Darkstar, Hyperspace

After a little while, Dandon arrived to negotiate the payment. It went as expected; all the pilot did was check the amount of the credits and scan over the Galactic map. He seemed particularly interested in the map, since Drogat had mentioned something along the lines of it being worth 2000 credits to the right buyer. Though this was not a lie, finding the right buyer for such an item in this part of the Galaxy was near impossible. But Drogat viewed that information as unnecessary to divulge.

Since the Ryn knew he was not wanted in the cockpit, he sat alone in the galley for quite some time until Dandon came on the intercom and announced that they would be leaving hyperspace in a little bit. Drogat decided that it was best to head to the cockpit now, since they would be docking shortly. As he made his way to the pilots, he could hear chatter coming from the cockpit. However, as Drogat arrived there, it was completely silent. After a little while, Dandon began to speak.

Dandon: Sit down in that chair, we’ll be exiting shortly.

Drogat looked to his side and saw the seat. It was slightly falling apart, like the rest of the ship, but it will do. He sat down silently and waited for them to exit hyperspace.

Dandon: Okay, here we go.

The pilot messed with the controls and the Darkstar quickly came out of hyperspace. However, to everyone’s surprise, the space over Bastion was not only polluted with the Empire’s ships, but it seemed like the entire fleet was present. Everyone in the cockpit just stared out of the cockpit at the massive Star Destroyers.

Drogat: . . . In hindsight, your payment may not have been adequate . . .

Hangar Z-11

Ausdi heard the begging far below and slowly lowered both of his DE-10 blasters, "A cease fire? Right after the fun was starting to come along." said Ausdi as he lowered the energy output of his JT-12 jetpack which slowly began to bring him down. As he reached the cold steel floor of hangar Z-11, Ausdi spun his left DE-10 blaster back into its holster before raising his other DE-10 blaster into the face of the imperial officer. "It would have been more fun to scorch your head with my blaster but all things have to come to an end." stated Ausdi as he pressed the blaster against the officers head before spinning it back into his holster, after the whole debacle, the crew of the Ablaze sat on the boarding ramp and awaited orders from their leader.

"Lets get a move on." said Ausdi as he patted the officer on the shoulder before crossing his arms and awaiting the movement of the imperial officer. As the Ausdi and the imperial officer were still inside the hangar, the crew of the Ablaze returned back into the confines of their freighter and began to run a maintenance check.

Hangar Z-11

"Yes-yes of course Sir" the Lieutenant said as he turned on the spot. "Right this way" he said and motioned towards an elevator. Walking in alongside with the bounty hunter, the young Lieutenant couldn't help but admire the combat skills of the Mandalorian and thank whatever higher powers had kept him alive. After the elevator had reached it's top level, the two walked for a few minutes towards the next elevator in complete silence. When they reached the next elevater, they rode it right to the top and stepped out a rather big room with four doors. The door on the left facing the back of the bridge was Niphilliak's personal quaters, whose doors were remarkably thicker. The one in front of them led to the higher ranking officers' quaters, and the one on the right, the bridge itself.

"If you would please enter here, Colonel Sarnech will be waiting for you.." the Lieutenant said and watched the Mandalorian's every move.

Licom slowly fell back, defence weakening as Niphilliak deflected strike after strike. it's lack of force-sensitivity starting to show more clearly as he began incorporating more style 5 elements to avoid the many counter-strikes. Slowly it's defence was pressed closer to it's limbs until one of niphilliak's counters hit home, severing the power cables of it's right arm and disarming the droid. in a last bid, it tried to push the red lightsaber out of her hands with a concentrated repulsor push.

Govermental sovereignty: protectorate of the 44th independant legion; large independant but ceding to them for interstellar politics and trade
Military power: on an FT schale next to nothing, since our total number of starships is for now 0.

"Colonel Sarnech? Sounds like a man not to be trifled with." stated Ausdi as he removed his helmet helmet and slowly ran his fingers through his hair, he usually showed his face to high ranking people or potential employers. With his helmet off, Ausdi stepped through the doors to the right of him and admired the Colonel's bridge. "Colonel Sarnech, wasn't it?" Ausdi said aloud as he placed his helmet underneath his arm and rested one of his right hands on his right DE-10 blaster pistol, "I heard you wanted to speak with me." said Ausdi as he gave a slight grin before waiting for the Colonel's response.

Licom's attack came as no surprise to Niphilliak, and she resisted the repulsor-powered push with all of her strenght, only barely holding onto her Lightsaber. "I wonder if your defence protocols can be upgraded. Between the two of us, you're getting a bit repetetive. Session ever, get yourself patched up." she said and put away her Lightsaber. She turned on her communicator again and prepared to leave.

Acclamator's bridge
Colonel Sarnech waited on the bridge impatiently as Ausdi arrived. "Ah, you must be the bounty hunter poor boy spoke of." Sarnech started and walked towards the Mandalorian. "You're a wanted criminal, do you realize that?" he said, clutching his hidden Q2 hold-out blaster. But before either had any chance to say any more, Lady Niphilliak entered the bridge.

"Sarnech, who is this man?" she demanded to know.

Acclamator's bridge

"The names Ausdi Cahel, a pleasure to meet you." said Ausdi as he gave a slight bow towards Darth Niphilliak before looking at Colonel Sarnech's blaster, "That's cute, it comes in your size." stated Ausdi as he returned his gaze back to Darth Niphilliak. "I'm here because my pilot came out of hyperspace to late and we almost hit your ship, you used your tractor beam on us." said Ausdi as he gave Sarnech a glare before looking back towards Darth Niphilliak, "A platoon tried to take me and my men, sadly they didn't make it." finished Ausdi as tightened his grip on his helmet before awaiting the answer of the Sith Lord.

Acclamator's bridge

"You're a bit too cocky for your own good," Niphilliak said and squinted. "And yet - I think I may have some use of you.." she continued and walked past both men, to the very end of the bridge and stared out the window and waved the Mandalorian over. "I need you to retrieve something for me." she started and put a hand to her chin. "It is a valuable artifact that has been lost for centuries. To a collecter, it is worth a few thousand credits, but to me, it is priceless." she said and turned to face the Mandalorian. "You must travel to Korriban, to the ancient and now ruined city of Dreshdae. From there, you must find the tomb of Ghul-Ras, a Sith Lord of the ancient times. Deepest in his tomb is an ancient holocron. Bring this to me, and I will reward you-" she said and stopped. "Well, we'll see about that. I'd do it myself, but my master has summoned me, and I can't delay that just to go on a treasure hunt." she finished.

Acclamator's bridge

"Korriban? I've heard of this place, the ancient of home world of the Sith." replied Ausdi as he looked out into the stars and thought about the proposition, "Hmmm.....retrieve a Sith holocron." Ausdi softly whispered to himself as he looked at his helmet before sliding it on. "You got yourself a deal. When I do retrieve it, where would I be able to find you?" asked Ausdi as his helmet began to his air, meaning that his helmet had become pressurized with the rest of his armor. "I do not fail my employers, you will have this holocron." stated Ausdi as he gave a nod to Darth Niphilliak before looking at the commlink on his forearm, the commlink glowed with multiple buttons which Ausdi quickly pressed before returning his arm back to his side. "Is there anything else I need to know before I depart?" asked Ausdi as he looked out towards the stars again.

Acclamator's Bridge

Niphilliak thought for a moment, then spoke: "You will meet me in Sidi Driss Inn, in Anchorhead, Tatooine, in exactly a twelve hours from now. If you are not there on time, I will presume you are dead. If you don't have the holocron, you'd be wise not to turn up at all." she said and looked back to the stars. "That is all. Now go before I order you shot. I believe I saw your face on a poster once.." she finished and put her hands on her hips, waiting for the bounty hunter to leave before she could do so herself. Why her master had summoned her, she could only guess, but it had been almost a year since the last time, and he was bound to have important news for her.

Acclamator's Bridge

"It will be done, Darth Niphilliak." replied Ausdi as he gave a slight bow towards Niphilliak before walking over to the doors that he had entered from, as he left the bridge and took the elevator down he was glad he got another job. The elevator ride was a short quiet one he didn't anticipate for thins with the imperials to go that smoothly, but that through was out of his mind now as he was going to get paid if he brought this Sith Holocron back. After another elevator ride down, Ausdi was now back at Hangar Z-11, the thought of being back on his ship was as comforting as some rat hole of a cantina on Tatooine.

As he neared his ship the Ablaze he noticed the dead stormtroopers had been moved but some of there had been left behind, "Hmmm...Interesting." Ausdi whispered to himself as he ran up the boarding ramp of his ship before closing it behind him. "Prepare to depart. I want to be out of here in under a minute!" ordered Ausdi as he watched his pilot run off towards the cockpit and start to power up the ship, as the pilot was busy fiddling with his instruments, Ausdi was on the navigation panel and was bring up the galactic map. "Where we headed?" asked the pilot as he guided the Ablaze out of the hangar and into the blackness of space, "We're headed for Korriban. Darth Niphilliak gave us a mission to recover a Sith Holocron." replied Ausdi as he locked in the coordinates of Korriban, the pilot gave a quick nod before hitting the switch.

the freighter lurched backwards the launched forwards into hyperspace, Ausdi watched the stars change into long lines and blue tube form around them. "Ausdi, we should be there in a little while." stated the pilot as he looked over the energy output and the multiple controls on the dashboard of the ship, "Good, I'll be resting in my quarters wake me when we arrive at Korriban." said Ausdi as he slid of his helmet and made his way over to his cabin where he quickly fell onto the bed.

Niphilliak stood on the bridge of the Acclamator for a few minutes after the Mandalorian had left, just thinking. Thinking up an excuse as to why she'd spent an entire day before seeing her master. But the retrieval of the holocron was more important to her than whatever her master had to tell her. "I'm sick? Nah, he won't believe it.. I got stuck in a battle with the Alliance? No, that won't do either. I guess I'll make up something.." Niphilliak thought to herself as she turned around and left. Walking towards one of the Acclamator's many hangars, she wondered what her master's penalty would be. If she were extremely lucky, there wouldn't be any. But it was unlikely.

Rather close the bridge was Niphilliak's personal hangar. Inside were several experimental and otherwise unique spaceships. She walked towards her heavily modified TIE Phantom, which despite it's age was a very dangerous ship. Equipped with a strong shield-generator, cloaking device, hyperdrive, four laser cannons and a ion cannon, this TIE was amongst the most dangerous in the galaxy. She had soon set course on Tatooine, where she would hide hide until the Holocron had been recovered.

In orbit over Korriban

Ausdi felt a slight shaking on his arm then a rather forceful shaking," Who's there!"Ausdi shouted as he pulled out one of his DE-10 blasters and pointed it at one of his crew members, "Sorry sir, but we arrived at Korriban." replied the crew member as he got his breath and left the captains quarters. With a sigh, Ausdi sat on the edge of his bed before grabbing his helmet and walking over to the cockpit, "Can you find the coordinates of a city called Dreshade?" asked Ausdi as he slid on his helmet and sat in one of the cockpit seats. "Yes sir, it shouldn't be hard to find." replied the pilot as he brought up a navigation screen and quickly found the city of Dreshade, "Good, land us on the outskirts of the city." ordered Ausdi as he left the cockpit and headed over to the engineering room where his 74-Z speeder bike awaited him.

The descent down towards the outskirt of Dreshade was a bumpy one at most but not a dangerous one, well until they finally touched down on the planets. While prepping his 74-Z speeder bike, Ausdi heard a loud thud and gave mild sigh before opening the loading ramp of the ship. Dry dirt covered the barren planet, Ausdi had never seen a more depressing planet, but his mission wasn't to enjoy the view his mission was to recover the Sith Holocron. Ausdi with an ambitious intention of collecting the holocron quickly revved up his speed bike and took off down the loading ramp towards Dreshade, the dry dirt shot up towards his face but his helmet and armor protected him from the most dangerous elements of any planets. He was prepared.

Drogat Mezfer

Postby Junkyland » Tue Jan 01, 2013 4:11 pm

Darkstar, Space Over Bastion

The cockpit of the Darkstar was in a panic as the pilots tried to decide what their next move was. With the immediate space over Bastion being monitored, there was no way their ship could navigate past them without being noticed. Also, since this ship was wanted by the Empire, they could be identified and sentenced to immediate execution. However, throughout this entire dilemma, Drogat stayed sane and decided to study his surroundings. The pilot’s words were rushed and you could tell he was in a panic.

Dandon: This isn’t good, this isn’t good at all. Zanch, prepare for an immediate turn around. Get the coordinates set and let’s head right back to Bescane; it’s the closet world. Now hurry!

Once Dandon was finished with these words, a ship came out of the hanger bay of the largest Star Destroyer. At first, Drogat believed this to be a fighter sent out to take care of the Darkstar. But then, he realized it was not one of the Empire’s fighters. By the looks of it, Drogat believed it to be of the YV-100 class, but nothing could be certain at the moment.

Drogat: Wait! Identify the name of that vessel. The one right over there . . .

The Ryn then pointed at the ship as it began to get even farther away from the Star Destroyer.

Dandon: We don’t have time; we need to get out of here now!

Quickly, and without discussing it with the pilots, Drogat got up from his seat and went over to the side controls of the cockpit. Since he was somewhat familiar with the design of the YT-2400, he knew were to access the necessary instruments to scan the vessel before it made its leap into hyperspace. Within only a couple of seconds, Drogat was able to identify the freighter as the Ablaze. Though he did not know the ship or its crew personally, he was aware of it and knew it was operated by a bounty hunter crew.

Drogat: . . . We’re running out of time . . .

Dandon: Damn right we are! Now hurry up with those coordinates Zanch!

One could tell that the human was beginning to panic even more, since he began to yell.

Drogat: No, no. Quick, try to hack into that vessel and discover its hyperspace coordinates.

Dandon: What? We need to get out of here!

Drogat was beginning to become fed up with this incompetent pilot. He went back to the controls he was at before and attempted to hack into the ship himself. Unfortunately, the Ablaze entered hyperspace, leaving Drogat’s attempt useless.

Dandon: Okay, get ready, here we go!

The Darkstar lurched forward for a moment, but nothing happened. The attempt to head into hyperspace failed, most likely due to the fact that the ship was not up to code. The Darkstar was at the mercy of the Empire now.

Korriban
A few klicks away from the YT-2400 Ablaze

The descent of the freighter had not gone as unobserved as the Mandalorians thought. From a distance away, her Lone Scout partially concealed nearby under a rock overhang, a Chiss in red armor watched the ship sink out of view near the city ruins, with great interest. She lowered her macrobinoculars from her eyes and returned them to her belt. Glancing back at her ship, Dzrae'iss'enauro shook her head. It wasn't worth the risk, flying such a short distance. She'd have to hike. Luckily, she was closer to the city than the other ship was; and she had the Force to speed her movement. Eisse set off towards Dreshade's crumbling walls, springing across the landscape with harelike agility. Her self-supplied mission would have to wait in favor of interrogating these spacers.

A few minutes later, the Imperial Knight-errant skidded smoothly to a halt on the immediate fringe of the sandswept buildings which had once composed a city. More like a den of evil, really, but a city nonetheless. She crept into the city, listening to the sound of an approaching speederbike. Sounded like only one, but it was difficult to be sure. Eisse made her way towards the sound, ensuring that she remained hidden. The sense of desolation was absolute; this was a place that had been abandoned rapidly. She wondered in the back of her mind what had happened to depopulate the place.

Mos Eisley, Tatooine

Valen sat alone in a table on the far side of a cantina. He sipped some thick, green drink, and eyeballed his surroundings. He counted the arms on the other patrons. Two pistols on that weeqay, a knife and shatter gun on the other. Vexa flechette pistol on that surulik, bowcaster on that wookiee, bolt rifle on the other human, and a sonic pistol on the aqualish. That mando is armed to the teeth, and that trandoshan is toting an E11mp Modified.
There is only one person in the galaxy who would take an Imperial rifle and make a machine pistol out of it.
O'orisk Tatang.

The dark gray Trandoshan then joined Valen at the table, and ordered a small drink.
"Whatcha doin there, Tanny?"
"Pointing my Westar-36 at your balls. Now may I ask what your doing?"
"Whoa, there! No need to get all aggressive with me. I just wanted to talk."
"Well you can start by explaining how you found me."
"Ahh, well I wasn't looking for you personally, just any member of the old crew."
"Well most the old crew is dead, thanks to to accursed Hutts trying to rip people off."
"I remember it all, but I didn't come here to discuss days past. I came here to offer a proposition."
"Really? Do tell."
"Why don't you take your blaster away from my breeders."
"Why don't you tell me what it is, and I will decide if it's worth me pointing my pistol elsewhere."
"Fine. All you Bornesian Tannies are more paranoid than gungans are stupid. I like Corellian humans better."
"Well isn't it funny you have killed most the Corellians you have met, but you haven't landed a shot on me?"
"Bah. Paranoid is a paranoid does. Now, a smuggling vessel went down on Korriban two months ago. Nobody has come to its aid. However, there are certain items aboard that vessel that should belong to yours truly. Go there, get the goods, and kill any survivors. Come back, and I give you 65,000 credits."
"And what will I be retrieving?"
"I will tell you later. But you must get to Korriban first."
"Fine. But I want 20,000 up front."
"So you can run off and take my money?"
"I could shoot your balls off for free, and then go find the ship for myself."
"Fine! You can have the 20,000 up front. Do we have a deal?"
"Yeah. We got a deal mate. We got a deal."

Korriban, Dreshade

As Ausdi got closer and closer to the city of Dreshade he could see the crumbling walls come into view along with a few buildings. With the distance getting shorter, Ausdi let off on his speed and began to pull on the braking system and swerve between piles of debris. After passing most of the debris, Ausdi brought his speeder bike to a complete stop near the center of the city, it was a more than some ancient town, it was a tomb. While sitting on his speeder bike, Ausdi dug through his saddle bag and pulled out a portable scanner and began to scan the city. As the scanner continued the process, Ausdi dismounted and turned off his speeder bike before switching his HUD to thermal vision to search for any life forms. The planet was barren and hardly any life was on this planet, it amazed Ausdi that people would have actually lived her but people always found some way to live. As Ausdi was about to step into an abandon building he heard the scanner go off, "Someones here? How can that be, this place was scanned multiple times." Ausdi said in a shocked voice as he pulled out one of his DE-10 blasters and began to scan the area of the life form.

Darkstar, Space Over Bastion

The Darkstar drifted through space after the failed hyperspace jump. All three of the creatures inside of the cockpit scanned over the controls to see what could have possibly gone wrong.

Dandon: Zanch, what the hell went wrong?

Drogat observed the Zabrak pilot since he was eager to finally hear him speak. He had a very low, raspy voice that could make some creatures feel very uneasy.

Zanch: The coordinates were not flawed, Captain. I believe that stabilizer from the engine room may have came apart like I warned.

Dandon: Well then go fix it!

Zanch: But Captain, I cannot. Kranu was the one who knew how to deal with the hyperspace machinery.

Dandon momentarily put his face into his palms to contemplate their next move. After a short time, he went back to fiddling around with the controls.

Dandon: Okay, okay. Maybe we can reroute the power through the main engine drive. That will work, right?

The copilot just continued with the controls without saying a word. Sensing that the crew was not sure on how to get out of this jam, Drogat decided it was up to him to fix the stabilizer. So, without attracting any attention, he slowly left the cockpit and made his way down the corridor to the engine room. Once there, Drogat went directly to the stabilizer and studied the problem. Just as he expected, it was covered in rust and was corroding on the top. The Ryn took a deep breath to slow his mind down and went to work.

After several quick minutes, Drogat was able to successfully fix the stabilizer and have the power head through the non-corroded power channels. It was only a quick fix, but it would be enough for the Darkstar to enter and exit hyperspace. Back in the cockpit, a small green light in front of the copilot’s controls came on.

Zanch: Wait, the stabilizer has been fixed. Captain, I’ll be able to send us into hyperspace in a few seconds.

Dandon: But how . . .

The human pilot looked back behind him and noticed how Drogat was nowhere to be found. He smiled a little and turned back to his controls. As the Darkstar lurched forward, Dandon yelled out loud in relief. Several seconds after the ship entered hyperspace, Drogat walked into the cockpit with his walking stick. He calmly sat down in the third seat and looked at the crew.

Dandon: I’m not sure how you did it, but thank you. Damn, we sure were lucky the Empire didn’t notice us.

Drogat: One Star Destroyer has the ability to sense nearby ships that were over twice the distant we were from it. Trust me, Captain, they let us go.

Drogat smiled to himself as he reached his hand into his pocket and touched his amulet. The need to go to Bastion was no longer present, since he accomplished all he wanted to do. It was time for the next stop on his journey.

Revenge, Above Bastion

Bogan waited silently in his personal observation deck. "My lord, she has arrived." Spoke a voice through Bogan's comm link. He stood and faced out the window, looking out at Imperial Warships orbiting Bastion, the grand city-planet, and the darkness of space in the backdrop. The door opened and a middle aged woman stepped in. He corners of her lips pointed downward, and crows feet grew from her eyes. Her jet black hair was tied back, and hung just below her shoulders. She wore a cold demeanor upon her face, and looked forward, never making eye contact with the Sith Lord as he turned to face her. He motioned for her to step forward, and as she arrived before him, she bowed, "My Lord." Darth Bogan wasted no time in getting to their business. "I was told by your superiors that you have information that might be of value to me." The woman nodded her head and presented to Lord Bogan a hologram. He looked it over and what he saw did indeed catch his attention. He raised his gaze from the hologram to the woman. "You know what this is?" Still staring forward, the woman nodded and answered, "Yes, my lord. That is a holocron. Who's holocron, I can't say. But, about a month or so ago, there was a lot of chatter popping up about this holocron throughout Alliance channels. Not much is known about this holocron, but it seems the Alliance wants to get their hands on it." Bogan nodded and once more looked at the hologram. "Well, we can't have that now, can we? It was wise of your superiors to send you to me. I want you to gather as much information as you can on this holocron, and keep your ears open for any word about this. Oh, and from now on, you report directly to me. Is that understood?" The woman nodded. "If you are to serve me directly, then you must leave your old life behind. You will need a new identity. As far as any Imperial you've ever know is concerned, you are now deceased. Are you sure you're ready for this?" For the first time since their meeting began, she made eye contact, "My lord, I was born and raised to be an agent of this Empire. Serving the Empire has always been and always will be my life. I'm ready for whatever you have to give me." Bogan was pleased with her loyalty, though he wouldn't let it show. "You do not serve this Empire any longer. You serve me. You take orders from no one except for me." She once more nodded in acceptance. Bogan was done with her for now, and sent her away.
Now he was waiting for his apprentice to arrive, and he was getting impatient. He hoped that she would arrive within minutes of his previous guest's departure. Bogan focused on their connection, and discovered she had left the system. He could barely contain his rage. Despite him commanding her to come before him, she had still dismissed him. Since Bogan had come to power, he had known no such disrespect. When next he saw Niphiliak, there would be hell to pay.

The Revenge, docking bay Z-5
Licom powered down the engines to his light freighter, having returned there shortly after it's lady had left the Acclamator, and flown it to the Revenge. Though the dock officer in charge was stupid enough to have a platoon of stormtroopers be stationed outside the unnamed gladius class transmitting a proper imperial docking code, he was smart enough to recognize when something should be bounced up the command chain. And when a figure openly wearing a lightsaber over it's black robe can give you all the proper security codes you can ask for, that is such a time. So a few minutes later a small icon flashed unintrusively on Darth Bogan's comlink, stating that one Licom had given the nessesary codes and insisted on requesting to see him.

Curious and industrious, PMT sharks in an FT setting.
factbook is WiP. but a basic overview of our species is below:
population (remaining, estimated) 6000
State religion: not enforced but every member of the species follows the Cult of Pas Mathéma in some fashion.
Goverment type: Council of 5 heading a technocratic fuedalist society
Govermental sovereignty: protectorate of the 44th independant legion; large independant but ceding to them for interstellar politics and trade
Military power: on an FT schale next to nothing, since our total number of starships is for now 0.

Carch, friendly anthro blue shark. got any kalamari?

Mos Eisley, Tatooine

"Aw, fuck this." Jennsen muttered in disgust. "We've been looking for hours, Dell."

"Which means we must be close to finding him." He replied.

"Let's review what's happened. We got to his apartment, he's not there anymore. Checked out less than an hour ago. We have since searched every place within a few square kilometers where he could conceivably be hiding. It's been how long? Six or seven hours? What about that makes you think he's even on the planet, lets alone hanging around here." Jennsen waved her hand in the direction of the dingy alleyway that Dell was watching.

"If you won't have faith, at least practice patience."

"Dell, I'm hot, I'm tired, and I have sand in places I didn't even know existed. Patience isn't exactly at the top of my priorities right now."

"Well then, you're in luck, because here he is."

Jennsen's head snapped around, following Dell's line of sight. She caught a glimpse through the alley, walking in the street opposite, the Quarren called Tik Vokil. The Quarren was flanked by two pairs of Rodian guards, all armed with E-11 blaster rifles, all looking around the street with unusual intensity. Jennsen was about to ask Dell how he had known Vokil would be passing by where they were standing, at that exact moment, but never got the chance. The second Vokil and his guards had passed out of sight, Dell moved to follow, Jennsen following quickly on his heels. Jennsen and Dell followed the Quarren and his guards for a short while, until the Quarren ducked into a small, dilapidated building with two of his guards. One pair took up position on either side, not-so-subtly hefting their rifles when someone drew too close. Dell waited, turning his armoured head towards Jennsen.

The young woman shrugged at him. "This is your area of expertise, Dell. Go to town with it." Dell nodded at her.

The man wasted no time, Jennsen observed, breaking cover from where they had been observing the Rodian guards, and heading straight for them. While Dell didn't raise his own weapon, he did make a point of checking it over as he walked. The Rodian guards, upon seeing him, started chattering at each other rapidly, yelling into the small building that Vokil was hiding in, before brandishing their weapons at Dell and Jennsen, making a show of exaggerated bravado. Dell was almost within striking range of the pair, when one of them finally aimed their weapon at him. He wasted no time in blowing a fist-sized hole in the chests of both guards. Jennsen waited outside while Dell entered the building, leaning against the dirty wall in a nonchalant manner. Shortly after a few more blaster shots, and some muffled yelling, Dell reappeared, dragging a decidedly disgruntled Tik Vokil by the scruff of his robes. The big mercenary threw Vokil down at Jennsen's feet.

"So," Jennsen drawled as she crouched down in front of Vokil's face, "Tik Vokil. What a pleasant surprise meeting you here." Jennsen made a point of pulling out her blaster pistol, waving it around with dramatic carelessness. "You know, I think you still owe me some money for the job I pulled for you. You know, the one that I finished earlier today. The one where you only gave me half of what we agreed upon." Jennsen leaned in close, dropping her voice dangerously, "I am not in a good mood, Vokil. I want my money."

The Quarren tried to spit in her face, though he only succeeded in dribbling saliva down his head tentacles.

"You just killed my guards! Do you really expect me to pay you now?" Every word dripped acid.

Jennsen gave a lilting laugh. "Why, yes, Vokil. Yes I do. Whether you want to or not." Before Tik could respond, Jennsen smashed her blaster pistol into the side of his head. The Quarren went limp, as he fell into unconsciousness. She wasted no time rummaging through his pockets, coming up with a pair of credit chips. One for the missing five-thousand he owed her, another for two-thousand. Jennsen pocketed both. As she and Dell walked away, leaving the Quarren lying in the dirt, the latter spoke.

"He only owed us five-thousand, you know."

"Yeah, I know." Jennsen shrugged, "But he's going to hate me after this, regardless. I figure he should at least have a legitimate reason to. Besides, he owes me a little something extra for all this walking around we've done today. Now, come on. I want to try and leave before they shut down our docking bay for the day. Tell Marilee we're on our way back."

As Niphilliak's TIE approached for a landing in Anchorhead, it started spewing out smoke. The 80 year old hyperdrive was worn out, and it had ignited itself from the sheer heat it produced when she had escaped hyperspace. Now, it had spread to the Ion-engines themselves. The TIE soon started spinning uncontrolably towards the ground. Niphilliak opened hatch in the starfighter's belly and looked down. Guessing the height of the drop to be twenty meters or so once the fighter finally levelled itself again, she waited until it had gone a tad lower and jumped out, aiming for a canopy on a nearby house. The TIE flew on without her, crashing into a marketsquare where citizens of all races were screaming as they ran away. As the TIE crashed, the top wing broke clean off as the others were burried in the sand.

Niphilliak hit the canopy but broke straight through the thin fabric and landed on the hot sand. She let out a slight moan as she lifted her head, but pain made her lie down straight again. A Rodian ran over to her, asking her in Rodese if she was alright. Normally, she would have understood it, but to her hurt heard, it was pure gibberish. She covered her face with a hand in agony as she used the other to thrusth him away with the force. She rolled onto her stomach and used both her hands to get on her feet. "Bloody deathtrap.." she moaned as she arose. She looked at the crashsite where a few Javas had started tampering with the TIE. She walked over there, slowly, almost dragging her right leg. Once within ten meters, she picked up one of the Javas using the force and tossed it into another one, shooting the last one with a bolt of force lightning.

As they all ran off, she walked closer to the TIE. Because of the hatch's position on the TIE's belly, she needed another means of entry. She brought out her Lightsaber and cut a big circular hole in the side of the TIE. She crawled in and took out a bag of civilian clothing, resembling that which the locals wore. A squadron of Stormtroopers arrived shortly after the crash. Most of them simply tried to calm down the nearby civilians whilst the squad leader neared the TIE. When Niphilliak looked out again, she was met by a very surprised Stormtrooper.

"Lady Niphilliak, what are you doing in Anchorhead?" he asked surprised as he took a step back. It wasn't everyday he met a Sith Lord in a place like Tatooine.

"What does it matter to you?" she replied as she crawled out. "See to it that this flying coffin isn't touched or tampered with by anyone until it had been recovered, trooper" she ordered as she walked past him. "Yes milady!" he replied, but she made no sign of hearing his response.

Niphilliak found an alley in which she could change from her fomerly Imperial Knight armor into civilian clothing. Still somewhat sore from her sudden crashlanding, her attention was elsewhere when she was suddenly surrounded by three Trandoshans.

"You will make a fine slave" one of them said. Niphilliak only wore her civilian clothing but had her Lightsaber attached to her belt, hidden below her cape.

"We'll see about that" she said and pulled out her Lightsaber, cutting one of the Trandoes in two pieces just below his shoulders, after which she gutted another. The third Trando ran, but was hit in the back by Niphilliak's Lightsaber when she threw it at him. She picked up the armor and walked over to the near-dead Trando that had tried to escape. "You don't enslave a Sith" she said as she took her Lightsaber out of his back and left him to die in the alley. She walked towards the TIE still guarded by the Stormtroopers and left the armor inside it.

"That bounty hunter had better get me that Holocron, or I'll bring his head back with me" she thought as she walked towards the inner parts of Anchorhead.

Drogat Mezfer

Darkstar, Hyperspace

As the Darkstar continued on its course through hyperspace, Drogat took this time to meditate on his next move. He decided to head to one of the cabins Dandon offered him earlier in their voyage. Once there, the Ryn sat down at one of the chairs and folded his hands. If what he saw was true, then it was too late to follow the same course of action as he had already planned. Their freighter was currently heading towards Bescane, which was nowhere near his next destination. Also, the Darkstar was in no condition to perform any other hyperspace jumps anytime soon. Drogat stroked his white beard as he took all of this in. If the bounty hunter who possessed the Ablaze was personally hired by the Empire for any reason, then it was safe to assume that they would complete their mission without failure. In hindsight, this may have been a blessing in disguise.

The Darkstar lurched forward momentarily as if left hyperspace. This action did not break Drogat’s concentration and he continued to think deeply about his predicament. After several moments, the door to his cabin opened. Drogat was expecting to see Dandon, since it was only logical that the captain should discuss the new terms of payment due to the fact they never reached Bastion, but to the old Ryn’s surprise, he saw Zanch standing in the doorway. During the brief moments that he had seen the copilot, the Zabrak was sitting down at the controls. However, as Drogat could tell now, Zanch was even taller than he had originally perceived. The two went without talking for a few seconds before Drogat smiled at Zanch.

Drogat: I was expecting to see your captain, did he send you here for the negotiations instead?

He just stood in the doorway and stared at the Ryn before speaking in his raspy voice.

Zanch: In the cockpit at Bastion, I recall hearing you say that we were running out of time. May I ask what we were running out of time for?

Drogat kept his smile as he studied the Zabrak more closely. This was the first time Zanch had spoken to him directly and now he could sense the determination in his voice.

Drogat: Well, we were running out of time to jump into hyperspace, I do believe.

Zanch: You said that the Star Destroyers knew we were there; we were never in any danger.

The Ryn smiled to himself now as he recalled his past dialogue in the cockpit. Zanch was correct with what he was saying, but it was still unlikely he would come to his cabin and ask about these specific words. Drogat stroked his white beard again and starred into the eyes of the Zabrak. Zanch stared right back at the Ryn with the same passion. The copilot knew and there was no more need to hide it.

The Mandolorian had evidently been spooked. Maybe he had some kind of sensor array in his helmet. In any case, thought Eisse, I need to take him down quickly if I want to have a chance at interrogating him. Why are they here, on this evil rock? What of value could they want... other than, perhaps, me? Did the Sith send them? Her thoughts raced along as the Chiss breathed, calming down. "Focus..." she murmured to herself. Eisse continued to sneak up on the bounty hunter, making her way down what had once been an alley. It provided adequate cover, despite the holes in the crumbling buildings. She drew her charric, and set it to EM incapacitation. This was no job for a lightsaber. Having reached a vantage point at the end of the lane, she took aim. The Mandolorian was standing perhaps ten meters away. It was at the far edge of her weapon's range, but she took aim regardless, and fired, the green bolt of EM energy screaming across the distance in a mere moment.

Ausdi heard the charric pistol go off, "There you are!" shouted Ausdi as he fired a couple rounds at the life form from his DE-10 blaster before getting hit in the chest by the green bolt of EM energy. The energy began to make Ausdi shake as it reached neurological patterns, Ausdi wasn't able to control his body as he fell backwards towards the dry sand ground. As he fell towards the ground his JT-12 jetpack activated and sent him flying towards a broken down building, Ausdi's limp body just hung there as he slammed into the crumbling building. His JT-12 jetpack gave another burst of energy before cutting off and leaving Ausdi's limp body on the ground. Debris was around him but he was out cold, his scanner was dropped near his speeder bike but his DE-10 blaster was still held tightly in his limp hand. Ausdi just laid there, he was knocked out cold from the EM energy and slamming into the crumbling building.
