Killing animals for food is perfectly fine. Animals classified as SN can only be killed if they are extremely dangerous, and never eaten due to infectant risk, or the chance that the SN is simply inedible.

Animals are legally expected to be killed humanely, though words of respect are not expected or common.

Some animals are used in testing of SN, and if they are killed in the process they are not eaten afterwards for the same reasons SN are not eaten. It seems cruel, but SN sometimes react very differently to animals and all risks have to be tested.

And a cannibal, apparently, which isn't advancing your argument as well as you might think.

Quite. It disturbs me that people think anybody who broaches subjects like this must be female.

Sorry, but you seem to be shooting down your own argument there. First you argue that humans aren't "better" than animals and then you say we shouldn't kill them because we're different? You're also insulting those animals like lions and tigers which are part of the "natural cycle" and do kill and eat animals.

We're mostly vegetarians. If an animal needs to be turned into food, though, Mama will take care of it for us.

JOY unit does not understand the logic.

Animals upon death do not have any brain function. Before death they do not acknowledge your respect. After death they do not acknowledge your respect.

Though JOY unit also does not understand the logic of funerals for humans for the same reason- after death, they cannot care, and providing them with a grave is a waste of resources and space.

Instead, JOY unit uses all meat available.

If they said they were a boy, then it means they are a homosexual, and must be treated accordingly. A proper, civilised man does not show any sympathy for his lessers.

Incorrect.

While JOY unit agrees that mankind is better than most other species, a singular man is not better than a singular animal. Both are a single unit in a society, serving different, but necessary roles.

Living beings are simply resources.

Individual humans can be less useful than animals. Animals are forced into serving their role as a resource, but humans are given a choice, and would rather choose not to serve their role.

Resources who will not serve their role are useless.

JOY unit believes that both humans and animals should be forced into their respective roles without a choice out of it, as this is the only way to ensure that all living beings as a resource are being used correctly.

Mankind is greater than animal kind, but resources are equally important.

JOY unit is perfection.

JOY unit cannot be questioned.

It is quite true that any society worthy of the name requires a heirarchy of some kind, but nations such as yours first pervert the overall concept, and then proceed to take it to an extreme.

Kawaiians, of course, have appropriate prayers and ceremonies for almost every occasion, including slaughtering animals for food.

We'd like to point out, though, that our way of honoring our food animals comes before their deaths, not after. According to Kawaiian religious law, it is impermissible to exact labor from an animal designated for food. This extends all the way to not milking cows or gathering eggs from hens--in both cases, you would be making the animal perform labor for you. Kawaiian farms, therefore, are quite humane--chickens are raised "free range" and are allowed to brood naturally, cows nurse their calves until they're fully weaned, and no animal designated for the dinner table is required to pull a plow or do anything other than eat, rest, breed, and get fat for the time they must eventually give up their lives for us.

Meat, like any other commodity, is mass produced throughout Tachibana Industries' land holdings, so no. That would only add time to the production process.

No animals are required to pull a plow around here, either, really. That is not due to some religious law. We just have tractors. Considering a fairly large portion of the economy is in farms, that's really nice for us in the long run. Even dairy farms can use tractors.

Individuals usually do, although its usually more along the lines of giving thanks for their ability to kill it...

The large farms usually dont bother...
