"I mean the cyborg type of tech, while we have successfully created semi-intelligent robots, which is as far we'd like to go, with the ability to walk and talk, and we've traveled to Pluto, we've never really succeeded at creating any type of cyborg."

Lucis chuckled, "Lives and information. That is the standard price for such knowledge. we don't accept the currency of many other nations so new subject and information is always the best bet. The prices differ for every house but that will be the baseline." He sighed, "Jason you might have your fancy nanocrystals and all that but I can guarantee you that our cybernetics are quite unique to us. I doubt he'd find anything approaching our quality on earth."

Jose then says dismissively, "No, in fact we humans and dinosaurs have co-existed greatly for over 50 years, I in fact, since being raised by a Utahraptor family, have been a great ambassador to human-dinosaur relations, of course you still got your T-Rex, Utahraptor, and Human supremacist groups but their easily put down, prohibition sure helps with control, with recreational drugs, drinking alcohol, and smoking, all banned and punishable by over 2 years in prison."

"Really?" said Osman, walking from the car, dusting himself off. "From what I've seen, the places that allow drugs have less drug consumption per capita. Thats why we allow drugs. If you go anywhere in Khartumian Min, there are stores that sell cannabis, for use in medicine, tribal pipes, and cooking. There are hookah bars, opium dealers, and more. Yet almost all people who use those, which are not a majority, use them wisely. Even the rebellious teens don't abuse the softcore drugs. The hard core drugs are virtually untouched. Countries with extensive bands just find more of the rebellious who try to make themselves popular by breaking the laws."

Andreas was perplexed "We don't have many drug users in Saintland. Most of the people arrested for drug use in the Kingdom are caught trying to smuggle drugs into the Kingdom. A few years ago, Customs apparently missed some plant. I think it was cannabis. A month or so later, it turned out that somebody was selling cigarettes made from that illegal plant. I think they were caught outside of a Church of Saintland school in St. Paulus after a student at the school informed the authorities. The dealer was arrested and he eventually led the authorities to his accomplices, probably after a lengthy enhanced interrogation session. As you'd expect, the drug dealer and his accomplices were jailed. His customers were presumably found and sent to reform schools. Youthful rebellion only happens when authority figures are too lenient. That is a mistake the authorities in Saintland do not make."

Osman laughed. "Drug related arrest at a school? Marijuana? We've found that people under the influence of drugs are actually really good at writing and science. Look at all the poets and scientists in the years before the 1850s. Quite a few would use opium, marijuana, and certain fungi liberally as a source of excellent creativity. We don't encourage drug use at school, because of the negative effects it has on the entire classroom, and very few actually do, but still. It seems a little ironic.

"Cybernetic and robotic Implants, eh" Jose says interested and then, "Companies that steal tech, rather than contributing? is your country capitalist by the way?" with hate in his eyes at the thought of companies messing with progress.

He shrugged, "That might be so but who's to say we haven't taken it from countries who have taken from you and made it better? You aren't the only nation that possess's sophisticated technology. And I doubt you cybernetics give you the complete immersion into things that ours do." Lucis chuckled, "But I guess alien tech might be nice, but I prefer our own more than other nations that we have run across who wanted to trade." He looked over at Jose, "Other countries steal from his, and we happen to pick up what they left out." Lucis paused, "Is there something wrong with capitalism?"

Tito and Leon weren't really paying attention to what was going on around them. Tito was gripping Leon's leash rather tightly while staring out the window. He was a bit disturbed by the conversation the group had about parents. Leon on the other hand, was staring out the other window, blankly, while drumming on his lap. It was obvious that he was about to fall asleep again. They hadn't even noticed that the car just crashed.
