I agree. The lightest pack we carried during basic training was 30kg already (~66lbs), not including the rifle, helmet, etc. We had to march several kilometers with that.

Tank: Modified 1 man British Challenger

Helicopter: Modified Russian Hinds

I dunno why any normal person would consider Blocks ugly guns. After all, Block pistols have an incredible track record for being some of the most reliable pistols on the planet. Sure, the Glock ain't no PPK or Luger but its not bad. And being made out of plastic it actually looks like a handgun and not something you could use to club a man to death.

And that is bad because?

The reason thou would be simple. Polymers pistols are lighter and thus better suited for a military sidearm. A luger action means that while the barrel does move there is no moving slide like in regular semi automatics, thus any rails that I mount and rail mounted accessories can remain still. Combine that with a boxy frame over the barrel and I get 4 rails instead of 1. So I have both the military (light, compact, reliable) and the mall ninja (tacticool) markets covered. Instant export success.
