Name: Lord Victarion Darkwater, Leader of the Great Islands

Magic: He can manipulate water and wind, which is useful if you are a raider. He has a strong connection with his kraken.

Personality: He is an honorable man, and follows his own sort of creed. He is will never stick a knife between your back if he sees you as a ally, and will fight any who would try to harm his friends. He inspires loyalty in his troops. He is a seasoned raider and an excellent admiral.
Back Story:
House Darkwater was a joke. The Bannermam of the Great House in the North, it's domain was a cluster of mud huts dotting the various islands of the coast of the mainland. The coffers were empty, they had no army, and they had little hope of becoming renowned. However, a war changed that. In a war long forgotten, the leader of House Darkwater, Dagon Darkwater, saved the King's life during a great naval battle.

In return, the King rewarded Dagon with a fleet of his own, as well as the mineral rich Iron Islands. From there, it wasn't hard for Dagon to transform House Darkwater. He had his cousin, Ranog Darkwater, construct a new breed of warship. It had sails and oars, was fitted for long voyages, yet could sail up most rivers due to its low draw. Dagon convinced many of his people to inhabit the Iron Islands, where there was a reliable supply of celestial iron. Celestial iron is strong and light when worked into steel, good for armor and weapons. However, the real profit came from raiding merchant ships that wouldn’t pay the price of “protection”.

Thanks to the celestial steel and the warships, known as Ironships, House Greyjoy has become the leading naval power in the kingdom. They have a small cavalry force, small but sturdy mounts from the Iron Islands. They aren't afraid of drowning, and commonly wear armor when raiding. They are dangerous on foot, but lack a large force of archers. However, due to the importance placed to the sea, they are generally looked down upon. House Darkwater now has claims on almost every island in the Empire, save a few which have next to now strategic value.

Now that the king is dead, House Darkwater waits to see what the future holds. If possible, they will liberate the north, their ancient home.

OOC: Yes, I'm basing him and his house off of the Greyjoys in ASOFIAF. They are my favorite house. If you could include rivers and bays in your map, I'd appreciate it.

There are many different noble houses. Some with less power than others but noble still. Also you can have more than one character if you want. I'm already preparing an app for my second.

Back Story: Sebastian is the eldest son of Lord Delacroix. House Delacroix is a massive house encompassing most of the coastland. They have long been in a feudal war with House Darkwater for their constant attacks on the Delecroix merchant ships. Sebastian knows how powerful his house is and is loyal to his family but he feels that his father is too lenient on the pirates. Their ties with the Monarchy gives the Delacroix house leader a great chance to hold the throne. If only Sebastian could say speed along his fathers despise giving him the house and influence needed to have a right to the throne.

Back Story: House _______ orginally was an independant nation. They controlled the vast north after forcing the other houses to bend the knee. The only Houses to break free of the control of House _______ has been Houses Darkwater and Briggs, and the Thraargords. House Briggs staged a rebellion and won its freedom by controlling Hardreach Pass, the mountain pass that connects the north to the east. It no longer harbor much bitterness to the _______, but the_______ resent having to pay the Briggs tribute to venture through the pass. When the Empire expanded, the current _________, __________ bent his own knee to prevent his own lands from suffering.

Currently, House _______ has several bannerman, each ruling over their ancestral homes. Each House has a strong tie to the animal represented in their sigil, so it is not uncommon to see bears, direwolves, elk, or eagles accompaning the northmen. They have a strong advantage when it comes to surviving and fighting in the north. They have a strong army, with an emphasis on _______. They also have powerful strongholds, in exchange for a relatively weak navy.

I believe Elingarth is in the south east, and is a very well-defended fortress-city. It is under the rule of Kallor's family, and among other things, sports a famed mercenary company called the Grey Swords, a force of 7000 elite sellswords with religious connections, in the form of the two gods of war, who are also the Wolves of Winter, Togg and Fanderay, whom they are dedicated to serving, and they possess the ancient titles of Mortal Sword, Destriant, and Shield Anvil.

If the have a lot of farmland, I expect them to be more peaceful, with strong ties to the other house's due to your large food surplus. Or you could be warlike, with massive stores to feed your massive armies.

Environment: Cold (duh), Mountains that isolate them, Mysterioes "pole" with stong magic ties
Economy: Trade through ports, trade animals and weapons, various from region to region. Many minerals due to mountains
Political Environment: Very territorial and independent. They never liked being part of the Empire, and only stayed because of the strength of the King
Army: Nothing exceptionally large. They have a weak navy, but have a strong army and calvary

THE CENTRAL PLAINS

Environment: Steppe or prarrie.
Economy: Trade overland, trade animals especially cavelry, some farms along rivers.
Political Environment: Due it's close location, the Central Plains would likely stay nuetral onless one could convince them otherwise. They are likely to support the King in any rebellion.
Army: Nothing exceptionally large. They have no sea power save a few river barges, but have the strongest calvary in the land due to their background (I'm seeing them as Iriquios/Mongol/Temujai from Ranger's Apprentice

Since I'm playing the elvish rebels, plus I don' think anyone else is playing elves. So could they be in the West perhaps? Like Wood elves live in forests for example.

Borders- Ironback Mountains (Dwarves) and the Nordic Highland.

West

Arid, hot, flat

Borders- Valkarian desert

South

Forests, hilly

Borders- Nomadic Lowlands and South Villandria (They are independent ever since the last revolution)

East

Coastal, flat

Borders- Orion Empire

Central
Flat, many rivers and lakes, contains the capitol city Villand

Note- the Wood Elven homeland is below South Villandria.

Main Islands- Jammacka (to the west), the Valdara Archipelago (to the east), Mahara (High Elven homeland to the south of the wood elf homeland), and finally Rivaine (to the south) which is known for it's hostility to those without magical powers.

Note- Any other islands can be made as the RP progresses.

Once I choose the best map we will begin.

Also the revolution isn't for elven equality. It's for a republic. Currently we have a monarchy and people don't like that. Grant it yes the elves are a large part of the revolution but they aren't the ones who started it.
