Fundamental human right is better than the most important right. Ideally however I think the bill will fare better with no mention of the right to self defense. I think that we need to accept that most senators probably favor severe weapons restrictions and in order to get the bill passed I think we will have to be very sneaky about what the bill actually intends. Since most senators will probably vote without reading the whole thing I think a preamble that says something like "we understand that lax gun laws allows for abuse and dangers and we take that very seriously, but ..." would be ideal in getting votes. But if that is a tad too covert then I naturally understand it.
About the chairman election, I guess I will be the one responsible for arranging it by our new charter. So I would like to ask all prospective candidates to tg me about their candidacy as soon as possible. In the meantime I will work out a plan for how we are going to do this and post it tomorrow, I hope thats cool.
