Main Battle Tanks
E9A3 Thunder Chief II
Image

History
The E9A3 was developed in the late 1990's as the replacment of the aging Leopard 2A4, it saw first combat in the Jihadist rebellion in 2007 were it proved to be a reliable and effect weapon capable of destroying enemy hard points at long range, from the lessons learned during the rebellion the E9A4U was developed.

Development
Around the 1990 the United States of Sankji was looking for a new tank to replace the Leopard 2A4 , the tank had to be better protected, better armed, with a improved range of operation, better resistance to the cold and heath and equipped with night and heat vision.
The response to this was the Canceled E9A1 and E9A2 Thunderchief II tanks, even though they were both unsuccessful the lessons learned from these prototypes let to the E9A3 Thunderchief.
The first prototype was built mid 2001 even though it bigger and far more exspensive then the previous main battle tank the: Leopard 2A4, the E9A3 Thunderchief II outmatched the Leopard by far and at the end of 2004 the E9A3 Thunderchief II was taken into full production.

Armament
The E9A3 Thunderchief II is equipped with a 140 mm S104 rifled cannon and two 2 .50-caliber, M2HB heavy machine guns
The 140 mm S104 rifled cannon is a modified version of S99 120mm cannon and is capable of firing armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS), high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT-FS), and high explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) ammunition, as well as ZY-01 Broder anti-tank guided missiles. The Broder missile has semi-automatic laser beam-riding guidance and a tandem hollow-charge HEAT warhead. It has an effective range of 100 m to 7.5 km, and takes 14.2 seconds to reach maximum range. Broder can penetrate about 1100 millimetres of steel armour and can also engage low-flying air targets such as helicopters.
The .50-caliber, M2HB heavy machine guns is a remotely controlled anti-aircraft Heavy machine gun can be operated from within the tank by the commander and has a range of 2 km and a cyclic rate of fire of 700–800 rounds per minute. One big difference between the E9A3 Thunder Chief II and the previous modern tanks, is the E9A3 Thunder Chief II is fed by an automatic loader which removes the need for a manual loader in the tank and reduces the crew to 3 (commander, gunner, and driver). The autoloader can carry 34 ready-to-fire rounds in its carousel and can load a round in 4–7 seconds.
Fire-control system on the E9A3 Thunderchief II includes the PP-44 day and night sighting system mounted at the commanders station which allows for night time detection of a tank sized target at ranges up to 2000 meters. The gunner is also provided with the PP-22 day sighting system which includes a laser range finder, missile guidance channel and allows tank-sized targets to be detected and engaged at 6 to 9 kilometers. The driver users a PP-21 day and night sight.

Concealment
The turret is fitted with two eight-barreled smoke grenade launchers. These can create a thick smoke that blocks both vision and thermal imaging. The engine is also equipped with a smoke generator that is triggered by the driver. When activated, fuel is sprayed into the hot turbine exhaust, creating the thick smoke.

Variants
  • E9A3 Thunder Chief II - Standard Variant
  • E9A4U Thunder Chief II - Upgraded variant with improved: stabilizer, upgraded aim sights and armor including a bustle rack on the rear and reactive armor.

Development
In 2002 during the testing era of the E9A3 Thunder Chief II a new cheaper, smaller and faster tank was required to fight along side the bigger and more powerful E9A3 Thunder Chief II.
Even though the E9A3 Thunder Chief II proved to be a extremely capable tank it's massive size and high cost required another tank that was smaller, easier to produce and cheaper.
In 2004 the first prototype of the D12A1 Juggernaut was released, Impressed by the tank the government almost immediately decided to take it into production and in March 2005 the first D12A1 Juggernaut was completed and a month later in was took service in the army.

Upgrades
In 2007 during the Jihadist rebellion the D12A1 Juggernaut proved to be a giant asset on the battlefield, at long range it could take out enemy vehicles and hard points with few shots.
The D12A1 Juggernaut was less capable in close quarter combat there many of the D12A1 Juggernaut took damage from enemy combatants anti-tank weapons who could disable at D12A1 with Juggernaut a few shots on the rear of the tank.
Responding to this threat the D12A2 Juggernaut was designed it is equipped with better armor against anti-tank weapons and a added bustle rack on the rear making it a lot more difficult to be disabled in combat, also it has an improved night sight since the previous one on the D12A1 proved to be a liability.
As response to newer and better foreign tanks the new D12A3 Juggernaut was released in 2011, it has improvements over the D12A2 including a better and larger S104 140mm Smoothbore Cannon, also new enhancements improve the tank crews survivability significantly, fore more comfort of the crew a improved air-conditioning and heather has been installed.

Armament
The D12A1 and D12A2 Juggernaut are both equipped with the very effective 120 mm Smoothbore Cannon it can fire a variety of rounds and is used on many of the modern tanks.
The D12A3 Juggernaut is equipped with the 140mm S104 Rifled Cannon a larger cannon capable of taking down better armored enemies at a longer range, it is the same cannon as the E9A3 Thuderchief II uses.
The .50-caliber, M2HB heavy machine guns is a remotely controlled anti-aircraft Heavy machine gun can be operated from within the tank by the commander and has a range of 2 km and a cyclic rate of fire of 700–800 rounds per minute.
The D12A1 Juggernaut is equipped with a modern auto loader it can carry 34 ready-to-fire rounds in its carousel and can load a round in 4–7 seconds.

History
Development of the Gladiator 1 started in June off 2006 as result of a request for a better and more powerful main battle tank to compete with foreign tanks, the requirements where simple: it had to be cheap and easy to produce and maintain, fast, powerful and well protect, the Gladiator 1 was the result of this. The first prototype was released in 2009 and after over a year of successful testing it went in to full production.

Armament
The Gladiator 1 is equipped with the very effective L55 120 mm Smoothbore Cannon it can fire a variety of rounds and is used on many of the modern tanks. It also has a .50-caliber, M2HB heavy machine guns is a remotely controlled anti-aircraft Heavy machine gun can be operated from within the tank by the commander and has a range of 2 km and a cyclic rate of fire of 700–800 rounds per minute and 7.62x51mm Breakdown MMG which is a modern general purpose machine gun which is meant to fire at targets at medium range with a high rate if fire. All Gladiator variants are equipped with a modern auto loader that can carry 34 ready-to-fire rounds in its carousel and can load a round in 4–6 seconds. The Gladiator 2 is equipped with the 140mm S104 Rifled Cannon, which is a larger cannon capable of taking down better armored enemies at a longer range with less rounds, it is the same cannon as the E9A3 Thunderchief II and the D12A3 Juggernaut. As an addition to the tanks arsenal a a L51 Firefly Missile Launcher Module was added. The L51 is a missile launch system which is able carry up to 4 missile and can be used to fire both surface-to-air missile (SAM) and anti-armor guided missiles (ATGM). On the Gladiator 3S the S104 Rifled Cannon is replaced with the S109B 140mm electrothermal-chemical gun which will significantly increase the vehicle's firepower and potential payload. Also the M2 Browning was replaced XM312 .50-caliber machine gun which is lighter in weight has less recoil and has more accuracy against targets at long range.

Protection
The Gladiator uses spaced, multi-layered composite armor throughout the design. Newer models such as the Gladiator 2 have improved protection against tanks and RPG's and the Gladiator 3 has additional armor to it's tracks with a improved skirt. The Gladiator 3S model has replaced it's original armor which is far better, lighter and more advanced, it's made out of: Nano-crystal steel, Modular ceramic composite armor and Light weight upper armor. Estimated levels of protection for the Gladiator 1 range from 755 - 855 RHAe on the turret, 800 RHAe on the glacis and lower front hull, on the Gladiator 3S this is estimated to 1150 - 1250 RHAe on the turret, 1200 RHAe on the glacis and lower front hull. All Gladiator variants after the Gladiator 2 include spall liners on the inside of the tank, protecting the crew. The Gladiator 2 has increases protection against rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) through it's additional slat armour. The crew is also protected against Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) threats, as the Gladiator is equipped with a NBC overpressurization system which provides up to 4 mbar (0.004 kp/cm2) over-pressure inside the vehicle. The Gladiator is equipped with a fire protection system. Four 9 kg Halon fire extinguisher bottles are installed on the right behind the driver's station. The bottles are connected to pipes and hoses and are activated automatically by the fire detection system, when temperatures rise above 82°C (180 °F) inside the fighting compartment, or manually via a control panel in the driver's compartment. An extra 2.5 kg Halon fire extinguisher is also stored on the floor beneath the main gun.

Fire control
The standard fire control system found on the Gladiator is a modified EMES 15 fire control system with a dual magnification stabilized primary sight. The primary sight has an integrated Neodymium Yttrium Aluminium Garnet solid state laser rangefinder and a 120 element and a thermal sight which is linked to the tank's fire control computer. A backup 8x auxiliary telescope FERO-Z18 is mounted coaxially for the gunner the commander has an independent periscope called the PO-0584 which is a stabilized panoramic periscope sight designed for day / night observation and target identification, and it provides an all round view with a traverse of 360°. The thermal image from the commander's periscope is displayed on a monitor inside the tank. Gladiator 2 and later models have an improved primary sight which is more reliable and it gives the gunner a wider and cleared view of the battlefield. The fire control suite is capable of providing up to three range values in four seconds. The range data is transmitted to the fire control computer and is used to calculate the firing solution. Also, because the laser rangefinder is integrated into the gunner's primary sight, the gunner is able to read the digital range measurement directly. The maximum range of the laser rangefinder is just less than 10,000 m with a measuring accuracy to within 15 m at this range. The combined system allows the Gladiator to engage moving targets at ranges of up to 5,000 meters whilst itself being on the move over rough terrain.

The Mounted Combat System (MCS) is to provide both direct and Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS) offensive firepower capability, and allowed for in-depth destruction of point targets up to 8 km (5 mi) away. This requires the use of an integrated sensor network to detect enemy forces. The MCS has a a crew of three and to is armed with a 120 mm main gun, a .50 caliber machine gun, and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The MCS was can deliver precision fire at a rapid rate, in order to destroy multiple targets at standoff ranges quickly, and can complement the other systems in the unit of action. It is be capable of providing direct support to the dismounted infantry in an assault, defeating bunkers, and breaching walls during tactical assaults. It's also highly mobile, in order to maneuver out of contact and into positions of advantage; given the vehicle's light weight, this is especially important. Protection from higher caliber rounds as well as anti-tank guided missiles would is by an active protection system. History
The YF-97 Illusion was originally designed as a Naval fighter but during development the government saw potential and requested a conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) version off the Illusion known as the YF97A.

Development
The request for a new fighter plane came around 2001 to replace older aging fighter planes, it had the be: stealth, easy and cheap to maintain, supersonic and capable of operating at long range.
This led to the YF-97 Illusion which prototype was first tested in 2006, impressed by it's capabilities the government quickly saw potential and raised the Illusion program's funds with over 7 Billion Dollars.
During testing it showed that the YF-97 Illusion was vastly superior over the f-16 and the f-18, but that it also had no problem taking on planes such as the Eurofighter Typhoon and The F-22 Raptor.

Design
The YF-97 Illusion is a small, twin-engine, very maneuverable, supersonic , fifth generation Multirole Stealth fighter. The YF-97 Illusion was designed to be a cost-effective multirole fighter that is capable off performing various kinds of missions and maintain around-the-clock readiness in any kind off weather. It is smaller and lighter than its foreign counterparts, and uses advanced aerodynamics and avionics to achieve enhanced maneuver performance.

YF-103 Vanguard

YF-103 Vanguard

The YF-103CTL Vanguard

    Role: Fifth-generation Multirole Stealth Fighter
National Origin: The United States of Sankji
    Manufacturer: Sankji National Defense Industries
    First flight: June 02, 2009
    Introduction: September 29, 2012
    Status: In active service
    Produced: 2010—present
    Number built: over 20,000
    Unit cost:
    • YF-103CTL Vanguard: NSD $104 million
    • YF-103CBV Vanguard: NSD $106 million

History
The YF-103 Vanguard was designed as a responds to foreign fifth generation fighters, In the late 1980s, the United States of Sankji outlined a need for a next-generation aircraft to replace its YF-49 and YF-72 in front line service. This was influenced by the emerging worldwide threats, including development and proliferation of foreign fifth generation fighter aircraft. It would take advantage of the new technologies in fighter design on the horizon including composite materials, lightweight alloys, advanced flight-control systems, more powerful propulsion systems, and stealth technology. A request for proposals (RFP) was issued in January 2005 and two contractor teams, were selected on 17 April 2005 to undertake a 50-month demonstration phase, culminating in the flight test of two prototypes, the XF-102 and the XF-103.

Design
The Vanguard is a highly agile aircraft at both supersonic and low speeds, achieved through having an intentionally relaxed stability design. It was designed to be smaller, lighter, faster and more agile then foreign fifth generation fighters. It has a state of the art digital fly-by-wire control system providing artificial stability. The fly-by-wire system is described as "carefree", and prevents the pilot from exceeding the permitted manoeuvre envelope. Roll control is primarily achieved by use of the wing flaperons. The YF-103 is uniquely equipped for this mission with cutting edge processing power, synthetic aperture radar integration techniques, and advanced target recognition. The Vanguard has favourable flight characteristics, such as low drag properties, which enables faster and more efficient flight, as well as either increased range or a larger equipment payload. To allow operations from short strips, the Vanguard is capable of maintaining a fast sink rate and is strengthened to withstand the stresses of conducting short landings. One measure used to decrease landing distance is the canards, which can be angled downwards to act as air brakes. The main wing is also fitted with flaps and elevons to change the flow of air around the wing.

The YF-103 was meant to replace the YF-72B and just some improvements over current-generation fighter aircraft are:
  • Durable, low-maintenance stealth technology, using structural fiber mat instead of the high-maintenance coatings of legacy stealth platforms.
  • Integrated avionics and sensor fusion that combine information from off- and on-board sensors to increase the pilot's situational awareness and improve target identification and weapon delivery, and to relay information quickly to other command and control.
  • High speed data networking including IEEE 1394b and Fibre Channel.
  • The Autonomic Logistics Global Sustainment , Autonomic Logistics Information System and Computerized Maintenance Management System are claimed to help ensure aircraft uptime with minimal maintenance manpower.
  • Maintenance cost is 22% lower those of the YF-72B.
  • Electrohydrostatic actuators run by a power-by-wire flight-control system.

Armament
The YF-103 includes a GAU-22/A, a four-barrel version of the GAU-12 Equalizer 25 mm cannon. The cannon is mounted internally with 220 rounds for the YF-103CTL or in an external pod with 210 rounds for the YF-103CBV, the gun pod will have stealth features. The Terma A/S multi-mission pod (MMP) could be used for different equipment in the future for all three variants, such as electronic warfare equipment, reconnaissance equipment, or possibly a rearward-facing radar.

It has two internal weapons bays, and external hardpoints that can mount four underwing pylons and two near wingtip pylons. The two outer hardpoints can only carry pylons for the AIM-9X Sidewinder and AIM-132 ASRAAM short-range air-to-air missiles (AAM). The other pylons can carry the AIM-120 AMRAAM BVR AAM, Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missile, AGM-158 Joint Air to Surface Stand-off Missile (JASSM) cruise missile, and guided bombs. The external pylons can carry missiles, bombs, and fuel tanks. An air-to-air load of eight AIM-120s and two AIM-9s is possible using internal and external weapons stations; a configuration of six 2,000 lb (910 kg) bombs, two AIM-120s and two AIM-9s can also be arranged.

Stealth and Signatures
The YF-103 has been designed to have a low radar cross section primarily due to the shape of the aircraft and the use of stealthy materials used in construction, including fiber-mat. Unlike the previous generation of fighters, the YF-103 was designed with a shape for low-observable characteristics. The small bumps just forward of the engine air intakes form part of the diverterless supersonic inlet (DSI) which is a simpler, lighter means to ensure high-quality airflow to the engine over a wide range of conditions. These inlets also crucially improve the aircraft's low-observable characteristics.

The YF-103 reportedly relies less on maintenance-intensive radar absorbent coatings than previous stealth designs like the YF-97. These materials are susceptible to adverse weather conditions. Unlike the YF-72, which requires climate-controlled hangars, the Vanguard can undergo repairs on the flight line or in a normal hangar. The Vanguard features a Signature Assessment System which delivers warnings when the radar signature is degraded and has necessitated repair.

The YF-103 features a full-panel-width "panoramic cockpit display" (PCD) glass cockpit, with dimensions of 20 by 8 inches (50 by 20 centimeters). It is equipped with a cockpit speech-
recognition system (Direct Voice Input) to improve the pilot's ability to operate the aircraft over the current-generation interface. The YF-103 is the first Sankian operational fixed-wing aircraft to use this system. A helmet-mounted display system (HMDS) will be fitted to all models of the YF-103. While some fighters have offered HMDS along with a head up display (HUD), this will be the first time in several decades that a front line tactical jet fighter has been designed without a HUD. The Martin-Baker US16E ejection seat is used in all YF-103 variants. The US16E seat design balances major performance requirements, including safe-terrain-clearance limits, pilot-load limits, and pilot size. It uses a twin-catapult system that is housed in side rails.

Helmet-Mounted Display System
The Vanguard does not need to be physically pointing at its target for weapons to be successful. This is possible because of sensors that can track and target a nearby aircraft from any orientation, provide the information to the pilot through his helmet (and therefore visible no matter which way they are looking), and provide the seeker-head of a missile with sufficient information. Recent missile types provide a much greater ability to pursue a target regardless of the launch orientation, called "High Off-Boresight" capability, although the speed and direction in which the munition is launched affect the effective range of the weapon. Sensors use combined radio frequency and infra red (SAIRST) to continually track nearby aircraft while the pilot's helmet-mounted display system (HMDS) displays and selects targets. The helmet system replaces the display suite-mounted head-up display used in earlier fighters. The Vanguards systems provide the edge in the "observe, orient, decide, and act" OODA loop; stealth and advanced sensors aid in observation (while being difficult to observe), automated target tracking helps in orientation, sensor fusion simplifies decision making, and the aircraft's controls allow the pilot to keep their focus on the targets, rather than the controls of their aircraft.

Tiltrotor Aircraft:
H-2 Ares
Image

The H-2 Ares is a small V/STOL transport aircraft created by The United States of Sankji and The Incorporated States of The Aspari Syndicate, it is small, light, agile, fast and was originally created to quickly deploy small groups of special forces soldiers deeply in hostile territory. It is extremely agile and capable of quickly drop off troops and supplies and then return to base under enemy fire, the H-2 is equipped with a glass cockpit, which incorporates four Multi-function displays (which is compatible with night-vision goggles) and one shared Central Display Unit, allowing the pilots to display a variety of images including: digimaps centered or decentered on current position, FLIR imagery, primary flight instruments, navigation (TACAN, VOR, ILS, GPS, INS), and system status. The flight director panel of the Cockpit Management System (CMS) allows for fully coupled (autopilot) functions that take the aircraft from forward flight into a 50 ft (15 m) hover with no pilot interaction other than programming the system.

VG-73 Night Vision Goggles

The VG-73 combines image intensifier (I2 or II) and infra-red (IR, also called thermal imaging) technologies, and is the first night vision device to do so. Before this "fusing", these two technologies could only be used separately. The VG-73 allows both methods to be used together or individually, and can be helmet-mounted. It is powered by four AA type batteries allowing continuous combined use of II and IR for 9 hours. The device can be used for a further 9 hours in II mode.
Classified as a third-generation passive night vision device, the VG-73 can provide vision through thermal imaging even in situations where there isn't enough ambient light for the image intensifiers, thus eliminating the need for infra-red illumination. It can also see through battlefield obscurants such as smoke and fog. The combined technologies allow better target identification and recognition, thereby improving the soldier's mobility and situational awareness. The center of gravity of the device is close to the face of the wearer, making the helmet-mounted use more comfortable, as well as increasing stability, Aiming lasers can also be integrated with it. With a weight of almost 2 pounds (0.91 kg), the VG-73 is light, small an easy to carry.
