So you're saying shooting paper targets is violent? Seriously?

Sigh. Basic terminology 101: "Classroom" meaning "wherever the teachers/students are".

incorrect. A classroom is very different from 'wherever teachers and students are"

Not in context. If they're on a school trip, the teachers have precisely the same authority there as they do in a classroom (possibly plus a few extra bits and pieces to deal with safety and the likes). The same goes for pretty much anywhere else where they are the only adults around and are responsible for the safety of the children.

He was arrested! He wasn't given a detention or suspended by the school, he was charged with a crime!

No he wasn't.

Look guys, its not the shirt that matters. The gun of the shirt made it seem violent. He should have done as she said, then talk to the principal about it.

A picture of a gun does not make something violent.

I'm sure you'll be able to perform mental gymnastics to get around the fact that shooting literally anything is violent by its very nature.

I'm not going to bother with it anymore, so feel free to prove the point. Literally nothing we say will ever convince them that there may be another side of this worthy of discussion.

Probably because every arguement your side makes against gun ownership is based on:

1. Constantly referring to specific types of firearms using non-existing categories, like referring to semi-automatic sporting rifles as "assault weapons".

2. Stereo-typing gun owners in general as tin foil hat wearing red necks.

3. Lie about a gunshow loophole.

4. Calling certain types of ammunition "cop killer bullets".

5. Making arbitrary statements like "nobody needs an ar-15" or "you don't need a 30 round clip"
( 10 rounds in Bloomberg's case). Well, then in that case lets ban exotic sports cars since nobody needs to travel over 180 mph.

6. Bringing the "then it should also be legal to own nukes" arguement and expect to win.

7. Ignoring the fact that gun sales skyrocketing sends a clear message that the majority doesn't want anymore "feel-good, do-nothing" gun laws.

8. Think that banning cosmetic features somehow will completely change how deadly the firearm is.

9. Ignoring the fact that getting fully automatic weapons have been tightly regulated since 1934.

Just some thoughts.
What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Do the paper targets not take damage from the impact of bullets(assuming one can hit them)?

Sorry, you must be lost. This thread isn't about gun ownership in any way, shape, or form.

This is a clear violation of rights established in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, and no matter how much this school disagrees with the shirt, they have no right to arrest someone for expressing their political views.

So, stating facts that are contrary to your positions is outrage? I am not outraged for the simple fact that there is no grounds to arrest this kid and he will be released soon, if he hasn't already.

I remember my school days, they used to make people remove or turn inside out clothing if they didn't like it, it was a fairly arbitrary dress code too, but they never once arrested anyone. If a kid refused to comply, they'd just let him go about his day, and give that brat his choice of detention of saturday school. This is way overstepping boundaries.

Pages one doesn't read and pages that never happened have about the same impact on one's position, I've found.

Quibble over what to call it, persisting in this vein of posting without even the vaguest familiarity with the story or thread is not making you look good.

See, things like this make you look really silly. It says in the article in the OP that the kid was released 30 minutes after being arrested. You obviously didn't read it. You obviously didn't read the thread. Yet here you are, posting about clear violations of First Amendment rights.

I....don't. But then again, I'm not a child, and have long since past the point in my life where being "edgy" in highschool was a thing.
