First, the Minor League final standings. Next season will be the final incarnation of the Minor Leagues in this format. From 2179 onward, they will be restructured regionally into four leagues of twelve, with a thirty four game season, and a playoff cup system to compliment divisional winners. More information will be released soon.

Collegiate Sporting Alliance, 1779 season

Expansion year!

No, there wasn't any conference looking to add another school in order to make its name sound even more ridiculous than it already is (then again, none of the CSA conferences indicate the number of member schools). However, six new institutions were granted admission to the CSA beginning with the 1779 season. Continental University, the University of Northern Riestre, Salle State University, the University of Gloem, Desaneng Maritime Academy (DMA), and Darnai A&M University commenced CSA play this year. None of the six have joined a conference, and they all currently compete as independents. They schedule 15 matches just like the other 72 schools and are free to play anyone at any time.

National Championship Tournament

First Round
For the second year in a row, there was a 16-over-1 upset in the first round as "token SCC nerd school" Astenast State downed Riestre State. Last year it was BTI on the wrong end of that fixture, and this year BTI again bowed out in the first round to a lower-ranked school, though Bektys Coastal was at least courteous enough to allow the Hornets to play for 120 minutes. The award for pantsing of the round goes to 14-seed Bektys State, who routed Military on the road to progress.

Not really too much strange in the quarterfinals, although we came quite close to having the 16-seed in the semifinals once again. It would seem, however, that the Stars can't hit the broad side of a barn from the penalty spot. But the 14-seed did make it through after overcoming Middle Bektys in extra time.

International University Challenge Championship 23

Welcome to the twenty-third edition of the IUCC, the premier tournament for university football teams around the multiverse.

A total of 30 institutions from ten nations were entered into this year's tournament. Each nation's champion will be given a bye directly to the group stage; the other twenty schools will participate in the qualifying round.

The qualifying round fixtures shall be drawn at random, with the exception that no association shall have both of its representatives face each other.

Sponsorship

Nakiti Corporation's sponsorship deal with the IUCC was actually scheduled to end following IUCC21, but was extended through IUCC22 for reasons that the IUCC organizing committee has chosen not to disclose (frankly, we think they're just very absent-minded).

That said, we are now accepting applications for sponsorship of the next four editions of the tournament (IUCC24 through 27). All sponsorship applications should be posted in this thread with a corporate logo and some sort of description of the corporation. Sponsorship applications are due by Tuesday 5 January.

Well, another season has come and gone. Unlike most countries if you havent noticed the UICA season comes before the Taeshan Soccer season and interestingly enough its time for another Tae Season. It has also been confirmed that the five afformentiopned teams by the Taeshan Soccer Federation will be joining the league for the next seaosn in the Zweite Division/ 60 teams will now be i nthe league so interestingly enough it is getting hotter as the years come.

Associations ranked 1–6 (Cafundéu, Candelaria And Marquez, Capitalizt SLANI, Jasĭyun, Elves Security Forces, and Vephrall) are allowed to enter four teams.
Associations ranked 7–16 (Ad’ihan, Septentrionia, Estresse Intenso, Dancougar, Aguazul, Sorthern Northland, West Zirconia, Taeshan, Sargossa, and Krytenia) are allowed to enter three teams.
Associations ranked 17 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter two teams.

Globe Cup 17: Every association is allowed to enter three teams.
Cygnus Series B Champions’ Cup 17: Every association is allowed to enter four teams.

The following associations did not provide evidence of results generated in the previous season, and will be required to satisfy this requirement (e.g., by posting a league table for their next season) in order to enter teams in the next season of UICA competitions:

International competition

The action began when Arcrés Millos defeated Boalluns FE, four goals to nil. All four turned out to be really necessary, too, as Boalluns took the second leg 3-0. Not...in a real way, you understand. Just necessary. Wouldn't want to draw 3-3 over two legs and wind up losing on some tiebreaker now, would you?

Piratas de Grisolon drew 3-3 over two legs and wound up losing on away goals.

Better news in the SBCC, though, as San Pablo and 2 de abril both won their preliminary rounds. Estudiantes de Íguen beat Buchanan LFC 2-1 to open the Globe Cup for Aguazul. Nothing too shocking about that, except that they went on to win the second leg 5-3. Remember how weird it felt when Estudiantes played a game with five goals, combined, last Apertura? Part of that came from the fact that they were playing Trecelunas FC, admittedly, but still. 5-3. They'll remember that one for a long time, though not as happily as they should, and were too wowed to do much more, reverting to type in a 0-0 draw with Shuukyuu Kishin before losing the second leg.

Before leaving Vephrall behind to go demonstrate the Lopez Principle for themselves, Arcrés Millos drew 3-3 with Stestrenas OC over two legs and wound up winning on away goals. Deportivo Peralta drew 3-3 with Docktown Deathdogs over two legs and wound up winning on away goals. The Pumas drew 3-3 with ISC Rig over two legs and wound up losing on away goals. 2 de abril drew 3-3 with Eldorado over two legs and wound up winning on away goals. And CF Clan Tropa defeated Pollock College over two legs, 5-0.

See, our league is better than Dancougar's.

Despite Ederoño Manderiaga's best efforts, Trecelunas FC succumbed on penalties to Redwood Forest. Piratas de Grisolon lost to Otorhinolaryngologists on an away goal, singular, but CA Condadore beat Monteriano, as you know. Arcrés Millos took their only point in the TQCC group stage off the group winner, but Mapabore Juventud were appropriately pleased with their 5-3 win. And their 4-0 win. And their other wins as well. Deportivo Peralta twice beat those all-out attackers of DFE Anhenir, finishing third in their group, while 2 de abril endured a 6-1 defeat and only lost by three in the other leg. CF Clan Tropa beat some possible Frenchies and nobody else.

CA Condadore lost a group stage game to Tenderville United, but it was in the Globe Cup so that's okay, and were eliminated in time to write about, so that's sort of good. And Mapabore Juventud lost their knockout round match in the TQCC. So...yeah.

They are the Pirates who don't win the Liga Aguazuleña. Well, that's not true. No pirates had ever won the Liga Aguazuleña. But you know what I mean. They just stay home, outside of the Supercentro, and lie around. Except that they don't do that, either. They actually attack. Which is rare for teams outside the Supercentro--the next-best attacking team from beyond the agglomeration is Fábricas, who have been deteriorating ever since they lost the tiebreaker to make the SBCC. Beyond them, it's CSD Trecelunas, the quirky sports club that's so far surprised people in understanding football enough not to pull a kenavt. They have support, and they might have talent, but getting their act together is a whole 'nother story.

Anyhow, point is, if you ask Piratas de Grisolon to do anything, they'll just tell you, "Okay, yeah, let's win the league."

So they did.

La Verdad headline titles and all, we're going to need some new lyrics. Which, to be fair, nobody's better at making than Estadio NioRadio's fan groups. They cheered the team on to their first Liga Aguazuleña title, a point ahead of Trecelunas FC; it was a good season to be outside of the Supercentro, one supposes. The rest of the first division isn't, though, and 12 de noviembre rebounded from last season's fluke to take the final TQCC spot. Off to the Globe Cup are the two other defensive teams in the top flight, who tied in the standings for the second season in a row.

And then come Mapabore Juventud. Maybe realigning the season and national team schedule wasn't such a good idea--yes, the team will be able to call the players that did well this season for the Cup of Harmony, but the good players that haven't moved abroad are increasingly torn between club and country. It hurt San Pablo in the last double-season, and it's hurting more than one team this time around. Arcrés Millos were only a point above ninth place!

Ah yes, the relegation fight. Ojedo Cerro were last outright, no question there. But at the end of two seasons, little Unión de Ciudagua and troubled CA Condadore--who didn't beat anyone on the road besides Mapabore Juventud after all--were tied for eighth and ninth place. In spite of everything, Condadore pulled a Grisolon and escaped danger on goal difference, bringing a hopeful end to a devastating year.

Okay, we can stop pitying them now. After all, jerseys with a special memorial patch mean a new set of merchandise to sell. Mustn't forget our priorities.

Maybe it was having more old...friends would be pushing it...around. Maybe the national team bribed people because they need acclimatization, although I doubt this. Maybe they just got bored. Whatever the case, Deportivo Peralta are relatively good once more, winning once again to secure their promotion place. San Pablo were two points shy of CF Clan Tropa overall for the playoff spot, while Fábricas' reasonably decent efforts still weren't enough to survive. Something tells me becoming the first team known to play in three divisions won't placate matters.

The third division, you might not be entirely surprised to hear, was won by CSD Trecelunas, with ICD Villago second once again. This time around, they won the playoff, 1-0, to send Blén CA back to where they came. Unión de Ciudagua beat CF Clan Tropa 2-1 to stay in the first division.

Globe Cup Bid: Estadio Cinilago, Ciruelas (25,000) They should really put a roof on it, but it's still better than the alternative.
SBCC Bid: Estadio Conabora, San Pablo (50,000) Too big? Hope not.

Copa Nacional

Twelve seasons ago, when Piratas de Grisolon were failing at getting promoted, Fábricas were almost in the TQCC and Pehuen Figueroa was just breaking out (I'd criticize myself for even putting him on the national team, but I'm cutting myself some slack because this is San Pablo we're talking about), the concept of a national cup was discarded because defensive teams would probably win it.

Ah, the wisdom of the ages, how scorning you probably isn't a good idea.

It all looked so pretty to start with. Ten second division teams, right? Plus the top two in the third division have a chance at getting into the second division. They play each other, that leaves six teams left to join the first division teams, who'd get a bye, and then we have sixteen and it's a power of two and it's pretty. We could have it in the summer, when there's nothing going on except the big tournaments for national teams? And the winner could go to that thing in Aeropag because we're such a good league we can choose our own representatives?

Yeah, this was a silly idea.

Millos showed some life by taking down the champions in the most attractive match (on paper, and also if you like goals). Unión de Ciudagua are grateful for their new lease on top-flight life, and showed they might deserve it by beating Mapabore Juventud. Their neighbors lost to Ojedo Cerro, who just wanted one last hurrah.

HYDRO SUPER LEAGUE - SEASON FIVE (PART I OF VI)

The fifth season of the Valladar Super League, better known as the Hydro Super League for sponsorship reasons, started this time with a nice surprise. The bid submitted by the National Stadium was successful, and the TQCC 19 final was held in Valladares for the first time ever. Poikimitagiin FE, from Vephrall, defeated Albrecht Turkish, from Candelaria And Marquez (two goals to nil) in that match, and became the first Vephrese champions of the TQCC. Well, let's enter in the HSL 5, with the Apertura Tournament.

Eight victories in a row, twenty-four points, and a victory at the Dome included...Now it's becoming clear the fact that the Impact will be one of the qualified teams to the Play-Off. Meanwhile, the fight for the second place is hot. Tannenberg, Eterna Stars and Marinos are fighting for being the other seeded team for the Play-Off. And the Alligators? The loss to the super-leader left them in a uncomfortable sixth place, with only 15 points.

The "Alligators" are trying to recover from the hard blow the Impact gave them, beating Valencia at their own home. Meanwhile, Bezieres has hammered Tannenberg, beating them 2-1. This is exploited by the "Stars", that return to the second place in the standings. Alejandría SC finally got their first point in their history in the HSL. Fontvielle Impact, sole leader.

With nine matches left, Fontvielle Impact is about to assure their presence in the Play-Off. With 30 points in 10 matches, and a perfect record, it's hard to think in an eventual elimination for the best team in the season so far. The fight for the second place now involves five teams: Tannenberg FC, Eterna Stars, AS Bezieres, Metropolis Alligators and Marinos Metropolis. AS Bezieres is placed now in a position never expected for the experts: fourth. As for Alejandría, in ten matches, now they have two points, after losing their first eight matches. A slow start, we can think...But: Will this be enough to save them from relegation? Time will give us the answer...

The super-leader Fontvielle Impact lost their first match in the whole season. This result allows Tannenberg, Bezieres, and Marinos Metropolis to reduce the advantage the Impact had over them. "Stars" and "Alligators" slipped, and the "Bulls" regain strength.

The Impact seem to be unharmed by the defeat in the last matchday, and need to get seven points more to assure their qualification to the Play-Off. Tannenberg is starting to assure their second place, and after the "Citizens", there is a group of four teams with 25 points: Bezieres, Metropolis Alligators, Eterna Stars and Slateport Bulls.

Some of the "Big" teams received unexpected defeats in this matchday. Tannenberg lost to Pumas in Maldonado, Eterna was defeated in Montreux, and the "Bulls" couldn't manage to get any point at Nord Energie's home. The fight for the eighth place, and last qualifying place to the Play-Off, is now between four teams: Caimanes, Cerro, and two newly promoted teams: Canalave Dragons and Nord Energie FC. The Impact now need four points more to qualify to the Play-Off. Hamanos, Lili and Alejandría: without qualifying chances.

First victory in the Super League for Alejandría! But...it's useless, because they have no qualifying chances since last matchday. Fontvielle Impact is now virtually qualified for the Play-Off, after their draw in Campo Grande and Cerro's draw with Tannenberg. Metropolis Alligators, taking advantage of that, reach the second place, while the fight for the eighth place seems reduced to two teams: SC Caimanes and AD Cerro.

And we have the first qualified team to the Play-Off: Fontvielle Impact. 40 points in 15 matches, excellent campaign. In a thrilling match, "Alligators" and "Citizens" tie 3-3, and Cerro takes the eighth place, with their victory, and Caimanes' draw in Valencia. AS Vaud is the fourth eliminated team.

Tannenberg only needs one victory to become the second qualified team to the Play-Off.

The "Big" teams qualified for the Play-Off in this matchday. Tannenberg, Eterna, Marinos and Alligators are now qualified to the Play-Off, alongside the Impact. The fight is now for the last three spots in the Play-Off. Caimanes defeated their direct rival Cerro and returned to the eighth place. Bezieres and Slateport have to assure their spot for the Play-Off yet, and Nord Energie has a little, very little chance.

Slateport Bulls qualified for the Play-Off after defeating Pumas Maldonado. Despite their victory over Bezieres, Nord Energie was eliminated thanks to Cerro's and Caimanes' victories. Only three teams are fighting for two spots: AS Bezieres, SC Caimanes and AD Cerro, and one of them will be eliminated.
