Dear Nationstates,

I had promised making this big post highlighting ALL the things that have been accomplished both on the raider and defender side this year. However, I think instead I will try to utilize quality over quantity and allow each of you to subjectively take what as you will as you look back over the last year and continue looking in the future. On a personal level, 2012 was very important for me in NS. This was my first full year playing the game and my first full year leading raids. Although not everything I planned happened, I thought much was accomplished. I made a list of stuff that happened with TBH this year: viewtopic.php?p=12289583#p12289583

I cannot take much credit for all those things because so much help, support, and leadership was given from people within TBH and from outside of the organization. Also, many achievements were made by other groups as well including TNI taking Belgium, The Rejected Realms, and Scotland just to same some. TBR also done a lot on the tagging side and took South America among others. That battle for Christmas was interesting as well. Just were just the highlights.

This was also the first full year that the UDL was around. Whether good or bad, it cannot be argued that UDL has had a strong influence on many aspects of the game. I feel a close connection to UDL because it came to be around the time I was coming back to this game and raiding in 2011. Also, this bet has forever linked myself to Uni. Our mutual dislike for each other pushed both of us to try harder. Nothing made us happier when one beat out the other. Remember when UDL liberated ITALIA from me? I have never seen Uni more excited about liberating a region

I made this bet to keep people accountable and try to make what we did here matter more. It is easy to accomplish things under the radar, but much harder when you're put in the spotlight. Whether or not you agree with me, I think that my goals of this was realized. Now we look to the future. Personally I thought that TITO had a good year even though they get hated on often Also, I thought that FRA made huge strides and have shown that they are still relevant within defending. Other defending groups have also showed their might as well. I won't say much about UDL since Uni isn't around right now to defend them. Get it? You either love or hate UDL. Are they improving or getting worse? It's tough to say. But I do that if Uni is around, UDL will not be going away anytime soon.

Regardless, I will close with this. Nationstates is a game. We are here to have fun and entertain. So let's make everyone entertained. Do things that have never been done. Don't settle for less. I know for as I long as I'm active and kicking, I will try to bring you all a show. Until next time
