OOC: Hmm. If you're saying this is an attempt to provide an IC rationale for OOC moderation actions, then how is that not MetaGaming.

I don't really like these sorts of proposals so don't have much to contribute, not going to do a legality challenge, just mildly curious how definitions have shifted.

Ooc: it's not directly tied to moderator action in a way that implicates the game. You can theoretically be warned and implicate no rp. Similarly, I'm sure you can rp a complaint without a warn. I view it much like introducing the concept of noncompliance was not metagaming.

The UN has an internal procedure for addressing harrassment, sexual and otherwise, and while it's less robust (go figure, real countries dont tolerate that crap), I still felt it was a viable effort to codify here, given WA Ambassador's diplomatic immunity.

OOC: I'm not 100% certain diplomatic immunity applies, because it only applies "by the nation in which the diplomat is serving". Ambassadors to the WA aren't serving in a nation because WAHQ is not in any nation. And if it were the WA itself taking the action then that's permitted. Possibly?

That's unless I'm forgetting some other resolution that gives WA Ambassadors diplomatic immunity.

I may be blind to the realities, but I haven't seen any OOC harassment that could have prompted this resolution -- and it would be a job for moderation anyway. My opposition is IC, as the WA (Like the real life counterpart) is the accepted international forum for expressing hatred.

I do not care for absurd take that this is either some kind of mod-replacement draft to provide an IC mechanism for harassment; it's silly. And I certainly don't care for the, what is quite honestly RP-wank about having an especially dickish ambassador. Nothing in this draft prevents you from RPing how you like. In In-Character terms, this is entirely reasonable, and more importantly, very RP driven legislation. Frankly we need more of that.

Leo bursts into the debating chamber, the right sleeve of his suit jacket for some reason soaking wet up to the elbow, and blood dripping slowly from his left hand. He does not seem to notice the blood until he gets some of it on the paper copy of the draft waiting for him at the SL desk. He shakes his head in dismissal as he skims the paper, then looks up.

"Opposed! Do you know how many sea life nations there are in this infernal nuthouse? If ambassadors were to be docked or demerited or censured every time they tried to hit the raw bar only to find out that delectable little morsel has plenipotentiary power, why... I shudder to think of it! Everyone with any taste, imagination, or connoisseurship would be out in a day! Tear this up, sir, and compost it to help feed the rabbits in yon hutch." He tilts his head at a small group of adorable flop-eared bunnies in a tasteful wooden box atop a nearby desk. "Some of them are looking quite plump and ready to be slau... wh-- No! Don't tell me they're a delegation too?!?"

Leo slumps down in his chair, tears in his eyes. "Damned selfish shellfish, and now the coneys are to be off limits too? Nay. This, we fight!"
