I'd imagine the opposite is true though, where they could use your ammo in their guns
at least for emergency use, no?

The difference will be wholly irrelevant and purely academic, but it would make logical sense that if it were stemming purely from the barrel design, pump action would probably have greater accuracy due to the barrel being fixed to the receiver.

A while back, maybe in the eighth thread, there was a debate about the rate of fire of bolt action rifles, and someone said that pump action would give higher RoF. This was responded to with someone saying that pump action has low accuracy, where bolt action has high accuracy.

Bolt action is always going to be the most accurate. Compared to bolt action, anything is going to be lower in accuracy. Context, Beano, is key.

I honestly don't think I need to bother that much. The round is more or less a clone of 20mm Becker, just boat tailed.

Why does your LSW have a UGL and such a thin magazine?Purpelia wrote:I honestly don't think I need to bother that much. The round is more or less a clone of 20mm Becker, just boat tailed.

Why not just have it fold underneath?
Due to design flaws folding it underneath makes it impossible to access either the trigger, fire selector or magazine release depending on the final position of the stock. I am debating whether to go back and redesign it for a bottom folding stock, but as this weapon is designed as a Sten-like cheap, easy to produce emergency weapon I may keep it as is to show the stop-gap nature of the weapon and design a better replacement.

About the case taper. The round is basically a clone of 20mm Becker. Which was fired out of an automatic canon.

The only real differences with the case is that mine does not have a noticeable neck. Something that actually increases the case taper further. The case dimensions are the same (neck diameter = neck diameter, base diameter = base diameter). And that the rim is slightly different.

the magazine looks thin, It's not really that thin, I got the mag from that pasta thing or whatever it's called, someone else designed it, and it's in standard size, so it should be fine, I think it's based on the 'tommy gun' drum mag though.. it has a UGL because I thought the other version I have with the foregrip looked too 'skelatol', I'll get a pic when I have a new tablet.

Sorry, it's hard to see on my phone, so I just assumed the rim wasn't rebated. I think you could get away with non-rebating it.Czechovelkov wrote:the magazine looks thin, It's not really that thin, I got the mag from that pasta thing or whatever it's called, someone else designed it, and it's in standard size, so it should be fine, I think it's based on the 'tommy gun' drum mag though.. it has a UGL because I thought the other version I have with the foregrip looked too 'skeletal', I'll get a pic when I have a new tablet.
If it's based on the Thompson drum.mag, then there's a very good chance it's too thin.
UGLs should not be used on a LSW under any circumstances.
