Re China...I think he's also trying to see how far he can go...he's not really all that concerned about the US nor the ROK...The UN sanctions are just a part of the game he's getting used to playing...all focused on his power and his power base. Really what matters is how people like Jang Song Thaek react to the new leader...when he takes on the old guard for real...which he will do...eventually...
Apparently there have been rumours of economic reform in the North. Similar to China in the 80's.
Guess we can look forward to "Socialism with Korean Characteristics" as well then....

He got banned a few days ago after once again wishing death on The Tiger Kingdoms. But he is back with a new nation.

First of all, there's gotta be actual democracy. The regime must end. Everything else comes second.

No. China has always, ALWAYS, used buffer states. That policy is not going to change. It's the main reason it's lasted as a unified country for the last four thousand years.

And not a single one of those bi-monthly threads has produced anything substantial or meaningful. I understand that most analyses on North Korea will be based on a reasonable amount of speculation, but usually that speculation is derived from something grounded, like information, to name one. In these threads, anything that sounds remotely plausible, like "They're all totally insane" can be passed off as a thorough analysis.
