Historically the correct term for a citizen of Cill Airne was Cill Ariochin, though this was often shortened to Cillian. Today the government recognises Cillian as an acceptable term for a citizen. The only other slang term is Airish, which is also widely accepted as being acceptable for usage - though it is considered vulgar by the government.
