will do."

Once again the Stealth Probe departs the scout and hops to within a few lightminutes of the two alien vessels.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!" the commander screamed as the bugs started to grab onto his gunship. He fired his beam pistol out of the hatch, which took out a few, but inevitably, all the gunships would come crashing down. The survivors would be ripped apart by the warriors, not having enough time to react. The admiral was notified of the incident, and he ordered the soldiers to rip the bugs apart. The frigates would swoop down and they fired their plasma bombs and rockets. It created huge explosions, big enough to blast through the tunnels and kill any of the Arachnids that were near. They also fired their plasma and laser cannons, which would rip the Arachnids apart. Trees near and inside the explosions were blasted apart. Meanwhile, while flying, the frigates opened their hatches. Mech walkers deployed onto the surface. The walkers activated their kinetic barrier and deflector shields, and if any of the Arachnids tried to touch them, they would be electrocuted and they would die. The walkers opened fire on the incoming Arachnids with their huge superrailguns, which could rip hundreds of Arachnids apart with each shot. They all opened fire on full auto.

Because of this, tunnelers would go underground and literally make the mechs fall through the ground, while more and more warriors fought the ground troops. In orbit, the plasma would be close,as two transport bugs would enter the system, and launch several hundred bugs, able to survive in vacuum, would act as fighters and boarding ships, some of them latching onto the ships, burrowing a hole in and releasing their cargo of warriros and other arachnids.

Furron Technocratic Military Vessel, Unaligned space,
A-4071 Light Frigate

The bridge of the ship was once again rather quiet, as most of the command cadre were on the landing deck, awaiting contact with an alien race. Many moderati accompanied them, but many also stayed behind in order to maintain the bridge.
All ship bridges followed a very similar style, namely the presence of crew pits. As the name suggests, crew pits are pits on the bridge where moderati can work at their stations while not cluttering the main floor, and so officers can oversee their progress. The existence of crew pits also allowed more consoles and displays to be placed on the main bridge floor.

Moderati Jasenx had been on station for seventy-three hours. Thanks to his augmentations, Jasenx was able to work non-stop without degradation in his bodily and cognitive abilities. His body, which was fifty-eight percent augmented, sat hunched in his seat at his sensor station along side three other sensor Moderati. Cables snaked from the back of his neck to his console, so he was able to link with the machine for better performance of not only the machine, but of himself. His mind was able to recede into the Manifold, a nonphysical world where augmented minds could meet in a realm of data. Comparable to a lucid dream, it was essentially a virtual world in it's own right.

But despite this, he was still fully dedicated to his station, along with his fellow moderati. "Jasenx, friend. Review sector 10.3B. Handor and I are receiving a miniscule sensor response. The issue is that the main visual and radio sensors refuse to pick anything up. We're getting the same readings we would receive when we find scraped and deserted ships of our make." The moderati beside Jasenx canted, relaying his message in but a second. Jasenx turned his head to the side to regard his friend with his organic eyes, and spoke. "I see no issue. Is it not a scrap heap?" He responded, and he received a flush of data through the manifold to him from Handor. "Loul and I have reached a similar consensus. This sector of space has never been charted by any of our vessels. Either we have found the remains of a vessel which never followed protocol, bless the machine spirit, or we are currently observing an anomaly of miniscule proportions." The other moderati canted, and Loul reaffirmed this with a nod of his head. "Review it yourself."

And so Jasenx did so. Four times, in fact. It was indeed an odd reading, and most definitely not a common one. "I would like to express worry." Jasenx remarked, and Loul agreed. Handor requested them to remain calm, as he ran the information through to the other bridge moderati. In just seconds, the remaining bridge crew of twelve moderati knew of the situation, and all stations were running their respective runs and detection abilities. Each station was thrown off, much to their worry. That is, until an electrical reading had reported a constant light background emissions. "Bless the spirit of the machine! Observe my findings, if you will. You can clearly make out the electrical emission, along with a thermal make out that is the smallest I have seen. The object of our inquiry is a working machine, I conclude. However, it is smaller than, I dare say, a shuttle craft." One of the moderati in the opposite crew pit of Jasenx and his friends reported through the manifold, and the moderati ate up the data like no other.

"My recommendation is to launch a probe to observe and meet this object. It may be salvageable." Another moderati remarked, and the general consensus was agreed upon.

Not a minute later, a spherical probe was launched from the ship, flying through space towards the Roamer stealth probe. The Forrun probe was host to an array of sensors, and would no doubt soon pick up what the object actually was when it was within range and report it's findings back to the light frigate.

A great ancient beast propelled through the dark expanse of space, passing planet, after planet, galaxy after galaxy, it calmly drifted through the never-ending blackness. A name? He had many, some called him a god, others a daemon, but he had no true name. A name was simply something created by the lesser races to differentiate between one another, something useless to a being with such a psychic link to their bretheren.

The being passed planets leisurely, finding comfort in the silence of space, though never feeling thecpains of lonesemness, due to it's closeness with the others. There were 11 others in fact. The 12 "Gods" of the Pantheon. They once had quite an expansive cult across the planets of this known universe, though that was eons ago, this new place was strange. There were many new civilizations, with newer, more advanced technology, this is what entrigued the beings. Largely running upon curiosity, more than anything else, the creatures explored the great expanse of space.

The Aetheris drifted through the space it considered beautiful. It's dark eyes exploring each planet itpassed as much as it could at such a distance. The lesser races wereca source if fascination to the Aetheris. They maintained such ingenuity, such potential, yet they dash it away in a heartbeat for silly qualms like war. Even so, they were quite interesting to observe, their obscure battles, over minor squabbles such as leadership or land.

The Aetheris continued on, through the great unknown...

Horde space, -0.001 AC
"All Psilaser batteries, concentrate fire on the Horde capitol ship!"
"Shields at 23.4%, falling rapidly! We have to get out of here!"
"All fighters, return to hangar bays. All ships, prepare to jump!"
As the warp drives glow blue, a laser hits the warp drive in an explosion of fire. The Sun Empire fleet teleports to the Elven homeworld. All except one...
"Damage assessment, how are we?"
"Shields are down, warp drives have taken considerable damage..."
"Where are we? This isn't-"

"We've been drawn into a gravitational pull!"
