Yeah, but.
But.
It's not a SUSAT.
And there, ladies and gentlemen, I think we have the answer.
"What do you propose?"
It's simple: the US uses the SUSAT.

So, if you get hit by an EMP, bad news: you just got nuked.
Edit: Or a nuke got set off in orbit/high above your country.

OR a nuke was set off five miles above your head. Fallout? Yes. EMP? Yes. Total destruction? No.

I can't find the article right now, but the Russians did develop some RPG level EMP weapons, and there are papers on using EPFCGs to power microwave emitters designed to fry electronics.

Actually there would be virtually no fallout from a detonation 5 miles above the surface.
The bomb components would generate a small amount of extremely hot isotopes, but the particles would be very small and have a short half-life meaning that they are harmless by the time they reach the ground.
Anyone standing directly beneath the fireball would turn bald instantly from the heat waves though.

I'm getting a SUSAT if they let me :v
Or I'll just suck it up, exersize by British citizenship and move to Britland and join them. I'd still want to try and be a tanker since Challenger 2 and L22 Carbine.

Good luck with that since msot SUSATs are now very much end of life andthere is the minor issue of them not being comaptible with any moutnign system other than that nice NATO standard sight rail that only ever appeared on the SA80 family and the AK-5.
its all about the Elcan Spectre now:
Despite the breif fling with ACOGs (which only the the L129s get now).
