NATV commentary

Tom: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! Now we have...

Suzan: Anollasia!

Tom: Nope! Demphor!

Demphor

Tom: Three words. I. HATED. IT.

Suzan: Me too. Good, but so unoriginal! Join with an original song or don't join at all!

Tom: I agree. If you somehow for a reason I don't know, liked that song, text '1313' or vote online. Up next we have Bloodbath Generation!

Bloodbath Generation

Tom: Meh. Good, but nothing extraordinary.

Suzan: I agree too. Decent. Nothing else to say.

Tom: If you like that decent song, text '5476' or vote online. Now we have The Royal Kingdom of Quebec!

The Royal Kingdom of Quebec

Tom: Bravo! That was wonderful! It may not be as good as last year's 6th place song, but that was nice.

Suzan: Meh. It was okay.

Tom: Are you serious?

Suzan: Yes I am.

Tom: Well, if you have a good taste of music, text '7171' or vote online. Now, commercials! Stay tuned!

Commentary for Kingsley Bedford

Commentators:
Sergei Aramov (Kingfordian TV Presenter)
Katya Verbaijean (WV Contestant for KB WV8 & WV14)

Sergei: Welcome back! We've seen 30 entries so far... and we still have a few more songs to come. So far we've had some great entries and we're sure you'll find the next few just as good as the ones you've already heard. I hope you're voting for your faveourite one. Remember it is you that decides who the points from Kingsley Bedford go to.

Katya: And now representing New Warwick is Rosaline with her song "Underwater"

NEW WARWICK
S: Lovely song, great first entry for this nation and I think we've got a top 10 placing there. I like it and would vote for it myself

K: Nice composition, the vocals are ok, not the best but are satisfactory enough. They have done well with this song. I have high hopes for it. The wave effect suits the song and whilst the performance is simple and the flashing lights can get annoying at times, I think it will score some votes from many countries and like you Sergei, I predict a top 10 placing as well. To vote for it add 31 to the number on your screen.

S: Calls from landline telephones cost 1 dram and mobile calls are 2 drams. Remember to add the number of the song you want to vote for when dialing the number on your screen. Up next is Zwangzug

ZWANGZUG
S: A Worldvision veteran nation who never misses a contest. We've loved some of their songs, and hated some of them too, but this one is ok. A nice duet and the lyrics are nice too.

K: I disagree, I think the song is very typical for this country, but it dosn't do it for me. But I guess you're entitled to your opinion Sergei, just as I am entitled to have my own. Good luck Zwangzug! to vote add 32.

ISOINTANIA
S: It is a mediocre song which is saved by a fantastic stage performance full of wonderful effects that really make the song special. It's lucky they thought of the idea

K: The flames projected were amazing! At one point I actually thought he was on fire! I was ready to get up there and put the flames out myself!

S: The grand ending was a spectacular finish to the song and I think it is one that will be remembered by the viewers at home. Not for the song itself, but for the spectacular staging that they have performed tonight. It made full usage of the stage's capabilities and the technical staff must've worked hard on it so let's give them and the performers a round of applause

VALCLUSE
S: A country that never disappoints us. Year after year they produce quality songs and I can't understand how they havn't won a contest yet. This year they really have produced a great entry. There are so many great songs this contest, it'll be so hard to choose who to vote for. I think it'll be a close competition and I'd say this song will be in the top half of the scoreboard. I'd be very surprised if it dosn't succeed

K: The singer is amazing! love the voice, he's attractive too (I wonder if he's single). The song was touching and I think I saw a tear in your eye Sergei

S: No you didn't... to vote for this entry add 34

APOX
S: A debut nation and I can't say I'm impressed with it. It isn't my kind of song.

K: Good luck to them anyway and if you are impressed by it... then add 35 to vote for it.

S:We'll take a quick break now and return after this with the final round of entries for this year's contest. So stay tuned to KBBS where you're watching the 23rd WorldVision Song Contest live from Canterlot, New United Equestria!

35 - Kington Langley
Workalot - BenJam

Lone singer, song begins softly

I open my eyes
I see through the light
I reach out my hand
To hold you tight
When I feel your touch
On my skin
I feel at home
So close
Far from alone

But until now
You knew I cared not
Because I just seemed
To work alot...

Song builds louder, rest of the band joins

You stuck by me
Everyday
Hoping that I
Would look your way
It should have been obvious
From start to stop
But I ignored your love
Just worked alot

I ignored your love
To pursue my life
But I never knew
It caused you strife
I used to think
That i'd get by
By I don't want to
Without you by my side

I realise now
That long ago
My love for you
My soul
Was so unknown
I reach to you now
Hoping for your love
But fear by now
I've hurt you too much
But then I remember
From times past
That you were there
In my heart

You stuck by me
Everyday
Hoping that I
Would look your way
It should have been obvious
From start to stop
But I ignored your love
Just worked alot

Forgive me now
I accept my crime
My love for you
Has not gone with time
I hope you know
My soul is true
Because there is nothing
That yours compares to

I follow you home
Everyday
Trying to think
Of something to say
You look at me
You know i'm there
But you're not convinced
That I truly care

You stuck by me
Everyday
Hoping that I
Would look your way
It should have been obvious
From start to stop
But I ignored your love
Just worked alot

I understand now
I was so wrong
But listen close
Hear my song
I have changed
Started over
My love for you
Will never faulter

Thank you Canterlot!

Crolacia
Rose Muglleton
Sisters and Brothers

To the melody of Read All About It (Part 3) by Emeli Sande

Rose happily waited for her time to perform. She and all the other performers were chatting and laughing all the time. They were very optimistic, but not conceited. They said they would give their best, but that Crolacians shouldn't expect anything because everything would be seen in this night. Rose was modest; she said that she will try not to bring home the worst place ever in WV. There were lot of performers this edition. They were made of Rose, the human piano, children's choir and 6 actors. The human piano was a really original idea as some said, because it has never appeared in WorldVision before.

Everything went quiet and dark. The human piano began playing and some lights turned on, covering only the human piano and Rose. The dancers (human piano) were really heart-touching. Rose was also singing very good, but somehow quiet, because she wanted to emphasize the second strophe. The right and left big LED screens were showing videos or crying people, war and sadness. Camera was showing the whole stage, but then slowly descended towards Rose. She looked very beautiful, but her voice sounded better.
We are just slaves of elite people,
And we're closing our eyes,
Forgeting that we are much bigger,
Really Better in our hearts,
We mustn't be afraid,
'Cause we will get the things we can,

Camera was showing the whole stage. Suddenly, when Rose began singing the second strophe, the 14 big tubes above performers became white and were imitating heartbeats, becoming white, then black, then white again, all in the rythm of heartbeats. There were some shouts from the crowd, but they were quiet, because the song wasn't really a happy one. The human piano was still playing, and Rose was singing little more stronger now. Rose wasn't half-naked, singing about sex, drugs or alchocol. She wasn't provocative as the singers are in these days, but her voice was amazing. She could melt a cold person's heart with her honest singing.
So people, people,
People, People,
You are so tired when you work,
It's them who control our lives,
But we will not give up just yet,
To let our voices fall deep down,
We must open our big eyes,
To let them know that we're around,

As the refrain started, camera was showing the treadmills from which 6 performers slowly started moving towards the central stage. They were all wearing different clothes and were also laying on their back. They were all followed by lights that covered them. When the treadmill stopped, they were still laying and lights pointing at them turned off. When the lights turned off, camera switched showing only Rose with the human piano in the background. Rose was singing stronger that before, since this was the refrain.
People, People,
We will succeed,
We will be free,
When we learn to see the truth,
So listen carefully and sing this,
Sing with your heart,
We're all sister and brothers,
Sisters and brothers, oh,

The camera was now showing at the big 14 tubes, which stopped imitating the heartbeats and instead, the lights that were previously covering the 6 performers turned on and were still pointing at them, now imitating heartbeats. The human piano dancers were really making an effort in dancing, which was showed in their performance. Rose was slowly moving from left to the right of the stage and she stopped at the center of it. Camera was showing only her face. Her eyes were glaring and you could tell she enjoyed singing this song.
The truth just must be heard,
People will pass it on the youth,
Elders will also be informed,
Because they are important too,
We will fight until we die,
And we will never give up,yeah,

Camera was showing the end of the treadmill to the right at whose end was one of the 6 performers lying down. He rised up and was looking like a rich person, a businessman. When he rised up, the light covering him became white and stopped imitating heartbeats. He was looking around himself, wondering why all the other performers are lying down. Then the camera showed Rose, who was moving around the center of the stage and singing with big passion. Then the camera switched and was showing one of the big LED screens which was showing tanks and destruction.
So people, people,
People, people,
Our souls have been poisened,
With all evil in the world,
We forgotten that we know,
How to express our feelings too,
And when they want to control us,
We must say ''no'' just once,

The human piano was dancing really well and professionally. The camera was showing them for a moment, but then switched showing the businessman performer. He was on his feet, and then he started to walk around all the treadmills and the rest of performers. He had a specific walk; a cocky and narcissistic one. He didn't really look or pay attention on the other treadmill performers, who were still lying on their back. Camera was now showing the whole stage with all the performers, but then fastly switched showing a person from the audience who was almost crying. Rose was fabulous; she sang very good and with lot of passion.
People,people
We will succeed,
We will be free,
When we learn to see the truth,
So listen carefully and sing this,
Sing with your heart,
We're all sister and brothers,
Sisters and brothers, oh,

Camera was showing the businessman, who was still walking around the treadmills. He suddenly looked at one of the big LED screens. They were showing poor people crying. He immidiately went crazy and started to run across the stage, with camera following him. He was really sad because he realized what evil does the elite produce. Then he fastly went to one of the performers and helped him to get on his feet. That performer was wearing normal, casual clothes, symbolizing the middle class. The light that was covering that performer stopped immitating heartbeats and became white. Then the two performers helped all the other treadmill performers get on their feet, and all the lights covering them became white. The 6 treadmill performers were symbolizing different people: poor, elderly, middle class, rich, children and disabled. They were all looking sad and then the camera switched showing Rose for a moment.
Why do they want to control us?
Maybe 'cause we are too honest?
And we are forgiving them all the time,
We must see the truth in the eyes,
Why do they want to control us?
Maybe 'cause we are too honest?
And we are forgiving them all the time,
We must see the truth in the eyes,

Rose was at the center of stage and human piano to the left. Then, suddenly, big lights on the right of stage turned on, revealing a children's choir which started singing and Rose stopped singing. The audience was amazed by children's voices. Camera was showing at the choir and then switched showing the whole stage. LED screens weren't showing sadness and destruction anymore; they were showing smiling people. Then, camera switched showing Rose who was smiling, but then it switched again showing the 6 treadmill performers who were holding each other's hands and were also smiling. The choir sang really well and was heart-touching.
We will succeed,
We will be free,
When we learn to see the truth,
So listen carefully and sing this,
Sing with your heart,
We're all sister and brothers,
Sisters and brothers, oh,

Children's choir stopped singing and Rose started singing again. She was singing quietly, but with passion and honesty. The human piano was dancing very great whilst the children's choir members were smiling. The 6 treadmill performers were smiling and came to Rose, holding each other's hands, including Rose's. As the song was ending, Rose sang more strongly. Camera was showing LED screens who were showing smiling people for a moment, but then switched showing the audience who were enjoying the song. Camera was showing Rose at the last verse. She sang strongly and passionately.
We will succeed,
We will be free,
When we learn to see the truth,
So listen carefully and sing this,
Sing with your heart,
We're all sister and brothers,
Sisters and brothers, oh,

As the song ended, Rose began crying but at the same time, smiling. She shouted: ''We love you!'' There were many Crolacians in the audience, as always.

Happy Pills!

(To the melody of Lit de Parade by Army of Lovers)

Looking cute,
Happy pills in my fruit,
Happy pills in my fruit,
Looking cute, looking cute,
Happy pills in my fruit,
Looking cute, looking cute,
Happy pills in my fruit

Disco robbers in the sky,
Helling freezes, I'm so high,
Kittens dancing in a bowl,
Eating soup with your soul,
Disco-ball in my eye,
Feeling like a failing lie,
Crying on a pizza slice,
Eating stuff and speaking mice,

Wake up smiling,
Pill in your mouth,
Foaming pleasure,
Your heart says 'I'm out',
Wake up smiling,
Find camera,
Record button,
Porn orgy, ya

Feeling like a magic pill,
Nothing bad, nothing swill,
Looking at a angel white,
Swallow it, no respite,
Magic of the dancing 'corn,
Rubbing ointment on his horn,
Feeling like the devil true,
I see colors over you

Ecstasy,
No escape,
Trip is here,
Feeling great,
Dancing wild,
Super gay,
Take me now,
Take me, yay

Wake up smiling,
Pill in your mouth,
Foaming pleasure,
Your heart says 'I'm out',
Wake up smiling,
Find camera,
Record button,
Porn orgy, ya

Grabbing on the balls so high,
Ailing like a mountain dye,
Prancing in the fleeting groove,
Moving like a credit hoof,
Bleating at the sun to fry,
Frying makes the beauty die,
Dying of eternal bless,
Dancing in your uncle's dress

Wake up smiling,
Disco robbers in the sky,
Helling freezes, I'm so high,
Pill in your mouth,
Kittens dancing in a bowl,
Eating soup with your soul,
Foaming pleasure,
Looking cute, screwing hate,
Raising Buddha's head up high,
Take the pill, make you fly,
Fill the room with your tang,
Golden shower with a bang

Wake up smiling,
Find camera,
Record button,
Porn orgy, ya,
Porn orgy, ya,
Happy pills in my fruit,
Porn orgy, ya,
Porn orgy, ya,
Happy pills in my fruit!

KINGFORDIAN COMMENTARY

Commentators:
Sergei Aramov (Kingfordian TV Presenter and WV17 contestant)
Katya Verbaijean (Kingfordian WV8, WV14 Contestant)

Katya: And Welcome back to the 23rd WorldVision Song Contest live from Canterlot!

Sergei: Next up is the contestants from KINGTON LANGLEY... give it up for BENJAM!!!!

KINGTON LANGLEY
Sergei: Nice composition with emotional lyrics.... will it do well? I honestly can't predict with this one. It's a really hard one to determine. But judging by previous scores by the Kingtonian entries of the past contests we're looking at a possible 15th place. Good luck guys.

Katya: Boring! ho hum! It was a little to sad and soppy for me. I like energetic songs that make you feel good. While the lyrics are beautiful... it just really is the type of song I'd liken to hearing at a funeral and it just dosn't do it for me. But if you at home like it add 36 to the number on your screen

CROLACIA
S: I always like Crolacian entries and this one is no exception. I love this one and the vocalist was amazing. The song was strong and I think it'll do well. I hope it doees

K: Beautiful, talented and what a voice that performer has! And the human piano is wow!.... just wow! I love the emotional impact of the song and it's a real tearjerker too.

s: Add 37 to the number to vote

K: Now next up is the Grittonian entry! "Happy Pills"

Antonio: Hello and we are back after quite possibly the world's longest commercial break in the history of the world ever, period.

Diana: Yeah, those ad's for Amigo's and Viagra and “Viaje a Calimera” were really annoying. It's so good to get back to hearing music rather than ads. Tell me Antonio, who is next to grace our ears?

Antonio: Zavlia apparently.

Zavlia: Ani bi sun Vanlav

Antonio: The only thing that was remotely nice about the song was the singer.

Diana: Quite. That sounded like we'd been flown back thirty years. Please, don't vote for this. Don't call your numbers on your screens and don't send us an SMS to 5306. Please.

Antonio: And up next, we have the Betherlands, who sound like they are taking the piss.

The Betherlands: Ar Roch

Diana (over banging noises in the background): Antonio, that can't be good for you.

Antonio: (Bang) It's (bang) so (bang) shit. Seriously, this isn't a folk song contest, otherwise we would have sent a bunch of mountain men and some llamas and not what we did.

Diana: It can't be that bad.

Antonio: It is. Which is why I have decided to lighten up the mood here.

We hear the sound of glasses clinking and a bottle being clunked on the table.

Diana (sarcastically): Vodka. How original.

Antonio: Well, we're going to hear a lot of terrible songs tonight so might as well pass the time doing something fun. Want some?

Diana: Sure. What about the voting?

Antonio: Oh yeah. Number's on your screen, vote online at our website and the SMS number is 5307.

Diana: Up next, we have Eirann Fae with We are the Faeries.

Eirann Fae: We Are the Faeries

Antonio: And now you know, ladies and gentlemen, why you presenters are currently downing a bottle of vodka. To make music like this sound better than it is.

Diana: I hope this isn't going to be like this for the rest of the competition. Seriously, I couldn't handle the noise.

Antonio: Once again, we repeat, please don't vote for this. Don't send anything to 5308. Please, Diana. Tell us who is next.

Diana: We have Fae Omega with Fae Omega Might!

Fae Omega: Fae Omega Might!

Antonio: And a thousand rappers in the slums have collectively put on their bling and are now riding around at 2 mph on mopeds. This is going to end well.

Diana: I thought the competition was going to get better, not worse. I can't think of anything worse than this.

Antonio: What about Zavlia's entry?

Diana: Ah yes, that is worse. I have a dare for the audience. Send an SMS to 5309 and we'll give you 50 pesos. And we're serious.

Antonio: Don't encourage them. And anyway, up next, we have your favourite country Diana, the one you can't pronounce?

Diana: YAY! Good music at last!

Phoenigetuzstha: Just One Smile

Diana: Not as good as their last entry, but it is much better than what we've heard so far. I'm definitely voting for it.

Antonio: A sole ray of sunshine as come through the clouds so to speak.

Diana: That was quite poetic Antonio.

Antonio: It's the vodka.

Diana: Right. Well, we want everyone at home to call their numbers on their screens, vote online at www.canaluno.tv.cf/worlvision or send us an SMS to 5310.

Antonio: And as if they couldn't bear to leave us alone for a few minutes, the ads about penises and Calimera will return momentarily.

38. Chenkorya
Julianna Ozeryuk - Ya Nyi Mozhu Zabuty
To the melody of Missä Muruseni On, by Jenni Vartiainen

Winning ChenkorVision wasn't easy, not at all. Especially for unknown people like Julianna Ozeryuk. Year after year she send songs, but none of them was even good enough to participate in the provincial finals. She was totally surprised when she heard Ya Nyi Mozhu Zabuty was good enough to participate in the provincial finals of ChenkorVision 6, and even more when she heard she was through to the semifinals. She became a favourite and she was hyped by the hosts. She knew that the lights, the cameras and the choreography had made her performance even better. But when Isabyela Sebastinyuk performed Whiteout, she immediately realized that was going to be her biggest opponent: kind of similar songs, both favourites. In the end Julianna finished first, Isabyela third, which wasn't enough for her to go to the World Hit Festival. Julianna thought Isabyela deserved it more than Terezija + The Laydowns did. This was her moment, now she had to make her nation proud. She wanted to win so bad, also for her own popularity: she would soon release her début album 'Styinyi' which means 'Walls' in Chenkoryan. But her nation expected her to win.

Julianna was wearing a pretty neutral black dress (like the one in the beginning of this video). But you couldn't see her yet. The stage was totally black, black like the night. Black was the only colour that suited this song perfectly. When the music started playing, a spotlight on Julianna turned on, and she was sitting on the front of the stage, on her knees, like this, but with a different dress and without the cape. Actually, you couldn't see that, since she was surrounded by her dress. After the mysterious intro of the song, Julianna started singing with a haunting, emotion-full yet cold voice.

Ya nyi mozhu zabuty yak tsyu khyozyen iyatu chyor (I can’t forget how every blossom suddenly turned black)
Yak tsyu odina oryu eyatu vyor (How every single light was turned off)
Yak tsyu odina myist tu myi podimu z nya vlyu ryuk, eyatu pyiz znyikhivit po nyaseb znyu (How every single city that we built with our own hands, was later destroyed by ourselves again)
Akveduki tu raz khyaraktyatu kryuvyut tu eyatu myu (The aqueducts that once typified the landscape that was us)
Mosti tu myi pratimu kuyt nya zhyt (The bridges that we worked on all our lives)
Tyam eyat nyoch lyivchor vid iykh, bo eyut kuyt tin zmeteny, shcho bo moyutu prot odina kryap dyit (There’s nothing left of them, they are all just swept away, because they couldn’t hold a single drop of rain)

The cameras zoomed in on Julianna's face, which looked mysterious with the bits of black make-up she used. She was now going to sing the first refrain of the song, although you couldn't really call it a refrain yet, because of the quietness of it. She continued singing with the same haunting voice, while closing her eyes some times and making small movements with her hands, to tell everyone this was really a refrain, and that this was sung with more passion than the previous part.

Zlamanii richyu nyi moyat shovut shlya bo eyutu dyo (Broken things, can’t get back to the way they were before)
Nyi navut z klyut vyi shoyatu e dyokh (Not even with a glue you got from far away)
Lyampyochnyu nyi pratyat byez elektrychnyuskyast (Light bulbs don’t work without electricity)
Sho vyi eya ii dynamo kuyt chyast (Unless you are its dynamo all the time)

'Okay, now she has to move!' That's what everyone probably thought and that's what Julianna did. She got up, but the cameras didn't show that because they were filming her face only. Julianna asked for that because she thought getting up looked plump. The cameras now zoomed out and they were showing her full body now from the front. She was walking to the back of the stage but because the cameras filmed her from the front, only the people in the crowd noticed it. Next to her was some kind of human hallway, with one person on the left and one on the right, standing like a statue wearing inconspicuous but all the same clothes. Julianna sang the next verses with the same haunted and mysterious voice.

Ya nyi mozhu zabuty yak kuyt airky styu proz ya plnye (I can’t forget how all stars became transparent when I cried)
Yak suziryia styu pvonistyuk zbetezhnye (How constellations became totally confused)
Yak nya linkoryu potonyatu i styu lyeh zhyert dyu sama vyiit (How our battleships sunk and became easy preys for the slightest breeze of wind)
Nu bo eyut barzhya navut Byoh nyi mat plyit (Now they’re barges even God cannot sail in)

The performance had been magical but simple so far. In the back of the stage, a huge thing stood, although the cameras didn't really show what it is yet. During the verse, Julianna walks up a small stairs while the people of the human softly hum along to the song, which could have been pre-recorded as well. In the edge of the cameras' view you see someone walking away, and near the end of the verse, Julianna sits down on a stool. She sings with a haunting voice, and after the verse, when the music becomes louder, the whole thing Julianna is sitting on is revealed by the cameras.

Popryet publikatsya istoryi pryo nyuk (Previous publications of the story about us)
Eyutu kuyt znyikhivit po malyi tlihyuk (Where all destroyed by a small smoldering fire)
Sama novye versiya nyuk eyat drama pryo blyiy (The newest version of us, is a drama about pain)
Pryo lyudu zryobli tsyukar v dyiy (About people made of sugar in the rain)

The music becomes louder and for one second the whole stage is illuminated in a bright white colour. After that, it turns black again, but with spotlights on several places on the stage, including the place Julianna was sitting. It's a huge block with a grand piano built in it, with a round underside. This is made so it can roll around a bit. On the sides of the thing, big poles are attached. The people of the human hallway have partially gathered around the thing, and together they are pushing the thing round and round on the beat of the music, taking a step on every beat, which makes the whole thing turn around slowly. This whole scene can be seen in this video. During the refrain Julianna plays the piano now and then, but she mostly makes movements with her hands. And she doesn't have to play the piano, because on other places on the stage, the same thing happens, but then with men behind the grand pianos. Julianna plays on the middle one and she is showed the most, the other moving pianos are only seen on views of the whole stage.

Mya vyi kyol podyvit ideyalk kyit tsvisy v temnyi? (Have you ever seen a perfect flower blooming in the dark?)
Spravya mislènt tu hlyuk lyudu moyat chyat ptyi? (Do you think that deaf people can hear birds?)
Mya vyi kyol podyvit misyats syasyaty byez syi? (Have you ever seen the moon shining without the sun behind?)
Nyi moya, sho vyi eya ii styuch syoryu kuyt vyuk zhyi (You can’t, unless you are its artificial sunlight all your life)

In the first loud refrain the turning pianos had only been rotating, but now the two grand pianos Julianna was not playing moved towards the most important one, which was Julianna's one. During that, Julianna sang the refrain with even more power and emotion for the second time. This song was a heavy song, about a dead relationship, a relationship where the two lovers would do nothing for each other, where the one doesn't support the other anymore, where it seems that their love has never been true even though they both thought it was, and where the smallest things can ruin it all. She played more now, because she didn't need the heavy movements with her arms anymore. That was because big wind machines had been placed in the front of the stage, and that gave beautiful effects for the whole scene, and especially for Julianna's beautiful NATURAL black hair.

Mya vyi kyol podyvit kryov tekty byez byity syerts? (Have you ever seen blood flowing without a beating heart?)
Krov tyilkyut tektyat byez byity kol’vyi yertst (Blood only flows without a heart when you’re stabbed)
Tyam eyat nyi rozhlechny, vyi mya nyi kolodnyi razom (There’s no breaking up, you’ve never been together)
Kol’tin hyalkyu eyat dyostyat ruzhchyet zknom (When just one pebble is enough to break your house)

Julianna stopped playing, and got up, and closed her eyes and stretched her arms like they do in the Titanic, which made a beautiful scene with the blowing wind machines of course. The other two rotating pianos were now next to Julianna's and the background 'dancers' who had worked live slaves were still turning around the three pianos. Julianna sang the last line of the song with a lot of power.

Vyi mya nyi, oh, kolodnyi razom... (You've never been together...)

Julianna's voice faded away but the music and the lights didn't, they continued playing heavily, heavier than before, for some seconds. After a while the music slowed down and a soft part came, the intro actually. The dancers started pushing the pianos less, and the platforms were almost standing still in the end. Just before the lights faded away, the pianos had rotated 360 degrees again, and Julianna was standing straight to the crowd with her face. The lights then faded away, and after some seconds of darkness a soft 'Spaxhibo Canterlot!' was heard...

A: Welcome to the second part of the TOPtv coverage of WorldVision 24, and we-
*mumbling*
C: We have breaking news live from Canterlot. Entry number 13, from Demphor, has officially been disqualified. After review, it was found out that, not to many peoples surprise, over 90% of the Demphorian entry was copied DIRECTLY from the original song.
A: Not surprising at all, to be honest. But we were hoping that after a terrible performance like that, our chances would be high. Now we can only wait and see.
A: Anyways, here's song 15, from the Royal Kingdom of Quebec. It's Lauren Ainslie with her song "Unrequited Love" written in part by herself!
C: Quite unique already! Here they are, song 15.

The Royal Kingdom of Quebec perform

A: Great song, and a performance that matched the struggle mentioned in the song. A winner right here.
C: Hate to ruin the moment, but her accent was terrible. Ruined it. Barely understood her. Bleh.
A: Hard act to follow! Who's next?
C:...the Nuclear Fist. An old man singing...hope it's better than that Yako-whatevers entry last edition.
A: I hope so too...song 16. Lamentations, Ahmad Ali Durrani.

The Nuclear Fist performs

C: OK voice, but no doubt the best lyrics so far.
A: Ooh yes! Now comes..Yakostan.
C: Oh dear, don't...not...

Yakostan performs

A: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
C: MAKE IT STOP
A: THEY WON'T STOP
C: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT MESS OF A SONG AUGH
A: Calm down, calm down...the host entry is next. Let's look all classy and professional.
C: Well, it's the most anticipated entry. Ponies and humans are going crazy before the entry is even ready. Great home crowd!
A: If our national final is this loud, imagine if we win a host bid..
C: Don't get your hopes up. Anyway, Song 18. Lets Fly Together, by Lyrinthia ft. Jazzy Rythms.

New United Equestria performs.

C: COME ON LET'S FLY!
A: TOGETHER!
C: YOU AND ME ARE TAKING OVER THE WOOOOOOORLD
A: Catchy, stunning performance, the vibe from the crowd really pushed her to the limits of her musical ability.
C: Easy top 10, with any nation. Host entry merits just make it easier! Great job, NUE!
A: Next is Albertsaby, a slow love song by a co-ed group.
C: Song 19. Trophy Wife.

Albertasby performs

A: Wedding song!
C: If one member proposed to another with this song at the end, call it a sweet ending to a sweeter contest.
A: Blissful, innocent, beautiful.
C: A string of great songs. Can Calimera keep it up?

Calimera performs
A: Nope. Pop trash at its finest.
C: Or should we say worst.
A: Come on, the kids loved it.
C: Well if the kids liked that, they'll love Serzchepha and their entry. "AMAGO ZALË"
A: Oh dear...song 20.

Serzchepha performs

C: The course of this contest went from amazing to trashy in 10 minutes.
A: Gaituzstha is next, with an upbeat pop number by a redhead.
C: Is she a leprachaun?
A: :palm: no.
C: awww darn.
A: Song 21.
C: TWO ANY ONE! OH OH OOH O-
A: HURRY UP ALREADY!

Gaituzstha performs

C: Back to some good music.
A: Not my cup of tea, but a good team behind her, and she could do better than expected.

*to be continued*

39 - Mediterra - Mediterranija
"Monterra"

Performed by DeNebro ft Kalikat
Composed by Denebro
Lyrics by DeNebro, Kalikat
Melody (Empire State of Mind - Jay-Z ft Alicia Keys)

DeNebro was standing on the edge of the long walkway that extends into the audience. While the song was starting, the background screen flashed various pictures of Monterra, and then the camera zoomed into DeNebro.

It's a bit hot here, the sun's shining so bright
But the breeze is blowing, the wind right to my face
As I walk down the street, see people everywhere
People going everywhere, yeah, they live all over here
I sometimes climb the mountain, to go to Archaeopoli
Up there on the mountain, then I go to that tall tower
Torra di Monterra, of them all - the tallest
Catch me on the observation deck viewin' the city
Turning on Kirsa, people shoppin'
So many clothes, but seafood is on the south
Me? Y'know I'm just here, checkin' out the city
Now I wanna know what is the best they can offer
Greeting them ma' neighbours, happy to live here
Sittin' outside, cars and birds going past by
I'll have a Lätbir, come enjoy the scenery
I know you're interested, I know you're welcome in

Then the camera zoomed out and switched to a view of the main stage, where Kalikat was standing on top of a platform, with backing singers standing on the lower parts of the platform (similar to this picture). She sings the following along with her backing singers.

Monterra...
Benvënyda i kapital di
(Welcome to the capital of)
Mediterranija
(Mediterra)
Nära i Monterra...
(When in Monterra...)
Monterra är söt önt bella
(Monterra is sweet and beautiful)
Men en bella melodi
(Like a beautiful melody)
Sëkë i Monterra…
(Because in Monterra...)

TO BE COMPLETED
Archaeopoli: A hill overlooking Monterra and the name of the ruins of the Ancient Greek city on it
Torra Di Monterra: Tallest building on the island. Has an observation deck.
Kirsa: The Mediterran equivalent to the Ginza district in Japan or Orchard Road in Singapore; basically one of the most busiest districts and a shopping paradise for Mediterrans
"Seafood is on the south": Most Monterran fisherman live south of Monterra, in villages on the outskirts of the city. Consequently, many seafood eateries open here too.
Lätbir: A popular drink, esp in Monterra, which consists of condensed milk mixed into beer.

SRË Worldvision 23 Coverage

Alaxa: Hello and welcome to SRË's first broadcast of the Worldvision Song Contest, I'm Alaxa Tenghën
Gio: Welcome to the coverage live from Canterlot, New United Equestria. I'm Gio Mhevrota and you are watching presumably because nothing better to watch is on.
Alaxa: For the first act of the night we have Lymantatia!
Gio: Here we go.

Lymantatia

Alaxa: Nice, but gets a little repetitive.
Gio: I didn't catch a word of that, but it wasn't horrible.
Alaxa: Up next we have Fusha Me-Bar

Fusha Me-Bar

Gio: Was that the start of a porn or a dance act?
Alaxa: An interesting performance from Pusha Me-Bar, I liked the end where they spoke in their native tongue.
Gio: It sounds a bit like Sergovard. Up next, Costa Fiero.

Costa Fiero

Alaxa: Night and day between this and the last act.
Gio: More like night and a space ship.
Alaxa: Beautiful act, I'm sure they'll be getting some points from Serzchepha. Next we have Polkopia!

Polkopia

Alaxa: I like when they sing in their native languages.
Gio: And thus the awful world pop, begins...hopefully the next act is better.
Alaxa: Next country: Folkand!

Folkand

Alaxa: Another wonderful entry.
Gio: More awful pop music and the singer is shrill. Although, the simplistic presentation was nice. Next we have Zavlia.

Zavlia

Gio: Funny, did all these singers shop at the same store?
Alaxa: A nice show by Zavlia, which like Serzchepha is making its debut at Worldvision.
Gio: I didn't think it was horrific. Up now is the Betherlands.

The Betherlands

Gio: Was she singing or gargling?
Alaxa: A very culturally based performance from the Betherlands.
Gio: That faux strip-tease plainly put this into awful territory.
Alaxa: Next is Eireann Fae!

Eireann Fae

Alaxa: Interesting...
Gio: I just don't get the fairie costumes. Or the type or music. Or anything. What's next?
Alaxa: Fae Omega!

Fae Omega

Alaxa: Also interesting, a very original special effects show.
Gio: Can't distract me from the lyrics. Better than the last performance. Next is...how do I pronounce this?
Alaxa: Phoenigetuzstha.
Gio: Fonegethushathat.
Alaxa: Next is Phoenigetuzstha!

Phoenigetuzstha

Gio: Back to the pop. Those poor mirrors. Though the real victims here are people actually watching this.
Alaxa: A lot of emphasis on dance here, very well done.
Gio: Next up, Communist Quinntopia!

Communist Quinntopia

Gio: Is this real life? People listen to this?
Alaxa: It reminds me a lot of Eireann Fae's performance earlier. It seems more what's the word?
Gio: Crap?
Alaxa: Well, they made the point they wanted to get across certainly. Next we have Deblinian Masovia!

Deblinian Masovia

Alaxa: A great performance from Deblinian Masovia! I thought it was a nice mix of traditional and contemporary, as well as culture and pop music.
Gio: Not what I thought, though I did rather like it. Regardless, next up is Demphor.

Demphor

Gio: Moving right along, next is Bloodbath Generation.

Bloodbath Generation

Alaxa: I do like it when they sing in their native language.
Gio: Why all the fairies? Did I miss a memo? It was very nice though.
Alaxa: I liked it a lot. Next is Royal Kingdom of Québec!

Royal Kingdom of Québec

Alaxa: Very emotive. Very sensual.
Gio: Powerful. Though I wasn't keen on the lighting. The acts seem to be getting better.
Alaxa: Next is Rustonia!

Rustonia

Alaxa: What.
Gio: That was incredible. Very original. I hope it wins.
Alaxa: Too much nationalism. Next is Yakostan!

Yakostan

Gio: What.
Alaxa: Stripping seems to be quite the vogue at this contest.
Gio: Was that a man?
Alaxa: I don't even know.
Gio: Next up we have our hosts, New United Equestria!

New United Equestria

Alaxa: A very nice act.
Gio: What was with the horse?
Alaxa: I'm sure they are certain to win some points from Serzchepha, next is Albertasby!

Albertasby

Gio: That was nice.
Alaxa: Better than nice, I can see that doing very well with Sergovard viewers.
Gio: I wouldn't get so excited, and we're thankfully at our first commercial break. We'll return soon with more scintillating commentary of the Worldvision Song Contest!

40. Saviera
The Tija Song, by The Awkward Violin Guy and T.I.J.A

The tune is Hot Problems, by Double Take
ImageThe Tija is the national animal of Saviera and their sound is "Havro". T.I.J.A is a Tija boyband. Members: Treno, Itse, Joaz, Athu

ImageReal name Ermah Gerd

Before the song The Awkward Violin Guy (TAVG) breaks his violin and, throws it away.
Maroon is for TAVG, and orange is for T.I.J.A
Look at them and tell them your feels
Aren't they cute?
But people don't know
What they go through

Those cute animals
Frustrated much
Cause they want to
Meet the goddess of their dreams

I am not wrong
They know that they stand
That anatomy of them is kinda rare
We benefit from
Them cause they're from here
Tija, the Savieran animal

Tijas they act just like you
But when we say
Hi they say
Havro Havro
We could do what they cannot do
We could both lust
But unlike us they can't get some fun

They've got two horns
They have got hooves
But those things don't make them some cows
Some say they're just myth
Or pokemon maybe
But they're actually real and living in peace

Just cause their goddess
Is so freakin' hot
Regardless of gender
They just wanna do her

Tijas have udders
And they're mostly furry
Funny thing is their tales are a li'l bit furry

Tijas they act just like you
But when we say
Hi they say
Havro Havro
We could do what they cannot do
We could both lust
But unlike us they can't get some

Tijas they act just like you
But when we say
Hi they say
Havro Havro
We could do what they cannot do
We could both lust
But unlike us they can't get some fun

Why just why can't you see
That we are just like you
We walk on two but have an udder

Now you know what Tija's are like

Tijas they act just like you
But when we say
Hi they say
Havro Havro
We could do what they cannot do
We could both lust
But unlike us they can't get some

Tijas they act just like you
But when we say
Hi they say
Havro Havro
We could do what they cannot do
We could both lust
But unlike us they can't get some fun

It's real
We're Tijas

After the performance, this picture appeared:

Yakostan Voting
With hosts Tiffany and Donald

DonaldImageTiffany: (I am Dave! Yognaut and I have the balls!)Image

Donald: What an amazing WorldVision this has been for Yakostan Tiffany
Tiffany: No it hasn't! Everybody hated us!
Donald: Well, everybody's too serious. So now, drumroll please, lets do the voting!

D: And our 1 point goes to Mediterra!

T: Too serious I thought Donald. But they're usually up there in the rankings.

D: 2 points go to Chenkoyra!

Tiffany: Again too serious. But If we don't vote for her then we'll be accused of sexism. It's a lose/lose situation Donald.

D: 3 Points goes to Fusha Me-Bar!

T: A nice debut entry to World Vision from Fusha. Although I hate the tune. Just saying.

D: Yakostan's 4 points goes to... The Betherlands!

T: What language was she speaking there??
D: I have no idea.
T: Well. Goodness.. Who knows what she was saying. But I was laughing throughout it.

D: Our 5 points go to Alberstaby!

T: A magnificent entry from Alberstaby. Certainly I'll be accused of sexism If I don't vote for her.

D: Our 6 points go to our host, New United Equestria!

T: Bronyism is obviously flying across the world Donald.
D: Certainly. A great entry, and magnificent hosting.

D: Our 7 points go to Grittonia!

T: Certainly better than our entry Donald!
D: Yeah, I agree. On par with Beards I would think.
T: A great and quite scary entry from Grittonia gets them 7 points. Now, for the bronze medal!

D: The Yakostan Bronze Medal and 8 points goes to... Bloodbath Generation!

T: One of the few nations that thought our entry was alright. That alone earns them 8 points.
D: Still, a very nice entry. Although I can't listen to it properly without picturing Togepi singing it. Ah well. Next up, our silver medal!

D: The Yakostan Silver Medal and 10 points goes to... Eirran Fae!

T: I can guarantee you said that wrong.
D: Who knows how to spell it. I don't even think they can.
T: A great entry from Eirran Fae and some nice compliments to us. Now finally, the gold medal!

D: The Yakostan Gold Medal and 12 points goes to... Communist Quintopia!!!

T: WHAT A ENTRY!
D: Totally not based on his opinion to our entry! :? Our great friends from Communist Quintopia have pulled off another belter!
T: I would agree.

D: And that concludes Yakostan's voting.
T: No it hasn't actually Donald, I just got handed a piece of paper. Read it out.
D: Okay...

And the Yakostan Punch in the Face award and the -5 points that comes with it goes to Phoen.

D: When did this come into play?
T: Just now! The voters have said Donald.
D: Are we even allowed to do this? There's no -5 points in WorldVision.
T: Well there is now. Serves them right for having a hard to spell name.
D: Well, be prepared for the shitstorm coming in the OOC thread, it's your fault.

T: And that concludes Yakostan's voting!
D: Yes, we would like to thank the competing nations, as well as Old Man Jim for his terrible, terrible entry.
T: And of course, Thank you NUE for your fantastic hosting. You were amazing!
D: Thank you NUE.
T: Next year Yakostan will bid to become Host, as well as possibly commentate!
D: What. Who's going to vote for us???
T: Well, we're actually going to have lyrics next time!!!!
D: Oh that's good news.

D: That has been Yakostan's voting! Good night!

DEBLINIAN VOTING

Image
