Sorry for not having the roster up in time, it will be up this evening as I thought I had today to do it.

But at least I remembered to sign up.

You aren't the only one, I was 100% positive (I'm now only 90% positive) that Matchday 1 was on Feb 6. Oh well, win's a win.

Yeah, you two get to enjoy a win, but I lose 3-1 to a nation I've never heard of. It makes me want to cry. :( :p

This is sort of wierd.

Margaret seems to like me, doesn't she? I mean, really...Fanboyist teams being good?! WTF?!

Seriously, though, what's with this?! First the World Bowl, then the WLC (haha, lacrosse), now this.

I'm going to lose my also-ran status if this keeps up!

Eizen, go ahead and do the two game exhibition series between our teams when good for you.

Use this roster for us
WINNER of the 1st International Basketball Championships, 7th Di Bradini Cup, & the 4th World Lacrosse Championships!
RUNNERUP in Baptism of Fire 30 and World Baseball Classic 10.
HOST of World Bowl 6, International Basketball Championships 6, and Baptism of Iron 6. (Hosting a 6th version of something? Call us.) Also, World Baseball Classic 12 and World Lacrosse Championships 3.
Qualified for World Cups 49-52.

All arrogant, stuck-up, conceded or whatever comments I make in roleplay are always in-character and should not be interpreted as also being the out-of-character attitude of the person controlling the nation. My nation is my attempt to mock people I have to deal with often at work.

You realize I don't have a scorinator or anything, and that my team is just using this as a chance to halfheartedly grope your entire roster correct?

The Secristan Department of Sports is out an enormous amount of money by their failure to sign up for this event. Therefore, they need to do some damage control, and by putting these games on pay-per-view, they can get something back. They couldn't care less what actually happens to the ladies, and even though some of them may not like it (but some will), the SDOS doesn't really care. Violating a direct order of the SDOS could carry a life sentence in prison so they know not to say no.

QoD said he would be willing to scorinate friendlies too.

Important announcement: On consideration, I have, as I originally mentioned, decided to insert an additional off day. I really do apologise, as I know how frustrating long group stages are, but there is no way I will be in a fit state to scorinate on the 8th. As such, there will be no scorination on 8th February. Matchday 4 will be moved back to 9th February, and the schedule adjusted accordingly.

The schedule has been updated, and an IC justification provided. I apologise again for the inconvenience.

I would like some advice from some more seasoned hosts than myself (or at least, someone's input). The forum was obviously down for several hours prior to the MD3 cutoff, presumably preventing from RPing some people who would have done so otherwise. However, the next day is scheduled as an off-day anyway. That said, I suspect a certain RL sporting event might prove something of an obstacle over the next cycle anyway.

Because prolonging the group stage yet another day just makes the clash with the Winter Olympics/World Cup more pronounced, my inclination is to cutoff for MD3 and do a scorination now, and continue the schedule as normal after that. Would that be unfair, or a terrible break from established tradition? I can't remember having personally been involved in tournaments disrupted by external factors such as prolonged site downtime before, but I imagine others have.

The fact that tomorrow was going to be an offday compounds it a little bit. The forum was down though at a peak time for RP's, and if the next day wasn't going to be an offday this would be an easy decision for me to just say not scorinate.

If possible, and I am going on my own time zone clock that says that current time is 11:15am, I would announce an evening scorination today. Say between 4 - 6 pm. Some will still be shutout, but it at least provides somewhat of a chance.

I'd wait until Tuesday for the MD 3 cutoff personally.

You already announced Monday is a day off. The outage for NS prevented a lot of people from RPing. Some of us likely won't want to RP today because of Super Bowl Sunday.

That's my take. Not that I'm any more seasoned than you are as a host...

Sigh, yes, that's what I thought the response might be. I'm afraid I can't take up Newmanistan's original suggestion as I am heading out for the evening, so yes, I think just pushing everything back again is the only option. Once more, I apologise, but this time it really wasn't under my control.

Matcday 3 will now be scorinated on Tuesday 9th February, and the schedule has been updated accordingly.

I'd (if I were hosting this thing) just count yesterday's outage as an off day, (since no one had axcess), And back everything up a day to compensate.

Dancougar, who was that Leo Cashman you reference in your roleplays? I'm just pondering if some kind of family tie with Nick Cashman from my basketball theme might be possible. ;)

He was the intern who committed suicide -- or so we were told -- during WCoH 10 after I did one of my classic botched RPs against Sarzonia. I had an idea and decided to run with it in this cup. I just hope I time all of the evidence so that the truth is unveiled by the end of quals.

Alright, I remember that happening, I just thought the guy's name was something else. Seems a little late in the game on both of our ends to add some connection though. Earlier, it could have been interesting motivation for Nick's inner hatred of Brittany Allison, but yeah, too late in the game now!

Sorry today's RP cutoff was so late; technical difficulties (ICly, Antarctic Death Otters attacked the Internet cables; OOCly, I got stuck on a bus).

As a reminder, as we're at the halfway stage, the top 2 teams in each group plus the top 4 highest placed losers from any groups go to the playoffs.

My RPing is going to be a bit spotty over the next few days (not that it has helped me much over this past 3 gm losing streak). Just got hit with the flu from hell and I can barely see straight neough to type this post.

IC explanation for the lack of Eizen NAtional News? We're waging yet another annexation campaign against a neighboring nation and war is the only sport bigger than hockey in Eizen.

Does anyone know if QoD is alright? I only ask because the scorination of Day 7 is pretty late, and the last time there was major lateness in something like this, Bluth had gone and hurt himself, so...
