for example, obama only got religion when he went to go work with the black community on the southside. now, that may be a totally honest moment of finding black jesus, but it looks awfully expedient to me.

And you claim that HERE, there aren't as many Christians as it seems and they're not in the positions of privilege and power they seem? Horseshit.
America has a lot of Christians in it... but not, apparently, REAL Christians!
(I'd actually agree. I'm not sure there's been a Real Christian since about 30 AD)

I don't care if they're Real Christians or False Christians or I Can't Believe They're Not Christians, I just want them to quit trying to legislate Leviticus into my private life.

It's very amusing to see Americans telling me I live in a heavily Christian country, though. The religious demographics here are generally those of foreign origin.

So who are you to question that? You have no evidence one way or another, so why not take his word for it?

you won't have much success as a community organizer among urban african americans without ties to the community, which is strongly centered around the black churches. and somehow a kid that was raised without any particular religion just so happens to start attending and become a member of just such a church exactly when he is involved in just such a community organizer role.

And as you mentioned in your last post, there's another explanation entirely for it. One which is plausible and believable.
I thought the general etiquette was that without evidence, or a lack of convincing explanation, one didn't question another's faith?

The number of Christians who oppose homosexuality and use Leviticus as their justification would seem to suggest otherwise.

Another good choice would be Mammon, he seems to rule almost the complete known world secretly...great benefits will await you !
Depending on what you prefer for afterlife (severe lifelong worshipping required), Allah seems to offer some pretty good things (paradise filled with virgins, aso), while, if you´re more of the sensitive kind, the Christian God would be okay for you (eternal sitting on cloud seven while prancing, singing "glory, glory" or playing the harp and being stupid happy, and provides some cute pair of wings too).
You´re more the action-guy ? Well, then try those old-style pantheons, they´ve got lots of action there, including war, intrigues, orgies, love and extramarital adventures, pretty fine soap.
Hinduism is cool, as it provides you with endless experiences of being a grubworm maybe, or a NS-character, but it´s hard to memorize all those millions of different gods...
But wait - my friend here Mr. Lou Cypher is accidentally claiming to have some open position for devouted followers (never raped and sacrificed a virgin before ? oh, you will love it), he would offer great bargains too; just sign...
And there are many others too - well, that´s really a hard decision to make, especially when some of those gods are really possessive to a grade, so take my advice and stay as an Atheist, that´s much more easier...

If gays go to hell, what happens to people who are gay AND wear linen/cotton mix?

There's another thing that doesn't add up. If the ban on multifiber clothes, planting two crops in the same field, or eating clams and shrimp don't apply, why does 18:22?
