Bio: Started playing three years ago at second division Arabic Rovers. He then helped them to prmotion and move to Vale F.C and has been second best goaly in Toiletdonia since.

[Tyrrin]

The Tyrrinian National Football Team
Tyrrin is a nation of great military tradition, and all of the team’s members serve in the armed forces for part of the year, as required by law for able-bodied citizens. This makes them highly disciplined and cohesive, even in the toughest of situations. After many years of qualification runs, the Stallions (as they are now nicknamed) finally qualified for the World Cup proper in World Cup 49. They hope to repeat this success in World Cup 50. Their coach, Gen. Graig Montcalve, is also a senior advisor to the Emperor, and after four World Cup runs, he knows his way around the game.

Remembrance Park is the home stadium of Tyrrin's top club team, Tyrrin Royale. It is located just north of downtown Tyrrin.

Ainsley Emir GK
Club: Mertag F.C.
6’5” 195
Emir is one of the foremost goalkeepers in Tyrrin, and he frequently makes acrobatic saves, which are followed by screams of joy in celebration. Angus Aulay has finally retired from football, leaving Emir as the keeper. Emir is intent on keeping this starting job, and has been playing at a very high rate leading up to the Cup.

Gabr Islay
Club: Tyrrin Royale
6’4” 200
A longtime starter for Tyrrin Royale, Islay really stepped it up last season. He became one of the top keepers in the league, and earned a spot on the national team. With the absence of Willem on Royale, Islay had to increase his performance. It is unlikely that he will challenge Emir for the starting job, however.


Defenders
Tjaard Fedde CB
Club: Tyrrin Royale
6’4” 180
Fedde is an incredibly smart defender. He is able to spot plays developing, and he puts himself in a perfect position to make a stop. He has developed a reputation for playing his best against the toughest of opponents. He is now one of the veteran members of the Stallions, and he marshals their back line. He has also been known to trash talk through the media on occasion, especially against higher ranked teams. He is a native of Foroch.

Melvyn Shahar CB
Club: AFC Hollybrent (Osarius)
6’0” 167
Shahar is Neil Colin’s replacement for World Cup 50. He has played out most of his career in Osarius for AFC Hollybrent, and has developed a reputation as a sure tackler and a speedy defender. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had much exposure in Tyrrin, so he is not much of a fan favorite.

Yavuz Aonghas RB
Club: Hainac (Unreal229)
6’3” 168
Aonghas is a strong player on the right, and he excels at shutting down crosses. He plays for Hainac in Unreal229 and has been successful there. His father was killed when Mount Oklo erupted when he was young.

Scott Pierrick LB
Club: Foroch Raiders
5’11” 162
Pierrick is the son of the famous actress Lea Pierrick, who died when he was a small child. He grew up in the moviemaking district of Coranto. Thus, the media heavily covers him, and his accomplishments on the field are generally overlooked. He looks forward to keeping his starting job for the Stallions, as his play has been consistently good.

Marty Ruaridh
Club: Kowa Foresters
6’7” 192
Ruaridh is finally completely healthy for a cup, and the Stallions expect to get full production out of him. He is given much of the credit for getting the Foresters out of last in the Tyrrinian domestic league.

Arne Duke
Club: Oclia Mariners
6’1” 174
Duke has built a reputation as a tough and gritty defender. He won’t back down from a challenge, either on the field or off it. Unfortunately, his style of play has earned him his fair share of yellow and red cards, and he has injured several players. He lead the league in red cards last season.

Midfielders

Suleiman Donnchadh CM
Club: Cruzeiro do Sul (Cafundeu)
6’2” 165
Donnchadh is an excellent defender, and will often be put on the other team’s best midfielder. He also has a lethal left foot from long range. He now plays in Cafundeu for Cruzeiro do Sul. Both Donnchadhs grew up in Racaw, where they played football in the dusty streets under the hot desert sun.

Wayne Ata RM
Club: Oclia Mariners
6’6” 172
Ata is a brilliant ball handler, which he demonstrates as he streaks down the sidelines. At 36, he is one of the most experienced Tyrrinian players, and now that Savas is gone, he captains the midfield along with Donnchadh. He earned a medal of valor with the 13th Air Cavalry for bravery in combat in Terthia.

Lorenz Raimondo LM
Club: Hainac (Unreal229)
5’11” 174
Raimondo is a fantastic dribbler, as he will display frequently. He is also excellent at delivering the long ball into the box. He became the setup man for Willem during the last World Cup. He is a very vocal member of the team, and he is only improving his game. Expect more goals to come from Raimondo this time around.

Rio Fortunado RAM
Club: Racaw FC
6'4" 201
Fortunado is a very talented midfielder, especially with the ball at his feet. After Fionnlagh’s great play last cup, he was able to get a starting job because of Savas’ retirement. He is highly capable of goal scoring, and will become another setup man for Willem along with Raimondo and Fionnlagh. He is looking to transfer to a foreign club after the World Cup.

Alan Fionnlagh LAM
Club: Tyrrin Royale
6’3” 170
Fionnlagh is responsible for setting up Willem on Royale, so he is expected to do the same on the national team. He communicates excellently with Tyrrin’s star striker. However, he has been off form lately, so expect Fortunado to come in at some point for him, and maybe even take the starting job. He served with the 11th Transport Division.

Deandre Rodrigo
Club: Mertag F.C.
5’9” 161
Rodrigo is a defensive midfielder who will probably be coming off the bench for Donnchadh late in games. He had a very good domestic season for Mertag, and helped them earn a second place finish in the league. Rodrigo is known to be cool under pressure, and rarely makes a mistake.

Greg Elias
Club: Coranto F.C.
5’9” 152
Elias is usually brought on late in games because of his speed and versatility in the midfield. He is also a superb penalty taker.

Ludwig Yasen
Club: Foroch Raiders
6’9” 202
Yasen has now established himself on the international team, and he comes from the harsh north of Iclyrri. He is a rising star for the Raiders, and led them in scoring last season. He played well off the bench for Tyrrin in the 48th World Cup.

Strikers
Michael Willem S (Captain)
Club: Ousevale Borough (Krytenia)
6’5” 191
In the offseason, Willem signed with Krytenian giant Ousevale Borough for a Tyrrinian record $37 million. He has broken every record in the books over his career, averaging over four goals per game. His amazing ball handling skills are matched only by his finishing ability, with his feet or his head. He has a knack for avoiding defenders, even when they are deliberately trying to foul him, and he has never been seriously injured. Willem was Tyrrin’s top goal scorer in the last two world cups, and he will continue to be Tyrrin’s main weapon.

Hugh Folami
6’2” 187
Club: Lok Kawi (Jesselton)
Folami is an experienced striker, who now has experience in foreign football as well. He is very good fundamentally, but doesn't have the flair of some of the other Tyrrinian strikers. This doesn't stop him from netting his share of goals.

Bernard Brecht
Club: Iclyrri Icebirds
6’1” 164
Brecht is another young talent, and he led his team in goals. Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean much, because the Icebirds only ever play defense. He is close to his full potential for the Icebirds, and showed that he is maturing in his ability. If Tyrrin is starting to run the score up, he will be the one who comes on to prevent an injury to Willem.

Managerial team:

Manager: Ronald Caesar. He is the most successful modern manager of all time in the country, and his titles include winning the PELSF Football Championships a grand total of 7 times, three of them came with Benton FC during his first time as manager. The other four came as part of the quad-triple, which has only occurred once in PELSF region so far. This involves one team taking the National League, the National Cup and the PELSF Football Champioships for four times in a row. He also managed the Half Boy and Copportopia national teams, and both teams won the PELSF IF Trophy.

Team: (although I will most of the time post a team line-up for each match, so use that first). Starters are in bold. (Ages are as of WC qualifying, which here takes one year. Add one for WC itself, not that we'll get there, or the Cup of Harmony).

Strikers:
Dylan Bell (CF), vice-captain: plays for RGS Athletic, scored in the final of the PSF Football Championships in Aswan and Syrene. He is one of the three most deadly strikers in the current Empire, and with 17 goals, we can expect some more. Age: 29
Shabeen Ahmad Jnr (CF and WF): plays for RGS Athletic, he was one of the rising stars of the youth league and cup competitions, Shabeen Ahmad Jnr has penned a contract that made him the youngest footballer to turn professional in the top flight. Top scorer for the international team so far. Age: 24
Chris Lau (CF and WF): plays for RGS Athletic. He rarely plays in the national team, but is itching to get away from his bench role at his club team to play first team somewhere else. Age: 27
Adam Johnson (WF): Plays for WB Albion. First team at home, he does have a bit of flair, but still has quite a good eye for opportunities, albeit the fact that he has never scored as of yet. Age: 23
Sameer Ahmad (CF and L&R MF): plays for Cleopatrana FC in Delaclava, record signing for the 2nd Divison side St. Bartholomew Wanderers; 2nd Divison player of the year twice. He was dropped from the starting line-up halfway thorugh the previous WC due to his lack of goals (3 compared to his brother's 19). He is overshadowed by his brother, but has found a move away from VLC FC to prove his worth. Age: 26

Midfielders:
James Tarpy (L&R MF, DMF,can also play WF): plays for NT United. Does play in quite a few positions, but his usual position is on the flank. He is quite a tall player, at 192 cm tall, but he hates using his head unless he finds himself inside the box somehow. Age: 29
James Scott (all of midfield): plays for FM Town.
Daniel Scott (all of midfield): plays for FM Town. These two are twins (not identical, thankfully) and they both play for the same team, so there is a lot of competition between these two for a chance to score and outplay the other. Both are 28 years old.
Ben Maddison (L&R MF, AMF, can also play in WF): plays for SS City. Voted Fairest Player of the season at least three times, whilst playing for a multitude of clubs, with five teams taking him on loan for half a season. He hasn't actually chosen which team to play for yet, but he is sticking with SS City at the moment, considering they are the first team to sign him and they did that just recently. Age: 23
Thomas O'Henly (all of midfield): plays for St. Bartholomew Wanderers. At 19 years of age, this kid is the youngest player in the team, but still hasn't played in the top flight. He's only here due to his potential.
Alex Gallagher (all of midfield): plays for SS City.
Jack Gallagher (all of midfield): plays for Macaronia FC. Another set of twins, identical this time, and also a set of really bad troublemakers. Combined these two have had five times as many more cards than the rest of the players in the team combined. In seven out of ten matches one of these two play, there is a yellow card involved. One in every twenty matches ends up with one of these two being sent off. Ages: 23
Kyle Etherington (L&R MF): plays for NT United. Quite the opposite of the above two. He hasn't had a card in his life, yet 19% of the opposition players who tackle him get a red card. The percentage may look small, but still significant. He has quick feet, and can move the ball around basically anyone. Not very team-minded on the other hand, so is a bit of a ball hog. Age: 25

Defenders:
Matthew Lawrence (LB), Captain: voted Player of the Tournament in PSF Football Championships in A & S, plays for RGS Athletic. He has captained the club to many domestic titles, but seems to be struggling this season. Maybe because he's getting on in years, but he has announced that he will consider retiring from international football before WC 51 qualifying. Age: 30
David Patterson (RB and CB): plays for WB Albion. The tall man at the back, but he is also a very good weightlifter. Geoff Wood (CB): plays for UR Town. Little is known about this ex-criminal turned football star. He was done for shoplifting, drugs, murder and desertion from the army, but all in different countries. This guy is technically a citizen of around 500 nations, so he could hide away in any one of them. Now he has a tracking chip drilled into his skull, so he can't hide for long. Still, he does appear around incidents in foreign changing rooms when something gets stolen. Age: 27
Dimitar Klitschko (all of defence): plays for Lamarckists. Rumour has it that he is a zombie, but one thing is for sure; there was a Dimitar Klitschko born more than a century before the onset of the first World Cup, and he had no death certificate. And this Dimitar has no birth certificate, so no-one knows how old he is. He is quite fast and agile, but he could just have tons of operations done on him. Age: probably in the 300's, no-one really knows.
Leonardo Williams (LB and RB): plays for Monksville United. Cousin of Westmeadow Tavern center forward Emily Williams, but they play at nearly the opposite ends of the pitch. When playing against each other, he has injured her once, and that was quite a small injury she got. Still, he does get involved in the game, even if it means that he slides a lot in an attempt to get the ball. Age: 25
John Irvine (LB and RB): plays for Macaronia FC. This guy demands money every time someone forces him to speak. This does present some problems on the pitch, so he isn't that effective when it comes to teamwork. Still, he is one of the richest players on the team. Age: 28
Wayne Brookes (All of defence): plays for UR Town. He was voted Debuting Player of the Year after Shabeen Ahmad Jnr was awarded it. But nowadays, he lacks vitality, probably because he plays with a bionic arm and leg, but this does give him a ferocious tackle, often breaking other players legs in the course of doing his job. When he does take a shot at the other end, it usually forces everyone to get out of the way, but it also makes holes in the back of the net, and is too fast for some referees to see, so that's why he's only scored one recorded goal. Age: 23

Goalkeepers:
Aidan Jagger: plays for WB Albion. He has scored a goal in the last World Cup, but this was just down to pure luck (at least everyone hopes it was). One of the star goalies in the squad, he has proved himself to be reliable, time and time again (except from that one point where he accidentally threw the ball into his own net). Age: 26
Matthew Barnet: plays for Sparta U Gladiators in Kalasion. A reserve goalie who is, more often than not, is likened to as the perennial bench warmer. Age: 23
Bennett Wood: plays for RGS Athletic. This guy has done a great job in being the last line of defense for the country's top club team, but this season his team haven't done a great deal up front negating his fine work at the back. Age: 28

CCFM RELEASES THE LIST OF TEAM MEMBERS OF THE MONOPOLISTS FOR THE 50TH WORLD CUP

This time, we forgot all the nonsense of sending 26 players to the qualifiers and then choosing 23 to go to the WC proper… no, we’ll do something different… we will call 30 players for the qualifiers! But, in the end, the CCFM has already chosen the main 23… have them? Players numbered 1 to 23 are more likely to go to the WC, but this time we won’t guarantee anything. The 6 backup players are still listed, but they won’t play… yes, this is certain.

The Wall is once again our enemy, but Cafundéu wants to not only surpass it, but win all the games after it… simple, isn’t it? Well, it has become an obsession of all the Cafundelenses to surpass the quarterfinal stage, something only done once in the history of the National Team, but Starblaydia destroyed our title hopes in the final that time. Winning the stage, anything can happen, and why not a title?

(IMPORTANT: use the names in BOLD of my players when writing your RPs [if they are involved], please, as these are the names that they use when playing [the names in their shirts], don’t use their full name [unless it is the bolded one], as most have big full names and the Cafundelenses use nicknames exactly due to this situation. This and the observation below are the only 2 things that I ask about this issue)

When writing a name of one of my players in your RP, write like you would write a name for any other player [don’t forget to use the one in bold]. Height: 186cm - Weight: 85kg – Age: 27 years old
Garrido has ever been considered a very talented goalkeeper, but his rise to the National Team was extremely quick and surprising. Abandoned by SC Lasft, his first club, Garrido was forced to play for minor teams until getting a place in Atlético Jutense after the retirement of Gerrin Sidan, and didn't leave the position since then. He is a dedicated keeper, modest and efficient. Outside the field, it is hard to hear something interesting about Garrido, although he is known for participating in some charity programs and events, especially for people with deficiencies, as his wife is blind.

Height: 196cm – Weight: 77kg – Age: 24 years old
The truly crazy Cafundelense goalkeeper receives his chance in the National Team. With a nice career so far, earning a contract to Ranca Toco, Melkezedeck is a person who loves to appear in front of the cameras, on and outside the pitch. When playing, he jumps even in the balls he won’t be able to reach, makes impressive moves that have little practical value… but at least he knows when to do these moves, he’ll never do one of them in a bad timing. Outside the field, Melkezedeck loves to get involved in controversies, especially related to the football rules.

22- FELIPE Aramis McCosten (Team: Internacional de Penderia)
Height: 188cm - Weight: 76kg – Age: 25 years old
It is always encouraged for the Cafundéu National Team to bring a player from a minor team to the National Team, hoping to stimulate his development. Felipe is one of these cases. In the National Team in a young age, he isn’t a world class level goalkeeper, but he is seen as a bright star for the Monopolist Empire. Tall and quick, this goalkeeper is excellent on the air, and good at using the feet too. His biggest disadvantage is when he has to leave the goal: sometimes he end doing huge mistakes. He is very devoted to his family, putting pictures of them behind his goalposts before every half.

2- Guilhermino Marcon RADICCI (Team: Cafundó do Juta)
Height: 163cm – Weight: 68kg – Age: 28 years old
Look at what happens when you have too many players of one position and too few of another. Radicci originally played as a left-back, a position he played as in Di Bradini Cup teams and in domestic football. But, due to the huge amount of left-backs in the NT, he had to adapt his football to enter in the Monopolists as a right-back. This seems to have worked, although sometimes Radicci finds difficulties in controlling the ball in the right wing. But his talent in crossing and in making solo runs compensates this fact. It is almost sure that Radicci is the fastest-developing player of this squad. He also loves to drink wine and to eat barbecue.

14- JULIANO Mello Paixão (Team: Porto Lacruz)
Height: 173cm – Weight: 67kg – Age: 25 years old
The introduction of Juliano in the National Team comes with the CCFM’s strategy to produce a small “purge” in the National Team after the horrible campaign in WC48. Some important players gave space to promising talents, and Juliano is one of the best of these. Extremely fast and excellent with passes, Juliano is more important as an attacking weapon than in defence. He can’t win aerial battles, and finds it difficult to mark opponents. Outside the field, Juliano became famous after participating in a movie even before he was a player, when he was still a child. The movie was a success and for a long while he was seen as a talented young actor, but he didn’t have much acting chances after that.

31- Celso Fábio Williams MESQUITA (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 182cm – Weight: 79kg – Age: 25 years old
An interesting alternative to the full-back position, Mesquita is a player who can play on both sides of the pitch, although he really is more suited as a left-back. Differently than most Cafundelense full-backs, Mesquita is better defensively, being a good option to secure the wings from opponent attacks, whilst sacrificing the so valued offensive moves from the wings… at least valued by Cafundelenses. Mesquita does his job right, but isn’t the kind of player to receive many trophies and prizes. An option, and we doubt he’ll go to the WC.

6- Tarso Matheus COTUBA (Team: Marquez-Onwere [C&M])
Height: 176cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 32 years old
A smart player, Cotuba is a player that loves to go to the attack, and is good in dribbling and excellent at passing, being good at making assists too. But, as no one is perfect, his crossings are usually horrible. Outside the field, he was a person known for drinking too much in parties, and sometimes demands too much from his team mates. But his closest friends say that this only happens because he works hard to improve the team’s situation. Recently, he stopped drinking and smoking, choosing guaraná instead of alcohol, and got dedicated more to his career and family. These lifestyle changes coincided exactly with the moment when Cotuba finally received the position of top left-back of the Cafundelense NT, something which he waited for a long time due to the presence of Renildo.

16- Germano Capixaba Mathias BATORÉ (Team: A.F.F.)
Height: 185cm - Weight: 82kg – Age: 29 years old
Batoré is often seen as just a hard-working player, one who can shine thanks to dedication and team work. But there is more in this player. Batoré is brilliant in understanding tactics and in field vision, being able to instantly notice the better way and place to put a pass. It is rare for Batoré to score a goal, but fairly common to see he involved in one. In defence, Batoré also does a good work, especially at man marking, being very annoying for the attackers. Batoré has a huge scar in his left cheek, and is very talented at telling jokes and imitating other people, and he loves to imitate Breno Gavião or The Scout.

3- Armando RODRÍGUEZ (Team: Porto Lacruz)
Height: 185cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 26 years old
Surely one of the most devoted players of Cafundéu, one that plays without any other worries during the ninety minutes. Rodríguez seems to be obsessed for the ball, never giving up even after he is dribbled. Sometimes he gets angry with the opponent attackers, and usually he finds a way to send the opponent on the ground when this happens. Rodríguez is a true defender, who rarely goes to the attack, and tireless when marking, following the opponent even after the game to the dressing room or the team party, or even to the attacker’s bed with the wife or husband. Is known for investing in cultural projects.

4- WILLIAM Silva Jerônimo (Team: Albrecht FC [CAM])
Height: 181cm - Weight: 77kg – Age: 30 years old
After some impressive games in the youth team of Clube Imperial, the player got involved in a transfer with Albrecht FC, and since then only conquered fans and success in his new team. William is excellent in tackles. He hardly fouls his opponent, and hardly misses a tackle, being able to challenge even the best dribbler. He is also very good at heading the ball, but only in defensive situations – he isn’t a good player in attacking. Usually is played as the most defensive field player, and works well in this place. Outside the field, loves to hear country music and often travels back to Cafundéu to visit his parents’ farm. As he lives now in Candelaria And Marquez, he is more famous there, and got married with a famous volleyball player of that country. With Alves leaving the NT, William becomes the new team captain.

13- Antônio Louzada Viana "TONHÃO" (Team: Ranca Toco)
Height: 192cm – Weight: 100kg – Age: 26 years old
Strong. Violent. Tough. Tall. Cold. Tonhão is the typical “monster defender”. Excellent at taking the ball from the opponents using the most different tactics, from accurate tackles to the simple act of running over the player of the opponent team, Tonhão is the true defensive defender in defence. Doesn’t go to the attack, even though he could be a valuable player in aerial plays. Dislikes having to attack. But this, after all, isn’t bad, as he is so good in defending. As it was said, Tonhão is sometimes a violent player, and he is also one who gets angry easily. But, as few players have the courage to provoke him, usually the opponent team doesn’t use this fact on their favour.

20- VÍTOR Sorrah MARTINS (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 73kg – Age: 25 years old
Another player of Cafundéu who has been trained to be a top footballer since his youth, participating in most of the youngsters’ National Teams of the country. Even though his experience in these teams hadn’t been very good, with him constantly losing first team status, in the professional domestic squad he developed into a fine defender, one who is good with the ball on feet. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have the same determination of the other defenders of this National Team, and determination is one of the top qualities by any player of the Monopolists. When he is not playing, Vítor Martins is constantly called to go to parties, given his friendly and charismatic nature.

Height: 170cm – Weight: 72kg – Age: 24 years old
Bruno Pinto is really a promising player, but one who will have problems in entering the team that will go to the World Cup only because he didn’t get enough starting games in his club. Things are changing now, but too late for this cup. He surely will get many chances in the future. Bruno Pinto is a solid defender who is an expert at marking, hardly losing his opponent from his area of view. He is a bit clumsy too, and can trip opponents without noticing. He has some influential relatives, and won many chances thanks to them.

Height: 171cm – Weight: 70kg – Age: 29 years old
A player that truly enjoys his profession. Werner is someone who loves to stay in concentration with the team, closed in a hotel for days; to train everyday; to sign autographs for the fans… he enjoys football, and values this lifestyle more than everything, and the money that comes with it. As a player, he works as a second defensive midfielder, with more freedom to go to the attacks, mostly due to his ability in controlling the ball and making precise passes… as he isn’t good in marking and hates to be stuck with orders and pre-set strategies. Outside the pitch, he has an unstable humour, but mostly the times very sarcastic.

Height: 171cm – Weight: 67kg – Age: 27 years old
Mané has been playing for Petardos S/A since the youth teams, and seems satisfied with the substitute role, as he often gets playing time for being a very trustworthy person and good at holding the ball and strictly following tactics. Excellent at marking opponents and finding openings for long passes, his job in the National Team will follow the one in Petardos: hold the ball, mark a specific player tightly and clearing the ball when there is danger. A fine choice for this position, he does this unlike any other. Outside the field, rarely talks with the media, although he appeared once in a cooking show and was a success.

Height: 178cm - Weight: 78kg – Age: 23 years old
A player who was considered the real wonderkid of the country, as he was called to the U-21 National Team when he had only 15 years of age, a record in the Monopolists. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t playing in top clubs, failing to get the same football quality from his team mates. Some transfers helped him to improve, and now he finally got his chance of going to the National Team, although he has serious concurrence for the spot. Newton is very perfectionist, wants his moves to be done exactly the way he predicted, and he usually manages this using his excellent vision of game and positioning.

25- MARCO AURÉLIO Braga Santimônia (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 164cm – Weight: 61kg – Age: 22 years old
Got the shirt 25 only because of his age, but the truth is that he is looking forward to a position in the World Cup squad. Marco Aurélio is a versatile midfielder, but with Cafundéu filled with top offensive players, he fits well in a defensive position. Already known and praised for his excellent ball control and ability to make accurate through passes, Marco Aurélio is a lethal weapon in the attack too. In the defence, uses his talents to intercept balls and predict the moves of his opponents. Marco Aurélio is also famous for his great respect for opponents, and will never get involved in a fight or battle of words.

8- Luís da Costa Figueroa "LUISINHO" (Team: Cafundó do Juta)
Height: 168cm – Weight: 66kg – Age: 26 years old
An often underrated player of the new generation in Cafundéu. During his whole career, Luisinho was seen as just a piano carrier for Central United, but as time passed it became impossible to not recognize his immense talent. Now with a transfer to Cafundó do Juta, the versatile midfielder won a chance as a starter of the National Team in his first call-up to the main squad. Luisinho is a good passer, knows how to handle the tempo of the game and to provoke opponents too! He hates to argue with the referee, but at the same time he hates the referees. Outside the field, Luisinho often is caustic when talking with reporters, although most people that know his say he is an extremely nice person.

Height: 171cm – Weight: 68kg – Age: 27 years old
An alternative to main players, it will be difficult for Diego to do much else from that. Clearly not at the same level of the best players of the Cafundelense team, Diego is a good player with an interesting dribbling ability and capacity to make precise crossings. With a transfer to Daehanjeiguk, Diego can manage to get more attention, as his team is in much better form than his former one, and he can maintain his position in the National Team. Besides being a football player, Diego also owns some training centres for poor kids.

Height: 170cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 26 years old
Hmm, I guess this is a proof that choosing thirty players wasn’t so easy after all. Not that Pingo is a bad player, but to give him a National Team shirt… perhaps the CCFM wanted to restrict the amount of players playing abroad in this team, as I could count at least 3 good options playing in other nations. Well, let’s go on to Pingo. He is a fine midfielder, whose specialty is a fast game. He is very fast, moves with the ball quickly and can be very important in counterattacks… well, maybe his choice isn’t so bad after all, because this can be an useful talent.

10- MIGUEL Duarte SILVA (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 182cm - Weight: 80kg – Age: 29 years old
He was taught to be a top football player. Since his infancy, Miguel Silva played in Clube Imperial’s football school, an idea of his father who loves football. Miguel had to divide school and football, being obligated to give a lot of importance to both, something that made him not fully enjoy his youth, without being able to spend a lot of time playing with friends, as he had obligations. Now, Miguel Silva is a very cold and technical player, who is excellent at individual plays but at the same time was called the “king of assists” in Clube Imperial, his former team, which he left to join the Billionaires of Petardos S/A, and then traded for Marcus Vinícius, ending in Dunboor FC.

11- RUBIANO de Paula Castañeda (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 175cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 23 years old
Yes, shirt number of a starter, rating given by the so-called experts of a star. Is Rubiano all they say he is? Honestly, of all the higher rated players in this squad, Rubiano is the less complete of them. But yes, he has all the talent to do a good job for Cafundéu, and deserves his position. Rubiano got a starting position in Atlético Jutense with less than 20 years of age, and soon many people were asking for his participation with the Monopolists. Great at dribbling and long ranged shots, he also can surprise opponent defenses with good crossings.

17- Derlei Frizzi DA COSTA (Team: Clube Comercial)
Height: 162cm - Weight: 63kg – Age: 23 years old
A player who was unlucky to not catch the attention of the major clubs of Cafundéu, which surely harmed his popularity. Starting his career in Metropolitano, he played for SC Lasft for many seasons before getting a move to Clube Comercial. With this, he failed to get more media exposure, and it was believed he wouldn’t be called after all. Surprisingly, Caldas remembered him and gave him a chance, which is his gold chance to prove his talent. Da Costa has a creativity and ability with the ball few have… but this isn’t a circus show, so he’ll have to use his talent wisely.

30- ADAMÍLSON Pedra Júnior (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 168cm – Weight: 66kg – Age: 24 years old
Adamílson and his fans were always expecting a chance in the National Team, but it might be a bit frustrating that this chance came with him being having less chances than Rubiano and Da Costa, as when the three started playing Adamílson was considered the most talented of the three. Among them, Adamílson is the one who can do a better link with the attackers, even acting as a supporting forward. He also scores more goals, and will frequently invade the opponent area. But he is also very hard to command, as he doesn’t respect his coaches or follow orders… this happened once with a police officer too, and this ended in a cool night in jail.

7- César Valtan GUTIÉRREZ (Team: Ranca Toco)
Height: 177cm – Weight: 75kg – Age: 25 years old
A talented attacker who relies on speed to reach the goal. Gutiérrez isn’t a player who shoots with strength or manages to make impressively technical moves, but he can dribble well and run much better. When it comes for a playmaker to pass into space to him, nearly no defender can outpace him in the dispute for the ball. This is what makes Gutiérrez so praised, and he is expected to play a lot for the National Team. Even in young age, he is a very experienced player, having played even in Daehanjeiguk before the collapse of the league. Due to this Gutiérrez still has problems in correctly speaking Portuguese, mixing it sometimes with the Han language.

Height: 176cm – Weight: 72kg – Age: 26 years old
The most promising Cafundelense football player since Alves, Rafael Nunes first appeared in the middle of a season, playing for Metropolitano. It didn’t take long for him to impress everyone with his goal instinct, and to be named the top youngster of the league. From that, he got participations in DBC teams and a deal to Cafundó do Juta, where he now awaits for more chances to play. About his abilities, he is a natural dribbler, capable of acting really fast and making the most creative and/or necessary dribbles and moves. Also, his goal instinct is excellent, helping him to position himself always where the ball is going to.

18- JEAN CARLO Álamo Gimenez (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 192cm – Weight: 85kg – Age: 25 years old
A player with practically no weakness… but no real strong points too. Jean Carlo knows how to do a bit of everything: he can head well, shoot, dribble, pass, even tackle… but doesn’t shine in any of these areas. But, due to being such a complete player, he turns out to be a very talented one. Jean Carlo is also known for being very opportunist, appearing out of nowhere to the right place to get the ball or shoot it to score a goal. Outside the footballing scene, Jean Carlo is famous for being a member of an influential family, which is member of the Cafundelense nobility.

23- WELTON Guimarães (Team: Mercia Bromham [KRY])
Height: 171cm – Weight: 68kg – Age: 25 years old
Everyone knew that Welton was going to be called for the National Team in this World Cup. He would be a starter for Petardos S/A right now, but an earlier transfer sent him to Krytenia, when he expects to make a huge impact. A lethal finisher, Welton is this: a finisher. He won’t create tons of moves or assists, but will certainly score if the opportunity appears. Surprisingly, he is also pretty good in giving defensive support to the team, helping whenever needed. And he is also good at diving too, surely a helpful talent. Welton is usually very demanding, and can even refuse to train if his employers don’t give him what he want: a captain’s armband, a better salary, starting position, more praise, a rest day… but when he receives everything he asks, he surely compensates all the effort others give to him by playing quality football.

27- ABELARDO Ramos Garcia (Team: Petardos S/A)
Height: 182cm - Weight: 85kg - Age: 24 years old
Abelardo had a meteoric ascension in his career so far. He never featured in youth’s best teams, and was playing for Cruzeiro do Sul, without getting the media’s attention. A transfer to Petardos S/A would just send him to the bench but, with the retirements of Alves and Kiso Night and the transfer of Welton, he got a starting position in the biggest team of the country, and has so far played very well, earning this position in the National Team. Abelardo is a very complete attacker, but unfortunately he doesn’t have a specialty in any area… is good all-around, but not excellent.

Oh yes, Gilmar was called too. An experienced player in the Cafundelense Segundona, his performance for Nova Éden has been really impressive, and he got a move to SC Lasft, when he showed a level of football as high as the one of some of the most praised attackers of the league. So, with thirty years of age, Gilmar receives his first opportunity to play international football, as he has never played for youth NTs or domestic international competitions.

The right and expected choice of the CCFM, as Waldenyr Caldas won nearly all the titles he could in the last two seasons with Petardos S/A. Commanding an all-star team, he did well and became to be known as the best coach in Cafundéu, which conveniently excludes National Team coaches as Renário and Braddock. Waldenyr Caldas is a very humorous person, loves to make jokes of opponents, but is serious during the game, getting nervous easily with mistakes of his players. His tactics are very fluid, he encourages versatility and creativity, but hates when the team holds the ball for a long time. Now that he is in the National Team, he is making claims that he is the saviour of Cafundéu, and the one who will do the feat of staying in the job for a long time. Well, he is a good coach, at least.

Assistant Coach: Ignacio VÉLEZ
Height: 175cm - Weight: 78kg - Age: 50 years old
When Ganz Ijak left the Cafundelense National Team to be a member of Franz Braddock's staff in Sarzonia's NT, the CCFM went desperately after a substitute for the WC Hall of Fame member. Reinaldo Franco took the job temporarily, while the CCFM made a deal with the CMSC, which would indicate the name for the job. In the end, the name of Ignacio Vélez was the most approved one, due to the former player's experience in the Cafundelense league, where he played for many seasons in Cafundó do Juta, being one of the top attackers of the league when his team was one of the dominating forces. In the team, as he doesn't have much coaching experience, Vélez is going to give support to Veiga, although he has a different way to motivate the players, with parties and nights out. He is also aiming to help some of younger players as, aftehe retired, he went to work as Cafundó do Juta's youth team coach.

One of the directors of Banco Econômico, and the one who wasn’t involved with anything sports-related until getting this position. C.Pinguço is in the Han Empire, Santa is handling finances all around the world, I.Newton checking negotiations in Candelaria And Marquez, D.Lama in other leagues, J.Lennon checking for investment opportunities… Banco Econômico, member of the AUGECC, had to participate in the CCFM somewhere. And they managed to include one of their directors as the NT’s administrative manager, handling the non-football aspects of the team. Santos is friendly and loves to make jokes, and loves to spend money too! Sometimes he’ll throw away money, in the form of small airplanes made of a vintém note.

Spy/Scout: Mikklos IRVINZ
Height: 190cm - Weight: 88kg – Age: 38 years old
Don’t tell me that Irvinz has reached the National Team. He did. Mikklos Irvinz became famous for his appearances in the media during the time which he was supposed to be a secret spy for Petardos S/A. He got involved with bribing people, trying sabotage attempts against opponents, getting drunk and travelling 100km by feet looking to get to Wonderland… nothing serious. He also was a producer of porn videos and private detective before getting involved with football. He just wasn’t fired from Petardos S/A because he is immensely competent, hardly failing in a job and very good for spotting talents. And this ability sent him to the National Team, but he must be cautious.

Physical Trainer: Valério LUTZ
Height: 178cm - Weight: 72kg – Age: 52 years old
Vratten was fired after being involved in a doping scandal, and for his place the main physical trainer of Petardos S/A, Valério Lutz, was called. Known for forcing the players to work very hard even when they seem tired, Lutz end making the players extremely resistant, being difficult for them to get injured. Now in the National Team, Lutz’s objective is to introduce this same style for the Monopolists.

When the CCFM replaced the whole staff of the Cafundelense NT, people believed that finally they would get rid of Serginho Mallandro. Big mistake. Serginho left, but in his place his son, Mallandro Filho, was called. He tells the same jokes his father did, and the same phrases and funny (or at least intended to be funny) comments, as the “Glu-glu” and “Bilu-bilu tetéia” ones. The majority of the population used to love him (before his jokes became repetitive), but the players of the National Team are likely to try to assault him after each of his jokes.

Doctor: DR. Bárbara LIKHALIN
Height: 160cm - Weight: 48kg – Age: 43 years old
Honestly, no one really cares about the doctor of the National Team. The last one was easily replaced and few people noted his absence. Now, the doctor is Bárbara Likhalin, with experience in treating football players. She also has a good knowledge as a nutritionist, though this won’t be her main activity in the team. With Lutz as physical trainer, it is believe she won’t have much work to do.

Elected to be the President of the CCFM during the World Cup 49 qualifiers, in a widely discussed situation, The Scout is now the lead of Cafundelense football, and is getting involved in a lot of things that the CCFM President usually didn’t. The Scout became famous worldwide when he was the official scout of the CCFM, the first during its international era. It was a long time ago. In World Cup 39, the Landau Institute, representing the whole country of Estresse Intenso at that time, had a difficult qualifying stage. No, we can’t say this. This team has nothing to do with that Estresse Intenso team, because we aren’t Estresse Intenso. We are the Landau Institute, which is a part of it, truly, but a very special part. We alone can be considered a true society, a true nation, although not an official one.

So let’s restart. In World Cup 39, our doctors and patients of the Landau Institute that were in the Estresse Intenso team faced many difficulties. The qualification for the World Cup, as happened in WC36, was far away, and the team was even losing its home games in the Sector-Delta Sporting Field. But the final blow that completely destroyed the motivated of the Institute members was the illness of The Machine, the team’s coach. Constructed to lead the team to glory, by Pascal Caelaphyluso, a mystical person from the Dreamed Realm, The Machine, which was built with common mechanical objects, including the oven that represented his body, became more human as time passed, and ended suffering a serious illness due to this, which ended bringing him to death by the end of the qualifiers. After that, Estresse Intenso could even finish second in the Cup of Harmony, but that was the end of the team. The Machine’s death led Estresse Intenso to announce its retirement from the World Cup, giving space to the Independent Territory of Terreiro de Ogum, which had an average performance in the World Cup.

But now it is time for Landau Institute to really enter in the World Cup, no more representing a failed country, no more carrying a flag that isn’t ours! It is time for the Institute to play football representing all the doctors and patients of our island. And we have the right players and the right staff for it... including our coach, our biggest motivator and leader in this competition, the one that will give us all the hints for success. Now that we are playing as ourselves, the Landau Institute, we have to show the world the ability of our habitants, doctors and patients, united in a new team, revived from the ashes of Estresse Intenso!

Age: 46
Occupation: member of Cardiology department - common patients’ area
Bio: Maldonado has just become the goalkeeper of the Cardiologists team, and impressed the whole Institute with his excellent performances. As the team is composed by the top performers of the league, Maldonado won this place, even without having much experience. His long hair is his signature mark. He jumps on practically every ball to make a save, loving to impress everyone watching him.

12- Professor Tobias BROWN (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 73
Occupation: permanent member of Neurology Institute department; teacher in the Institute University; member of teaching council in the University
Bio: the most famous goalkeeper of the country, Brown is one of the leaders of the Neurologists team and of the Institute department of Neurology. So, his importance is inside and outside the football field, being one of the most respected doctors of the place. Due to his advanced age, Brown is likely to not start the games, but he is surely the most talented keeper, and the attackers can’t underrate him.

22- Doctor Heraldo ARAGÃO (Team: Orthopaedists)
Age: 44
Occupation: member of the Orthopaedic department – stable patients’ area
Bio: the Orthopaedists have a team that is rising on the Laifódi league, conquering some important results, and the arrival of doctor Aragão is one of the things that helped them to win many games. Aragão is a concentrated and efficient goalkeeper, and also a talented doctor, who likes to talk with his patients.

Age: 57
Occupation: head of the Otorhinolaryngology Institute department; member of the Breath High Council; head teacher of his department in the Institute University
Bio: Professor Rocher is a symbol of the Landau Institute. Was born here, raised here, studied here and now is head of his department. Studying medicine since he was just a child, Rocher surely has a huge knowledge, and is one of the most famous doctors of the Landau Institute. Also, has a good relationship with most patients and with the doctors too, being a person that most people like. As a football player, Rocher is fast and is able to make some excellent passes, long or short.

6- GABRIEL Leite Cruz (Team: Physical Trainers)
Age: 32
Occupation: member of the Sporting Activities department
Bio: Gabriel is a young player of the Landau Institute team, and due to that is a player with a very good physical condition. Usually all players of the team are in perfect health conditions, but Gabriel is the one least likely to suffer an injury. His crossings are his best ability, and he is a quiet person.

14- Doctor Mendelúcio SOBRINHO (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 52
Occupation: member of the Psychiatry department – I. T. Patients’ area
Bio: Doctor Sobrinho works in the dangerous area of the Institute, where the patients can’t be controlled by the medicines given by the doctors. Due to that, he is a cautious person and one who can deal with most difficulties in his work – something that happens when he is playing football too.

16- Professor Jair VALENÇA (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 80
Occupation: permanent member of the Neurology Institute department; member of the Brain High Council; teacher in the Institute University
Bio: an experienced doctor and football player, Jair Valença is one of the most important neurologists of the Institute, probably just behind the department chief Professor Arthur Costa, who doesn’t like football. Valença usually don’t work directly with the patients, although can enter in some really difficult cases, where a top neurologist is needed. Doesn’t like to work in the University, and that’s why he wasn’t able to have a good academic career, being just a normal teacher there.


Defenders:

3- Doctor Renato RIBEIRO (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 59
Occupation: permanent member of the Neurology Institute department
Bio: the Neurologists team is mostly composed by experienced doctors, so its average age is one of the highest of the league. But it also has many top players, and Ribeiro is another of them. Fanatic for football, he isn’t much dedicated to his work, although years of service granted him a place among the leaders of the department. But you can’t expect him to work until late hours in the night.

4- VALDIR Marrocos Pitoco (Team: Security)
Age: 36
Occupation: member of Landau Institute’s security – island area
Bio: a member of the security team in the Institute’s National Team? Yes. Although the team isn’t a very good one, it often has good defenders. We don’t need to say that Valdir is a highly physical player, who uses his strength to defeat his opponent, sometimes with fouls. But, outside the field, he is a nice person, and loves watching soap operas.

13- Doctor Augusto MENDES DÍAZ (Team: Toxicologists)
Age: 39
Occupation: member of the Toxicology department – common patients’ area
Bio: Doctor Mendes Díaz is a young doctor, who still didn’t have any big achievements inside the Institute as a doctor – he is only a working doctor in his department, nothing special. But, as a football player, he has already shown his ability as defender, and he also claims that he can discover if a player is using drugs or not by just smelling his watch or socks.

21- Doctor Kléber LA CODETI (Team: Gynaecologists)
Age: 62
Occupation: permanent member of the Gynaecology Institute department; member of Sexual MEDICAL Studies High Council
Bio: Doctor La Codeti is surely the best player of the Gynaecologists team, an average one which has a good teamwork and tactical awareness that makes them get some good results. La Codeti is a talkative person, and loves to invent stories. He is also a member of the Sexual Council, which had to have the work medical written in all capitals in its name due to many people thinking that the council was intended for other activities.


Defensive Midfielders:

5- Professor Tarcísio DUPONT (Team: General Practitioners)
Age: 51
Occupation: member of the General Practice department – I. T. Patients area; teacher of the Institute University
Bio: Professor Dupont is a very determined person, and one who never gives up when he has an objective. Working with unstable patients, he had already many problems about insisting in giving medicines to patients that were having bad reactions to them, with some fatalities involved. He also is a very demanding player, as much as he is with his students, with his classes being one of the most difficult of the university. Dupont wanted to be the captain of the team, but probably the fact that he is a general practitioner didn’t help him in this.

8- Doctor Paula Raquel Fernandes SPLITSSCHER (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 30
Occupation: member of the Psychiatric department – stable patients’ area
Bio: one of the few women in the Landau Institute Natioal Team, Doctor Splitsscher is also the youngest player of the team, and also a very talented football player, with an excellent vision and positioning, being able to start good counterattacks. Her career in the psychiatry area is still beginning, so she doesn’t have any titles or awards.

15- Professor Haroldo BARBEIRO (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 79
Occupation: member of the Neurology department – I. T. Patients area; teacher of the Institute University; member of teaching council in the University
Bio: Professor Barbeiro is loved by his students. A top teacher, is great in doing classes in the Institute’s University. Curiously, as a doctor, he is nothing special, even with years of experience, being unable to get anything more than just a basic position in the intensive treatment area. Barbeiro’s advanced age has highly affected his football ability, so he won’t move much on the field.

20- Caio MOTTA Vagrandini (Team: Stable Patients)
Age: 44
Situation: under observation by psychologists – former mental illness
Bio: Motta is one of the two patients that got to the Landau Institute National Team. Currently Motta is considered cured by the doctors responsible for him, and under observation in the stable patients’ area. But he used to have severe hallucinations, which made him completely unable to communicate or to act with his free will until these hallucinations ended, which made him pass years of his life in the intensive treatment area. Well, glad that he is cured now... is he?


Offensive Midfielders:

7- Doctor Giuliana Carvalho LEÓN (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 36
Occupation: permanent member of the Psychiatric Institute department
Bio: another female psychiatrist in the National Team, she is considered the main responsible for leading her team in the Laifódi competition, due to her incredible dribbling ability. She is very good at humiliating other players with her dribbles and inventive shots, and people say she acts the same way when counselling patients. She is very stubborn and short-tempered, and can engage in long discussions. She is also fast when controlling the ball, but dislikes long-ranged shots.

11- Doctor Sidney Harmangi Hill "DR. ALIEN" (Team: Otorhinolaryngologists)
Age: 50
Occupation: member of the Otorhinolaryngology department – stable patients’ area
Bio: Doctor Hill isn’t a famous person inside the Landau Institute. In fact, even in the Laifódi (the Institute league) scene he wasn’t a well-known name. But last season he showed everyone that he is simply the best set pieces taker of the entire place. Also, his heading abilities are extremely useful to help the team to score goals and defend. He is slowly becoming famous inside the Institute, but still has to improve his treatment methods. After an experience with an extraterrestrial creature infected him with an unknown toxin, Hill suffered a complete mutation, developing supernatural strength and stamina, becoming much taller and heavier, with purple skin and a deformed face, turning himself into a monster. Now he is called Dr. Alien.

17- Professor Nathan WAMBROCKING (Team: Cardiologists)
Age: 86
Occupation: head of the Cardiology Institute department; head of the Heart High Council; member of Landau Institute’s presidency chamber; head teaching of his department in the Institute University; member of the teaching council in the University
Bio: Professor Wambrocking is, without doubt, the highest-ranked of the doctors in this National Team, being even part of the group of doctors that lead the Institute. He is also a good football player, known for distributing well the ball and making some interesting moves when attacking. Due to his age, will probably get only ten or twenty minutes of playing time in a game he enters. As a doctor, Wambrocking usually doesn’t have personal contact with patients, leading a group of doctors under his command, who do all the dirty work for him.

19- JOHANN Brass (Team: I. T. Patients)
Age: 38
Situation: under intensive treatment by cardiologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, endocrinologists and hypnotherapists; illness not yet identified
Bio: a ferocious player – literally. Johann is a member of the intensive treatment area, due to having an uncontrollable rage, which starts without warning. His rage attacks are impressive to watch, as he tends to completely destroy a beef or eat a latrine in seconds. A huge group of doctors is actually trying to control him, but only hypnosis has some effects – which lasts for little time. When playing football, Johann is known for his long individual runs and potent shots, and is sometimes called Johann Foguete.


Attackers:

9- Doctor Eduardo da Cunha GADESCU (Team: Pulmonologists)
Age: 53
Occupation: member of the Pulmonologist department; member of the Research department; member of the General Practice department – all in the common patients’ area
Bio: surprisingly the only doctor of this team who has more than one specialty – something that is common in the Institute – Doctor Gadescu plays for the Pulmonologists, as this is the area where he acts the most, and where he has shown big talent, being considered one of the possible future leaders of this area inside the Landau Institute. A calm person, doesn’t like to take risks.

10- Professor Fabrício ABRAHIM Mendoza (Team: Oncologists) – [COLOR="Red"]team captain[/COLOR]
Age: 70
Occupation: head of the Oncology Institute department; head teacher of his department in the Institute University
Bio: the top scorer of the Laifódi league and one of Landau Institute’s legends in the attack. Professor Abrahim is a goalscorer by nature, he seems to have born with goal instinct. He can be sleeping on the grass during the game that the ball will surely hit him and enter the goal. Because of his fame and his experience in football, the coach’s choice of putting him as the captain was accepted by everyone. As a doctor, he is very humble, and likes to personally check the situation of his many patients. Is surely the key player of this team, although some people claim it is Doctor León.

18- Professor Raimundo Nonato PASCOAL (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 64
Occupation: permanent member of the Psychiatry Institute department; member of the Brain High Council; teacher of the Institute University
Bio: an experience psychiatrist, Professor Pascoal seems to have updated his skills to a mythical level. Many people say that the legend that Pascoal can read the minds of other people and fully predict what someone will do is true, although the doctor denies this. But, if this is not true, how can he shoot exactly where the goalkeeper won’t go?

23- Doctor Aline Merengue DE FRUTI (Team: Dentists)
Age: 38
Occupation: member of the Dentistry department of the Institute
Bio: she is an attacker who provokes the same feeling in both her patients and the opponents’ defenders and goalkeepers: fear. Her patients scream: “please have mercy of my mouth!” while her opponents scream: “please have mercy of our goal!” But she is deadly (not in the literal sense, she didn’t kill any patients), and can score goals with ability.


The Staff:

Occupation: ball made of something that looks like glass, or maybe it is some rock... I don’t know, it is orange... wait, it changed the colour to blue... I give up
Bio: this is what (or who) gave the Landau Institute the motivation to return to world football. This ball, according to Gaspar Aecalyopheno, stores all the memories of the creator of The Machine, Pascal Caelaphyluso, who used his abilities from the dreamed realm to give life to the former coach of the Estresse Intenso team. Pascal was dead, but now this ball is considered to be him, as it has his memories and does what he would do in each situation. Most people, then, seem to agree that the ball is Pascal himself, and that it is his soul which is stored. The memory ball floats on the air and can move with good speed. Gaspar says that the ball talks, but as no one has never heard anything from the ball, it must be through telepathy. The Memory Ball has a huge knowledge about football tactics, and seems to be preparing well the Landau Institute team for the competitions.

Assistant Head Coach: Gaspar Aecalyopheno
Age: 56
Occupation: member of Landau Institute’s presidency chamber; member of Mythical Debate High Council
Bio: Aecalyopheno is the apprentice of Pascal Caelaphyluso, who came to the Landau Institute from the Dreamed Realm when his master was still alive. He seems to have learned a lot from his master, but not everything, and is clearly considered as a person with inferior knowledge and talent than the much missed Pascal. With the arrival of the Memory Ball, Gaspar saw the return of his old master, and his extremely happy and motivated. As he is the only one who can communicate with the ball, he has now the position of assistant head coach, and he also is the one who will give the ball’s orders to the team, and also the one who will discuss with the referee if needed.

Age: 79
Occupation: member of the Surgery department of the Institute
Bio: Doctor Igaben is the coach of the team, the one who will actually give the team the training and make them fit for the games. He will have no participation during the games, being only responsible for pre and post-game events. As a doctor, Igaben is a good surgeon, although not one with the highest reputation inside the Landau Institute.

Background Detail: differently from Cafundéu, Estresse Intenso is an absurd place. In every corner, you'll find riots, prophets saying that the world will end soon, crazy people walking on the streets, cars being exploded, huge holes on the ground that probably lead to Hell, big helicopters sending the most different types of messages to the people. No police. No proper government to contain the people. A true chaos. The only place where the people can find protection is inside the office buildings, huge skyscrapers controlled by Cafundelense companies estabilished in Estresse Intenso. These office buildings have security guards that defend the place and negotiate with the gangs that "work" on the streets. These normal people that decide to live in the office buildings have to work to "pay" for their stay, food and security. In fact, there is no money in Estresse Intenso. This situation comes close to slavery. Because of that, the office buildings have some influence in the country.

The Landau Institute is a part of Estresse Intenso, but there things are different. It is located in the Lowrni island, between the country and Bazalonia, and seems to be completely independent from the country. The Institute is a place where the people that succumbed to the stress (or became crazy in the middle of the chaos) go to get a treatment. The doctors there are excellent, and the patients well-treated, receiving attention and the help necessary. A much better and calm place to live, the Landau Institute is a paradise in the middle of Hell. The doctors control the place, but they don't live in better conditions than the patients (a lie! They do, although it is not such a big difference).

Standard disclaimer FTW: The Weegie Government's Department of Culture, Sport, and Tourism allows anything and everything to happen in a game, as long as it is properly disciplined by the referee, police, security services, army, or your gran. In the event something does happen to our players, we must note that a few thousand drunken, angry Weegies will camp out outside your National Football Association and chuck things at anyone going in or coming out.

The Weegie national football team play their home games either in The People's Stadium, Mackintosh (capacity 65,146) or The Dear Green Place, Mackintosh (capacity 73,211). They wear a home shirt of dark green and dark blue vertical stripes, white shorts with dark green numbers on the sides, and white socks, and an away shirt of dark blue and red, bisected diagonally across the shirt, dark blue shorts with red numbers on the side, and red socks.

Ally Daniels, 49.

Ally Daniels was previously manager of Cialtag Rovers for 6 seasons before being offered the Weegie national side job by the WFA. Considered a second-rate team at best, his canny defensive play and excellent man-management skills have meant that the Rovers often ended up the season amongst top sides like Lylia Foresters or Buchanan L.F.C during his reign, and they won the 2005/06 season, the first time Cialtag Rovers had ever done so. Only a spate of injuries in the 2008/2009 season meant that they missed out on a place in international club competition.

In World Cup 48 qualifying, Daniels had mixed results, on the one hand generally doing terribly away, but having an excellent home record, only losing once to Kura-Pelland. This, added with a creditable Cup of Harmony performance where the side got past the group stage, meant that the WFA kept him on board to continue the development of the side. World Cup 49 continued Daniels' solid but unspectacular style, where progression was made in developing what had been a very sloppy defense, The Weegies ending qualification with a positive goal difference, but had a disappointing Cup of Harmony 41, where again, shaky goalkeeping seemed to let down what had been a reasonable effort by the side.

Before managing, Ally Daniels was a goalkeeper for Weegie Premiership team Soothside City, where he performed creditably.
