Good morning/afternoon/evening, ladies, gentlemen and bonobos.

I would like to start off this speech by congratulating our party for getting so quickly back on track. Even at such a dark time, we manage to prosper!

Chairman Divair's resignation was a shock to all of us, and comes at a fragile time for Aurentina, a time where we are still trying to pass key legislation, and where dangerous paramilitary organizations are on the rise. Fellow Senators, it doesn't matter what party you are, whether you are LibDem, TR, ProgCon, Communist, Monarchist, it is not the time for pointless partisan bickering and mudslinging. We must unite in a common cause, to build up our fledgling government system.

In the coming months, I wish to cooperate with both parties that share our views, and parties that don't, on a pan-Aurentinan solution to our current problems, a solution for the next generation to enjoy, and a decisive mark to be left on the face of our Earth. A mark of equality, freedom, justice! A world where we can all look back and say: "We did a good job".

I cannot stress enough how much multipartisan cooperation will be critical in such a massive project. Continued cooperation between the progressive centre-left and centre-right, through any and all channels, will be endlessly important in the coming volatile months. We need to think about the future, and what world we want to leave behind for the next generation, and beyond!

Guys, calm down. There is literally no point in getting all butthurt over a Monarchist coming into our thread and making a statement of opinion. Likewise, there is literally no point in said monarchist coming into our thread, period.

But that's beside the point. If we want to be taken seriously, we must take others seriously. That means no flamebaiting, no "operation fuck you fascists" and definitely no butthurt. Let's keep this calm and civil.
