Would you eat this?

It's a 14 year old hamburger from, I believe, McDonald's. It's not moldy. Bugs haven't touched it. Even bacteria avoided it. It's hard as a rock, though. Now I haven't eaten McDonald's "food" for over two years, but if I were a customer of theirs, this would put me off their product forever.

When I worked on the farm, the joke was that if there were earworms in the corn, that meant the corn was good. We'd cut away the wormy part and enjoy the rest. The idea is that if food is good, it's good for all living (and arguably living) creatures.

So, I'm kind of glad that McDonalds, or any sort of fast food, isn't on my menu anymore.

To the question - would something like this prevent you from eating Mickey D's, or will you just carry on as before?

I like fresh food.

And McDonald's isn't in my menu anymore. Last year I went down two belt sizes. I intend to keep it that way.

Fast food isn't even...food! It's garbage laced with poison. Seriously, if people cut out fast food or junk food and soda from their diets they would be a lot better off.

In any case, no, not now. And it doesn't put me off their menu, it's so tasty.
Surely they would have changed the recipe by now?

I can totally get why someone would avoid fast food for the fat and sugar- hell, I do- but I absolutely hate some of the sudoscience that goes on regarding the additives. 'tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), a chemical preservative that is so deadly that just five grams is fatal?' Believe it or not, a lot of things a lot of us consume would be fatal if we ingested 5 grams of it (most of them naturally occuring, too). That's why there are milligrams of it. 'food starch-modified (likely genetically-modified)' Genetic modification is not evil. If anything, it's one of the best things that's happened to humanity- bacteria producing insulin, rice with vitamin A in for developing countries, and so on. I could keep listing all this nonsense but I'd be here all day. Fat and sugar? Bad. Artificial? Fine. [edit: sorry for ranting maybe a tad too much, had a long day]
