I see eye to eye with the Libertarians the most. I used to be a Republican, then I saw the new party platform they were drafting up, and could no longer in good conscience support them.

So, just to be clear, you do not oppose same-sex marriage, including calling it "marriage"?

I have to swallow my pride a little bit here, but yes, they should have the same rights as heterosexual couples. Which also means that I would not be opposed to it being called "marriage". It is a Civil Process, so the name doesn't really matter. At the governmental level every couple should be viewed equally, but Religious groups should also have the freedom to hold the ceremony for whomever they choose. I'm just a set of contradictions, aren't I? :)

Thank you, and I don't get freaked out too easily. I have some pretty weird (and liberal) friends.

I vote partisan Libertarian nearly every time. It's more than a bit ironic, because I'm an international socialist, and I don't need that explained to me. The overlap in fighting for important freedoms and stunting federal control lends to this partisanship being a-okay.
Not that I trust their candidates any more than Dems, and Reps, and all the others. I'm suspicious of authority in general, which can be a little problematic when voting.

Libertarian, although I honestly think Gary Johnson is a sissy.
This test is biased and has stupid questions, but anyways:
Old (from when my nation was founded):
Economic Right: 6.50
Social Libertarian:-3.67
New (11 December 2012):
Economic Right: 2.50
Social Libertarian: -5.23
Be aware that I am only so near to the centre of the economic axe because this test associates being right-wing with crony capitalism, trickle down, and letting business be held to lower standards than individuals under law.

On economics, Socialist Labor Party of America (even though they're almost non-existant now :( )

On social issues, I'm somewhere in between Dems and Reps. But both are too extreme for my personal views on social issues. But I side with Democrats on abortion, contraception, and guns.
This is no longer my main nation (got bored with it).

I affiliate with absolutely no party, because I believe that political parties are intrinsically bad, nor do I vote for candidates (I might be persuaded to vote on propositions, however.) Some have suggested that I throw my lot in with the Libertarian party, but the way that parties work precludes a candidate from doing anything more than advocating libertarian policies rhetorically, hence the capital-L Libertarians running of folks like Bob Barr and Gary Johnson. (And no, I don't like Ron Paul, for that matter.)

Green Party.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Eh, all the political tests I've taken puts me in line with them. I of course vote Democrat though, when they are available.

I'd say it's a lost cause personally, you'd probably be better off with the Greens.

Too long a game for me. I'd like to see the Greens start joining the Democrats in order to move the conversation in a more workable direction.
