Well said, I wasn't able to make it to my campus' ceremony today but I'll be having a private moment of silence when I'm finished with my classes.

Aw thats so amazing, I need to move to wherever you live. I sadly live in a country where Roman Catholicism is the official state religion and the LGBT 'scene' is practically underground and quite frankly dangerous.

I agree, the church has no business with the state, I tried telling them, but they don't listen
Do I want to live in my country? No..I mean it has some pretty amazing stuff, but I doubt that some laws will change in the foreseeable future. I'd rather live wherever you live or at least any other place that allows me to marry whomever I fall in love with.

Then try moving to Canada (where I am), or the USA (some States allow same-sex marriage), or some countries in Europe (Spain for one, probably France very soon).
In what country are you exactly?

That works. When I came out, the guy said that me being gay was "kinda cute, actually" before assuring me that he wasn't the same.

To be honest, I suspect it wasn't so much that he didn't believe you as he was felt really awkward knowing you were sexually attracted to him, and so he tried to laugh it off.
