So I can see how some people just get attached to where they are.
Though he's going to be in San Diego, so I can completely understand why he'd want to stay.
As for me, I moved from SoCal to western New York. Even though there's been that whole culture shock thing (also, seriously, what is with the East Coast and booze laws?), it's been interesting. I still want to move back to Irvine when I'm done with grad school - because I get baseball, hockey, swing dancing, sunshine, and actual earthquakes that require earthquake engineering happen there - but after being in Minneapolis/St. Paul for a little bit, I don't think I would mind living there, either.
San Diego was my hometown. I live in Los Angeles now, and (earthquake possibilities aside), I absolutely adore it. When I was in Wisconsin, though, everyone would always talk about going to the Twins for fun, so I'd certainly check that out if given the chance.
The 4.5M earthquake this week somehow made headlines.
The person that wrote the story must be from out of state.
