General Assembly Proposal
ID: the_endorian_state_1546655679

Constitution Of The People
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Civil Rights

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: The Endorian state

BELIEVING that this august body has the responsibility and purpose of improving the world.

NOTING that many people, in certain nations, do not have access to fundamental civil rights, which shall be stated in Article 1.

Article 1

Clause A: People do not have access to fair uncorrupt trials before prosecution.

Clause B: People do not have access to free and equal education.

Clause C: People do not have access to enough food and water to survive.

Clause D: People do not have the freedom to decide their own actions. Even if those actions do not undermine their nations law.

Clause E: People do not have the freedom to move without hindrance.

Article 2

THEREFORE a committee known as: The People's Committee should be created to enforce and grant the rights as stated in (Clause 1- Clause 5) to all people.

The committee shall act as an international center for aid and shall hear all the cases presented to it by people who need protection from their government.

All cases which have merit and substantial evidence (Whether the evidence is substantial enough shall be decided by said committee) to prove a governments misconduct shall be presented to the international community. This being all nations

This community shall then hear the full facts of the case and shall decide whether to condemn the implicated nation/nations.

Below are the rights which the committee shall enforce.

Clause 1: The right that all people should be able to access a fair uncorrupt trial before prosecution. Which means that all people must be equal before the law.

Clause 2: The right that all people should have access to education.

Clause 3: The right that all people should have access to enough food and water to survive.

Clause 4: The right that all people should have the freedom to choose their own actions. Unless those actions go against the laws set out by the nation in which they reside.

Clause 5: The right that all people must have the freedom of movement. Which means that people may move from one nation to another without being forcefully prevented. Unless the said person does not have the legal documents required by the nation which they wish to leave.

To not pass this resolution would be a gross miscarriage of justice.

I believe condemning nations amount to metagaming. Aside from that, I believe this breaks the 'committee only' rule. Also honest mistake, as a few of the issue's 'addressed' are already dealt with by other resolutions.

Honest mistake rule only applies to repeals. But the proposal duplicates too many resolutions to count, and contradicts (the free movement bit) a few others.

End Slavery In All Regions

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Civil Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Strong union state

Nations should not be push around by dictatorship. The buck stops here which means I am proposing all regions be commanded to stop dictatorship in all of NationStates it is wrong on so many levels and should not be a part of freedom of speech or choice for regions at all! I would encourage nations and regions to vote and support this proposal. Nations should not be pushed around by their regions with that being said I am not saying end rules in regions I am saying for regions not to be over powering and same with letting nations leave regions with being hassled and mocked or picked on about it. I think this proposal really needs to be enforced in nationstates for the good of the nations and regions at stake.

Branding, blogging, meta-gaming, and ideological ban. This has it all.

Repeal: “WA General Fund”

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#17

Proposed by: Suternia

General Assembly Resolution #17 “WA General Fund” (Category: Furtherment of Democracy; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

The World Assembly,

Recognizes the lack on necessity for nations to contribute money with this institution, which could in theory, be better spent to provide individual citizens in each nation things such as: A better quality of life; more invesment in public services (healthcare, schools, police, etc); helping in the protection of the environment; more investment in infrastructure; as well as any other national spendings which each individual government may consider beneficial for their nation.

Regretting that, instead of using such a valuable and important resource for invesment in each individual nation, this institution is utilizing it's money for poorly described purposes, causing a wasteful spending of national resources from nations member of this institution.

The World Assembly hereby repeals the “WA General Fund” resolution.

seems rather bloggy.

General Assembly Proposal

Repeal: “Preventing Groundwater Contamination”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#453

Proposed by: History club

General Assembly Resolution #453 “Preventing Groundwater Contamination” (Category: Environmental; Industry Affected: All Businesses - Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

The act Preventing Groundwater Contamination is a useless act for the very fact that it is an act not voted on by all of the members of the World Assembely

Blogging, Also it does not address any arguements and could be reasonably read as an appeal to natsov.

Repeal: “Preventing Groundwater Contamination”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#453

Proposed by: Novo Ecijano

General Assembly Resolution #453 “Preventing Groundwater Contamination” (Category: Environmental; Industry Affected: All Businesses - Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Though the very essence of the approved resolution is perhaps valid and legal in a matter of requisites intended for a proposal to be legal but the legal of effect of which is not binding to all the member states of the Assembly for lacking of necessary enforcement and supervision.
The said law is lacking of enforceable and binding effect to the said resolution

Honestly, I am not entirely sure what they are trying to argue (so understandable English may apply) otherwise it seems to perhaps be arguing that the initial proposal was illegal (stating that it is not binding to all nations) and references it lacking enforcement (disregarding that most WA resolutions do not actually detail how enforcement is enacted, this is prescribed by other resolutions).

End Food Shortage In All Regions

A resolution to enact uniform standards that protect workers, consumers, and the general public.

Category: Regulation

Area of Effect: Consumer Protection

Proposed by: Strong union state

I propose we make sure Regions are not making food go short for many Regions. This is a safety issue we cannot let Nations forceful ration their peoples food and same with Regions we cannot let Regions force food shortage on any Nation. I hope my bill proposal is found appropriate cause it seems like a very important issue that should be voted across all Regions & Nations.

Branding and blogging and metagaming

International Ban Of Smoking

A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Healthcare

Proposed by: South Krimelski

Many scientists have proofen that smoking affects the health of all citizens, not just people who smoke, but all people around them. It promotes lung cancer, several skin diseases, teeth issues, etc. On the one hand, the ban on smoking will help people who do not smoke because they are exposed to the smoke of these substances, on the other hand, it will help the people who consume these substances to lead a healthier and better life.

International Smoking Ban

A resolution to enact uniform standards that protect workers, consumers, and the general public.

Category: Regulation

Area of Effect: Consumer Protection

Proposed by: The Ayrus Tayth Nuky

Smoking is proven to be addicting and harmful to the mind, body, and spirit. Every day, people die from the side effects of cigarettes such as lung cancer. The General Assembly should do something to protect its citizens from the harmful effects of smoking. Therefore, let it be noted that cigarettes are banned in every single country. Let us make a lasting impact and protect our future citizens.

Agreed.
This is the WA Mission of Bears Armed, but is technically defined as a separate nation in its own right for all legal purposes. Population = sixty-four seventy-two staff, plus some dependents.

Apparently our dictionaries differ as to the meaning of “panache”.

Are you even allowed to single out Theocracy nations for actions they should take? Also it may not even do anything. Not sure on that though, but this does seem more like a list of statements that actual laws.

Ambassador Ariela Galadriel Maria Mirase
37 year old Arch-bishop of the Arasi Christian Church (also the youngest ever arch-bishop and fifth woman in the church hierarchy). An attractive but stern woman with a strict adherence to religious and moral ethical codes, also somewhat of an optimist. She was recently appointed to the position following the election of Adrian Midnight to the position of Patriarch.

I fear my accent may have obscured the irony inherent in my statement.
