Without religion, men and women would enjoy complete equality, gay marriage would be legal, there would be abortion rights, and we wouldn't have religious nuts continuously blocking any and all scientific research because it's "immoral".
Also, we would all have private space shuttles, and vacation homes on terraformed Mars.
And I assume you can prove this because you have irrefutable fact that Religion hindered the growth of humanity.... and by Religion... follow me... I don't just mean the Catholic church *gasp*

TL:DR Without religion, people wouldn't act like people.
Sure bro, people have alot more things to hate eachother for than religion.
Hitler didn't need religion and he still made a restrictive hell-hole.
Yes, I used Hitler, it was bound to happen.

I have the evidence.
As you said.
That someone has alzheimers does not prevent them from having a healthy heart, to my knowledge. To claim that the heart is healthy as a result of alzheimers would be dubious.
Just like claiming charity works and such are the result of an unjustifiable belief in the supernatural is dubious.

The belief in the supernatural is anti-thetical to the scientific approach, and to human solidarity.

One is fact.... the other is slightly less of a fact.

ADDITIONALLY ADDED
If you cannot demonstrate anything positive about the fundamental premise of theism, then on what basis do you differentiate it from your examples?

You could have used Mao, he didn't need religion to kill off more people than Hitler.

You used the word you.... as in referencing me... if anything I say you will twist towards the negative than why even try?
Odds are you've probably heard most things before.

I assume you have evidence of this fact then, because I havn't seen any that shows that religious belief spurs charitable acts in any way that is not accountable for by other factors.
You never said anything about religious beliefs spurring charitable acts... you just said charity may not work
Also I have... but then again... you'd claim it allegory.

You mean am I going to pick up what you say, analzye it for incoherency or inconsistency, then point this out to you?
Yeh.
That's pretty much how Atheism is done.
