Taeshan National Team -

Manager- TBA
Modifier- -5
Name- Purple Knights

Jerseys- (Home, Away, Third)

ROSTER (Starters in Bold Purple)

Goalkeepers
1 - Ryleigh Voegael - Dragoste Dragons (Antoletia) 26 Years Old, 30 Caps
Now in her third season in goal Ryleigh has hit her stride being the force behind the Purple Knights goal. Now officially the next great keeper in the line of Taeshani keepers Reyleigh looks to use the Copa to continue to hold the offenses of the world quite.

23- Dale Smoker - Capetown Croc's 25 years Old, 0 Caps
Overlooked in favor of a younger goalie smoker is the 2nd string backup who many see being passed over in case of injury, for the second choice national keeper listed below him.

24- Logan Watson - X Island Marauders 22 Years Old, 1 Cap
As mentioned above the second string on the larger side was just called up to fill the need for three keepers, and would only be used in case of injury to the star. Logan is coming of a good season on X Island and looks to continue to show the future of keeping.

DEFENDERS

2 - LB, Eddie Styles - Bayern Phoenix, 25 Years old, 25 Caps, 1 Goal
The first choice left back for the B squad is of course Eddie Styles. With an ability to run up the left side like nobodies business and an eye for the cross Eddie is a fan favorite and a man who can assist like nobodies business.

3- CB, Grant Wetter - Aasiaat Harbour(Polar Islandstates) 26 Years Old, 16 Caps
In the center of the Purple Knights will be Grant Wetter. More known for his failures during a DBC long ago, Grant has managed to make a name for himself with Polarian first division club Aasiaat Harbour, but in Taeshan many still doubt him.

4- CB, Tyler Smyth - Atlantea Hurricanes 26 Years Old, 0 Caps
The second Center back will be Taeshani juggernauts Atlantea's Tyler Smyth. Long heralded as a brilliant defender and tough center back Smyth has long been in the heads of opposing strikers for long games.

5 - RB, Gloria Walters - Gilley FC(Saugeais) 25 Years Old, 15 Caps
The final cog of the B defense, Gloria Walters is an unheralded defender who has long been in the shadow of better players her age. She gets another chance to break into the starting lineup at the Copa, but many expect her to continue to see the far side of the bench on the A team.

17 - Max Toledo - Mt Ceabring Thunder 22 Years Old, 0 Caps
After a few good seasons in Mt Ceabring, Max Toledo has been called up to play on the B team to get some experience with some of the national team players, and to test the young man out.

19 - Tyler Provyay - Knightspurs 23 Years Old, 1 Cap
The former U21er once again joins the side and will have more chances to gain experience before he ultimately joins the national team in full a few years from now. He is a front runner to one day be a key fullback on the best defensive side in the world.

21 - Flynn Parker - Fadron Flight 22 Years Old, 1 Cap
Another former U21er with a chance to make a mark during his stay on the B team, Parker is looked at to take whatever fullback position Provyay does not take the year after he takes it.

MIDFIELDERS

6 - LM, Ryan Salisbury - Moresville FC, 30 Years Old 0 Caps
Ryan Salisbury has been called upon to play the playmaking role that usually is played by Gwyn Juniper, who is resting up before what many believe to be his final run at the World Cup. Salisbury is coming off a second great season with Moresville, a great All-Star campaign and is looking to end his career on a high note in the national side.

7 - CM, Aaron Conrad - Blacklake Blues, 25 Years Old, 26 Caps, 2 Goals
In the center of the midfield will be recent Taeshani favorite Aaron Conrad. With brilliant work keeping Blacklake topside, and a knack for finding the pass leading to a goal, Conrad is looking to improve his form and possibly one day start for the full side.

8- RM, Bravo Abreu - Moresville FC, 30 Years Old, 1 Cap
A player that brings the old, there is always two Moresville starters on the national team to light, Bravo is looking much like Ryan Salisbury to end his career on a high note, and possibly show the world how Moresville is good for more than its Center Backs.

9- CAM, Ender Wiggin - Unattached(ASK FSSO) 27 Years Old, 129 Caps, 59 Goals
Once again moving back to midfield to allow two younger strikers a starting chance, Ender Wiggin is the second star of the national team. The high scoring high flyer has recently been left without a team due to a hefty price tag, a nose for the net, and a sadly falling former team in Eura.

12 - Tyler Icicle - Tintown Terrapins 25 Years Old, 21 Caps, 1 Goal
Another year looking to get more experience Tyler Icicle will also be looking to shoot for the stars and a starting spot in the coming seasons. His foot is known for creating ball movements on free kicks, a game changer late in the game.

15 - Jeremi Krieder - Ojian Orangemen 23 Years Old, 0 Caps
Another former U21er getting his first full team experience Krieder was the vice captain for the lil-knights 2 years ago and now looks to use that on the nations B Team.

16 - Karl Llana - Bayern-Algaer 23 Years Old, 0 Caps
Joining his longtime teammate will be Karl Llana also formerly of the U21ers. A former U21 Champion Llana also looks to continue his international play by first starting through the B Team.

18 - George Klose - Atlantea Hurricanes 26 Years Old, 0 Caps
The Atlantean center midfielder joins the team hoping to win a cap after sitting on the bench all of last campaign. Fans will look to see him play in a holding position, and a ball handling one.

22- Mark Tlumach - New Capetown Falcons, 23 Years Old, 2 Caps, 1 Goal
The real winner of last Copa, Tlumach is back looking to solidify his position on the full team, and get some more key experience for his future on the full side.

FORWARDS

10- LS, Brian Kljestan - Bayern-Algaer 29 Years Old, 34 Caps, 8 Goals
After a blistering campaign on the club side, and a brilliant run of games off the bench during the last World Cup, Kljestan has been pushed to start for the games in the Copa with his time and chances in the international scene dwindling.

11 - RS, Kyle Laravy - Mt Ceabring Thunder 23 Years Old, 37 Years Old, 4 Goals
For the second Copa in a row Kyle Laravy will have the keys to the offense in his hand and a chance to impress with a goalscoring effort. He has failed to do so in all his chances before, and its getting close to a point where he might not ever have a chance to start.

13 - Skylar Crane - Mt Ceabring Thunder, 23 Years Old, 0 Caps
Yet another player hailing from Mt Ceabring. Crane and his twin brother have long been heralded as the best twins in like forever, in football and now he has a chance to show this promise on the national side.

14 - Gregory Fawkes - Real Chinchinhua, 23 Years Old. 0 Caps
Another man formerly of the U21 side, Fawkes is a notable striker and will be looking for a chance to impress the national manager for his hopes in the future.

20 - Tyler Pantoum - Goidelic(Ancharmunn) 20 Years Old, 4 Caps, 1 Goal
The youngest member of not only this squad, but the full squad, Tyler still plays for the U21 squad and also gets chances on the other levels of the national team. Probably the next great striker in the Taeshan national team.

KITSUNIA-DEESSE COPA RUSHMORI XIV
LES GUERRIERS

ImageImage
ImageImage

Kitsunia-Deesse is a normal-sized Empire hidden somewhere in Rushmore, like on the most legends that were originated on Unzucneru Association back in the day about where and most importantly what was beyond the Northern Bay of Andarahy. Obviously those legends were a little biased, for anything, it wasn't the gateway to the true lands of the Brazilian State of Acre, neither the gateway to the giant metropolis placed inside the Bermudas Triangle or the gateway to the Forgotten Lands.

The country's political system works in a simple way. The national leader is a female Kitsune with the same powers of a God, named La Déesse, which lives for a time period of 150 years, instead of the normal lifetime of a Kitsune, which tends to consist of 400 years. La Déesse then chooses her apostles, representants of the magical leader that take care of each of the states of the Empire. Originally, the demograph of Kitsunia-Deesse consisted solely of Kitsunes but following a civil war that would later end with the reclusion of the Empire to Rushmore, they slowly started accepting another groups of beings inside of itself. They still do not allow humans, making an exception to rare moments, such as when Armée de la Déesse faced Korriga from Dainer for the final match of the first ever Heritage Cup. While the nation has seen an increase of Basswulfes, Ourselines, Oscéans and Bravians (Animal-like creatures that tend to act as humanoids, respectively taking strong characteristics from wolves, bears, sharks and birds), the most increasing fleet of creatures have been the Psychic-type Pokemons that came from Northern Sunrise Islands. In fact, one of the national team members, Oironi Xabanaxaspatrua, is a Xatu, born inside the Kitsunia-Deesian borders, one of the first that managed to be born there.

This is the second time Les Guerriers are playing the Copa Rushmori, but the first time they are playing following the recent acts of integration, thus showing that the Empire embraces its new habitants. Whether will this prove to be good for the team (that left last edition without even scoring), it's still to be known.

Coach

Iarlaith Mag Aonghusa (Sorthern Northland)
Much travelled tactician who coached his homeland to back-to-back World Cup titles. Left his position as national coach of Taeshan by mutual consent after leading the Knights to the quarter finals of the last World Cup.

Assistant Coaches

Principal coaching staff remain, providing much needed continuity. Meaning Hernán Ojeda holds on to an assistant coach slot while Israel Navarro continues to work with the goalkeepers and Javier Valentín oversees the fitness work.

Talent

GK: 1. Ezequiel Medrán (25) – Sporting San Marquez
Picked out by Tejera, who knows a thing or two about goalkeeping, as one to watch during his tenure in charge at the Estadio Silva. Now first choice for a Sporting side that finished as Liga de Fuego runner’s up.
GK: 13. Omar Cuerdo (31) – El Nacional
Something of a late bloomer after plying much of his trade in the murky lower levels of Sargossan football. Signed to be a backup at the Independiente but when injury gave him a chance in the first team he made the position his own.
GK: 25. Silvio Romero (28) – Sportivo Cordova
Mr reliable at the back for Sportivo. He’s not showy, he’s not spectacular but everything Silvio does tends to be right.

DR: 2. Mauro Maidana (26) – Sporting San Marquez
One of the stars of Nuevo Onwere’s excellent season. A first call up to the national side coupled with a big money move across the city to Sporting are the just rewards for a fine year.
DRC: 5. Leandro Gonzàlez (29) - El Nacional
Former captain of the Under-21 side who has become an integral member of the senior squad. Became the youngest El Nacional captain in their history.
DLC: 6. Mauro Fernández (27) – Ciudad Soluca
Soluca giants Ciudad may not have had their finest season on record but one thing that did stand out was their defensive solidity. And key to that was the form of this rugged centreback.
DL: 3. Lautaro Formica (28) – Sporting San Marquez
The second son of Marquezian immigrants who couples sound defensive instincts with a wand of a left foot. Clocked up twelve goals from set pieces last season.
DRC: 12. Matías Sosa (23) – Sporting San Marquez
A free scoring centreback whose temperament has been known to get him in a spot of bother. Twelve goals and a string of dominating performances were high points of the season. Four red cards, not so much.
DC: 14. Diego Jara (31) – El Nacional
A rare thirty plus-er in the El Nacional lineup whose experience became crucial as the campaign went on. Diego rose to the occasion and helped his side to Globe Cup qualification.
DLC: 19. José Toranzo (22) – Perntav Marna TU (Earent)
Can play at both left fallback and in the centre of defence, looking equally accomplished in both positions. Recently set out for a new challenge in Earent.
DR: 21: Gonzalo Soriano (28) - El Nacional
Pacy rightback with a devil of a cross on him. Has a good understanding with club mate Gonzàlez and will continue to push hard for a starting berth.

DMC: 4. Lucas Ramís (27) – Sporting San Marquez
Key member of a Sporting side looking to re-establish themselves in the Liga de Fuego.
AMR: 7. Javier Jerez (24) – Sporting San Marquez
A diminutive winger with plenty of technique but a willowy frame that struggles to compete with the game’s more physical practitioners.
MC: 8. Rodrigo Defederico (25) – Oyardo FC (Astograth)
Was the most highly prised transfer target of the close season and object of desire for all the nation’s big clubs. But the playmaker turned down the likes of Sporting San Marquez and Ciudad Soluca to make the move to Astograth.
AML: 11. Alejandro Echeverría (31) - Ciudad Soluca
This boy's a bit special and we're not talking in the crash helmet and crayons sense. Stick him anywhere in the attacking third and he can make something happen. Retains the captain's armband despite the change in coach.
AMRC: 15. Rodrigo Hoyos (27) – Sporting San Marquez
‘Hot Rod’ spends a little too much time making headlines for his off field antics for most coaches liking but you can’t argue that the boy has talent. Another key member of Sporting’s strong season.
MLC: 16. k**e Galán (26) – Sporting San Marquez
Miniature midfield dynamo whose influence in the centre often belies his diminutive stature.
AML: 18. Sebastián Canteros (24) - Perntav Marna TU (Earent)
Started life as a striker before the youth coaches at the Ciudad Deportiva decided that such crossing ability was wasted in the centre. Has joined Toranzo in Earent.
DMC: 22. Matías Escobar (23) – El Nacional
A young midfield anchor man who can run all day long. Statistically the best performing Sargossan in the Liga de Fuego last season.
AMLC: 24. Ivan Ávila (23) – Ciudad Soluca
An understudy for Sargossan international Alejandro Echeverría at the Estadio Generalissmo Joaquín Delgado who is starting to show why he’s regarded do highly at his club.

FLC: 9. Gelson Di Santo (23) – Ciudad Soluca
A real find from the Ciudad academy who is used sparring for both club and country but tends to rise to the opportunity when given it. Can play up front or wide on the left.
FC: 17. Mariano Estrada (26) – Sporting San Marquez
A familiar figure towards the top of the Liga de Fuego scoring charts. Was seen as something of an untouchable in the squad but the emergence of Ferreyra could change that.
FC: 17. Federico Ferreyra (24) – Gortz United (Astograth)
Another gem unearthed by the scouts in San Marquez who was Nuevo Onwere’s top scorer as they finished in a more than creditable 13th place in the Liga de Fuego. Impressed the Astograthian scouts during what was an otherwise underwhelming World Cup qualifying campaign.
FRC: 20. Lucas Andrada (32) - Turoki Tide (Vilita)
A talented lad plucked from SuperLiga midtable obscurity by sharp eyed V-League scouts. Now plying his trade in Turoki after spells at Kiiarana and Yeaddin Owls. Recently helped his club to victory at the 40th Globe Cup and subsequent AlfaCredit Super Cup. Which probably constitutes a good season.
FC: 23. Agustín Caruzzo (27) – Dwile Warriors (Apox)
Top scorer at the Bonilla Arena as Alianza Jucaro squeezed into the Globe Cup qualification places. Has since moved to Apox.

JoH scientists and engineers, during a rare moment pseudo-sober genius, have developed a machine capable of bringing cartoon characters to life. Once back to their normal “baked” status, the genius was gone and the group could think of no better use than to animate 22 characters to fil the national football squad. Here is what they came up with…

STAFF:
Interim Manager: Morten Rasmussen, 55
Record in Charge: P 23, W 16, D 5, L 2, GF 37, GA 11, GD +26, WP 70%
With the Terns stagnating and fresh blood needed, last manager Joachim Schwartz offered his resignation in good faith and saw it accepted by the FPIFA. They agreed that time had drawn to a close on the Schwartz era, and as the WCC Presidency moved to the nation, the next chapter must begin. Former FC Axel Heiburg boss Morten Rasmussen takes over at the helm of the Terns for his first Copa Rushmori in charge after enjoying such a promising start during the World Cup; going unbeaten in qualifiers and reaching the quarter finals at the first attempt. It was taking the Axel Heiburg Argonauts from Divisjon Two to three time Divisjon One champions that first attracted the FPIFA to Rasmussen, and his winning mentality is something he appears to have dragged across with him. With a keen eye for developing young talent and playing attractive football, it is no surprise to see Rasmussen ring the changes for his second tournament, having played safe and gone with the form players at the World Cup. Rejuvenating this side is the first and most important task on his checklist, and if the trophies at the bottom of the list are going to be checked off also, then it's first things first. The Copa has always had the opportunities for a young Tern to blood themselves in the field of battle, and for Rasmussen's side it is no different. Indeed, of the nine players he has brought in that weren't in the World Cup squad only three have been previously capped, sharing twenty-two caps between them at an average age of twenty-three for all nine. The future is coming.

Assistant Manager: Steffan Pekarik, 43
Steffan Pekarik is a player who knows what it takes to succeed. Holding 141 caps for the Terns and appearing for East Franz Athletic and KagPaz club Urajbina, he later joined Axel Heiburg and being their first ever title lifting captain under Morten Rasmussen's guidance in his last ever season of professional playing. He then went straight into the coaching set-up at the Argonauts and was the assistant manager, second only to Rasmussen, by the time Jorgen Hauge lifted the title three seasons later. Upon Rasmussen's job offer at the Terns, Pekarik was swiftly whisked across as well, and it is thought that the inspirational and dynamic former left-back with the talent for man-management is being trained and prepared for a crack at a big management job himself in the future.

PLAYERS:
#1 - GK - Artemiusz Korzhanenko - Age 25 - SK Franz Josef City - 24 Caps
After some strong performances for the u-21s, Korzhanenko has been handed the chance to make the Terns number one jersey his own not long after he captured the number one jersey at SK, and in truth he is possibly just ahead of the undoubted talent of Kirilaunen at the moment. Nigh on unbeatable when challenging for the ball in the box, he also has a great record in penalty shoot outs, and you never know when that might come in handy. With the long qualification campaign just what he needed to settle in properly, he nonetheless looked fraught at the finals, and Rasmussen will be watching his development here keenly. Title-winner or no title-winner, he needs to perform when it matters on the big stage.

#2 - DR - Alexander Hesjedal - Age 24 - Northbrook Diamonds FK - 13 Caps, 1 Assist, 1 Goal
As one of the key attacking outlets for his club side, Hesjedal has clearly been brought in by Rasmussen to replace the attacking options that the retired Zacharias Juul always offered the Terns when it mattered. The international retirement of CC-chasing Dima Petersen means the first team spot is open to Alexander immediately, and he can be trusted to make it his own if his previous performances are anything to go by. He's flitted in and out of form in the past, leading to him being dropped for the World Cup squad, but he was one of Northbrook's outstanding performers last season, and he wicked drilled crosses could be lethal for the Terns on counter-attacks.

#3 - DC - Julius Oyen-Spekke - Age 30 - East Franz Athletic - 105 Caps, 8 Assists, 6 Goals
Quietly putting in match-winning performances isn't easy in the Federation League, where every move is scrutinised and caught on camera, but playing for a club outside the big four helped. Oyen-Spekke is a defender upon whose shoulders many hopes rested when his promotion to the starting XI was once seen as something of a risk, however daft that may sound now. He hasn't looked back since, and following disappointing results in the league for Resolute Storm he moved for big money to East Franz Athletic and has become one of the best defenders in the country since. His agility and ability in the air is almost unmatched, and for sheer athleticism he'll be hard to beat, particularly as he is a huge threat in the opposition box as well. With the retirement of Torre Urfstadt, Oyen-Spekke is now the experienced head in this defence, and he'll be called upon to lead by example.

#4 - DC - David Wien - Age 25 - Jan Mayen Islanders - 27 Caps, 1 Assist, 2 Goals
Thanks to Jan Mayen Islanders' partnership with Liventian team Caernville Seahawks, Wien had already accumulated a significant amount of first team experience by the time he broke into the Jan Mayen first team; experience that also set him up well as he moved from the u-21s side into the full international side and now the starting line-up. His leadership and positional knowledge is already at an advanced stage, and his popularity with the other players in the side is noticeable to all. Pencilled in by some in the media as a future captain, he walks the fine line between being popular and being a leader like an expert. Despite this, his short temper can sometimes let him down.

#5 - DL - Kohev Küngas-Vaga - Age 25 - Northbrook Diamonds FK - 73 Caps, 15 Assists, 7 Goals - VICE-CAPTAIN
Impressed as the u-21s captain despite going out in the group stages of the DBC under his watch, this defender is well known and trusted by the management team, and is looking like being the captain when Alexsandr van Sorensen finally retires. Kohev is a combative and battling left-back, though he is a talented centre back and defensive midfielder as well, and this enthusiasm and adaptability is something that Rasmussen will be able to make good use of. Moving to the first team as a result of Edvar Folke's previous hamstring tear, his athleticism was called upon to offer support and attacks from down the left side, and he later ousted the now internationally-retired SK defender from the starting XI entirely.

#6 - DMC - Eyvindur Sudesval - Age 29 - SK Franz Josef City - 61 Caps, 3 Assists, 5 Goals
Another fan-favourite who has captained the u-21s in the past, Sudesval came to the senior side with a wealth of experience already in his back pocket, and his performances at defensive midfielder at the last Copa were good enough for Rasmussen to retain his services in the crucial hub of the Pythagorean for the qualifiers. Confident in his own abilities, he lets his football do the talking, and this quiet individual can often be seen practising alone if left to his own devices. Strong in the air and full of potential, his fitness levels are astonishing, able to run end to end for 120 minutes if needed to, therefore making him a perfect payer for the Pythagorean system. Boasts a powerful thunderbolt of a shot as well as the ability to control and dictate a match. He's a pro all-round defensive midfielder, which is exactly why SK brought him back from Saugeais in an effort to fix their lack of weight in the middle of the park. In the light of Hauge's previous dominance in the position, he'll never be anything more than a quiet makeweight and stopgap in the Terns long-term plans, but that suits his temperament just fine.

#7 - MC - Jean-Eric Villeneuve - Age 24 - Northbrook Diamonds FK - 35 Caps, 14 Assists, 5 Goals
Moving back to Northbrook from Cap Nordique in Cotdelapoms, Villeneuve is a creative attacking midfielder in the same mould as Lepka and Demarchelier and, like the latter, he hails from the Rochefroides community of Ellismare. Fluent in five languages, he is incredibly intelligent as far as footballers go, and his range of passing and vision on the pitch is evidence of this. Not the fastest player to have ever hit the turf, he lets the football do all the hard work for him, which can lead to his apparent lack of effort being an easy target for disgruntled fans is results aren't going so well. Fortunately, with Jean-Eric in the side, this is rarely the case, and with the help of Rasmussen and Pekarik's encouragement, even then pace and athleticism is starting to improve.

#8 - MC - Marten Cornelius - Age 28 - FC Axel Heiburg - 61 Caps, 25 Assists, 8 Goals
Cornelius came into the squad having been an inspiring presence for the u-21s in the past, and some impressive game-changing performances for Axel Heiburg underlined his quality as he was a key member of their Champions' Cup title-winning side. Two assists in his first five caps for the Terns gave glimpses of a fine midfielder with excellent vision, and despite playing a more attacking role for Axel Heiburg, we see him in the traditionally 'box-to-box' slot in the Pythagorean midfield plan. His inspirational midfield performance against Yuba United in the final of the Champions' Cup, pinging passes left right and centre as the Silver-Blues had no answer to his output, shows us that he's perhaps the closest thing we've got to a replacement for Alexsandr van Sorensen's driving midfield creativity, and as one of the experienced senior members of this side now, he will be needed to provide some leadership as well as support for the ageing van Sorensen.

#9 - ST - Vadim Illich-Svitych - Age 25 - FC Axel Heiburg - 53 Caps, 3 Assists, 15 Goals
With van der Riise taking both Jagr and Illich-Svitych to Wight for the Brevity Cup, the latter found his range with explosive style in his first match off the bench, and he was frequently brought on to terrorise defences late in the game after that. He has had a couple of outstanding seasons in the Federation League, quite rightly catching the eye as FC Axel Heiburg lifted the title and took the Champions' Cup with them a few seasons back, and this young striker with the dazzlingly good ball skills will seek to continue his development. Trusted and relied upon by Rasmussen, it is safe to say that up until now he is yet to hit the heights for the Terns that he manages for the Argonauts, being involved in plays without really finishing them. Hopefully that can change now his club manager is his national manager.

#10 - AMC - Alexsandr van Sorensen - Age 34 - Jan Mayen Islanders - 229 Caps, 93 Assists, 98 Goals - CAPTAIN
Shining light of the side Alexsandr is now just turning thirty-four, and at his best he can still be devastatingly untouchable. Played a vital role for Jan Mayen before his move to Cafundéu where he played for Petardos S/A and CR Submiria, and is now back home to the Ospreys after making waves with Valladar club AS Bezieres in the Super League, winning the Cygnus Cup three times in the process. Suffers from rare brain condition synaesthesia, meaning his senses get muddled up in his head, but manages to not let this affect his attractive attacking play - indeed if anything it appears to help him. Having played as a midfielder for Petardos S/A, Joachim Schwartz made full use of this natural tendency of Alexsandr's to drift backwards, and placed upon his shoulders the crucially important role of trequartista in his tactical scheme - taking up the pivotal role behind the strikers in the 'attacking triangle', and acting as a midfielder when the side has to defend. An all-time legend already, he is without a doubt the Terns' key player at this tournament and indeed he probably will be until he retires. Speaking of which, at thirty-four years old now, if the Terns are going to use one of the best players in the world to propel them to being the most successful Copa nation in history, this is probably their last chance. However, the Terns have shown that they can win without him in their four-two win over The Holy Empire at the last World Cup, so perhaps the side's dependency on him to pull the strings is being phased our by Rasmussen. After all, he won't be around forever.

#11 - ST - Felix Saarinen - Age 28 - East Franz Athletic - 42 Caps, 2 Assists, 23 Goals
With a series of hugely impressive performances in the Federation League, Saarinen's partnership up front with Kvitchenko has seen the Polarian duo become one of the most feared partnerships in the league. He is fast and nimble, and yet is able to command a lone striker position if necessary, and Kvitchenko's international retirement has allowed his team-mate a shot in the starting line-up just as he is hitting his peak condition. A tall and dangerous figure in the box, his resilient pace late on will torment tired legs, and this will surely see him make an impact as he aims to improve his impressive goal ratio yet again. Twitchers are excited to see just what he can still do in the Terns shirt, and whilst he perhaps hasn't been granted as many chances for the national team as he could, and some would say should, have done, he is nevertheless on form to shine this tournament.

#12 - GK - Iulian Kirilaunen - Age 21 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls - 4 Caps
Kirilaunen was handed the number one jersey at Surtsey last season, repaying the confidence shown in him by producing some outstanding performances as the Gulls exceeded all expectations. Twenty-one years old is astonishingly young for a goalkeeper to appear on the national team's bench, but there are some intensifying whispers about this young man, and Rasmussen hasn't really surprised that many people by including him here. Word has it that Korzhanenko's performances will be closely scrutinised this tournament, so you never know what could happen.

#13 - GK - Alexis Sand - Age 23 - Red Star Severny - Uncapped
Just making his breakthrough at Red Star, Alexis Sand is the first of the previously uncapped Terns to make the list. With a decent stretch and a firm punch, he'll do well when defending set pieces in the box, and his reflexes are second to none. There have been some concerns raised over his tendency to stay on his line when a sweeper-keeper might be more appropriate, but he is young yet and there is plenty of time to correct this.

#14 - AMC - Linus Bosnjakovic - Age 22 - RSK Longyearbyen Town - Uncapped
Moving back to RSK after a season spent on loan at Solovetsky Monastery has re-energised this former striker and he now prefers to operate behind the main strikers. He can spread the balls around at will, and he brings a one-touch one-two kind of speed and urgency around the box that the Terns aren't used to seeing. He'll certainly be a useful tool in Rasmussen's box of tricks, and he hasn't forgotten his striking instincts, either - just watch out for his fizzing shots given the time on the ball.

#15 - DL - Fabian Vaaraniemi - Age 22 - FC1. Bjarnarey Flotilla - 6 Caps
A hugely impressive six caps so far were not enough to see him replace the experience of Edvar Folke in the World Cup squad, but with the SK captain's retirement from international football, this fleet of foot left back from the Flotilla will get another chance. Lightning fast and with a hefty amount of momentum given the chance to run, he will be hard to stop late on in games should he come on. Still waiting for his first goal, or assist, but with several in Divisjon One from his tempting floated free kicks, it is surely just a matter of time.

#16 - DR - Alexis St Olaf - Age 23 - FC Axel Heiburg - Uncapped
Rasmussen has unearthed something of a gem here. Well known to Argonauts fans, his efforts had thus far eluded the attentions of the more international eye. Until now. Fluent at playing on both flanks, it was Rasmussen himself who discovered Alexis St Olaf in the 'out tray' of the Haapa-Mechelin Academy and brought him back into the youth set-up, retraining him from a winger to a wing-back in the process. Given the presence of Vaaraniemi in the squad it is likely we will only see St Olaf operating on the right this tournament, though in an emergency this versatile youngster can play pretty much anywhere but up front.

#17 - DMC - Eikr Lillehammer - Age 22 - SK Aasiaat Harbour - Uncapped
Another player to have suddenly blossomed in recent years is Eikr Lillehammer. Never even in contention for a u-21s spot in his youth, he was let go by the Northbrook Academy without much fanfare, and picked up by AFK Hans Island Pioneers. Performances there lead SK Aasiaat Harbour to purchase his services at the start of last season, and by the end of it he’d played his way into being one of the first names on the team sheet. With a battling mentality and a new-found confidence, Eikr is flying at the moment, and Rasmussen may have hitched his trailer to the right back-up defensive midfielder to the right player at the right time. The one that got away for Northbrook?

#18 - ST - Gustaf Kolehmainen - Age 23 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls - 3 Caps
With a vicious right boot and a desire to succeed, Gustaf Kolehmainen is another player upon whom Surtsey are building their hopes of a title-winning side for the first time in nearly thirty years. Has only made three appearances for the Terns so far, but has been widely lauded for his performances in Divisjon One in the past two seasons, and he has reportedly been the subject of more than a couple of big money bids as teams are lining up to procure the services of the young man who grew up in Surtsey. He’s staying put for now, though, and if I know Gustaf he will be focused on one thing and one thing only – scoring at the Copa.

#19 - MC - Anders Ekman - Age 25 - FC Torshavn - Uncapped
Over the course of three or four seasons, Ekman has gone from a rotation option to one of FC Torshavn’s most trusted midfielders, and so under Rasmussen’s guidance he receives his first ever international call-up. Cynics and sceptics will point out his relative age for someone receiving their first cap, but supporters will point to his stats at club level, and the international stats of another late bloomer to the Terns – Casper Baek. Anders Ekman certainly has it within him to be the kind of midfield general that Baek was. He just needs a chance.

#20 - ST - Wojciech Jagr - Age 24 - FC Axel Heiburg - 17 Caps, 3 Assists, 4 Goals
Wojciech Jagr has been Vadim Illich-Svitcyh's partner in crime throughout this whole career, the both of them coming through the Haapa-Mechelin Youth Academy at the same time, and whilst probably not quite as talented as his strike partner, there is no doubting his drive and desire to win. A relatively short striker by Polarian standards, Jagr is a battler, a fighter, and an ankle-biting scrapper who can be brought on to link in with the midfield at any time. His finishing and goal ratio might let him down at times, but his efforts tend to make it easier for others to score, and his style of play makes him a very handy player to have in your side.

#21 - MC - Jorgen Kirvesniemi - Age 22 - Red Star Severny - 15 Caps, 3 Assists, 1 Goal
Appearing regularly in the top flight for Rapid Jan Mayen and then later in Divisjon Two, his signing by Red Star Severny was seen another step in the young midfielder's development, and one that has brought him once again to the attentions of first van der Riise and now Rasmussen. He has it all in his locker, and can twist and turn out of danger, or provide a battling block as necessary. He can inspire and rifle in assists, or he can sit back and dictate play. Unwilling to let him become a positional expert just yet, the coaches are keen to let him add to his arsenal of overall talents. Could be a world-great in the future, another Hansen or Bielsen, so this is all seen as vital experience, and it is seen as no surprise that the bigger clubs are taking a good look at him.

#22 - DC - Soren Rovanpera - Age 24 - FC Axel Heiburg - 19 Caps, 1 Goal
Already a multiple title-winning defender with the formidable Golden Generation of FC Axel Heiburg, Soren Rovanpera is well known to Rasmussen. Wise beyond his years, Soren is capable of marking even the very best players out of the game on his day, and he can frustrate and torment like a pro, teasing more than one volatile striker into a sending off in his time. With a good future ahead of him, Rovanpera will be keen to add to his caps here as he eyes the spot in the starting line-up that Oyen-Spekke will be leaving at some point with hungry eyes.

#23 - DC - Vladimir Lucic - Age 23 - SK Franz Josef City - Uncapped
Thanks to Domeka Iriarte’s rigorous scouting procedures, it wasn’t long before Vladimir Lucic was registering on SK’s target hotlist, and following a good season Spitsbergen despite relegation, the Griffons didn’t waste any time in bringing the talented young defender to the Landstadt. The tall defender isn’t shy when it comes to making a tackle, and his readiness to go to ground and expertly take out both ball and player in a legal way has saved many a goal in the past. Is able to risk the offside trap more than usual thanks mainly to his sheer pace in a straight line, but can be outdone with his lack of nimbleness. Imperious in the air, and ready for his first cap.

TACTICS: "The Pythagorean" 2-3-3-2
The Polarian game is fast, quick, and physical. They won't give you a second on the ball to think, and they won't hold back in the tackle. In the centre of the park they will play a possession based midfield game, though a defence splitting pass could come at any moment towards the fast and direct attack. Seeing no reason to alter the formation based on the talents of Polarian footballers, Rasmussen will be keeping Schwartz's tactical plan, a narrow and heavily modified diamond formation dubbed the Pythagorean by the sporting press. It is reliant upon two key triangular sets of players that transcend the normal "rows" of player in conventional formation layouts. Oyen-Spekke, Wien, and Sudesval will act as the defensive triangle, and van Sorensen, Saarinen, and Illich-Svitych will counter at the other end as the offensive triangle. Sudesval and van Sorensen's roles in this scheme are absolutely crucial, as their job is to support and unlock the other two players in their respective triangles, providing outlets and creativity in abundance. Villeneuve and Cornelius will be part of a compact and creative midfield that will supply steel or style whenever the situation demands it, as well as partnering up with their respective full backs to form a kind of "bumper" that sweeps the flanks in attack or folds in to protect the penalty area in defence. Fitness of all players will therefore be key to the success of this plan, not least the constant positional changing demanded of Sudesval and van Sorensen, but the athleticism of Hesjedal and Küngas-Vaga in particular will be tested to the limit as their roles require frequent attacking. It's not quite a 4-3-3, it's not quite a 4-1-2-1-2, and it's not quite a W-M... its the Pythagorean.

Penalty Taker: Eyvindur Sudesval/Felix Saarinen
Free Kick Taker: Alexsandr van Sorensen/Jean-Eric Villeneuve/Marten Cornelius
Corner Taker: Alexsandr van Sorensen/Kohev Küngas-Vaga/Alexander Hesjedal

(OOC: Some information about Les Royales can be found here. It's updated to the most recent World Cup cycle.

Les Royales at Copa Rushmori XIV, Hosted in Taeshan

It's now 4 cups since Sicoutimont debuted at the Copa, and 4 cups since Sicoutimont finished 3rd at Copa Rushmori X, in Valladares. With Les Royales being drawn in a similar group as that of the tournament 8 years ago, could Sicoutimont finally get it back together at the Copa? They'll definitely want a good showing here after the no-win performance at the Cup of Harmony, as the team continue to grow better. So, here's the full roster for Copa Rushmori XIV!

Stan Sarault-ST-Athletik Thessia (Mytannion)
Georges Allonts-ST-Gesterlake FC (Astograth)
Lucas Dandenault-ST-Matthew City Rangers (Northern Sunrise Islands)

This team looks like the one at the World Cup Qualis, but with 3 additions. Loic Leduc and Lucas Dandenault are listed on the roster. However, as the end of the Di Bradini Cup will overlap with the Copa, it is unsure when they and teammate Fernard Girard will join the Copa roster. Kyle Eglisse joins the team as a midfield, he'll likely be the substitute. So, let's look at Sicoutimont's schedule and group!

Group H (Lake)
Filopines
Sicoutimont
Queer Poco el Mono Era
Western Cuba

So, Sicoutimont are in Group H, along with 2 teams that were in the same group as us during the magical run in Copa Rushmori X. This time around, it will be a double group stage, so Les Royales will play 6 matches. They will play all 'home' matches at Stadium on The Lake, home to Taeshan's Laketown Rangers, while all away matches will be played on that same island. Les Royales base camp will be in that city.

MD1-Sicoutimont vs Queer Poco el Mono Era @Stadium on The Lake
MD2-Sicoutimont vs Western Cuba @Stadium on The Lake
MD3-Filopines vs Sicoutimont @Laketown Football Stadium
MD4-Queer Poco el Mono Era vs Sicoutimont @Gangsters Park
MD5-Western Cuba vs Sicoutimont @Real Stadium on the Lake
MD6-Sicoutimont vs Filopines @Stadium on The Lake

It should be a good time, so join us from Taeshan for coverage of Copa Rushmori X!

STAFF:
Interim Manager: Kristin Janette, 27
Kristin Janette took on the heavy duty of coaching Mapletish after the departure of Muain Newtons due to mutual consent a while back. In as a talented and young manager with little to offer other than winning three straight Sunday League titles with Sunday League team Weekend Warriors FC. A tough decision made by then Mapletish Sports Federation President Sir Moros Alexander, whether or not Janette should be considered for a job with the national team and that took Alexander a month to consider as he visited Janette on the training grounds and watch her matches, before giving the nod. Opening up a new chapter of Mapletish football, Janette experimented with different tactics and never really stood with the same formation for every match preferring to switch around and making unorthodox tactics before every match. However that make her special, and that won her fans and critics as well, but critics were silenced when she led the Lions to their first ever appearance in the knockout rounds of the Cup Of Harmony and in the World Cup proper for the first time in eight attempts, a pretty long wait for the Lions there, but eventually she did it. With a keen eye for developing not only young talents and maximise the potential of more senior players while playing attractive football, it is no surprise to see Janette right on the helm once again having played safe and gone for in form players at the World Cup. Bringing on a squad of newer and younger players, with some of them not even playing in the Premier League. For her, The Copa has always been a platform for a young Lions to immerse themselves in the playing field and for Janette, they are just what she needs. Younger, faster and more talented, there is indeed more to the squad that Janette has picked.

Assistant Manager: Orinda Rosaline, 26
One of Janette's most faithful assistants and her childhood friend, Rosaline followed Janette through her coaching courses as both of them graduated with the Mapletish FA "A" license which allowed them to coach in the Premier League and the national team. Strict and energetic, her main tools in training are her motivational periods in which she would let her softer side take over as the team relaxed after training. Having played football when she was younger she was part of the generation of Portland Rovers girls that won the U19 FA Cup with Portland Rovers. However she kept out of football after graduating from the youth academy as she moved towards management.

THE RITUAL
The Buio'Dzz
Before every match, the team members (including the designated substitutes for the match) will perform a traditional ritual, called the Buio'Dzz on the pitch just before play begins. This is one of the many tribe war dance from the aboriginals of Mapletish, meant to awe their opponents, this is similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' haka before their matches. This would be performed unless the hosts of the match in question object to the ritual.

TACTICS: "The Leones Da Spectrum" OR "The 4-2-1-2-1"
The Maplish game is fast, physical and highly procession keeping where short passes are played around the players. Fitness is key to the Maplish game where the game switches positions quickly and in an instance. With the players switching positions all the time, the players are tactically disciplined to begin with and cannot afford to take on the defence on his/her own or it might upset the balance of the play if not done properly. Despite that majority of the players are technically gifted with homegrown tricks here and there in the play. The centre of the play is considered to be the most important part of the Spectrum where a "five men box" is put into placed by the five interchanging midfielders. Commonly known as the engine room, any long balls or crosses are played out from either of the five players from the box. The five men box forms four triangles that re position when the play changes sides. The man in the centre of the "five men box" would be the playmaker where all of the connecting passes to the attack would be play past to him. The two players behind the centre forward would the interchangeable attacking midfielders who can be used as an inverted winger to support the play from the wings or being an additional targeting support player. The defence is another crucial part of the spectrum, any quick counterattacking play would be played out through the wing backs who are always quick and on their toes. The quick pressing game of the defence puts opposition on pressure as the defence won't give you a second on the ball to think. In the Leones Spectrum, all players are expected to be able to play in all positions as all positions on the pitch are interdependent of each other and interchangeable of each other. It is some sort of a defensive 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-2-1, but it is a style of football where such interchangeable positions would be useful for the players. Any tired player would swap position to a less taxing role in play and recover, one of the tricks to the Spectrum playing style. So its the he Leones Da Spectrum or the Lions spectrum.

OOC: For fair RP bonus attribution, most of the characters included on this roster are from the Doctor Who TV Series (and from a couple of Dr. Who books) and are either real, as in play a part in the series, or just random variations but from the species listed in Dr. Who. Some names will come from the members' list of this thread. For more background info, most of the species should be found on Wikipedia; except for Lazarus, for which you need to search for 'The Lazarus Experiment'. For the Raxacoricofallapatorians, search Slitheen. For Silurian, see 'Cold Blood' or 'The Hungry Earth' (followed by Doctor Who if necessary). For Rory, search 'The Pandorica Opens'.

Manager: Rassilon (Species: Time Lord; the first Lord President of Gallifrey, Rassilon created the Eye of Harmony, which gave the Time Lords their time travelling ability. All in all, he became the foundation of Gallifrey, although that may all be just public relations. He had discovered the secret to immortality, but was deposed by rebellious Time Lords, before going into an eternal sleep in the Tomb of Rassilon, located in the Death Zone. Late on in the Time War, he was seemingly brought back to direct the war efforts, but as he was willing to destroy the Time Vortex and thus the whole of creation [in the Whoniverse, if not all universes], to win the Time War, the Doctor time-locked him and the whole of Gallifrey.)
Assistant Manager: Adam Loftus (Normal human, aged 69; returned to the national team after a break of a few World Cups, but has basically been the behind the many managers there have been since the creation of the team back in World Cup 49 [OOC: a bit like Stuart Pearce of England].)
Coach: Sameer Ahmad (Normal human, aged 50; is the older brother of Shabeen, and also has one of the higher goal counts, but has been much eclipsed by his brother's success.)
Coach and Team blogger:Shabeen Ahmad III (Normal Human, aged 48; has scored over 200 goals for the EL national team, and is still an inspiration to everyone, nearly taking the team to the playoffs in World Cup 58, which has his first foray into full management.)

This team were all taken out of their respective time-lines by Time Scoop technology, so where some may be dead by this time, they are alive at this point in space-time. And it was the ELFA who did this, with the help of its inventor, Rassilon.

Goalkeepers:

Blon Fel-Fotch Pasameer-Day Slitheen: Species: Raxacoricofallapatorian (family: Slitheen); refer to as Blon. Was caught impersonating MI5's Margaret Blaine in 2005 (Earth time), where she and her family members were planning to instigate World War III and turn the planet into fissile material, ready to sell. With the plan destroyed by a well-timed Harpoon missile, she managed to escape, but was the only one. She then went on to become Mayor of Cardiff, using a nuclear plant and the Cardiff Rift to attempt to escape. She did, but in doing so regressed into an egg, and was delivered to the hatcheries on Raxacoricofallpatorius for a second chance at life.

The Abzorbaloff: Species: Unknown, but related to Raxacoricofallapatorians (albeit despising them); Originating from Raxacoricofallapatorius' twin planet, Clom, this particular one came to Earth and tricked a group of humans who were searching for the Doctor to join him, but eventually absorbing them all to satisfy his hunger.

Outfielders (Basically, this lot can play anywhere on the pitch apart from in goal):

Strax: He was a Commander for the Sontaran Military, but was disgraced for an unknown reason, and then was forced to become a nurse by the Doctor, to settle a debt. Has since become a member of the Doctor's Victorian London detective team.

Reaper: Species: Reaper; Flying bat-like creatures with scythe-like tails, the Reapers are extradimensional beings, who have the ability to materialise in normal spacetime when a paradox occurs, devouring everything in the area to repair the damage. They can be stopped by material barriers, the older the better, but not permanently, and a paradox on the other side of the barrier will let them through quicker.

Madame Vastra: species: Silurian; Is another of the people who the Doctor a debt, in this case, it is for saving her from a life of crime and hiding out in the early London underground, and she in turn became a veiled Victorian detective. Part of the Doctor's Victorian detective team.

Creet: species: Toclofane/Human (from the year 100 trillion and reduced to live inside metal balls); With the universe on the brink of ending, a group of humans were building a means of escape to "Utopia". With the help of the Doctor, they managed to do so, but only found darkness, and then they cannibalised themselves into this shape. This particular one was a young boy who worked in the sanctuary.

The Doctor: species: Time Lord, age: last confirmed to be 1103 (although he doesn't really know himself). Words cannot describe this man's life, but as for football, he's had "plenty" of experience, having played a match for the King's Arm Pub League Football team and scoring more than two hat-tricks in that single match (and now World Cups 59 through 62 alongside Copa Rushmoris and Cups of Harmony). Plays mainly up front.

Captain Jack Harkness: species: unknown (very humanoid though); Jack grew up on the Boeshane Peninsula as a kid and joined the Time Agency, but quit after a few years, becoming a con man with a Vortex Manipulator (basic time travel). After meeting the Doctor during the Blitz, Jack dies on Satellite 5 in the year 200,000, but is then brought back to life by the Time Vortex, effectively becoming immortal.

Rory the Plastic Centurion: species: Auton, created by the Nestene Consciousness; refer to as Rory; Dressed up in full Roman armour, Rory has had a miserable past, one that has included being killed, followed shortly after by not being born, followed by becoming a plastic duplicate with a full human consciousness. However, he is rather hardened by all this, and also has a gun in his right hand which he won't use, but will still throw himself into anything nothing less than fully committed.

Raston Warrior Robot: species: None, it is a machine; This robot has been called 'the most perfect killing machine ever devised', being able to move faster than lightning and to kill a troop of Cybermen in seconds. Its face is featureless, and its weapons are collapsible and miniaturizable, and so concealed. For the purposes of this campaign, its weapons have been remotely disarmed, but it still moves faster than normal humans can see.

Pyrovile: species Pyrovile; A humanoid being made of pure magma and volcanic rock, Pyroviles are vicious (albeit quite slow), not to mention being about 5 times the height of average humans when fully grown. Pyroviles originated from the planet Pyrovilia, but crash landed on Earth after their home was lost. They grew in the bowels of Mount Vesuvius, giving some of the locals the power of soothsaying. They planned to convert the entire human race to Pyroviles, and in turn create a new Pyrovilia. As a consequence of his magma nature, all match balls will be lined with lead to prevent them from bursting.

Jenny: species: Human/Time Lord hybrid; The Doctor was taken by the TARDIS to Messaline, where a war was raging between humans and fish-like humanoids called Hath. The Doctor then had his hand put into a progenation machine, used to produce clones for the war, and out came Jenny. She was later on killed by a commander who refused to accept the ceasefire, but then came back to life, having died in the presence of a terraforming device. She was last seen blasting off in the rocket, looking for adventure, and now she's here.

Modified Weeping Angel: species: Weeping Angel; modifications: only becomes a statue when opposition player with the ball is looking at it; No information known as of yet.

Professor Lazarus: Species: Severely mutated human (completely not humanoid at times), refer to as Lazarus; Professor Lazarus was eighty-odd years old, but invented a machine which could manipulate a person's DNA and make them younger. The first demonstration nearly catastrophically fails, but Lazarus emerges much younger. However, his DNA was since found to be unstable, and it showed when Lazarus changed into a scorpion-like creature that drained the life energy of other humans in order to keep him young.

Dalek Sec: Species: Human Dalek (Dalek that has taken on a humanoid form); After the Battle of Canary Wharf, the Cult of Skaro, now armed with the knowledge that they were the last Daleks in existence, escaped to 1930's New York, where they planned to recreate themselves in a humanoid form, by merging symbiotically with kidnapped humans deemed to be of superior intelligence. The leader of the cult, Dalek Sec, was the first to do so, merging with the businessman behind the building of the Empire State Building to form a Human Dalek. The remaining pure Daleks stopped the program upon seeing a Sec having emotions.

Silent: species: The Silence; The Silence is a religious order that believes that Silence will fall when the first question, the oldest question in the universe, is put to the Doctor, on the fields of Trenzelor, where no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer. They attempted to bring down the Doctor through an abducted part Time Lord child (no relation to the Doctor), and kill him in a still point, thus creating a fixed point. But they failed.

Captain Tybo: Species: Judoon; refer to as Tybo; Is a Juddoon captain who crashed on Earth whilst transporting the Juddoon's most wanted criminal, Androvax the Destroyer, wanted for 12 counts of planetary destruction.

Vashta Nerada swarm: species: Vashta Nerada; The are microscopic organisms, which when swarming are completely indistinguishable from shadows, and being highly carnivorous, this plays into their hands. These Vashta Nerada number about 3,000,000, but are compacted into a humanoid form, for fairness. After a Kinitar player had his leg chewed off, the vashta nerada that played in that cup have been swapped for a vegetarian and pescetarian swarm (so fish people/giant vegetables beware).

Home stadium: Lodger City Memorial Stadium (cap. 150,000)
The national stadium of Eastfield Lodge since it was built not too long ago, it was built on the ruins of the old Lodger City, the former capital of Eastfield Lodge which was completely devastated by a nuclear disaster and floods within minutes of each other. It stands as a symbol of a new life, now even more prevalent after a horrible civil war and what not. But the new city has now become the footballing capital of Eastfield Lodge after some of the biggest teams moved in after Dillvill declared independence.

Because I can't be bothered to make a factbook, information about Eastfield Lodge can be found here, although some of it will be out of date. Including the facts that Dillvill declared independence and went back to normal reality, as did half the country's empire. And the fact that we are now located somewhere in Rushmore.

OOC:Italic means a sound effect, something added in radio shows that tend to be more bound to comedy.
Whenever an URL video is linked, it's supposed to explain what the song is based off and not what the ficticious song actually is. It's an easier way to explain what the guest is like.

A little info in this, though. While Kitsunia-Deesse may look like a dictatorship when you look at the data, the country is actually pretty free aside from the religion. So here we have the Wacky Kru, a program that has jumped from radio to radio until eventually landing in COOL FM 99.4, one of the many anglóphone radios in the country, based mostly around the population of Pokemons and Basswulfs but not limited to the Kitsunes that also know English due to their ties to the Unzucneru Association.

Back in the past, they were risqué and have not changed that much until sticking out with their actual radio. They have a cult of followers due to their extremeness but still manage to respect autorities and La Déesse, as usual.

Wacky Kru in the Playhouse
with Felix Montelongo and Olvey Montreal

Felix Montelongo: HE-LLO, KITSUNIA! I'm Felix Montelongo and Welcome to the greatest night-talk show in the heart of the hidden lands, Wacky Kru in the Playhouse! With me, as always, the mouth of the underground, Olvey Montreal!
Olvey Montreal: That's me, but you already knew that. OLE!
FM: And also with us, the Kadabra with the deepest voice to ever be born in the Western Suburbs of Tokyoto, Mistah K!
Mistah K: Yo, Ki-tsu-nia!
FM: Also, the Jolteon that drives us home after happy-hour, "Pretty Boy" Spark Ellecid.
Spark Ellecid: That's not my nickname, you jack-
OM: Yeah, it's good to have you here, but you already knew that. OLE!
FM: And to complete the Wacky Kru for tonight and as a guest... This half-Jigglypuff, half-Ouriçinne has become a hit in the musical scenario here in Kitsunia and is slowly earning fans in Northern Sunrise Islands, please welcome, Amelie Jigglinne!
The first accords of a song that should just be simply untitled by Amelie Jiggline plays as she sits close to Mistah K and Spark Ellecid.
Amelie Jiggline: Hello, Kitsunia-Deesse! It's good to be here on the Wacky Kru, one of the most historical radio shows of our nation. Thanks for having me.
MK: Jee-yah, babe!
SE: It's good to have you here, also, it's good to be able to notice a smell that doesn't resemble rotten pizza or beer. Seriously, guys. Am I the only one who actually takes a bath everyday?
OM: I take a bath everyday too, but... well, you know. OLE!
FM: It's our honor to have such a skilled singer, Madam Jiggline.
OM: So, what do we got for today, Montelongo?
FM: We got stuff on the last declarations of Quicville, who know is thinking about separating themselves from Kitsunia-Deesse...
OM: To become a "Kingdom-Empire-of-Entire-Honest-and-True-Power", like that idiot mayor of theirs used to say until suicide?
SE: Probably. Sorta. It's not like they could just become an Emirate, right? They kinda got better after he died and those creatures of his got sent to Mobian Nations. Saw some of those when I was younger in a zoo at Matthewsiania. Really freaky.
FM: Yeah, we also got some stuff on the new movie of PokéStudios, Pikachu Avenger and the Lover Diamond and also something on the Copa Rushmori's groups for this year's edition.
MK: We shuda talk bout that CLEAAAAAR STREIGHT, BOY! Yeah, boi!
AJ: I agree with him.
FM: So, let's go with Jerry "Gold" Sioux with the groups of the tournament. Hello, Jerry.
MK: SUP, BOI!
Jerry Sioux: It's always good to be here, guys. So, let's dive right in the groups sorted for the cup, shall we?
OM: Yeah, yeah, sure.
JS: Well, our group is decently tough, as we got Boring Paradise, Ancharmunn and Mytannion.
AJ: Isn't Boring Paradise that national team that has Vulpine Sportif supplying them? I remember that they have re-opened their storefront recently.
SE: It's always sunny on Shamelessplugland if we keep going this way, Miss.
MK: Sah, we got them grate chairs, rite?
FM: Oh, yeah. And those nice food that they serve in stadiums.
OM: Yeah, the one that get you ill and stuff. Let me tell you one thing, though. Be not alarmed if we fail, it's all a conspiracy.
SE: ...What?
OM: Yeah! ...But you probably knew that already. OLE!
SE: Wait... Are you talking seriously?
OM: Not, just figured out I'd mess with ya. Though that whole Margaret stuff is just bull, it's probably some zany machine controlled by some strange thing that creates scores for stuff and the match end up reaching the score just as it is told. It's probably fed by rubber chickens.
AJ: Don't say that. We don't have the right to diss the religion of others. Remember the mess with the Violetists?
MK: Shah, Nobodi wants to return to those dayz!
FM: Yeah. While we believe in our dear godess La Déesse and understand that she has bigget issues than sports, we need to understand how stuff rolls around there.
SE: I don't expect us to go that far. Like, yeah, we have good players, but the opposition has guys that are paid to play and have been raised to do that.
JS: Technically yes, but you can't forget that they are just ordinary beings in the World like us. Nothing really outstanding, just some skill on something we don't have or the opposite. Also, our league is going pro in the future, no worries.
FM: Indeed, indeed. Let's have some Bat Country as we go for a little break here, this is the Wacky Kru in The Playhouse here on COOL FM 99.4, the Breeze of Soleis.

Continued from here.

Three questions. That's all it was. Three little questions, yes or no. Yes or no, yes or no, yes or no. Job done. That's it. You'd be surprised how long some people could stretch that out into.

The curtain twitched, and voter number 361 of the day walked out. Agnetha looked up, and with a flick of her finger, beckoned the next person in the queue towards her. She scanned the form, and pointed wordlessly towards the booth. Voter number 362 entered, and

Three questions.

"Do you want Külmsaar to remain a part of the Federation of Polar Islandstates?" Yes or no.

"Do you want Külmsaar to enter the dominion and rule of Sargossa?" Yes or no.

"Do you want Külmsaar to break from the Union of Külmsaar and Terra Scotia to become its own self-determining nation?" Yes or no.

Simple. And yet for some people, that was apparently a difficult thing to think about. For most, they'd thought about their answers before coming in. Agnetha liked those people. They reminded her of herself. Efficient. For the others, however, it was as if they'd never read the questions before. It wasn't as if you'd have been able to avoid the referendum in the news at any point since it had been announced, or avoid the fact that, you know, Sargossa had basically invaded half of the islands. The referendum had been a compromise of stunning proportion. Months had passed, and still neither side had shown any signs of being willing to tip the tense military balance on either side of the Natalis Straits. It was an easily defensible stretch of water, and both sides knew that. As long as they held their side, the other side would struggle to make any sort of headway at all. It was stalemate. Staler than that, nobody had even started plans to re-build the bridge yet. The Külmsaari people on both sides of the Straits that would rather have been on the other side would just have to wait.

Agnetha looked up. Still no curtain twitch. She looked down again. The papers were doing a big feature on the Copa Rushmori. Yes, Copa Rushmori time already. She'd missed the excitement of the World Cup entirely thanks to 'What Sargossa Did', and now there was another tournament on the horizon. Hopefully she'd get a bit more of the action this time. Still no curtain twitch. She glanced at the group draw. Krytenia, Old Guard, Mashiki. Krytenia first. A tough draw, but a winnable one. And the Terns could do it. She hoped.

No curtain twitch, still. What was going on in there exactly? There was a cough behind her, and Agnetha turned to look at the foreign gentleman behind her making notes. Independent adjudicators from countries all around Rushmore were keeping a close tie on the voting procedures on both sides of the now heavily fortified Natalis Straits, and however many reservations Agnetha had about the Sargie bastards, she just had to trust the adjudicators to keep them right.

And besides, she had twice as much faith in the people of Külmsaar to make the right choices. They were the put upon ones here, right? There were easily more Polarian-leaning Külmsaaris in the east than there were Sargossans in the west. Right? All the Sargossan sympathisers should do the rest of them a favour and just emigrate.

The curtain twitched. Voter number 362 had finally made a decision. Agnetha looked up, and flicked her finger. Voter number 363 walked forwards.

An easy process. An efficient process. A process Agnetha could get behind. Not least because she was sure the process would return the verdict she was hoping for. Of course, that was exactly the same thought process that the Sargossans were currently experiencing.

By the end of the following evening, they'd know.

Certainly, both sides were confident. And, again, presumably both sides would have been able to accept the voting results if they did go in an unwanted way - it wouldn't be what they'd wanted, but they could accept the results as the will of the people, and the actions could be taken. But, nobody was expecting the results that would be read out in by the returning officers the next day...

A long time ago in a continent not so far away...

Copa Rusmori XIV

It is a period of civil war. Football fans huff despondently. When once Queer Poco el Mono Ara was a force to be reckoned with in international football, they are now a virtual non-entity.
During the summer ardent fans have taken it upon themselves to return The Whites to the international stage and journey to TAESHAN to compete in the 14th edition of the Copa Rushmori.
Contravening the new government's ban on international travel 18 men (coaching staff and players of former amateur side Bartford Town) have stolen aboard an illegally chartered boat and set sail for Taeshan to represent their once great nation.

Representing Queer Poco el Mono Ara in Copa Rushmore XIV:

Unfortunately the team is lacking their usual kit and will be playing in whatever t-shirts and shorts combination they can get hold of unless they can find a donor willing to lend them a kit to play in. Having packed in a haste they’re also lacking other essentials and might be on the scrounge if any other coach/kit man/ physio has anything they’d be willing to lend them through the duration of the group stage.

Football Commission of Aels

While the Football Commission of Aels had been looking forward to make its international senior debut at the Copa Rushmori, the awarding of the hosting rights of the tournament to Taeshan has not been formally recognised by the Aelsh government's Culture and Media Affairs Office which oversees sport in the country. As a result, the FCA have been told to name an under-strength side short of a full boycott.

Recently-appointed national team manager Sergyei Arefev has been told to stay behind in Aels training with the rest of the national team to prepare for upcoming World Cup qualifiers, while his assistant manager and former national representative team manager Cameron Walsh takes charge of the side being sent to Taeshan.

Rhodri Evans – who plays internationally in Eura – is the only major name in the Copa Rushmori squad of 23, and has also been appointed captain.

Presents
The Carmadin Team for Copa Rushmori XIV

As the nation of Carmadin gears up to send a squad to the most prestigious regional tournament in the world once more, some may be surprised at the changes seen in Carmadin organization and play. The change perhaps most conspicuous at the moment is above this text, and that's the lack of diacritics and abundance of languages announcing the team. As much of the world finally begins to see what occurred in Carmadin during the absence of a few years, we will take this time to clarify some basic points that will be helpful when viewing the FFC/FFK/KMR/CFF dispatch.
-As you may know or will soon learn, the terroristic group known only as the "Liberty Faction" seized control of Carmadin for a short time. During that time, however, they made great pushes to "liberate" the ethnic groups of Carmadese. These include the Movjans (also known as "Carmadin Ukrainians") and Skangans. Part of this so-called "liberation" was the abolishment of Carmadese, the instituting of Ŋrècrara (The first language you see) as the national language (Ŋrècrara is believed to be the ancient language first spoken in Carmadin), and instituting Movjan and Skanga as other languages. The Carmadese government retook control, but the havoc wreaked by the LF has yet to be repaired, and most of the "damage" is likely irreversable.
-Because of this, player's nationalities (Carmadese, Movjan, Skangan, or Other) are given in this roster.

After the Falcon's sub-par performance in the World Cup 63 qualifiers and their terrible showing in the Thirteenth Copa Rushmori, the Falconian FA nearly collapsed in on itself. The FA Chairwoman declared a state of emergency and the remaining staff that survived mass layoffs gathered at their mysterious grounds deep in the midland planes, where they tried to sort themselves out out of the public's eye. The team has been restructured and retrained, and we're hoping that they can turn this whole mess around playing in the almost-home-field of Taeshan, just across the bay from Nestingham. They'll have to do it without a manager, however--Jack Laughton was laughed out of the position after bombing in the last CR, Kurth Arma (who led the first Falconian team in a CR) recently retired, and none of the other club managers want to deal with all these shenanigans.

Military facility, somewhere in Puerto Sargossa (formerly Stanley), Sargossan Kűlmsaar

On a football pitch in far off Taeshan Sargossan international striker Mariano Estrada jinked passed a Dagan defender. He attempted an elaborate step-over to fool another. It didn’t end well.

“Oh take the damn shot already!”

In the centre of the room a large gentleman in army fatigues slowly draw his sidearm from its holster and carefully levelled it at the head of a figure who sat slumped in a chair, strangely placed smack bang in the middle of what was an otherwise sparsely furnished space.

“No, wait!” The owner of the voice had caught the movement out of the corner of his eye and reacted in the nick of time. “Not you. Idiota. There’s seven minutes until half time. Just stand there and don’t do anything.”

The remaining minutes of the half ticked away, with Sargossa and Cassadaigua finely poised at one goal apiece in the opening game of the Copa Rushmori. As the whistle blew the picture faded to black as a man in the olive green uniform of a Sargossan army officer rounded the desk he’d been sat at and perched himself on the front. He studied the slumped form before him, flanked by two muscled military thugs. He inclined his head towards the seated figure and on cue one of his henchmen buried his right fist into the figure's stomach, causing him to double over even further. The thug then took the stricken man’s head by the hair and dragged him up straight, gasping for breath all the way. Coloured skin around his face and a trickle of blood from the nose suggested this wasn’t the start of his torment.

“I must confess.” The officer looked him in the eye. “This has been one of my more frustrating assignments. Normally it’s relatively simple. Foreign governments, you know, those nice ones who criticise as in public but quietly utilise our services on the sly? Well they fly in some suspected dissident or terrorist or some such to a quiet facility on Curamunga and I have all their questions answered, efficiently if not entirely quickly. Or cleanly. But what to do with you?”

He nodded again in signal and another fist crunched into a cheek.

“Apparently there is no information you can give us. We know who you are, we know where you come from. We know your entire service history. You have nothing. And yet, all I’ve been told is I can’t let you die. Which is slightly upsetting after what you and your fellow horse botherers did outside Natalis. But no. You must live, and we must wait.”

He returned to his seat behind the desk and rested his booted feet on the desktop. Another nod and another sickening thud.

“But no one said you had to be comfortable.”

The TV crackled back into life as the officer settled down to watch the second half. A deathly silence settled over the darkened room, broken only by the occasional rasp of the seated prisoner and a sudden burst of noise that greeted a second Sargossan goal over in distant Taeshan. Out of nowhere the phone at the officer’s elbow started to ring.

“Seriously?” He glared at it. “We’ve been here days and they ring during the football.”

He muted the set and answered the phone. “Si. Uh-huh. I can’t seeing him going for that, do with have any leverage? Really, where? That explains the delay. Ok, I’ll let our newest political asset know.”

He carefully returned the headset to its rightful place and left the desk again to retake his place before his prisoner, hands clasped firmly behind his back.

“How nice, it would appear we’ve found you some employment. I’m sure you’re aware of this upcoming referendum.” He spat out the word. “Ah, or possibly not. Well while you’ve been enjoying our hospitability the powers that be have decreed that the public will decide the fate of this grotty little island. But, you see, the problem is elections. We’re just no good at them. That’s why we got rid of them years ago. Because nothing of any import should be decided by the public. For they are, on the whole, utter cretins. Pig headed, narrow minded and fickle beyond belief. Which is where you come in.

“For who better to champion our cause than one of their own? A war hero no less. Ah, no. We don’t use that word. But you take my meaning. You, the brave warrior who stood against us suddenly seeing the light. You put your life on the line to protect them on behalf of a distant government who simply don't care about you or them. Imagine how poignant that would be. We can bang on about our low taxes and legalised gambling until the walruses come home but coming from you it might actually land. With you as the shepherd the herd will come running.”

A gob of bloody phlegm landed next to his boot.

“Hmm, yes. I had a feeling you’d say that. And of course, much like your dull countryfolk you are free to choose. But before you make that choice you may wish to consider something. We control the west, from the straits to the coast. All of it. That includes Porvenir. You know Porvenir? The town where your sister lives with her two very sweet children. We have her in custody now in fact. Probably in a room not entirely unlike this one. And if I decide that you’ve chosen poorly I’ll make one quick phone call. And she will suffer.”

He crouched down, bringing their eyes level.

“And trust me. That is something we are good at.”

Dixhuitais team ties against Pasarga

May 17, 2013, Taeshan, Taeshan - Our chance in the Copa Rushmori XIV has started once and for all! The tournament will have a Home-and-Away knockout and eight groups of four. Clearly our team is going to Taeshan! Our first game is with Pasarga. The goals by Pasarga were scored 21 and 46 minutes into the game. The goals by Dixhuitiles were scored by Richard Hammond, 33 and 66 minutes into the game. Clearly it had ended in a tie. Now we have no telling if we will get into the knockouts, and we're totally sure we will even get past the quarterfinals.
OOC: The goalscorers for Pasarga cannot be defined because Pasarga currently has no roster.
