Don't forget the USLP. :P

Their mini-alliance with all the other factions vs. the Progress coalition on the paramilitary thing is what worries me the most.

The USLP is pretty Stalinist. They support the banning of all other political parties and killing of dissenters (seriously, it's in their platform in their HQ) and in general they've been unwilling to work with other parties (wouldn't join the Progress Coalition, every party member must vote for the USLP candidate). Other than that though, they aren't all bad, and I suspect they could be key to the Progress Coalition's success- in the second round of voting, the USLP is almost certain to vote for Aeken over Regnum Dominae or Zweite Alaje.

I had thought about that. Lets hope they do. And banning parties? Very democratic.

It's basically the PC versus paramilitaries and anti-admins.

Pretty much.

I'm confident that rationality will prevail, in the end, like it always does. So I guess I shouldn't worry too much.

The NIFP and the USLP, for all the rhetoric seem to be strange allies on most issues. It's certainly odd to watch.

If you could show your knowledge in social contract and judicial affair by drafting a legislation regarding them, it would help the party leader to make a more informed decision regarding your request for considering you as a minister.

I have actually drafted and posted a draft of Ministry Policy here.

Very well. I'll open it up to a vote. Lanos and Finium have stated their interest in Ministerial postings. Finium wishes to challenge Othelos (who has stated interest in the position of Minister of Justice as well), whilst Lanos may make it a 3-way race or a may challenge either Costa Alegria for Minister of the Interior or The Realm of God for Minister of Defense. Is anyone else considering running?

Per my previous stance, I cast my vote for Othelos.

Minister of Justice
Othelos: 1
Finium: 0

Nonsense! We support sending dissidents to labour camps. Entirely different.

And how have we been unwilling to work with others? Pretty much all USLP-proposed bills (PLEA, retirement & pensions, etc) are the result of compromises. We do, however, refuse to participate in any executive coalition in any form and to remain our independence against the social-democrats, unlike the 'communist' party.

I'd like to ask party members that if you have a response to this, please don't make it on this thread. Thank you. I don't want this thread to be clogged up by an interparty debate.

I do hope you'll consider joining us in opposing this and, if not, changing your name to the Progressive-Liberal Party.

So being realistic makes us liberal? I'm morally opposed to prostitution. However, it's a public safety issue because there are always going to be prostitutes; we need to prevent the spread of STD's as much as we can and this is a big way in which we can do that.

I'm going to have withdraw my name from the list of possible Ministers of Justice, and I give my support to Finium, in order to fulfill my end of a bargain I made with him a while ago.
