While we have no argument with other nations that do so, as a republic, AU912 does not grant titles of nobility. We agree entirely with your statement "Any person can climb the social ladder if he or she is willing to work for it....every person has the right to self-determination of destiny, and no society can stop him."

In AU912, we have used the free market system and have remained stable for most of a century while the mixed economy we left behind fell to ruin, so while we agree a planned economy usually results in failure due to poor planning, we don't buy the argument that "only a mixed market system can guarantee economic success in the long run".

We only take volunteers in our army, on the principle that as a highly advanced non-interventionist nation, we don't need a huge military, and small, elite volunteer forces have better morale. Should the situation require, however, we expect every citizen to do his or her duty. We permit private ownership of firearms precisely for the purpose of deterrence against those states that might think they can defeat our small military or corrupt our system.
