Which reminds me. We haven't even defined our country's standard of living, average GDP, or anything like that.

I propose an average GDP of $100,000 NSD a year. Because that would equal $50k USD, which seems reasonable (or is that too high? Living in the most expensive part of my country has skewed my understanding of cost of living) and also 100,000 is an easy number to work with.

That would actually be 200,000 USD, the exchange rate is 0.50 NSC to 1 USD, not the other way around.

So one NSC would be worth 2 USD.

This is not official yet though, so take it with a grain of salt.

That will mess up our tax rates. The National Tax Act was designed with the value of the USD in mind.

There's no question about that. The only thing a 50 USD minimum wage would do is driving business costs through the roof and cause large amounts of unemployment, as lower-end (well in this case, lower and middle) workers can't find employment.

Just make the minimum wage 5-10 USD an hour.

I mentioned this earlier when the national banking legislation was up for debate.

I still think we should just peg our currency to the USD, at least at first, so it's easy to reference quantities of money in bills and such.

Yeah that would be the best solution for the time being until we have the time to look at it properly.

AUTHORIZATION OF USE OF FORCE AGAINST THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, TO BRING THEM DEMOCRACY, AND GIVE US THEIR OIL

RECOGNIZING that we have no oil
KNOWING that Saudi Arabia does
AGGRIEVED because they refuse share it with us
This act authorizes unrestrained use of force against Saudi Arabia, so as we may occupy and colonize them, take their oil, and bring them freedom from their oppressive theocratic regime

There, I think everybody can get behind this. :P

True, but invading Saudi Arabia will likely just end up with us being beaten into a pulp.

We can't just stand in front of the World Community and say: " Yeah guys, we don't have any oil anymore, so we'll just invade Saudi Arabia. We expect you not to do anything about it. Especially the US and Europe, you guys definitely won't do anything about it."

We can't just do that. If you want to start an invasion, we'll have to speak to other nations and have good reasons.
