TEAM CASSADAIGUA- WORLD CUP 64

For those of you who followed the Cassadaigua Comeback Tour, you know of the extensive tryout period that took place. It was a tough process to select the team, as several players had one great game that could skew things in their favor, or one bad one that could work against them. Ultimately, it was the most consistent players throughout that have been selected.

Coach: Brittany Lawton, 1st World Cup
Brief Bio: While Brittany has never coached the senior team before, she was the coach of several Di Bradini Cup sides. Her playing days saw her participate in five World Cups (53-57), as a forward. There are some that feel that her #10 should be added to the list of retired numbers, but CASE has been reluctant to retire numbers of post-World Cup 51 players. Former coach Meaghan Bateman, the leader of the squad prior to our departure, resigned.

Hutt River World Cup 64 squad
Manager- Rolf Carven - 55
After Dave Lister and his team opted not to be included in this year's World Cup squad, the HRFA have decided to offer former Malham United manager Rolf Carven the national team job. This came as a bit of a surprise, as Maham United finished 5th in his only season last season. The manager had to pick an entirely new set of players from the league system. The pick of players was rather well supported by the press, although the choice of tactic was less well received. Choosing to field a sweeper was an 'interesting' choice, seeing as there is a total of 1 person that play that position in the entire league system, and he is in the 5th tier. Despite the defensive formation, Carven said the team would attack throughout the game.

Starting 11
GK- Roland Zimmerman - 24 - North Bury
SW- Steven Wilkinson - 33 - Heron Arms
CB- Matthew Mills - 26 - Gehenhöhle
CB- Max Fink - 23 - Gefertigt
WBR- James Berg - 29 - Kleinestadt
DM- George Brown - 39 - Malham United

AMR- John Klaus - 25 - Väterderstadt
AML- Ekkehardt Bauschulte - 30 - Ross Village

ST:Landry Shearer(25 years old,6'0)

The crusaders are known for their amazing quick paced passing and amazing plays in the injury time. David Johnson is a known penalty stopper and has great reach, with a reported wingspan of 7 feet over. The Fields brothers can use their amazing pace to attack down the flanks. Jonny is the better passer and crosser while Larry can penetrate through the opposition. Edwards and Mbah a Moute are bulky and strong, being very hard to pass by.

The midfield is by far the best part of the crusaders offense. Dwight Brown is the playmaker. With amazing sight and awareness, he is always able to find Johnson for the easy goal. King and James help out in the build up. Donaldson has amazing tackling and long passing ability also makes him a threat in starting the play. With amazing jumping ability, he always seems to win the headers even when he is only 5'11. He is also the team's free kick taker, with amazing power on both his feet.

Joe Johnson has amazing dribbling and speed.Combined with amazing accuracy, once he gets past, you have to hope that your goalkeeper can stop him.9 goals in 4 games is an amazing feat,he is San Potato's star and major threat. Gary Jr is like Johnson 2.0 with more speed and power. Basically the complete package, he has really blossomed over the 4 years.

This stadium is open 24/7, which is why the traffic here is really busy. There is a metro system here that goes back to the airport.

The people and fans of San Potato are very welcoming and friendly ,cheering for San Potato and the opposition. They never boo if the opposition scores and cheers for both teams. They can be a bit rough if provoked though.

Squad Name: Sea Dragons

Home Pitch: Stadii se Draggonnii Arcea
Image

Colors: Deep Sky Blue & Yellow
Image

Style: Tidal Surge 3-2-2-1-2
(-2 defensive)

About the Tidal Surge
The Tidal Surge formation is a hybrid style that makes use of athleticism in key “flex” positions that allow the formation to ebb and flow between styles to take advantage of personnel match-ups and break opportunities. At any point in the match the Tidal Surge can more remind viewers and opponents of a 5-3-2 (most often) or a 3 4-3 (least often) but can usually be found flexing in between those extremes.
Three key positions make this formation work. The offensive midfielder with which everyone is familiar and the two hybrid positions called “UP” backs. These two positions are a direct cross between center midfielders and outside backs. These two positions use athletic ability to move up and down the pitch changing the formation to fit the needs of current needs. Thus at any one moment the formation can resemble anything from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2 creating, quite nearly, the perfect positions for almost any situation.

Other style notes:
“Smashmouth Footy”. That is how the Sea Dragons play when at their best. They prefer the motto “Hit First, Ask Forgiveness Later” and yet they have become adept enough as to remain just on the safe side of the cards so many other squads get. When you play the Sea Dragons two truths are evident - 1: You had better be ready to play tough and 2: you had better be ready for rough play.

Coaching Staff

Manager: Pygan Ust'dar
Sex: M Age: 67 Ht: 6’4 Wt: 185 lbs
Club: Errion Vega F
Hometown: Anberie, ASMV

A hard-nosed manager who knows how to build a championship club - and maintain it as well, Pygan has been asked to return the Sea Dragons to their former defensive glory and put them in position to finally win a World Cup title. Breaking the Sea Dragon tradition of only carrying 15 players, Pygan has assembled 22 of the Empire’s best as he fully expects the cards to come heavy with this group.

Offensive Asst: Soribo Ough'eng
Sex: M Age: 59 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 180 lbs
Club: Carrington A&T University
Hometown: Carrington, Carrington

Soribo has built a collegiate dynasty on defensive play and opportunistic scoring. The latter is something the Sea Dragons will rely heavily upon as they get back to their defensive roots.

Midfield Asst: Cualonii Eld'tia
Sex: F Age: 33 Ht: 5’8 Wt: 142 lbs
Club: Vegai 4th Quad
Hometwon: Vurang, Eversol

Known for her implementation of a transition style and pace in the midfield, Cualonii will be asked to do the same at this level with just three midfielders. Her natural tendency is to have the middies push forward but she will be asked to have them transition back much more often with the national side. Time will tell if she was the right choice.

Defenders Asst: Niguyi Shy'em
Sex: F Age: 65 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 137 lbs
Club: Kura Kurii
Hometown: Aer’Jhana, Kunei

An innovative defensive coach who gets the most from her players. Returning the Up back position to more of a defensive style rather than the midfield help it had recently become will be a huge factor in the squad’s ability to stifle opposing attackers. Niguyi has been known to reward players for exceptionally brutal hits that change the momentum of the match in her favor.

Goalkeeper Asst : Wopiju Ser'age
Sex: M Age: 36 Ht: 6’6 Wt: 200 lbs
Club: Errion Vega University
Hometown: Errion Vega, ASMV

Wopiju is another dynastic college coach and has turned out more professional keepers than most others have players. He will be responsible for making sure his guys know the tendencies and strengths of anyone they face. Allowing goals at all is simply not an option he cares to think about.

The Squad
Indicates Starting 11

Indicates Emergency Use Player

Forwards

RS 19 Fylen Kel'tas
Sex: M Age: 32 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 175 lbs
Club: Loire-Mourenx
Hometown: Thinvaux, Mourenx

Fylen Kel’tas. Perhaps the most talented goal scorer in the Empire, he was never given a shot at making the Sea Dragon roster due to the long-standing tradition of bringing up youth players early. With the very best of the young crop now having been dismissed, Fylen will get his chance and is expected to dominate much the same way as Jonasei Ariq’Alara did during his days.

RS 22 Ekeuli Lor'rilo
Sex: F Age: 29 Ht: 5’5 Wt: 124 lbs
Club: Errion Vega FK
Hometown: Norinii, ASMV

Brilliant in domestic play, it is hoped that her lack of size does not work against her at the international level. She is quick and canny, she will work as a change of pace to Fylen who is a much more technical player.

LS 11 Syrinici Tia'bel
Sex: F Age: 35 Ht: 5’7 Wt: 141 lbs
Club: Malachai Ifreet
Hometown: Ashford, Kelsey

Syri has made a career of banging with the boys on the pitch, giving as many hard shots as she receives. She plays unselfishly and cares nothing for personal glory which makes her ideal for the spot opposite Fylen.

LS 13 Bolexii Pol'age
Sex: M Age: 25 Ht: 6’3 Wt: 197 lbs
Club: Isla De Marte University
Hometown: Stephyk, Acai

A top striker at the collegiate level, Bolexii brings a ton of size to the squad. He plays well with his head which is advantageous on set pieces. Perhaps he can prove himself worthy of a starting position when Syri hangs up her boots.

Midfielders

RM 21 Xataru Enth'umii
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 172 lbs
Club: Errion Vega Polii
Hometown: Jumanji, Errion

The two dedicated midfielders are asked to cover a ton of ground and control the middle of the pitch. Xateru can manage just that. Quick and possessing excellent ball skills, he is able to harass opposing players as well as keep the ball when numbers are awful.

RM 03 Laken Kim'athu
Sex: F Age: 23 Ht: 5’11 Wt: 140 lbs
Club: South Beach University
Hometown: Warden’s Reach, Carr

A bit of a phenom, Laken was chosen as an all-Vegai player her freshman year - something that almost never happens. It is hoped that she will learn from Xateru and develop into a shining star fir the national side.

CAM 10 Acaugu Eld'mosu
Sex: M Age: 33 Ht: 6’0 Wt: 201 lbs
Club: Lai-Una Reisi
Hometown: Se Crucide, Misii

Acaugu is cautious as he moves forward to attack. He doesn’t like to leave the middle open but realizes that the two strikers need help sooner than later if they are to score. What he lacks in speed he makes up with text book style play.

CAM 27 Tekegi Ny'et
Sex: M Age: 31 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 188 lbs
Club: Piossa Juhinx
Hometown: Cyumba, Awesii

The exact opposite of Acaugu, Tekegi is a kamikaze style attacker. Reckless and prone to suspect decision making, he does make up for it with his sheer tenacity and direct approach.

LM 14 Yseelle Tai'ran
Sex: F Age: 28 Ht: 5’7 Wt: 138 lbs
Club: FK Kelsey
Hometown: Summer Hill, Kelsey

The other dedicated middie, Yselle is nearly a mirror image of Xateru in style and ability. Though some may question her inclusion in the starting eleven, her unselfish team play is just what the Sea Dragons need.

LM 20 Estaine Che'ia
Sex: F Age: 24 Ht: 5’9 Wt: 143 lbs
Club: Uza Uzi Sarud
Hometown: Bayt Al Kissaem, Sa Aln

Estaine is a solid player without an ego. In a system that chooses the very best that is a breath of fresh air. While she is unexceptional, she is still very solid and plays like there is no tomorrow.

Defenders

RUB 30 Panirii Ther'tai
Sex: M Age: 31 Ht: 6’6 Wt: 215 lbs
Club: Meldinburg UH
Hometown: Meldinburg, Meldinburg

Panirii is unusually large for an up-back. That fact works both for and against him. But with this new Sea Dragon squad’s focus on stiff defense he should shine through with his knack for being in the right place at the right time.

RUB 29 Keyean Ust'kelo
Sex: M Age: 32 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 194 lbs
Club: Carrington FK
Hometown: New Anumia, Carrington

Like Panirii, Keyean is a larger up-back who knows how to use his size to his advantage. He excels playing the ball in the air and is a solid offensive threat on set pieces.

RB 41 Lyxat Im'untu
Sex: M Age: 29 Ht: 6’4 Wt: 208 lbs
Club: Erda Khaza
Hometown: C’tai Thai, Triarii Rivii

Lyx is a Sea Dragon style defender who doesn’t hesitate to knock the opposition off the ball. He is known as a nasty player who doesn’t mind seeing a card flashed in his face. If he could cut those down a bit he would be a true star for the side.

RB 31 Mugak Ban'dyn
Sex: M Age: 35 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 226 lbs
Club: Radience Sarud
Hometown: Barataria, Radience

Mugak is the voice of reason on a back line of brash, hard hitting players that don’t usually ask forgiveness. It is hoped that he can help instill some control into the game of Lyx, but that remains to be seen and he is more than capable of playing well if called upon.

CB 54 Cadye Tas'dyn
Sex: F Age: 28 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 165 lbs
Club: Ominus Hera
Hometown: Maraa, Compar

Cadye is a big girl with a big mouth - and a big game. Still young by international standards she has plenty of room to grow into her potential. Treating the back line like it is a mosh pit is her way of controlling the flow of the match.

CB 38 Ikuno Ina'vor
Sex: M Age: 31 Ht: 6’7 Wt: 231 lbs
Club: Rayor CambraI
Hometown: Morsang, Royan

If you think that Cadye plays to rough, don’t knock her out of the match. Ikuno makes her play resemble a powder puff match. Violent and aggressive in his style, Ikuno is not truly happy until he has bloodied himself - and hopefully someone else in the process.

LB 17 Aldire Kim'kalo
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’3 Wt: 199 lbs
Club: Sarii Carrington
Hometown: Yagrish, Meldinburg

Aldire is not afraid to bang for position and yet has the skill for a finesse style of play. The combination is deadly and opposing attackers can never truly get a fix on what he will do next. Aldire jut might be the key to the whole damn squad and its success.

LB 40 Xopuxabu Ess'kalu
Sex: M Age: 28 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 212 lbs
Club: Vega Dras
Hometown: Kinterpunt, Nairu

As a former defensive midfielder, Xopu has all the skills needed when pushing forward. But it is when he is dropping back that he is most effective - thus his inclusion as a defender. Xopu uses position over strength to hold his line and that will come in useful as cards take their toll on the rest of the defensive back field.

LUB 36 Kisurano Ar'is
Sex: M Age: 37 Ht: 5’9 Wt: 177 lbs
Club: Shalreix FK
Hometown: Motmardel, Vierzon

Kisurano has a great burst to the ball and a lightening quick first step. He uses that to keep opposing attackers focused too much on keeping the ball and away from trying to push the attck.

LUB 63 Ytiya Ny'kalu
Sex: F Age: 26 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 167 lbs
Club: Thrivist UH
Homrtown: Stratori, Falcione

A year ago Yitya couldn’t read well enough to sign her first contract without an advocate present for her. Now she is learning and the education is doing its job as she understands more each day about just how attackers go about their business.

Goal Keepers

GK 00 Sithias Zyh'athkim
Sex: M Age: 30 Ht: 6’5 Wt: 184 lbs
Club: Turin-Kelsey
Hometown: Zumrutkya, Alariz

The national side just released Sanlioch Bez’al. That tells you all you need to now about Sithias. Easily the third best keeper in the DSE and perhaps the best. Sithias has huge shoes to fill. He should not have a problem filling them.

GK 24 Lijytukii Cha'ina
Sex: M Age: 34 Ht: 6’9 Wt: 257 lbs
Club: EV Sarud
Hometown: Lophai, Qalim

Well seasoned and more than efficient, Lijytukii is a solid back up for the Sea Dragons. He understands the game and loves to watch film on opposing attackers. He knows their tendencies better than they do and uses that to his advantage.

PLAYING STYLE: With strong and solid players and two very talented wingers, Pzetrovlaskia is often on the attack, using the wings and crossing the ball into the middle. Pzetrovlaskia has very tall and strong defenders, whom are hard to beat in the air, although they perform badly against skillful individuals. The passing is mixed, with most chance creation coming from the wings.

Manager - Image Sir James Handel
A catastrophic World Cup cycle saw the defending Copa Rushmori champions not just humiliatingly defeated by Farfadillis in the hunt for a qualifying playoff spot, but not even invited to the subsequent Cup of Harmony. For all his talent, for all the numbers in his favour, the wily Gunutz Yaregi and his uninspiring play had to go. Dumped down to the 39th place in the KPB rankings, the FAF despaired briefly and took their chances on a more radical approach this time around.

50 year-old Sir James Robert Handel; novelist, perfectionist, football manager, knight and motivational speaker, has been brought in straight from Yesopalitha, whom he led to become one of fastest-rising, most exciting squads in the multiverse. His unconvential formations, centred on "Lightning Counterattacks", are not necessarily the most offensively daring, but certainly fascinating and what's most important, brutally effective. For Olibondeka he has prepared a variation on his typical 3-5-2 that has never been seen on these shores, with a very active goalkeeper, a sweeper in front of him, two centre-backs to guard the line, two wing-backs pushed to the very limit of their physical capacity, a defensive midfielder to cover their gaps, a central midfielder to link the back with the front and keep things tidy, an attacking midfielder as playmaker and two strong forwards to bang the goals in. To accomplish this he has done away with a lot of dead wood and taking a number of fringe players with promise under his wing.

The poor result at Copa Rushmori XIII - group stage elimination despite being the defending champions - does not set a good precedent, but there is plenty of time, space and material to work with. Things can't get any worse than under Yaregi... right?

Starting XI:
(Ages accurate as of Champions' Cup 47 final)

#1 - GK - Argider Gorriaran - Age 32 - Astograth University – 26 caps, 24 goals against, 12 clean sheets
Gorriaran has slowly but surely earned himself a reputation within the national team and in the domestic league for his clean sheets and reliability, which aren't entirely due to his teams' talented defense. Capped for the first time at Copa Rushmori XII, he played every minute of Olibondeka's title-winning run and was one of the team's highest performers, maintaining 5 clean sheets in 8 matches, conceding a scant four and being crucial in the semifinal penalty shootout elimination of the hosts, Polar Islandstates. He maintained a good run in the ill-fated qualifiers that followed, and looks set to turn out for Astograth on the road to World Cup 64.

#4 - SW - Yokin Arizmande - Age 27 – Urbizania Wanderers - 64 caps, 3 goals
A product of the Royal Vosaroni Antenelli youth academy in Erathore, Arizmande then spent several successful years at Niccostrato, in keeping with the Erathi custom of teenaged players. Having returned to his homeland, he has solidified himself as one of the leading defenders in the First Division and the national team. Close to reaching his peak years, his play is exquisite, blending physical presence with speed, tactical awareness and fine technical skills - all of which he'll need in the demanding sweeper position Handel seeks to instate.

#5 - CB - Urtzi Galard (C) - Age 35 - Royal Rumiatzi – 140 caps, 6 goals
The seventh most-capped Astograthian player, Galard is a veteran of Olibondeka's four successful World Cup qualifying runs and their sole Cup of Harmony win, on top of lifting the past Copa Rushmori; under Handel he has agreed to go out at least one more time with the captain's armband. Usually played as left-back, tireless for the full ninety and an expert crosser, he can swap positions with the left wing-back if need be, though he is quite comfortable in the middle of defense as well.

#3 - CB – Abdoulaye Bocandé - Age 32 – Image East Franz Athletic – 106 caps, 6 goals
Although fully Zenegalese, Bocandé has been naturalised by Astograth after his standout performances in the First Division, originally joining from the Tamarindo league. A crucial part of Echegoyan FC's rise to the top and eventual championship runs, and now at Polarian giants East Franz Athletic, he is a blood-and-guts defender with no fear of crunching tackles or studs to the face. Set to become one of Olibondeka's most-capped, he is a proud symbol of Astograthian integration and growing multi-culturalism.

#7 - LWB – Lekubegi Guerrikaechebarria - Age 31 – Astograth University – 76 caps, 13 goals
Guerrikaechebarria burst onto the domestic scene with blinding performances at Athletic Club Yungoitio, and has since captained Astograth University to unthinkable heights. He is fast and lively, an important threat down the left wing and very versatile. His eagerness can sometimes be a bit excessive, not thinking things through and dipping in form when setbacks arise, but he is arguably Astograth's most exciting player.

#10 - DM – Burutzagi Bidaiyat - Age 25 - Image Edmonton United – 44 caps, 2 goals
Bred at Erathore's Niccostrato, Bidaiyat is a technical-minded midfielder, preferring to dribble and, above all else, pass the ball around like a mindless drone until the opponent makes a grave mistake- as is (or was) the Erathi style. He isn't one for getting stuck in the challenge, though being played by Handel as a holding midfielder he'll either have to learn, yield his place... or develop something else entirely.

#14 - RWB - Marin Mendazona - Age 27 - Image Sporting Iturributa - 2 caps
Part of the squad that won the Campeonato Rushmori Juvenil Sub-20, Mendazona never made the jump to the senior team despite regular top-class football at Sporting Iturributa - until now. Tireless, a solid crosser and talented enough at defending, he is exactly what Handel requires from a wing-back and so earns his first call-up, thrust into the starting lineup. Whether he'll hold up is unclear, but his club form has been such that it doesn't invite much doubt.

#15 - CM – Ikatz Alberro - Age 31 - Ituraitz FC – 74 caps, 7 goals
Alberro has quickly situated himself as the current best Astograthian player in a position with a long tradition in the nation, with or without the support of partners such as Ituraitz's Lester Sutton or the national team's Galeano. He is adept at finding space in thick midfields, whether to stick a pass in or muscle his way through, and in the proud heritage of Edorta Urrustoy he is no stranger to rough tackles. Issues with injury have held him back, admittedly, and could keep him on the touchline for long stretches.

#8 - AM - Eriz Bakaikoa - Age 28 - Image FC Axel Heiburg – 26 caps, 3 goals
Brought up at the prestigious Haapa-Mechelin academy in Polar Islandstates, Bakaikoa is followed by the Astograthian public at a distance but has quickly become one of the most lauded foreign-based players of all time, winning the Divisjon One multiple times and a number of international trophies including the Champions' Cup, the Cygnus Cup and the Copa de Campeones. With Aintza Lekea definitively dropped by Handel owing to dressing room harmony concerns, it is time for Bakaikoa to take up the famed no. 8 shirt and guide Astograth to the same heights as FC Axel Heiburg.

#9 - CF - Hurko Atristain - Age 34 - Image SK Franz Josef City – 87 caps, 49 goals
Big target man Atristain has long been under the long shadow of past greats Dei Ormache and Soter Sarlange, accused of failing to score when it counts the most, but the raw numbers don't lie. Atristain has racked up a goal count that has him level with Ormache's tally as second top scorer of all time - in almost half as many matches. He'll go down as one of the greats already, but with just a little more he could be immortal...

#11 - CF - Eguzki Berriex - Age 29 - Oyardo FC - 16 caps, 6 goals
Part of Urbizania Wanderers' Champions' Cup-winning side, Berriex was deemed surplus to requirements just as he finally rose to the fore and earned his first caps at the 3rd Brevity Challenge Cup. Now inevitably a star at the rapidly rising Oyardo FC, he has established himself a club level but still has everything to prove at Olibondeka. Often accused of simply being a poor man's Atristain, but Handel has faith.

Substitutes:

#13 - GK – Machin Logegaray - Age 28 - Ituraitz FC – 4 caps, 5 goals against, 1 clean sheet
The city of Ituraitz is very proud of its goalkeepers, and one of their brightest at the moment is Ituraitz FC's starting keeper Machin Logegaray, who has shown maturity beyond his years since replacing local icon Astigar Barrueta and can comfortably stay in the team for many seasons to come. Has played a few matches and performed adequately, making him prime candidate to replace Gorriaran.

#23 - GK – Loren Arambel - Age 29 - Image Lajuno – 5 caps, 5 goals against, 2 clean sheets
Chosen as the best player in the Euran league, Arambel brings to the squad a foreign influence that is increasingly less noticeable in Olibondeka. He is a very solid keeper, roughly on par with Logegaray; the conditions are such that he could reasonably challenge for first-team football. A more dynamic and competitive battle for the #1 shirt would be a refreshing change to the typical stagnancy of the position.

#12 - SW - Anartz Agirrebenia - Age 24 - Blue Mountain Range - 1 cap
One of the few players in Astograth already familiar with the sweeper position, Agirrebenia has been operating at the heart of defense for the ultra-defensive Blue Mountain Range since the youth teams. Specially bred for this very role and occasion, he has the vision, the calm and the technique to carry out the job - with some international experience he could well be unstoppable in a few years' time.

#2 - CB – Edorta Garro - Age 30 – Ituraitz FC - 24 caps
Edorta Garro has earned his status as one of the Astograthian league's leading defenders through grit and hard-work, inspiring a highly successful generation at Ituraitz FC. His lack of versatility keeps him as backup on the national team though Handel is expected to send him on frequently, for added steel at the back.

#16 - CB - Haitz Maistegi - Age 27 - Astograth University - 3 caps
He's been capped before and has since been waiting for an opening on the squad - and he's finally got it. Haitz Maistegi has been instrumental at both Astograth University and Royal Arexa, the latter of which he led to the Cygnus Cup semifinals. He is well and ready to step in, despite currently being at the bottom of the pecking order.

#22 - LWB - Koldobika Benitzaizin - Age 25 - Echegoyan FC - 1 cap
Spirited and combative, Benitzaizin can run, can do so for a good while, and he can dribble his way through tight defenses. Crossing isn't his strong point, which holds him back in Handel's plans, but his raw talent and determined attitude are such that he's in the squad as backup anyway.

#21 - DM - Ayoro Barinaga - Age 27 - Astograth University - 8 caps
Equally good at unravelling defenses and hacking down forwards, Barinaga can be counted on to bring play forth from the back and, when not on the ball, keep a close eye on his surroundings and take down his opponents - if necessary he's not above cheap gamesmanship, which wasn't exactly drilled out of him at club level.

#17 - RWB - Raitin Eneriz - Age 29 - Echegoyan FC - 42 caps, 2 goals
A fast and versatile right-back at league champions Echegoyan FC, Raitin Eneriz has continued to demonstrate that his defending is top-notch if rash, but he truly shines when taking the ball forward, either dribbling or with the long pass. Blooded and experienced at every level of football, though Handel has decided to give Marin Mendazona a chance as right wing-back before deciding whether Eneriz is fully up to the task.

#6 - CM – Galeano - Age 32 - Royal Rumiatzi – 68 caps, 3 goals
Galeano joins Abdoulaye Bocandé as the other naturalised player of the squad; the Tamarindian-born midfielder laboured long and hard at The Army Club before earning a call-up to Copa Rushmori IX and a transfer to cross-town giants Royal Rumiatzi. His small frame can be a problem when confronted with more physical opponents, but he has the vision to wreak havoc if Alberro gives him the space he needs. The partnership proved fruitful throughout World Cup 61, though Galeano is often the first to go when Yaregi decides to alter the formation.

#20 - AM – Peli Alzu - Age 28 – Oyardo FC – 1 cap
Captain of the up-and-coming Oyardo FC, Alzu is a homegrown player who brings to the table leadership, style and much vigour. Beloved by his own people, he has a lot to prove at this level but is very much looking forward to it, having never received a call-up prior to Copa Rushmori XIII despite a solid résumé for the youth national teams.

#18 - CF - Balendin Uzkudun - Age 28 - Image Metropolis Alligators - 1 cap
It took a while, but Balendin Uzkudun at last attracted enough attention at the Valladar Super League for Iturributa and Astograth to both call on his services. He didn't think twice before turning down the Free Republic, where he was born and played before moving to Metropolis, and gladly lines up for Olibondeka. He won't have it as easy as for Iturributa, however; the fighting for the spot is fierce, even if he boasts a lithe grace that neither Atristain nor Berriex display.

#19 - CF - Ibai Kiriano - Age 20 - Ituraitz FC - Uncapped
A gamble from Hanel, Kiriano has turned out well not just for the Under-20 national team but for his club, scoring on his league début and impressing the world on Ituraitz's winning run at the 26th Aeropag Football Invitational. Short and not very smart, but very fast, very skilled in the dribble and very deadly. Maybe a bit too young to make himself some room at Olibondeka, but he's been taken along precisely to see what he can do.

Captain: Urtzi Galard
Free Kick Taker: Eriz Bakaikoa
Penalty Taker: Hurko Atristain
Right Corner: Lekubegi Guerrikaechebarria

Updated till matchday six. Please check italic text below the line-up for changes in the basic formation.

Basic Info

Nation: Bearded Moose
Trigramme: BMO
Demonym: Moosians
Nickname: The Mooses
Colors: Red and Black

Squad

Goalkeepers

1. Marcus Udohem – Age 22 – Hochem Ballspiel – GK – Accountant
Originaly a left midfielder, Udohem got repositioned into the goal when a teammate got gravely injured. His quick reflexes have convinced the audience, being the keeper who conceived the least goals throughout the last season. His joining of the national team was only a matter of time, but not everyone thinks he’ll be able to show the needed natural authority to lead the group in battle.

12. Enrico Androni – Age 25 – Bordano Rapido – GK - Fireman – 2 caps
This player from Rapido is known as a remarkably talented linekeeper, but he can be tricked when he leaves his goal. Therefore, he tends to wait instead of closing his corners when an opponent comes up to him alone. This was his downfall in his international debute against Secuelas in the BoF 51, but he has been working on this and has gained his spot in the national selection again.

13. Marko Predragic – Age 23 – Krazdar Rebellion – GK – Grocery shop owner - 12 caps
Predragic hasn’t got his most enjoyable season behind his back. His team, Krazdar, couldn’t show why they were national champion the year before and Predragic had to fish way more balls out of his nets than he had hoped. Nonetheless, he remains on the team due to his excellent performances in the Baptism of Fire, during which he convinced the critics that he could be focused throughout a full game.

Defenders

2. Sven Pärson – Age 26 – Ullevadda United – RD - Butcher – 11 caps
Nicknamed “Whiteface”, this right defender has always been of great importance for his team. He is known for his amazing passing and refusal to kick-and-rush. Very technical for a right-wing defender, he isn’t the best of headers but he mainly makes up for this due to his positioning. Whiteface will never be the leader of the bunch but you can always rely on him. Sometimes, he tends to make a dirty fault, surprising considering his nature.

3. Lukas Maxhem – Age 22 – Thalfurth Vereinigung – CD – Student in Psychology – 14 caps, 1 goal
Despite his young age, Lukas Maxhem has grown to the vice-captains of the team. Always on the right spot, this defender has proven himself this year. Quick and strong with the head, he appears to have it all. According to some, he would make an excellent defending midfield as well. This year he was captain of the team that won the championship and he is the pillar of the national defense.

4. Morten Anderskjaer – Age 22 – Likersand Conquerors – CD - Soldier – 9 caps
Anderskjaer is a clever defender who continues to develop. As a soldier, he has topscores in the physical field, but his control over the ball could be a bit better. Positioned next to the more technical Maxhem, he makes an excellent duo due to his feared tackle. Previously a right-wing defender, he has grown into this position during the BoF and now is positioned on this spot with his team as well. It has strengthened his homesquad in all ways.

5. Bernd Ebbehem – Age 20 – Hochem Ballspiel – LD – Student in Languages – 13 caps, 2 goals
Bernd has been one of the exponents of the refreshing game brought by Hochem Ballspiel. Ebbehem is sometimes more a winger than a defender and has a good shot. In the BoF, this resulted in a marvellous goal against later victor New Sideburn. Growing older, he has learned to time his rushes along the side a bit better and this has been an improvement for his game as well.

14. Iben Fabianhem – Age 18 – Die Starke Verein Felsheim – RD – Student in Engineering - 3 caps
A surprise amongst the squad according to some, but in a way, this call-up has been a reward for the season that was brought by DSV Felsheim. Just like his team, Helmuthem is a hard worker but he combines fine passing with a proper tackle. Due to his age, he sometimes fails to be strong enough in the duels, which is a bit of a flaw. He was selected with an eye to the future, as he still has a lot to learn, but he is already the captain of DSV, an evidence of his great attitude.

16. Ljuban Milanic – Age 24 – Krazdar Rebellion – LD - Pharmacist – 7 caps
Just like Ebbehem, he is a defender who knows how to score a goal. He will probably start on the bench, as he is a bit slower and quite risky to grab a card, but he is a proper replacement for the left defender position. Milanic is not the most liked player in the dressing room of his own team due to his political views. This year, he has been injured quite a lot but this hasn’t prevented Gerhardhem to stage him.

19. Konrad Franzhem – Age 24 – Thalfurth Vereinigung – CD - Busdriver – 7 caps
Franzhem is used to playing next to Maxhem and forms his pendant in many ways. He hardly lets his voice hurl through the dressing room, he’s quite slow and he is not very liked by the supporters. Despite these downsides, he is known as someone who always fights for every ball when faced by a stronger opponent. His reliability has been a great asset for Thalfurth, but he hasn’t managed to convince when playing for Bearded Moose.

Midfielders
6. Marko Bojanic – Age 24 – Krazdar Rebellion – DM - Audiologist – 14 caps, 1 goal
Reliable, calm and helpful, he could be a nominee for the Peace Nobel Prize but he is, in fact, the defending midfield from the team. One of those guys whose name you put on the board without a blink. He has a mean free kick and was considered by many as the motor of the champions team. As is usual with a good motor, you don’t hear him more than is strictly needed but he was the driving force behind our performance in the BoF.

8. Thorsten Ulfhem – Age 20 – Hochem Ballspiel – DM – Student in Marketing – 9 caps
One of the “Hochem Youngster”, Ulfhem is quite important to Joachim Hem. Unnoticed, Ulfhem manages to clean up the dirt from his fellow midfields in order to allow attacking football. Only seldomly, he will be seen trying something more difficult than a short pass, but his clever positioning makes him an asset. Because of this, he has gained himself a spot amongst the starting eleven.

10. Joachim Hem – Age 26 – Hochem Ballspiel – AM – Veterinarian - captain – 11 caps, 2 goals
Captain of the squad and generally considered the best player from the nation. Hem, who has an unusual last name due to the fact that he is an orphan, leads Hochem with a flair that impresses friends and opponents. Great vista, marvellous pass, mean kick, good positioning, his flaws are few. From time to time he might appear a bit lazy. Without him, the team loses an important part of its capacities.

14. Adi Ludwighem – Age 24 – FV Prollhirsch – RM – Professional drugtester – 7 caps, 2 goals
If one man can bring some atmosphere in the dressing room, it is this remarkable fellow. Having had a dozen of professions so far, he claims to be a professional drugtester. Some rumour him to be bipolar, but he’s just a guy of moodswings. At his top, he’s the guy who can drag your team to the good side of the line with his great hart and three lungs and such is appreciated by his teammates.

15. Uli Hanshem – Age 25 – FV Prollhirsch – LM – Software programmer – 7 caps
At first sight, this man does not appear as a top league football player. He has a small speech deficiency, baldness struck him at young age and he seems to be limping a bit. But give him a ball and he becomes a machine. Hanshem never gives up and this attitude allows him to score from time to time. For Prollhirsch, he is the important link between attack and defence together with Adi Ludwighem.

18. Emilien Loicil – Age 22 – Virgaux Tous Ensembles – DM – Shop Assistent
Playing for a smaller team which only debuted this year, Loic Emilil is the biggest surprise in this squad. Together with Androni, he is the only player that doesn’t wear the shirt of a team from the Premier Division. His main contribution to our team lies in the way he could be a replacement for Bojanic or Ulfhem, because he enters the pitch with the same attitude: working for the team to make the others shine.

22. Oleg Oleksandrenko – Age 18 – Spartak Sjovetsk – AM - Welder – 8 caps, 2 goals
The youngest player and possibly the biggest talent. In his youth, his teachers feared that nothing would come from him and as a drop-out, all hope seemed to be lost. But his coach at Sjovetsk gave him confidence and new motivation, which not only have him a place in this squad but also a diploma as welder. He’s not as dominant as Hem, but he knows how to build a punishing attack. His games at the BoF already gave away glimpses of his vast capacities.

23. Darko Savic – Age 22 – Krazdar Rebellion – RM – Factory worker – 6 caps
“Crazy Legs” is quite a controversial player. His coach sometimes laughs that his former drug addiction causes him to never leave the line and his rehabilitation program goes with ups and downs. He missed part of the competition due to that and when he was on the field, he wasn’t always great. But despite his troublesome youth, Savic has grown to a remarkably swift right wing with a well-timed assisting pass. His form is a big question mark, so it could be named a surprise that he’s still on the team.

Attackers

7. Jakob Martinkjaer – Age 19 – Likersand Conquerors – RA - Consultant - 4 caps, 3 goals
Week by week, this player seems to make a positive evolution. His position as topscorer of this years’ competition has not only gained him a spot amongst the 23, he also is the starting right wing attacker. Martinkjaer is agile and strong, but sometimes he’s a little wreckless. His big mouth easily creates amongst opponents and teammates. All signs of ambition, which evenly matches his capacities.

9. Sebastian Axelson – Age 22 – Ullevadda United – CA – Logistics employee – 13 caps, 7 goals
The other half from the “triple A”, Axelson was often seen as the lesser one. His goals for the national team have showed people wrong and this year he was the driving force behind his teams third place. Technically, he ain’t an expert but he makes up with hard work. Axelson is a menace to a defender because he’s a strong, big guy, always on the move, seeking for that little bit of space to show his cannon kick.

11. Sergey Sergeyenko – Age 29 – Spartak Sjovetsk – LA - Patissier – 14 caps, 6 goals
Almost one goal per match, a great statistic to be presented by Sergeyenko. A man who refuses to speak with words, but he will let his feet do the talking. Or his renowned pies. Sergeyenko likes to come from the wing to the inside and can kick both with the left as with the right when he sees the opportunity. Being the oldest guy on the team, he has grown together with our team so far and still has a lot of good years in front of him.

17. Gerhard Erichem – Age 24 – Thalfurth Vereinigung – CA – Office clerk - 2 caps
After missing the Baptism of Fire due to injury, Erichem has shown that he deserves a place on the squad with his feet. His capacities even resulted in him refusing Milan Antic to be selected, despite that being our national top goalscorer so far. Erichem is not very tall, but he pops up whenever he can. As a totally different type than Axelson, bringing him in can give a new dynamic to the team. He’s also the son of the coach.

21. Aron Arneson – Age 23 – Ullevadda United – RA - Carpenter – 10 caps, 5 goals
Part of Ullevadda’s “triple A” (the AA Attackers), Arneson can be a real punisher in front of goal. His right foot is wicked but it is a pity that his left foot ain’t worth much. This lack makes him easier to defend and causes him to be off the starting squad, in comparison to the Baptism of Fire. His open and friendly character makes him a great teammate but sometimes he should dear to be a little tougher.

Staff

Coach: Erich Gerhardhem – Age 43 – Company owner
This extravagant businessman has a broad national and international network and can be considered the father of football in Bearded Moose. As president of the union, he enlisted our nation to the international scene and after making it into the semi-final of the Baptism of Fire, his contract was continued.

Second coach: Dino Silvioni – Age 49 – Taxi driver
Unremarked by the fans, admired by his players. According to some, he is the real brain behind the tactics and Gerhardham is just the mouth. Nonetheless, they’re good pals. His warm and friendly ways make him the good cop, when Gerhardhem is the bad one.

Keepers coach: David Georgesil – Age 31 – Factory Worker
Replacing Zlatanic, Georgesil has been added to the staff. Normally, he coaches the goalies from Equipe Gérval, a smaller side in the state of Romainil. His unconventional training methods charmed the head coach.

Formation

Image
Changes for MD7: With Axelson having his last day of his two-day suspension and Anderskjaer having three yellows, resulting in a day on the sin bin, some changes have been made. Erichem takes up the spot of central attacker and Franzhem start as central midfield. Furthermore, Arneson substitutes Martinkjaer.

The team will play in a 4-3-3 formation (style: +2), but with a few modifications in comparison to the Baptism of Fire. As was usual then, both wing defenders will be involved in the build-up, but Ebbehem will no longer be a left midfielder when Bearded Moose is in attack. He sticks better to his position now. Maxhem leads the offside trap, we dare to risk with that.
In the midfield, we are going to play a bit more defensive than we did before, considering the fact that we will be looking in the eyes of better opponents. Both Bojanic and Ulfhem will keep the balance between defence and attack, in order to give Hem the needed room to build up the attack. But when we’re behind, it is quite probable that one of the defending midfields is replaced by a more attacking player.
The coordination of the defence is a collective weakness for this unexperienced team, which was the cause of a lot of goals against so far. Our counter is quite good, on the other side, with quick wingbacks and attackers with good timing. Cards are seldom, as it is a fair squad.

Penalty kick: Sergey Sergeyenko
Indirect free kick: Joachim Hem
Direct free kick: Marko Bojanic
Corners left side: Bernd Ebbehem for swinging out, Thorsten Ulfhem for swinging in
Corners right side: Sven Pärson for swinging out, Bernd Ebbehem for swinging in
Penalty five: Sergey Sergeyenko, Marko Bojanic, Lukas Maxhem, Sven Pärson & Joachim Hem.

Small history for more info

No football had set foot -pun intended- on Bearded Moose before 478. Erich Gerardhem, who owned an oilimporting company those days, managed to lay his hands on a ball after seeing footage of the Baptism of Fire 49. He claimed it to be 'the brightest day for this nation'. In his hometown, Thalfurth, soccer grew only slowly around a group of friends amongst which his son Gerhard Erichem had a key role. Gerhardhem is feared by his enemies, but he played an important roll in the growth of football. In 480, he hosted the socalled GH Cars Cup, a tournament confined to the bounders of the state of Lotharhem (one of the fifteen states that are located in the Republic of Bearded Moose). Won by Thalfurth Vereinigung -who else-, this has been an important moment in terms of press relation. The bound with the papers has been good since then and they have positively influenced the acceptance of a team sport, something that was unknown to Bearded Moose before.

481 saw the expansion of the game to other states. Especially in Nebosjic, Romainil and Gennaroni, the popularity went up quite quick and there had been a few interstate duels. Most noted was a game between Dublon Star and Thalfurth Vereinigung, which ment the end of nineteen succesive victories from Thalfurth, or eighteen months of being unbeaten.
This year, 482 AM, has not only been noted with the official start up from the football union but also with the organisation of the First Silver Plate of Football. This cup tournament has united the best teams from across the nation. The First Silver Plate of Football has been won by Krazdar Rebellion. The fact they played Ullevadda United in the final ment the definitive movement from football from a game of the state of Lotharhem to a national sport. This year, the first Premier Division has been organised. Thalfurth Vereinigung was victorious, with Likersand as runner-up and Ullevadda as number three.

No wonder that these teams, together with Krazdar, provide the lions share of the national squad. At first, a team was selected for the Baptism of Fire 51. In comparison to that team, a few players have been eliminated. Nicolasil was discarted due to his behaviour in the team, Nevenic missed the great form, Johanhem is dealing with an injury and attackers Francesconi and Antic have been passed by this season by new forces. Erichem, Fabianhem, Loicil, Martinkjaer and Udohem have been added. The eleven that normally start a game contain five new names in comparison to the original one from the BoF, but most of them gained their spot throughout that Baptism of Fire. Therefor, the Mooses still have the same framework as during the BoF and it is hoped that these guys manage to keep up the impression they have shown there. Being fourth out of 46 teams was an unexpected result, but all know that the World Cup will be a different level. Therefor, there is no pressure in the press and every point will be seen as a victory.

Capacity: 4,500
Build this year, it is the only facility in Bearded Moose that is able to hold more than two thousand supporters. At this very moment, a few teams are planning on bigger locations, but until that point the Thalfurth Community Stadium is the national venue for interland competition. Home to Thalfurth Vereinigung, this stadium has remarkable red seats, but most places are for standing only.

Gordonopian National Team
World Cup 64

Starting Eleven

United Gordonopia is an underdog no longer. After making it, unexpectedly in the eyes of the rest of the world, to the semi-finals of World Cup 63, and cracking the top 30 in the rankings, everyone knows what Gordonopia is capable of. Now it is just a matter of doing it again.

That will be no easy feat. The loss of Norm Bates, the team's main playmaker and longtime captain, is a huge blow to the offense, while the departure of Michael Stahl leaves a big, but fillable, hole in the defense. Even more imposing is the fact that other teams, having seen what the Gordonopian National Team can achieve, will be much better prepared.

At the same time, though, the squad enters with some big advantages. While the losses were substantial, especially on the reserve side, nine of last cycle's starting eleven have returned, allowing for a fair amount of consistency. Additionally, some of the weaker members of the squad have bloomed into powerful performers, making the defense in particular more of a threat.

Though the rest of the football world likely doubts that Gordonopia will be as successful as it was last cycle, only time will tell.

Image
Formation
4-3-1-2

Jay Neuman
Jay Neuman has evolved from an young, promising keeper into the most dominant goaltender in Gordonopia. He has won the Golden Boot an astounding three times in only a few short years starting in the GPL, but perhaps even more importantly he has anchored the National Team's tremendous recent success. During their run to the semi-finals last cup, coming in as a complete outsider, Tobias set the mood during qualifying by letting in only 12 goals across 18 matches; tied for fourth in the world. During the cup itself, his performance became even more important. In what may be remembered as Gordonopia's finest hour, the National Team took on The Holy Empire, then ranked first in the world, in the round of 16. With all the odds against them, Tobias' stunning saves contributed to the game going to penalties, where he managed a nailbiting victory. In this cup, Neuman's importance cannot be understated.

Roger Steiner - Captain
While he has already announced that this will be his last cycle as an international, Roger Steiner is an essential member of the National Team. Starting his career with a long stint at defensive powerhouse FC Deska, Steiner ultimately went on to be the first Gordonopian to play in a top-three UICA league when he transferred to Ituraitz FC. As the most experienced member of the National Team's formidable defensive line, and likely soon to be the most capped player of all time, Steiner has proven time and again that he deserves both a spot on the starting lineup and his position as captain. In addition to his ability to break up plays, Steiner is very skilled at tackling as well as marking.
LB - 32 - Club: Image Ituraitz FC - 80 Caps - 1 Goals

Fritz Cole
Following a stellar performance in the final three matches of World Cup 60 qualifying, Fritz Cole was elevated to the starting lineup and has remained there ever since. Despite the relative ups and downs of his domestic club, where he is one of the biggest stars, Cole has proven to be a reliable performer on the National Team. His skills mostly lie in counters and tackling, but he has a diverse range of talents on the defensive end.
CB - 28 - Club: Image Willingham AC - 63 Caps - 0 Goals

Matty Paige
Paige, signed to Iturributa United after only a season in the GPL, is one of the most successful Gordonopians in both the international club and national team levels. One of the strongest defenders in the Iturributa Premier League, he has remained with one of that competition's dominant two squads: Iturributa United. On top of his agility, which has allowed him to keep up with breakaways, Paige has also demonstrated the rare defensive talent of being able to score should he be needed, and is the highest scoring player in the backfield in team history.
CB - 26 - Club: Image Iturributa United, Iturributa - 60 Caps - 5 Goals

John Bates

After being relegated to the reserves following the World Cup 60 qualifying stage, John Bates has returned to the starting eleven. For the past several seasons, he has been with Taeshan's New Capetown Falcons where he has found a fair modicum of success. It was his role as the 'fifth man' for the National Team's powerful defense, though, that ultimately earned him a starting role with the departure of Michael Stahl.
CB - 28 - Club: Image New Capetown Falcons, Taeshan - 32 Caps - 0 Goals

James Stahl
For another cycle, James Stahl has managed to hold onto his starting spot, despite strong competition from the reserve lineup. This time, though, he comes in on much stronger footing thanks in large part to his breakout performance in the World Cup proper, which saw him become one of the most formidable players on Gordonopia's defense. His physical style contributed to some of Gordonopia's biggest performances, and without him, the team may not have advanced as far as it did.
LDM - 26 - Club: Image FC Deska - 66 Caps - 1 Goals

Davis Roger
A powerful defensive midfielder in the prime of his career, Davis Roger earned his spot on the national team through his superb stamina and technical skills, as well as his solid performance during the team's previous cycles. His greatest strength remains his ability to intercept passes, a statistic in which he led the GPL for several seasons, and which he put to good use in games such as the national team's famous 2-0 upset of then 6th ranked Valanora in World Cup 60 qualification as an unranked squad.
CDM - 25 - Club: Image Reinheim Metros - 70 Caps - 0 Goals

Lane Franz
Another key FC Deska player makes a mark on the National Team with Lane Franz. At his club, he is viewed as the 'third point' in a deadly triangle composed of himself, James Stahl, and Jay Neuman that makes up the largest brick in the Northern Wall. Working as a highly efficient screen, Franz has managed to shut down numerous breakaways before they even begin. Supported by the rest of the national teams' defense, Franz completes a solid force that has benefited from four cycles of relative consistency. The fact that most of the lineup has remained the same, while the players have managed to improve, gives hope to Gordonopian supporters for another big year.
RDM - 31 - Club: Image FC Deska - 77 Caps - 3 Goals

Jeff Draper
With perhaps the biggest shoes to fill of any player on the team, Jeff Draper finds himself with the daunting task of filling Norm Bates' shoes. Despite the fact that he has said this will be his last cycle, Draper's spot on the starting lineup gives Gordonopia FC fans reason to hope for their team's return to prominence on the squad. Draper is a very strong assist producer, with most of his work coming from the middle.
AM - 31 - Club: Image Gordonopia FC - 17 Caps - 0 Goals

Jere Tobias - Vice Captain
Jere Tobias is an essential part of the team's offense. After winning the golden boot in 2012, Tobias bounced around internationally, first to Juvillian Martinax of Erathore, and then to Paramus FC of Vielha. After several seasons back in the GPL, he finally found a home with Qidade Savana of Jasĭyun. With his ability to both score, and recognize when someone else has a better chance, Tobias has a lot to back up his position on the team, including his ongoing National Team scoring record.
ST - 28 - Club: Image Qidade Savana, Jasĭyun - 74 Caps - 29 Goals

Vonn Keller
Vonn Keller is a striker who works stunningly with other players. On the national team, those players are primarily his fellow attackers Jere Tobias and, hopefully, Jeff Draper. He was a major contributor to the team's success last cycle and looks to continue that this time around, and perhaps even take the scoring record from Tobias. Keller's incredible speed, and his ability to avoid the offsides trap, makes him an ideal candidate for a deep striker.
ST - 29 - Club: Image Kaje Football - 60 Caps - 24 Goals

Coaching

Manager: Michael Neu
Neu is the most successful manager in modern Gordonopian history. In the early days of the Gordonopia Premier League, he built a formidable squad with FC Deska, winning the regular season in 2012, the inaugural season, and the Gordonopia Cup in 2013, and building the foundation for a team that has been the most dominant in the league.

After his second season with Deska, Neu signed on with a three-cycle contract to the Gordonopian National Team, where he has built the squad from a virtual nobody, coming off of its first cycle in decades, to the surprise underdog of the 63rd Cup, leading his team to the semi-finals.

Neu is a defensive minded coach, but one who is no stranger to working with talented strikers. With the National Team, he tends to favor a 4-3-1-2 formation, with the 3 being primarily defensive midfielders. A solid defensive core was built up around several of Neu's former players from Deska, while a pair of superb strikers, Jere Tobias and Vonn Keller, became the crux of the offense.

Assistants: Thomas Cox, David Günther, Max Fleisching

Stadium
Empire Stadium, Gordonopia City
Capacity: 160,000
Empire Stadium is the shrine to Gordonopian football. Built as one of the first major public works projects following the Civil War, the stadium is the primary home for the national team, as well as the home site for the Gordonopia Cup and Inter-League Cup Finals, on top of other notable matches. Located in the colossal Capital Metropolitan Area, home to over 200,000,000 people, it is impossible to find a football match at the stadium that isn't sold out, despite the fact that the metro area has, at various times, been home to as many as four top flight football squads, and several in the second tier, each of which have their own stadium. Recently, the stadium gained worldwide exposure when it hosted the final and several earlier matches of the 51st Baptism of Fire, which was won by New Sideburn.

The SingapuROAR Lions

SingapuROAR sends a squad of 24 players to the 64th Football World Cup. Their preferred formation is 4-2-3-1, and their forte is in attack. However, this often leads opponents counterattacking on the break, and it is not helped by a porous defense.

Goalkeeper 1. Izwan Mahbud, 23, 'Gandalf the Grey'. A young and rising star, he plays for SPL (SingapuROAR Premier League) club side Café FC. His hands are the most secure in the entire nation and has the record of being the only goalie ever to keep a clean sheet (SingapuROAR's matches are remarkably high-scoring) in a competitive match. He is known to the fans as Gandalf the Grey, due to his 'thou shalt not pass' attitude towards footballs.

Defenders 2. Daniel Bennett, 32, 'Mr Reliable'. Bennett is a witty, agile defender whose strengths are in intercepting and tackling. Bennett makes up for his small stature with amazing stamina and speed. His nickname comes from the final of the 2010 Southeast Utopian Cup against bitter rivals SingapuMEOW, in which he made three goal line clearances, one of which resulted in a goal for SingapuROAR. His heroics in that match earned SingapuROAR a 4-3 win, and his own piece of SingapuROAR football history.

3. Jim Bonk, 27, 'The brick wall'. Jim Bonk not very clever, but good at football. Jim very good at bonk ball away from opponent. Opponent always curse Jim, but Jim no care. Jim just like to bonk footballs. But, sometimes Jim too excited and bonk not just ball, but also opponent, and then referee give Jim red card. Usually Jim just say sorry and walk off, but one time Jim very angry and go and bonk referee. And then Jim banned from football for 3 months. So now Jim only bonk balls, no bonk opponent, no bonk referee.

4 & 5. Leftwinger and Rightwinger Phillips, both 24, 'The Twinkies'. Leftwinger and Rightwinger are twins, and were given - ahem - auspicious names by their football-obsessed parents who wanted their children to do well in sports. Despite constantly being laughed at in school, the brothers rose through the youth academy of Cafè FC to become their vital players. They are speedy defenders who often cross into the opposition half of the pitch to lob long balls into the box. They play in the positions specified in their names.

Defensive Midfielders 6. Kæn Rafters, 24, 'Rrrrraaaarr!fters!' Rafters is another young star in the ranks of Café FC. On the aggressive national team, he is the link between attack and defense, and is in charge of putting through balls behind the defense for the strikers to attack. He has also bailed his team out from tight positions periodically, and plays a key role in plugging up a porous defense. He is the strategist of the team, and is SingapuROAR's vice-captain.

7. Hercule Poirot, 29, 'The detective'. Poirot partners Rafters in defensive midfield, with a similar portfolio in the team. His attacking role is to boot long balls down the flanks for the strikers to chase. He is the scout of the team, always managing to get accurate reports of opposing teams' tactics. He usually does this with bugs and hidden cameras, but occasionally deploys someone to infiltrate dressing rooms looking for a toilet. *Note: Refer to 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Attacking Midfielders 8. Gabriel Quak, 25, 'The Temple Runner'. Quak is a talented player who takes care of the left flank. He does lots of crossing and has extreme stamina that enables him to sprint everywhere throughout the entire match. His hobby is outrunning defenders, which he naturally excels in. However, he is in need of shooting practice and has the dubious record of having the highest shots-to-goals ratio. Hence, his duty is to evade the defense and pass the ball to the strikers for them to finish.

9. Yesseree Hanapi, 24, 'The monkey-man'. Hanapi's nickname is not because he is Tarzan and enjoys running around in the buff, but because of his cheeky tendency to chip the ball over opposing keepers. He takes charge of the right flank, but often lends a hand in set-pieces. However, due to his rebellious and over-audacious demeanor, he frequently gets into trouble off the pitch.

10. Baihakki Fjørdbergen, 27, 'The control tower'. Fjørdbergen is the supporting striker of the team, towering above everybody else. Due to his height, he is a vital player in set-piece situations. He is also the 'seer' of his team, as he can always see what is going on anywhere on the pitch. As for his nickname, he avoids it at all costs.

Striker 11. Shahril Ishak, 26, 'He who terrorises goalies'. Shahril Ishak is the charismatic, inspirational leader of the team. He wears the captain's armband and is responsible for the bulk of his team's goals. Ishak is renowned not only for his ability to score from almost anywhere on the pitch, but also for his celebrations. They range from 70s dance moves to crashing into the woodwork and being stretchered off. Small and speedy, he takes the weight of being the central striker in SingapuROAR's 4-2-3-1 formation.

Subs: Goalkeepers: 12. Hyrul Nissan 13. David Lee

Defenders: 14. Isa Halim 15. Cassim Puyolle 16. Clarence Clearance 17. Safuwan Aleph

Defensive Midfielders 18. Dick Dowey 19. Josh Dormeyere

Attacking Midfielders 20. John Doe 21. Steve Macintosh 22. Peter Fox

Strikers 23. Jason Fox 24. Derrick Johnson

Penalties - Shahril Ishak Penalty shootout - Shahril Ishak, Izwan Mahbud, Yesseree Hanapi, Kæn Rafters, Hercule Poirot Free Kicks - Kæn Rafters, Baihakki Fjørdbergen Corners - Rightwinger or Leftwinger Phillips, depends on which corner corner kick is taken from.

STADIUM USED FOR WORLD CUP 64 QUALIFIER

St Traffortan Stadium, Struggait DC- Struggait City - 83,932

Team Overview
Under the leadership of Mapletish's first female manager, Mapletish managed another historical feat as they reached the knockout rounds of the Cup Of Harmony once again, and getting knocked out at the Montreal's quarter finals to their closest rivals West Angola 4-0. A pretty cruel scoreline that knock them out of contention to the Montreal's semi-finals. Struggling to reach the World Cup proper, the World Cup 64, will be the Lions 8th attempt on qualifying for the World Cup, eyes are on Kristin Janette, would she be able to perform miracles? What progress can she make then?

Management Team

Manager: Kristin Janette, 27
- Janette one of the many talented faces of the management team managed to convince the Maplish crowd that she was up to task when she led the Lions to their first appearance in the knockout rounds in the Cup of Harmony 53 before leading the Lions in their World Cup 63 campaign. Despite not being able to qualify for the World Cup after being knock out in the playoffs, Janette needed a surprise run in the Cup of Harmony to prove her wits. In the 54th Cup of Harmony, she brought the Lions into their second appearance in the knockout rounds, however they failed to go any further than the Montreal's quarter finals. Despite that, the board has decided to faith in her and let her stay, her young energetic ways might be the key for the Lions as they look forward to qualify for the World Cup on their 8th attempt.

Assistant Manager: Orinda Rosaline, 26
- One of Janette's most faithful assistants and her childhood friend, Rosaline followed Janette through her coaching courses as both of them graduated with the Mapletish FA "A" license which allowed them to coach in the Premier League and the national team. Strict and energetic, her main tools in training are her motivational periods in which she would let her softer side take over as the team relaxed after training.

First-Team Coach: Isabel Calixta, 27
Goalkeeping Coach: Angelina Tina , 21
Physio: Asunción Irisa, 28
Team Doctor: Fionola Morna, 29

The Buio'Dzz
Before every match, the team members (including the designated substitutes for the match) will perform a traditional ritual, called the Buio'Dzz on the pitch just before play begins. This is one of the many tribe war dance from the aboriginals of Mapletish, meant to awe their opponents, this is similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' haka before their matches. This would be performed unless the hosts of the match in question object to the ritual.

Starting XI

[ 1 ] - GK - Sapphire Avalon - Age 23- New Portland Rovers ♀
The first choice keeper of New Portland Rovers, she was handed her chance to play in the World Cup 62 qualification campaign, with the introduction of female players into the squad to put in some "feminine energy" with more careful passes instead of risky passes that often went out of play and losing procession. Sapphire proved to be firm on her feet in front of goal as a gymnastic enthusiast as she put in highly acrobatic saves and reliable on goal. Sapphire has proven to be a reliable shot-stopper through the World Cup 63 campaign, and in Janette's new WC 64 campaign, she is now handed the number one shirt.

[ 2 ] - DR - Florence Vivian - Age 20 - Struggait United ♀
Often seen bombing down the right wing in support of the forwards or being the extra man in front to relieve the pressure off the shoulders of the midfielders whether is it in her club or for her nation. Vivian is indeed the female version of Barrett Ron, who would also put in the well needed attacking runs on the right wing and defending whenever possible. With an extra three years worth of experience, she is certainly a safer option that Ron, although she might lack the body frame of her male counterpart.

[ 3 ] - DC - Taylor Sadie - Age 27 - Home United ♀
The main female in defence and the current most senior defender in Home United. Mentored by former national defender Cecilia Maddalena, Taylor was brought into the game at a comfortable rate under Cecilia as she gained experience on the pitch. Known for her rampant tackles, whether is it standing or sliding, and her aggressiveness in marking any forward or winger that comes her way. It is no doubt that even male players would find it difficult to get past her. A decent successor of Cecilia.

[ 4 ] - DC - Jaimie Lim - Age 22 - New Portland Rovers ♀
The thought of a female player in the defences with only a few years in professional football and almost zero experience in playing against men, that was the idea of what Jaimie gave the fans when she was first call up to the squad for the World Cup 62 qualification. Fast, agile and a good vision in her playing style. Despite not being the John Davis kind of player where tackling and speed are key to his game, Jaimie breaks the image of a traditional Maplish centre back with tackling being one of her weakness in play but her passes and clearances are one of the niche of her game to cover up for the lack of tackling that she is putting in. A young and energetic caliber in defence, she is an exciting prospect that has a long road ahead of her.

[ 5 ] - DL - Chong Mei Kei - Age 22 - New Portland Rovers ♀
A hugely dynamic presence in the defence in club, Mei Kei played her way towards New Portland after starting abroad awhile back, her huge promise and untapped potential mostly from the prospect of playing in the youth squads overseas impressed then manager Muain Newtons. He wasn't wrong in his selection though as she put in the effort and proved critics wrong. During the World Cup 62 qualification campaign she repaid the fate shown in her by Muain Newtons and earned a starting spot after a consistent performance during the preparation phrase of the qualification campaign. On her second selection by Janette in the WC 63 qualification, she showed maturity in her play as she repaid Janette for putting trust into her as she remained as the left-back for Janette throughout the campaign and in the Cup of Harmony that followed.

[ 6 ] - RDM - Jessie Leons - Age 22 - New Portland Rovers ♀
Another promising female player from New Portland Rovers, a converted and all rounded player of her time and one of the youngest, she takes a liking on the legendary female player of all time, Maria Sarah, who was also an all round player of her kind. Used as a forward by Muain Newtons because of her speed and physical game despite being a female, she was also nominated for the Cup Of Harmony 54 Goal Of The Tournament. A calm reader of the game and experience playmaker for her age, it was later decided that Jessie should be positioned at the lower half of the pitch to get the full view of the game, in which she was able to perform to her greatest potential during training sessions and it was proven with performances improving gradually. A change in position did not however hinder her chances in front of goal, as she set on some game winning performances in the 63rd WC qualification campaign for the Lions.

[ 8 ] - LDM - Gosta Esbjörn - Age 39 - Moonchester United - CAPTAIN ♂
An experienced figure in the centre of the pitch, as well as a player full of energy and enthusiasm. Gosta made his first appearance for the club during the 1990–91 season and has been a regular player since the 1991–92 season. He established himself as a left winger during the 1990s, and continued in this position well into the 2000s, though he has been increasingly used in a deeper playmaking role in his latter years. Gosta is known for his tireless running, ball possession and ability to create goalscoring opportunities for those around him. He was last seen in international action under Erick Rickson, before he announced his international retirement just a few months before the Lions played in the Baptism of Fire 44. His presence in his club as the man in the engine room and the man in front of the defences impressed many throughout his career. However, a month before he was inducted to the Mapletish Football Hall of Fame in 2005, he broke his skull and he collided into the goalpost and was out of action for 10 and a half months. Throughout that period, he almost considered retirement but he was stopped by then Moonchester United manager Atkinson, in which Gosta stayed and completed his rehabilitation. Gosta laid low at Moonchester with occasional appearances for the club during his rehabilitation period. He made a full comeback after almost a year out of regular football. His addition to Janette's squad was seen as a surprise to everyone mainly due to the fact that he was absent from international football for 7 World Cups, a pretty long period for any player, when asked for her decision, Janette replied with a simple answer, "experience", and that would certainly do the Lions some good as the first male player to be named in her teamsheet. Experience, experience and more experience.

[ 11 ] - CM - Di Ai Jing - Age 22 - Struggait United ♀
An inspiring young figure on the pitch for Struggait United. An inspiring captain for the U-21s just a year back for Mapletish, where the Under 21s won the Union Championships under her fine leadership. Ai Jing was put under the mentor-ship of Maria Sarah during her time in the La Ademica, the prestigious youth academy of Home United, where she was developed as a centre midfielder in the middle of the play where passes, passes and more passes go through her. Despite her small frame, her accurate passes and technique often covered her weakness. Straight after her graduation from La Ademica, she joined Struggait United for M$4.5 million, a bargain sale to Struggait United. Putting in consistent performances, she soon caught the eye of Janette where she was given the chance to train with the senior squad and eventually made her way into Janette's teamsheet.

[ 10 ] - CAM - Di Natile - Age 26 - Golden Phoniex ♂
An inspiring captain for the U-21s in the past, as well as some impressive game changing performances for Muain in the previous World Cup qualification campaign, he was a key member of Golden Phoniex's first Premier League victory as they topped rivals Home United in a seven point thriller. A former member of the prestigious La Ademica, the youth academy of Home United, United must be kicking themselves up for letting Di Natile go for a hefty USD $37.5 million, which came as a bargain for them. Impressive performances at the wing in Muain's set-up, he was converted inwards as an all around attacking midfielder by Janette who can play anywhere up in front. His game changing performance against arch rivals Gyatso-kai could always be remembered as he took on the defences single handed before distributing an important pass to bag an assist. The upcoming campaign will give Di Natile a chance or two to perform.

[ 7 ] - CAM - Enkainia Lee - Age 22 - New Portland Rovers ♀
A talented quick and all rounded player to start with, she was first introduced to the team under the second reign of Muain Newtons. With her first World Cup qualification campaign in the WC 62 cycle. she has since been an important member of the Lions' squad having record some fanciful play in the middle of the pitch as part of the engine room in Muain's master plan. She has since never look back once as she top the list against other male competitors to her spot with her strong presence in her club side. Her idol was no doubt Maria Sarah an all rounded female legend who takes on the role of her female Francis Lee with her strength and energy in her playing style something that Enkainia models in her own playing style too.

[ 34 ] - CF - Alero Junio - Age 27 - Home United - VICE CAPTAIN ♂
The man that single handedly took on defences and one of the most feared player of the Lions, he was in every set up and master plans of all different managers in his Lions' career. The front man of the pack, he is the Lions' goal poacher and main target man in every match, whether is it playing down on the left, right or in the centre of the play, he is always up to task. Modelling the playing style of Francis Lee, the all rounded male legend of Mapletish football, he is faster than he look and he rarely lets the ball slipped out from his foot as he is always close to it. His ability to surprise defenders and scare the opposition keeper with his strong shots are what makes him the most dangerous man in the Lions' squad. The man in front of the five men box in Janette's master plan, he will be more dangerous in the upcoming matches. Always wearing on the "34" jersey number on his back ever since he started playing football, it was a magic number for him like how "11" was to Francis Lee.

Reserves

[ 14 ] - GK - Maryam Stephanie - Age 27 - Bury Town Ladies ♀
One of the few experienced goalkeepers in the trade in the Women's team, it was clear that she will stepped up to take the number one spot for the Lions' squad, however her place was challenged by Sapphire Avalon after an injury which gave way to Sapphire. Agile and an excellent reader of the game, she has proven to be an excellent reader after her power goalkicks has proved to turn games around. A player with strong nerves too, she is also a first choice penalty taker, another option for Janette here when she needs someone to turn games around quickly.

[ 15 ] - UD/DWR - Lina Agnetha - Age 20 - Celtics Rovers ♀
A young player at the back, a leading right back for Celtics Rovers in their title challenge in the Women's Premier League. An energetic and great passer at the back, Lina was seen more as a playmaker rather than a defender, she has also proven to be a wing threat through her strong crosses and dangerous break-ins from the wing. A product of the Celtics' youth academy, she has gone on to play for the Women's Under 21 before her addition to the squad by Janette.

[ 16 ] - UD/DL - Adela Lynette - Age 26 - Djax ♀
A utility defender who can play anywhere at the back, with a more preferred position as the right back, Adela played her way through the youth academy of Djax before featuring for them as a young academy graduate, a mere underestimated and overlooked player, she caught Muain's eye when he was doing his usual observation rounds in the training grounds and during matches but she failed to make his final cut in his team. Adela however caught the eye of Janette through her speedy support on the wings and firm player in the defence, further consistent performances confirmed her addition in Janette's squad.

[ 17 ] - UD/CDM - Nicole Natalie - Age 22 - New Portland Rovers ♀
A call up once again by Janette came not as a surprise for Nicole as her previous performances in the World Cup 63 qualification campaign has shown that she was capable of providing for her team, one of the few exciting prospects from the NPR youth academy. It came as no surprise for her as she has worked hard for the call up by Janette, partnering Jaimie and Mei Kei in defence back in NPR, they were an invincible force at the back as they would wind up defence into attack in support of the midfield and put on neat performances both in attack and in defence. A great passer at the back, her slim build was more than useful as her speed was largely unmatched by the players in the Mapletish Women's Premier League. Dangerous in the air too, corners and crosses from the flanks would be something easy for her to play in for.

[ 18 ] - CM - Janelle Elda - Age 21 - New Portland Rovers ♀
Janelle, a player with great flair and technique and her bags of stamina, who enjoys running all round the pitch. Usually paired with Enkainia in the midfield, both of them have raked up more passes then any other midfield pairings of the Mapletish Women's Premier League. An established player from the ranks of New Portland Rovers, she was first call up to the Lions' squad for the WC 62 qualification campaign. Known as the midfield domimo, she is a traditional centre midfielder, full of untapped potential, playing matches would be key for her development as a player.

[ 19 ] - CM/RM/LM - Diego Alvarez - Age 24 - Lumburg CV ♂
An important figure for Lumburg CV's promotion to the Premier League and an important figure in the Campeonato Rushmori Juvenil Sub-20, he is one of the most technically gifted midfielders in his team. Known of some excellent distribution of the ball, with the ability of picking out a team-mate with just a single touch of the ball, this quiet individual can often be seen practicing alone and letting his feet do the talking. However he tends to be a complacent player and a single mistake made in a game would affect his morale for many more matches to come. Not a very complete player in his own opinion, he was capable of making game changing performances under Muain's guidance. If the current midfield pair of Enkainia and Di Natile proves to be a good combination to the top of the five men box, you may well be seeing Alvarez idling on the bench.

[ 20 ] - CM/RW/CF - Dennis Long - Age 27 - Djax ♂
A driving force in the rise of Djax who are now playing their trade in the Mapletish Premier League after plying their trade in the lower divisions seasons before. Dennis was placed in the front row of many other players in the same position of him. The target man for Djax, he proved to be a very hardworking player often seen staying back after training and putting in the extra effort to train. After a takeover by mega-rich owners, Dennis sees a change in his footballing career as he becomes the highest paid player below the Football League, with a weekly salary of USD$35,000, which may well be the salary ceiling for some Championships clubs in the higher divisions. The most valuable asset of Djax, he is fast and nimble and a dangerous figure in the box, hitting in an amazing 105 goals in 42 games in the Sunday League averaging 2.5 goals every game. The unofficial highest number of goals scored in a single league season, beating Francis Lee's 80 league goals in 38 league matches by goal average and number of goals scored. First call up Olenz Heinz, it all proves to say that Heinz made the right choice of putting Dennis in the squad as he hit in 80% of the goals for Mapletish in CoH 52 as the Lions finished last in the group stage. Under Janette, Dennis might put in some game changing performance if called on in matches and that is what the Fireykop would be looking in for.

[ 21 ] - CF/ST/RF - JH Morison - Age 27 - East Lakers IV ♂
With a series of hugely impressive performances in the Premier League with East Lakers IV after falling out of favour in Home United after injuries plagued his stay in his childhood club, he has established himself as the lone striker of East Lakers IV's game with several fearsome and talented performances under his belt, he has established himself as a talented player however his inconsistency in delivering the goods are what keeps him on the bench all the time. though hardworking in training and a high attacking work rate, he often failed to deliver during matches misfiring shots. It all comes down to see which manager is able to put him in some kind of scoring form again or at least put him in a consistent form.

[ 22 ] - CF/LF/LW - Cirillo Remigio - Age 29 - Bury Town ♂
First selected by Heinz for the Cup Of Harmony 52, and blooded into the youthful and disciplined set up of Heinz and then assistant manager Esteban. He might be under performing in the international stage when first selected, but he was part of the driving force that put Bury Town into the Premier League for the first time in their history. Confident that Remigio would not miss the kind of attacking sense that he displayed in matches that impressed Janette, it would proved to be risky for Janette though like the kind of risk post to Heinz when he was first called up in the 52nd Cup Of Harmony. It all boils down to how Janette make use of his strengths.

[ 23 ] - CAM/RW/RF/CF - Kimberly Aurora - Age 21 - New Portland Rovers ♀
Another player from New Portland Rovers, Kimberly Aurora would make the entire Lions' squad complete with NPR's influence in the style of play if all the females in the Lions' squad play in one match, there would be a near complete team of NPR. Kimberly caught the eye of Janette when she was looking for female players to fit into her squad, a great pair with Jessie Leons in front of the play, the fearsome duo has dominated the game right in the Women's Premier League with some attractive playing style. Fast and agile on the run, Kimberly is full of stamina and can she would be able to run end to end for 120 minutes of play if needed, making her one of the fittest player in the master plan of Janette. She would well be able to form a partnership with Enkainia if needed if Di Natile doesn't seem to match up to Enkainia's style of play.

Player Roles
Captain : Gosta Esbjörn
Vice-Captain : Alero Junio
Direct Free Kick Taker : Alero Junio/Di Natile/Jessie Leons
Indirect Free Kick Taker : Gosta Esbjörn/Jaimie Lim/Taylor Sadie
Penalty Taker : Alero Junio/Gosta Esbjörn/Jessie Leons
Right Corner : Gosta Esbjörn/Chong Mei Kei/Enkainia Lee
Left Corner : Gosta Esbjörn/Alero Junio/Jaimie Lim

TACTICS: "The Leones Da Spectrum" OR "The 4-2-1-2-1"
The Maplish game is fast, physical and highly procession keeping where short passes are played around the players. Fitness is key to the Maplish game where the game switches positions quickly and in an instance. With the players switching positions all the time, the players are tactically disciplined to begin with and cannot afford to take on the defence on his/her own or it might upset the balance of the play if not done properly. Despite that majority of the players are technically gifted with homegrown tricks here and there in the play. The centre of the play is considered to be the most important part of the Spectrum where a "five men box" is put into placed by the five interchanging midfielders. Commonly known as the engine room, any long balls or crosses are played out from either of the five players from the box. The five men box forms four triangles that re position when the play changes sides. The man in the centre of the "five men box" would be the playmaker where all of the connecting passes to the attack would be play past to him. The two players behind the centre forward would the interchangeable attacking midfielders who can be used as an inverted winger to support the play from the wings or being an additional targeting support player. The defence is another crucial part of the spectrum, any quick counterattacking play would be played out through the wing backs who are always quick and on their toes. The quick pressing game of the defence puts opposition on pressure as the defence won't give you a second on the ball to think. In the Leones Spectrum, all players are expected to be able to play in all positions as all positions on the pitch are interdependent of each other and interchangeable of each other. It is some sort of a defensive 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-2-1, but it is a style of football where such interchangeable positions would be useful for the players. Any tired player would swap position to a less taxing role in play and recover, one of the tricks to the Spectrum playing style. So its the he Leones Da Spectrum or the Lions spectrum.

TSE’s World Cup 64 team
When this team was built, these guys and girls selflessly applied only with their initials. They claimed that they were doing it for the glory of God first and national pride second, without care to personal gain. These players are also singers, which they believe helps them be in sync and builds teamwork. The players are divided into tiers by age, with Tier 1 getting more play time than Tier 2, Tiers 3/4 getting less than that. Because this is their first World Cup, they have been told by their coach to be extremely conservative and defensive.
Style Multiplier: -5
Formation: 3-3-4

Sopranos (Offensive)

The sopranos are physically smaller, but they are fast and agile. They can take the ball and place it just where they want to. MB is particularly offensive, and will probably score almost all of the goals.
Tier 1: MB, HS, JLo, AL
Tier 2: LC, EW, MS, KB

Baritones (Midfield)

The men on the team are a wide range of sizes and have been put at midfield for such. ZP is often a goalie, but when he isn’t a goalie, he is midfield. AS, JLe, TH, LS, JF and DHu will be positioned more offensively at midfield, with ZP, TM, TO and GS positioned at the defensive side of midfield.
Tier 1: ZP, AS, JLe, TH, TM
Tier 2: TO
Tier 3: GS
Tier 4: LS, JF, DHu, EC

Altos (Defensive)

The altos are bigger and stronger. They have a greater ability to block shots and battle for the ball. These are the most “harmonious” group; they are best friends and will back each other up in any kind of fight on the field. Whenever ZP isn’t goalie, CD is.
Tier 1: CD, BP, KO, DHe, AA, AB, KH
Tier 2: CH
Tier 3: BH

Head Coach: LK who has almost 30 years of choir and soccer experience.
Assistant Coach: JS who has a lot of administrative experience and works well with LK
Goalies: ZP or CD, this will be a game day call (if Rp’ing first, choose the goalie that didn’t play the day before).

RP Permissions:
Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events N
RP injuries to my players N
Godmod injuries to my players N
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players N
Godmod other events N

If you’d like, you can have these players sing the national anthem for 1 or both teams. If there is one thing they respect more than each other, it is music. They will honor any national anthem.

Choose my goalscorers Y, but try to keep them in the starting 11
Godmod scoring events Y, but not too ridiculous
RP injuries to my players Y, but not to serious
Godmod injuries to my players Y, but please don't cripple them
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y, but not excessively
Hand out red cards to my players Y, but not too often
Godmod other events Y, make it funny

And the team:

Manager: George Davies- Resigned from the first team after a very disappointing start to the World Cup 56, which he deemed disgraceful for a team who had just won the Baptism of Fire, but has since returned to the side. Hoping to rebuild Kalumba's international reputation after a long period away from competition.

First Team Coach: Magnus Malan- Led the team throughout the last World Cup without much success but he did record a notable victory against highly rated Newmanistan, and suffered only narrow defeats to teams in the top 25 in the world. Very defensive minded and his approach led the team to be nicknamed 'The Tortoises'.

Goalkeepers:
Terrence Ottbourne-No.1 38 years old and team captain, an agile ex-paratrooper. He led the team to victory in the BoF and kept a clean sheet until the quarter-final. Together with Aaron Yuill of Southern Cynocephali was the outstanding keeper of the tournament. Now plays in Kagdazka and Pazhujebu proffesionally. Getting on a bit now, but still a force to be reckoned with.
Frank Burnden-No.67 42 year old veteran keeper, useful back up option. Will not expect to start but will most probably be on the bench to cover for the outstanding 'Super Terry' Ottbourne.
Peter Franks-No.41 23 year old rookie, first selection for the team. Missed out on going to the Di Bradini cup by 2 months, so will be hoping to play a few games to secure his position as long term successor to Ottbourne. May play in less crucial group games or when Kalumba are knocked out. Still strugging to fulfill his early potentiial.

Defenders:
LB-Derek Ward, 29 year old truck driver, stupid but effective No. 12 Recently banned from driving for Drink-Driving, will be hoping to secure a place at a foreign club team to provide him with an income.
LCB-Ronan Beardly, 33 year old, also Kalumba's golfing champion No. 14 Has suffered a nasty shoulder injury but should fit in time for the CoH.
LCB-Duncan Edward, 22 year old, pretty boy, but solid at the back No. 4 Recently married with a child will his mind be fully on the World Cup?
RCB-Klaus Van Harniggen, 24 year old, 6 foot 6, deadly in the air No. 6 Enrolled in a boxing program and has further added strength to his frame.
RCB-Norman Baker, 28 year old bank manager, great slide tackler No. 5 Castigated in the news for losing his bank a large amount of money speculating on the stock market, will try to rebuild his reputation.
RB-James Downs, 39 year old ex-rugpy prop forward, solid but no agility whatsoever No. 3 Recently dropped from his Rugby team so is looking to football for his wage.
RB-Frank Ruyten, 23 year old civil servant, very fast but poor crossing ability No. 19 Has worked on his crossing but still struggles to fulfill his promise as an attacking fullback.

Midfielders:
LM-Peter Kurtz, 25 year old full time proffesional footballer No. 21 Still struggling for form but has improved at the World Cup scoring twice and creating another couple for Kalumba.
LM-James Fish, 19 year old protege No. 9 Still a protege, retained for the first team instead of the U21s so Davies clearly intends to play him.
CM-Ollie Roberts, 24 year old model and dancing champion No. 18 First high profile homosexual in Kalumba. Has moved to Southern Cynocephali to play proffesionally and be open with his sexuality.
CM-Ben Rowlatt, 26 year old boxer No. 16 Robert's husband. Their relationship has caused problems in the team but after performances from them both helped to win the BoF are being more accepted.
CM -Oliver Dempster, 33 year old taxi driver No. 15 Recovering from shock after being mugged in his taxi, but will recieve the fans full support.
CAM -Ben Cheeter, 23 built like an arab donkey but with the shot of an angry mule No. 27 Didn't impress at either the BoF or the last WC but still integral to the team as he links the midfield to the strikers.
CDM- William Anderson, 37 year old Protestant Minister, couldn't tackle for toffee but aggrssive as the most violent phsycopath No. 17 Has toned down his aggression as he recieved a lot of yellow cards at the BoF and the last WC and was lucky not to be sent off.
RM-Chris Abouto, 23 year old sprinter, fast and can turn on a sixpence No. 33 A truly marvellous footballer, other than Ottbourne our player of the year. Scored many and set up more. Also rewarded with a move to proffesional football in K&P.
RW-Jermaine Filks, 33 year old great crosser of the ball No. 11 Due to Abouto's excellence has yet to feature but has worked on his left sided play in hope of getting a starting position.

Strikers:
RS- Roland Grezlak, 28 year old, 6 foot strong as an ox No. 8 Came on to score many a crucial goal, will be looking for me involvment this time round.
RS- Anthony Peters, 23 year old, youngster but top scorer last season No. 99 Barely featured but did score our second goal in the BoF final. Will be looking to break into the team on a regular basis.
LS-James Malone, 36 year old, seasoned veteran No. 21 Struggled for form and not likely to feature here unless there is a major injury crisis.
CF- Kevin Davis, 34 year old, ex-heavyweight champion boxer No. 10 Another key player. His goals and hold up play won Kalumba many games and will be hoping to continue his wonderful form and impress at this World Cup which may be his last.
CF- Craig Garden, 28 year old, reliable but not much skill No. 93 Another non-starter and like Malone will struggle to record a further cap to his collection of seven.

Starting line-up:

4-5-1 (Style Modifier: -1)

GK Terrence Ottbourne (c)

LB Derek Ward
LCB Duncan Edward
RCB Klaus Van Harniggen
RB Frank Ruyten

LM Peter Kurtz
CM Ollie Roberts
CDM William Anderson

The Football Federation of Legalese presents
the National Team Roster for the 64th World Cup Qualifying Campaign!

Keepers:
1 – Tarquin Waldrop, 23, Myre Town
22 - Noah Simpkin, 19, Rhinos
23 - Aaron Palmer, 18, Francis City

Defense:
2 – Benson Black, 21, The Knights of Tiberia
3 - Liam Todd, 30, Argyle Warriors
4 – Phil Livingston, 33, Cragland Climbers
5 - Dwight Marcus, 24, Rhinos
13 – Kenny Stroud, 22, International of Tyrellia
15 – Cordell Wyman, 22, Francis City
12 - Irwin Boyd, 21, LC Capitals

Midfield:
6 – Jack Wayne, 28, Brecorn City
7 - Monte Kelshimer, 29, Tiberian City
8 - Lane Wilson, 23, LC Capitals
9 - Slade Brahm, 20, Draig Goch FC
14 - Sam Washington, 28, Bob's Towing
16 – Archie Sanroman, 34, Draig Goch FC
19 – Ty Henderson, 25, Tiberian City
20 – Titus Armistead, 23, The Knights of Tiberia
18 – Sherwood Hendry, 24, Ellentown Exempts

Forwards/Strikers:
11 - Xavier Boyle, 24, Bob’s Towing
10 - Jimmy Jay, 30, Bob's Towing
17 - Blake Moor, 20, LC Capitals
24 - Ken Heath, Jr., 18, Knights of Tiberia
21 - Kelvin Bassford, 31, Draig Goch FC - Note: for RP purposes, Bassford will not be with the team for the first half of qualifying, and should not be used before MD 10

Manager: Stan Thate, 36 - Stan begins his first full campaign as NT manager, having served initially as assistant manager during the WC 63 qualifying attempt, and as interim manager during the Cup of Harmony; the hoisting of the cup helped ensure the dropping of the interim tag for Stan. A former national team goalkeeper himself, Thate has brought a different style to the team, backing a little off the all-out attack, but emphasizing possession and creating opportunities.

Assistant Manager: Rufus Teague, 42 - Rufus, from Tyrellia, is a bit of an oddity. While born and raised in the Karins, Teague spent his post-secondary days on the mainland, studying at Coastal University in Sagdineo, where he studied economics and statistics; after a five-year break to teach as part of the Federal Service program, he returned to Coastal part-time for his MBA, achieved four years later. His teaching in the Sagdineo Public Schools landed him at Bateman High, where he was recruited to coach the soccer team, in addition to covering business and finance in the classroom. It was here that he was discovered, tapped by Stan Thate to join the national team staff.

Quick notes:
-All ages are as of the start of qualifying. As Legalese runs on the two-year cycle, players can be expected to increase in age by at least one year through the end of qualifying and the start of the World Cup Finals.
-The Usual starters are denoted by the jersey numbers 1-11.
-The standard starting lineup shall be a 4-4-2, with a Style Modifier of -1. The back four play in a three across with a sweeper behind, while the midfield plays a diamond midfield.

RP Permissions: Opponents who RP first shall, as pertaining to Legalese, have any and all permissions they offer in their roster's posted permissions, with the request to allow me to determine the length of any major injuries, and to not kill off any players unless requested and permitted. Should a player not post a roster and/or any RP permissions, they shall not be permitted a damn thing.

Matches hosted by Legalese in the qualifying round will take place in one of four stadia, with the RP posts to include more detailed information:

Jordan National Stadium - Legalese City
Located in the nation's capital, Jordan National Stadium serves as the primary stadium for the Federation's national team, as well as the home pitch for the club side LC Capitals. Like most major stadia in Legalese, it is an all-seater, with a capacity of 83,068 through the three tiers of seating, as well as a bank of 20 private boxes. Five of the nine qualifying matches hosted by Legalese will take place here, and is the most likely site of a potential playoff at home.

International Park - Tyrellia
Located in the Karin Islands city of Tyrellia, International is traditionally the home of International of Tyrellia, as well as the host of the Island Cup. A horseshoe-style stadium, International Park seats 52,184, with 49,184 in seats, and another 3,000 capacity in a single terrace, located behind the south end. Two of the nine national team qualifiers will take place here.

Coastal Pitch at Wilson Gulch - Sagdineo
Located on the southern shores of Lake Bekk, Coastal Pitch is normally the home of both Bekknia Athletic, as well as Coastal University, who became co-owners of the stadium after helping to finance renovations. The stadium consists of 67,982 seats, and is an all-seater. Will host one selected qualifier.

City Stadium - Francis City
Located in Legalese's most populous city, City Stadium was build by the City as part of an aim to become the site of future national team events, as well as the host to multiple Francis City - area clubs in future domestic competition. It seats 52,132, using a rectangular style that contains no corner seating, but keeps the fans close by stacking the three tiers of seats at a sharp angle. Upon revealing the design, the architect commented that it "will provide the proper acoustics to make the stadium feel like there's 100,000 cheering on the home team". Will host one selected qualifier.

Oh, and lastly, the kits, provided by Gamma Apparel:

He has traveled far and wide while plying his trade, donning kits for no less than four countries clubs, and finally returned him when he signed with United before last season. Seen as the driving force in the middle of the park alongside Hawk, it is up to the opposition to try and figure out how to deal with the brilliance the winger and his other attackers have rather than them to create magic.

Fresco has proved once again that he is suited for any role that his managers wish to give him, easily adjusting to Hearts style of play and learning his preferred moves. A great shot and football IQ make him a very dangerous attacker for the Marauders.

10 Tûrin Aerataur, Hondo FC ~
Age - 768
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"

Long has he been Hearts strike partner at Hondo, now that he has replaced the legendary striker on the national team and he has made use of his dynamic shot to keep the sting of the Vanorian attack strong, if not stronger than it ever has been before.

World Cup 20 Champions

The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium (87,000 Seating Capacity) in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali-Ring. The Tivali-Ring complex was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict. 'The Ring' has since hosted countless international matches including high profile matches such as the World Cup 31 Final and the 40th Series 'B' Champions Cup Final.

Despite being based at the Ring, The Football Association of Vilita regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the 87,000 capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali-Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, domestically for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchups. The Football Association typically releases a stadium schedule when applicable.

Head Coach: Calaesa Mitaroka
After a highly succesful spell as the manager of club side Jungle Strike FC, Calaesa Mitaroka led the Vilitan National Team as head coach for the first time during their World Cup 61 Qualifying Campaign. Mitaroka's late run of form secured a spot in the Finals for the Jungle Cats.

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 85 ] Nycflala Kater [ - Kiiarana City - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 85 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.83 Average Rating ]
Descended of former National Team goalkeeper Jimmy Kater, who took over the starting position on the National Team under the intense spotlight of the World Cup 17 Finals in Vilita and remained first choice keeper for the majority of Vilitan national competition in subsequent seasons before joining the coaching staff for World Cup 31. Nycflala made his full debut for the Vilita National Team during World Cup 57 where he was named the starter in 14 of Vilitas 16 qualification matches. Kater performed strongly with 6 shutouts and a 5.86 average rating. Many claim that the focus on the World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign distracted Strike players such as Kater from performing well domestically in VLeague 26. Kater ensured there would be no dissapointment in VLeague 27 leading Strike comfortably to both the League and Cup titles, repeating the feat during VLeague 29 and VLeague 30. After winning the Vilitan Cup, Stellar Division and Tropical Trophy just one more time over the next five seasons, Kater left Strike FC despite not having another contract lined up, looking to focus on the World Cup 63 Finals in nearby Turori. Humbled by the Jungle Cats epic failure in Turori, Kater went back to roots moving up the coast from Strike to Kiiarana City, the club with the smallest arena in the Stellar Division.

[ 95 ] Jawz Tiiaupila [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.00 Average Rating ]
Tiiaupila has made his first appearance for the Vilitan National Team in a shock defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifications. The 1-3 defeat was pointed at by many critics as the sole reason the Jungle Cats were unable to make a return to the World Cup Finals, dropping a full three points against the groups bottom side and inevitably finishing just one point out of the playoff zone. Tiiaupila moved from Inland Rovers on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When the Yorozura league collapsed, Tiiaupila returned to the Inland joining Inland Peaks FC where he would spend a season before joining Mliona-Lpaka Turori after their promotion to the Stellar Division. Tiiaupila became a solid performer at Mliona-Lpaka as their only recognized international player during a Season 33 campaign that saw them rise to 4th in the V-League table, earning a place in the UICA Champions League for the first time in club history.

[ 91 ] Aranora Jaded [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 24 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.78 Average Rating ]
Jaded was given a great confidence boost by the decision of the coaching staff to sell Jaqe Planst to Cednia Beach AFC. The two young keepers were fighting for the right to be the next Arcticala starting keeper, and Jaded won that job, leading Arcticala to the Tropical Trophy title in Season 27 - on penalty kicks, against his opposite number Planst who was making his first start for Cednia Beach since leaving Arcticala. After a stellar tit-for-tat opening to their careers, both Planst and Jaded hit a mid-career funk with club and country culminating with Arcticala Inlet's shock relegation from the Stellar Division following V-League Season 36 leaving many to wonder if Jaded would remain at his life-long club.

[ 92 ] Jungrii Canopii [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 25 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.40 Average Rating ]
Canopii spent most of World Cup 57 Qualifications on the bench, earning three substitute appearances in official matches, though he was named starter for the mid-qualification charity match against Akbarabad to raise money for big cats, where he made 11 saves. Despite spending most of the campaign as the primary backup, Canopii was not given the opportunity to start when #1 keeper Kater missed two matches, leading doubts as to whether he is looked upon as a serious canadidate for the starting role in the future. After starting at the Inland Academy then signing for Inland Peaks, Canopii left the home-town club when they were relegated from the Stellar Division after Season 26, joining cross-range rivals Eastal Lunar. Despite being relegated to the Declasse, Canopii led Eastal Lunar to the Vilitan Cup title during Season 28. Canopii has remained loyal to Eastal Lunar despite their relegation from the Stellar Division, turning down multiple offers to join bigger clubs in the top flight. Canopii thrust back into the National Team spotlight during World Cup 60 Qualifying, stopping 5 of the 9 matches the Jungle Cats won consecutively to qualify for the World Cup through the Playoff Pod system. Canopii would lead Eastal Lunar back to the Stellar Division before being attracted by the allure of the Lirai Asku Castle in joining the Yeaddin Owls for Season 33. Canopii was named Player of the Season at Yeaddin during Season 34 and helped lead the Owls back to International competition with the conclusion of V-League Season 36.

[ 90 ] Jaqe Planst [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 12 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.56 Average Rating ]
Planst was acquired by Cednia Beach AFC after playing just 1 match in Season 26 for Arcticala Inlet. Planst helped the Turorian side to second place in the VLeague 27 table and a return to UICA Competitions. A poor showing during the AOCL V in which Cednia Beach were eliminated in the group stage likely kept Planst out of any contention for a National Team spot during World Cup 58 Qualifiers, although, as a highly skilled keeper, Planst was still invited to the training camp. Planst has an ongoing rivalry with former Cednia Youth teammate Aranora Jaded who left Cednia Beach to join Planst's former club, Arcticala Inlet, and also achieved great success. Despite struggling to lead Cednia Beach to the domestic success they so craved and being between the sticks as Mliona-Lpaka overtook Cednia Beach as the premier domestic club in Turori, Planst was named Cednia Beach player of the season 4 times between season 28 and 35.

DEFENDERS:

[ 94 ] Miiara Makose [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 83 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.26 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club and repeated the feat during VLeague 29, doing one better, having scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of the Cup Final against the rival Yeaddin Owls. Incredibly, Makose did it again during the Season 30 Cup Final, scoring the opening goal of Strike's 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile.

[ 64 ] Uajiala Pulkki [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.09 Average Rating ]
Pulkki is a descendent of former Inland Peaks FC defender Pasi Pulkki, and many are saying he could even be better then his ancestors. Pulkki unfortunately lasted barely 22 minutes in his competitive debut against Ipeland in World Cup 57 qualifying, but has put in some more impressive performances since. Like many of his teammates, Pulkki left Inland Peaks after their relegation in VLeague 26, and headed over to Eastal Lunar. Pulkki was a star for Eastal during VLeague 27 earning a transfer to former champions Cednia Beach AFC for VLeague 28. After a season and a half in Cednia Beach, Pulkki moved to the Turoki Tide at the midway point of V-League Season 29, becoming the backbone of a defense that would lead the Tide to their first Stellar Division title(s) in addition to becoming the first Vilitan Club to lift UICA hardware, winning the Globe Cup, Super Cup and UICA Champions Cup.

[ 9 ] Ritopa Simafela [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 30 CAPS: 112 :: GOALS::SR: 10 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.12 Average Rating ]
Ritopa was a standout product of the Lunar Academy and was named as one of the captains of Vilita's World Cup 57 Qualifying Squad. The son of a Rocket Scientist and a Physicist, Simafela is already well educated and is in no way reliant on a career in sports. However, strong performances during his debut qualifying campaign including a 6.05 average rating and 2 goals spurred transfer inquiries from foreign clubs and comparisons to Vilitan greats like Enzo Ahat and Ricky Ezis. Simafela transferred to Strike FC for VLeague 27 and was an instrumental part of their double success in the League and Cup. Simafela amassed 3 Stellar Division titles, 4 Vilitan Cup championships and one Tropical Trophy victory as a member of a Strike club heavily populated with Vilitan National Team members before spending Season 35 up the coast at Kiiarana City.

[ 3 ] Niubo Deneli [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 30 CAPS: 54 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.47 Average Rating ]
Deneli was a solid prospect for the Strike Academy before a decline in his development after the age of 15, a time at which he was considered the best defensive prospect in the country. He ended up signing his first professional contract with local side Lonngeylin Coast, helping them get invited to the Declasse for Season 27, and helping them keep that spot for Season 28. Deneli, however, would leave the club and return to the other side of the street to play for Strike FC in Season 28. After a season and a half with his home club, Deneli found himself on the substitutes bench for the first time, and immediately requested a transfer, which was granted as he moved to Kiiarana. However, a miserable season at Kiiarana resulted in Deneli abandoning ship to ride with the Tide in Turoki, then, back to the big island to play for Arctical Inlet - quickly gaining a reputation as a bit of a journeyman despite strong performances all around.

[ 66 ] Sipaao Vereaoao [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- D L ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 20 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 8.13 Average Rating ]
A product of the Inland Academy, Vereaoao has played in both Vilita & Turori, but committed his future to the Jungle Cats when featuring for them as a half time substitute against Nitrome Island during World Cup 57 qualifying. Vereaoao left long-time home Inland Peaks after they failed to achieve promotion from the Declasse during VLeague 27. Vereaoao signed for Marine Coast United, who had earned promotion in addition to a place in International Competitions. However, with Marine Coast struggling to keep pace in the Stellar Division, Vereaoao jumped ship to free-spending Kiiarana for V-League Season 29, becoming a big part of the team that would challenge atop the table - finishing 3rd during Season 33 and qualifying for the UICA Champions League.

[ 68 ] Kadi Molali [ - Makosile - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 84 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.27 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali was an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal. After joining multiple clubs, including Strike FC, Molali left the VLeague abrubtly in the middle of VLeague 26. After some time off, Molali returned, signing for Eastal Lunar FC and completing a strong VLeague Season 27. Following Eastal Lunar's relegation, however, Molali - fearing the relegation could cost him appearances in the National Team, spent 2 seasons at Cednia Beach AFC before moving back to Vilita to play for Makosile.

[ 8 ] Ricata Amakra [ - Morata Valley - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
The product of the Alikka-Corra Academy is a defender being compared locally with former Alikki-Corra FC defender Emarka Laniora. While he doesn't yet share the same ability to charge up either wing with the ball, his solid defensive skills should see him earn some playing time with the National Team. Amakra has been a star performer in the Non-Leagues with the Orbital Kickers. After amassing a 10-season, 400+ match career outside the Vilitan League system, Amakra finally made the leap ahead of V-League Season 37 signing for Morata Valley and moving back to the main island.

[ 67 ] Eda Shindhi [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 18 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.02 Average Rating ]
Shindhi is a player in the mold of former Marine Coast defensive stalwarts Ade Hinds and Sibusiso Azaiez. While Shindhi still has some development to go before realizing his full potential, it is expected that he will continue to get a run out from time to time as his skills progress. Shindhi made his competitive debut in defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifying but did not impress in that performance. After being trainined at the Coastal Academy, Shindhi signed his first professional contract with Marine Coast United. Shindhi switched to Cednia Beach AFC when Marine Coast were relegated for V-League 27, not enjoying success there, eventually returning to Vilita to play for the Turoki Tide, finishing runners up in V-League 28. Shindhi moved to Arcticala for V-League 30.

[ 4 ] Tyaoino Munviola [ - Makosile - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 18 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.06 Average Rating ]
A towering defender with a dependable head, Munviola is not afraid to join the attack on corner kicks, and rarely loses a defensive header. His feet have let him down from time to time, but have been improving. Despite his inconsistencies, Munviola was a surprise package during World Cup 57 qualifying, making 6 appearances and having a strong ratings average. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, Munviola finally signed a league contract to play with Declasse side Mavaloiao for Season 30. Munviola's fast rise continued when making the big switch to V-League Champions Makosile for Season 32. Things fell apart quickly for the Makos who were anything but strong in their title defense, Munviola jumping ship back to the big island signing with the Yeaddin Owls for Season 33 before moving back to Sile.

[ 63 ] Baiiub Jual-Knakok [ - Makosile - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.36 Average Rating ]
A product of the Coastal Academy, Jual-Knakok is a left footed defender nicknamed "the Cricket" by his peers. The Cricket has been loyal to the Laiotia Locals in the Non-Leagues ever since signing his first professional contract, though the lack of exposure and experience has dropped him down the National Team depth chart. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, and the Locals once again missing out on an invitation to join the League system, Jual-Knakok finally signed a league contract to play with Marine Coast United for Season 30, but quickly moved on to the Stellar Division, eventually settling with Makosile United

[ 4 ] Timmson Leabiura [ - - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
The development of Timmson Leabiura seems to be hampered by his family's inability to stay put, and he has found himself at 6 different academies in his short sporting career. After training at the Strike Academy off and on, it was hoped by pundits that his development would spark. Leabiura would instead move to Civil Citizenry to play with Winding Street.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 36 ] Retiso Buran [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 102 :: GOALS::SR: 10 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.77 Average Rating ]
Retiso Buran was the top prospect at the Sile Academy specializing in the defensive midfield role once made famous by Jürgen Ramzi. Buran is a ferocious player who some has said can be seen with teeth gritted ready to pounce as the attacking side approaches. Appearing almost exclusively during World Cup 57 qualifying, Buran missed only one game and scored 2 goals during the campaign. Burans perofmances both for the National Team and for Makosile earned him a transfer to Strike FC for Season 27, where he earned the Vilitan Stellar Divisions top goalscorer award for the second consecutive season, the first time ever achieved by a midfielder. After spending 10 seasons at Strike the aging Buran wwas pushed out by Babbage stalwart Coll Brodie and recruited by Arcticala Inlet to try to right their failed attempt at avoiding relegation.

[ 39 ] Tujamu Treola [ - Colonial Sile - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 34 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.52 Average Rating ]
A product of the Strike Academy, Tujamu Treola excels both defensively in the midfield, and with his head both defensively and on corner kicks. Treola made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 qualifying against West Zirconia. After spending the majority of his youth at Tivali United, Treola joined Jlinal Cove in the middle of Season 31 to attempt to save them from relegation but was unsuccessful, later making the switch back to the Stellar Division, spending one season with Arcticala Inlet before moving to Sile to play with Colonial, winning both the Vilitan Cup and Tropical Trophy with the club.

[ 34 ] Danie Izmao [ - Kiiarana City - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.55 Average Rating ]
Izmao was a Strike Academy prospect who, while not rated as the highest defensive midfield prospect at the academy, was still expected to get a run out with the National Squad in World Cup 57 Qualifiers. That chance never came, and the Venom weren't interested when it came time to award professional contracts. Izmao went across the road to Lonngeylin Coast and was instrumental in helping them not only get invited to rejoin the Vilitan League System - but for the first time ever, to stay there for at least a second consecutive season. Izmao is still part of the national team player pool, especially should any injuries come in to play

[ 38 ] Dronik Ratuva [ - Morata Valley - ]
------- DM RLC ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.60 Average Rating ]
Dronik Ratuva was an exciting prospect from the Valley Academy, who is also able to move wide to defensively cover the wings when 2 or 3 central defenders are used. Ratuva helped Morata Valley earn promotion to the Stellar Division during VLeague 26.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 28 ] Riksa Valjariia [ - Turoki Tide - ]

------- M LC ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 122 :: GOALS::SR: 20 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.26 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28. The list of honors earned by Hulyer in Lonngeylin was massive, with 5 appearances in the Tropical Trophy, 3 Stellar Division Championships and a Vilitan Cup title in addition to being a finalist for Vilitan player of the Season every season he spent in Lonngeylin. After Strike failed to claim a Champions League place following Season 35, Hulyer decided it was time for a change of scenery, moving to Turori to join forces with Mliona-Lpaka FC.

[ 51 ] Steffyn Siazzu [ - Kiiara-Torra AFC - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 109 :: GOALS::SR: 14 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.92 Average Rating ]
An exciting prospect from the Yeaddin Academy, Siazzu plays behind the strikers in a clean up or attacking role atop the midfield. Despite not scoring during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Siazzu was an important presence. After spending many seasons in Yeaddin, Siazzu moved to the Turoki Tide, helping them to runners-up in the VLeague29 table.

[ 74 ] Jian Lejsrma [ - Strike FC - ]
------- AM RL ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 59 :: GOALS::SR: 14 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.88 Average Rating ]
Lejsrma is a speed demon who was trained at the Strike Academy. The most dynamic and pacey winger in the Vilitan system, he is expected to be a great player for many seasons to come. At this stage in his development, he may get overlooked as he works more on his technique and vision, but with experience, he will learn these skills. Lejsrma has been an important part of Strike FC's VLeague successes

[ 55 ] Viliaka Morasita [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 47 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.34 Average Rating ]
Morasita was the top prospect coming out of the Tivali Academy, playing central and left midfield. His sure footed tackling ability is noted but he is a well balanced midfielder. After playing a season and a half professionally for Alikki-Corra, Morasita joined the Vilitan League with Inland Peaks FC midway through VLeague 27. After spending 3 succesful seasons in the Declasse, Morasita transfered to Stellar Division side Cednia Beach AFC during Season 31. Morasita spent just one season in Cednia before moving to Makosile where he helped the Makos win the Vilitan Cup during Season 32. Strong performances for the Makos earned Morasita a transfer to Lonngeylin where Morasita was instrumental in helping Strike claim the Season 34 Stellar Division title.

[ 25 ] Kiroki Mitaroka [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 46 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.20 Average Rating ]
After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before.

[ 78 ] Relmar Winauat [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 12 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.52 Average Rating ]

[ 70 ] Aniara Jiurjai [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 22 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.38 Average Rating ]
Jiurjai was trained in Turori but declared for Vilita after being called upon for World Cup 57 Qualifying. Jiurjai can play both central and outside midfield and can use both feet equally well. After declaring for Vilita, Jiurjai moved from Turori to Turoki to play with the Turoki Tide. Strong performances during VLeague 26 earned Jiurjai a transfer to Strike for VLeague 27 where the midfielder was instrumental to Strike's League and Cup double. However, Strike's success would eventually lead to Jiurjai being excessed as an influx of new signings joined the club, and the midfielder opted to move to Arcticala Inlet when the contract allowed during Season 31, accomplishing little before moving on to Kiiarana City, performing equally unimpressively. Jiurjai had a career-best performance during Season 35 after moving to Colonial Sile, netting 3 goals.

FORWARDS:

[ 43 ] Kristofer Kilpter [ - East Franz Athletic (PIS) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 71 :: GOALS::SR: 24 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.28 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu). The struggles continued for Kilpter in the hunt for Silverware as Cednia Beach simply could not get over the hurdle, either in the V-League or in the UICA Champions League. Cednia Beach recouped their transfer fee in dishing Kilpter out to East Franz Athletic in the Polar Islandstates prior to Season 33. A rejuvinated Kilpter received praise for his performances in the Polar Islandstates while Cednia Beach would go on to miss out on Champions Cup qualification for the first time.

[ 13 ] Yves Gadois [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 17 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.57 Average Rating ]

Gadois, a product of the Inland Academy, earned an invitation to the National Team Training camp for the first time in the build up to World Cup 58.

[ 17 ] Viji-mara Lawaai [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 93 :: GOALS::SR: 23 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.65 Average Rating ]
Trained at the Strike Academy, Lawaai has excelled at shooting from long range, and making space on the edge of the penalty area with crafty turns, and may produce opportunities for free kicks if he wears down the opposition approaching the box. Lawaii made 8 substitute appearances during World Cup 57 qualifying, making his competitive debut against Krytenia, but failed to find the scoresheet.

[ 15 ] Sirkii Moliaudo [ - Kiiarana City - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 71 :: GOALS::SR: 22 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.27 Average Rating ]
Moliaudo is a real force in front of goal, rarely missing from inside the penalty area. Many eyes were on Moliaudo during the World Cup Campaign, to see how he fared with a new partner in attack, having spent his entire development partnered with Xcnaio Bansoa at the Coastal Academy. Moliaudo mostly performed well netting 4 goals and having a strong rating, but still left some wondering if there was more talent to be mined from the Marine Coast youngster. After Bansoa left Marine Coast for greener pastures, Moliaudo remained and his stock also decreased. After a second relegation with Marine Coast, Moliaudo jumped ship up the Vilitan coast to Kiiarana City. Moliaudo was named player of the season 3 times at Kiiarana before moving to Makosile

[ 9 ] Lita Adjei [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 48 :: GOALS::SR: 19 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.71 Average Rating ]
A product of the Turoki Academy, Adjei has sport in the blood, being a descendent of former Stellar Division top Forward award winner Ippolit Adjei. Adjei moved on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When that deal expired, Adjei returned to the Vilitan League, being snapped up by Kiiarana in the Stellar Division and quickly rising to the level of stardom with strong performances and crucial goals during Season 29, seeing the single-cap player called to the squad for World Cup 59. Adjei's impressive performances earned him a high-profile transfer to Arcticala Inlet for V-League 30 where the strong performances continued, including earning the highest performance rating in the V-League during Season 33 while scoring 11 goals. After the Electricians began dropping down the table, Adjei bolted to Colonial Sile for Season 35 in a high-profile transfer that resulted in 11 goals during Adjei's debut season in Sile. After spending two seasons in Sile, Adjei moved to Yeaddin to play for the Owls during Season 37

[ 48 ] Actalia Mermaioada [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 12 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.95 Average Rating ]
Mermaioada was a prospect of the Strike Academy, who also excels at water sports, a fact that some pundits have argued hampers his development on the pitch. While not even featuring on the bench for early World Cup 57 qualifying matches, Mermaioada finally made his competitive debut as a half-time substitute against Ipeland and would feature as a sub for three consecutive matches before the return of Kilpter to the lineup. Mermaioada looked to have broken into the lineup during the Cup of Harmony, scoring in Vilita's 5-3 opening match victory. However, the decision to attempt a cross-channel swim on the bye day in the middle of the competition put Mermaioada out of favor with the coaching staff once again. Mermaioada appeared to be completely off the radar before being snapped up from Non-League Surf Jettica by Strike for VLeague 30. After just one season coming off the bench in Lonngeylin, Mermaioada was snapped up by the Turoki Tide in what could be looked at as the transaction that changed the face of the Stellar Division. Mermaioada would lead the Tide to the Stellar Division title in just his second full season with the club and the accomplishments kept coming, with the UICA Globe Cup, UICA Champions Cup and UICA Super Cup to accompany the three Stellar Division titles the Tide won between seasons 32 and 35.

[ 44 ] Erocka Lorei [ - Kiiarana City - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 37 :: GOALS::SR: 19 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.24 Average Rating ]
The top attacking prospect at the Kiiara Academy, Erocka Lorei was expected to get quite a few chances to impress on the national stage during World Cup 57 Qualifying and did not dissapoint, leading the Vilitan team in goals scored with 5 in the competition despite only featuring in 11 out of 16 matches. Lorei claims to be a penalty kick specialist but has not been known for his aerial ability. Lorei signed professionally for Declasse side Liguon Valley during Season 26, but moved on to the Stellar Division during Season 27 with Makosile.

[ 49 ] Xcnaio Bansoa [ - Makosile - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 23 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.93 Average Rating ]
Bansoa was a training partner of Sirkii Moliaudo at the Coastal Academy, and many believed that Moliaudo's prowess in front of goal was due solely to his close partnership with Bansoa. After not being called to the line during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Bansoa decided it was time for a change, breaking ties with Moliaudo and Marine Coast United, signing for Arcticala Inlet in the Stellar Division. Bansoa featured frequently for the Jungle Cats during the World Cup 58 Campaign, performing well, but scoring no goals, relegating him from the top selection in the subsequent Cup of Harmony held in Vilita and New Montreal States.

[ 41 ] Nili Ylimaiina [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
