A stalker looks like a blimp with legs, I'm going to let you guess what the first design is because there are a lot of similar ones; unless you go active your sensors will tell you then.
This is true, and the armor is about as thick as blimp's too.

That being said though, good luck if you're a suicidal Urbanmech pilot.... god that was a fun mission in MW2 Mercs.

And come on, can I at lesat have a hint? Tonnage maybe?

Wait...it's a Dervish isn't it?

Like I said, likely candidate is a Dervish. Walter got nailed with twin LRM 10s, medium mech, plus the description you gave means it's gotta be that.

Can't be a whitworth, spindly arms.

And it can't be an Apollo...because well the spider-sense says it's not. :D

Name: William McGinus
Call Sign: Warhound
Age: 29
Specialty: 'Mechwarrior
Description or Photograph:
Image

Biographical Information:
William was born on a planet called Decica in what would later become the Federated Commonwealth on July 29th 3038. His mother died in child birth and his father was an IndustrialMech pilot at one of the local mines. William often spent his days on his father's lap in the cockpit of the massive machine. He was twelve years old when the Clan's invaded his home planet. It happened slowly to begin with: William's town was raided and instead of running and hiding with the other children he stowed away in his father's industrialMech as it was being jury rigged with a pair of small lasers and machine guns in order to help the local militia fend off the then unknown attackers. Unwilling to get out of the 'Mech and fearful of the consquences of not fighting William piloted the 'Mech to the best of his abilities. While he didn't particularily do much during the battle he helped buy time for the evacuation and began to walk the path of a 'Mechwarrior, falling in love with the chaotic atmosphere of battle.

Seeing no other choice William's father sent the boy to a 'Mechwarrior academy deep in the heart of the Commonwealth on his thirteenth birthday, both to keep him safe and to help fulfill his son's wish. William never saw his father after being sent away and he has always thought he died in the chaos that the Clan Invasion brought. By age twenty he was a full blown 'Mechwarrior and given the rank of Sergeant within the AFFC and second in command of a lance. When the Fedcom Civil War came around in 3062 William was still a Sergeant and intially fought for the 'Victor' faction.

However things would take a turn for the worse for William as he and his lance were ambushed by Lyran units who nearly destroyed them to the last man. William managed to avoid death by ejecting from his Hunchback at the last second, sustaining serious wounds as he did so. As he tried to drag himself away from the battered carcass of his wrecked 'Mech he shed anything that might identify him as a loyalist and upon collapsing from his wounds he was taken to a local hospital where he spent the next six months healing. Upon his recovery he discovered that he had been listed as killed in action on July 1st 3065 and fearing he would be arrested for Treason and desertion if he returned to Federated territory he fled the planet.

William would spend the next two years as a Lonewolf, often contracting himself out as an instructor for militia groups and small merc outfits before applying to join the GSS and put his skills to real use for the first time in a couple years.

Bio looks good, pretty concise despite a few spelling mistakes that EVERYONE on NS makes if they write more than a couple of quick one liners.

The only thing I would suggest looking over is the battlemech choice. The Catapracht is legal... I think, but it's been mentioned a couple of times that the company is a bit heavy mech...heavy... you get the idea. Off the top of my head the company has a Mad Dog, Catapult, and Warhammer already. Just as a friendly suggestion, if you want to keep the brawler role, maybe look into a cobbled together Enforcer or Hatchetman?
'
Other than that, looks cool, and I really can't see any major faults or obstructions that you'd need to work on. Just gotta wait for approval from SaintB himself.

He's been TGing me all weekend, we worked the 'mech out together so its all good, if we have to play with a 'company' of 5-6 pilots leaning toward the heavy side is probably good (We used to have a full company, 12 pilots! wtf right?)

Anyway he's accepted I just need to figure out how to get him into the RP.

Also, first use of the soundtrack in my post!...not to make it all about me but after sweating the details I think the song selection fits for the escalation...maybe?

I'd jam out to knights of Cydonia while listening to the thump thump thump of my AC/2, that's for sure.

Edit: Also good to see Points of Authority in there. Linkin Park is always nice to have around.

And maybe this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXpnI52cLEc

There's a reason I left Megadeth off, well a couple. First of all I personally do not like Dave Mustaine. He's an egomanical bigoted prick with a subtle inferiority complex and is a mean drunk to boot. Plus, I've really never been enamored with Megadeth's sound in the first place, it's too technical if that makes any sense. There's no soul, no fun in a lot of it.

But if that's an official request from the OP, there may or may not be a follow-up soundtrack in the works.

I just realized something. It's pretty critical, can't believe we've missed it until now...

The Guns Specials Squadron needs a mascot.

Not saying James wouldn't be a good substitute, but something tells me he doesn't roll over on command too well :D

I nominate a tamed Dune pup or a Godan for the position

Your in the combat lance with Junii and Northern Dominus, best to just act as if you've been there the whole time. I'm sorry I didn't bring that up earlier been a little distracted.

Its not an official request, I'm not a huge fan of Megadeath either but I feel like the deliberate technical passionless heavy metal sound and the lyrics essentially capture the Mechwarrior essence.

Hence why Fear Factory is on there. Again, since I personally don't like Dave Mustaine and wish every single day that he is suddenly gripped by severe psoriasis of the liver and dies horribly in the course of one day for being not only a very mean drunk but generally a shit human being and vastly inferior to Kirk Hammett in terms of soul or style...yeah you get the idea.
